  4 H369 אין None H7121 קרא calleth H6664 בצדק for justice, H369 ואין nor H8199 נשׁפט pleadeth H530 באמונה for truth: H982 בטוח they trust H5921 על in H8414 תהו vanity, H1696 ודבר and speak H7723 שׁוא lies; H2029 הרו they conceive H5999 עמל mischief, H3205 והוליד and bring forth H205 און׃ iniquity.

  5 H1000 ביצי eggs, H6848 צפעוני cockatrice' H1234 בקעו They hatch H6980 וקורי web: H5908 עכבישׁ the spider's H707 יארגו and weave H398 האכל he that eateth H1000 מביציהם of their eggs H4191 ימות dieth, H2116 והזורה and that which is crushed H1234 תבקע breaketh out H660 אפעה׃ into a viper.

  6 H6980 קוריהם Their webs H3808 לא shall not H1961 יהיו become H899 לבגד garments, H3808 ולא neither H3680 יתכסו shall they cover themselves H4639 במעשׂיהם with their works: H4639 מעשׂיהם their works H4639 מעשׂי works H205 און of iniquity, H6467 ופעל and the act H2555 חמס of violence H3709 בכפיהם׃ in their hands.

  7 H7272 רגליהם Their feet H7451 לרע to evil, H7323 ירצו run H4116 וימהרו and they make haste H8210 לשׁפך to shed H1818 דם blood: H5355 נקי innocent H4284 מחשׁבותיהם their thoughts H4284 מחשׁבות thoughts H205 און of iniquity; H7701 שׁד wasting H7667 ושׁבר and destruction H4546 במסלותם׃ in their paths.

  8 H1870 דרך The way H7965 שׁלום of peace H3808 לא not; H3045 ידעו they know H369 ואין and no H4941 משׁפט judgment H4570 במעגלותם in their goings: H5410 נתיבותיהם paths: H6140 עקשׁו they have made them crooked H1992 להם   H3605 כל whosoever H1869 דרך goeth H3808 בה לא therein shall not H3045 ידע know H7965 שׁלום׃ peace.

  13 H6586 פשׁע In transgressing H3584 וכחשׁ and lying H3068 ביהוה against the LORD, H5253 ונסוג and departing away H310 מאחר from H430 אלהינו our God, H1696 דבר speaking H6233 עשׁק oppression H5627 וסרה and revolt, H2029 הרו conceiving H1897 והגו and uttering H3820 מלב from the heart H1697 דברי words H8267 שׁקר׃ of falsehood.

  14 H5253 והסג is turned away H268 אחור backward, H4941 משׁפט And judgment H6666 וצדקה and justice H7350 מרחוק afar off: H5975 תעמד standeth H3588 כי for H3782 כשׁלה is fallen H7339 ברחוב in the street, H571 אמת truth H5229 ונכחה and equity H3808 לא cannot H3201 תוכל cannot H935 לבוא׃ enter.

  15 H1961 ותהי faileth; H571 האמת Yea, truth H5737 נעדרת faileth; H5493 וסר and he departeth H7451 מרע from evil H7997 משׁתולל maketh himself a prey: H7200 וירא saw H3068 יהוה and the LORD H7489 וירע and it displeased H5869 בעיניו , and it displeased H3588 כי him that H369 אין no H4941 משׁפט׃ judgment.

  27 H3619 ככלוב As a cage H4392 מלא is full H5775 עוף of birds, H3651 כן so H1004 בתיהם their houses H4392 מלאים full H4820 מרמה of deceit: H5921 על therefore H3651 כן therefore H1431 גדלו they are become great, H6238 ויעשׁירו׃ and waxen rich.

  28 H8080 שׁמנו They are waxen fat, H6245 עשׁתו they shine: H1571 גם yea, H5674 עברו they overpass H1697 דברי the deeds H7451 רע of the wicked: H1779 דין the cause, H3808 לא not H1777 דנו they judge H1779 דין the cause H3490 יתום of the fatherless, H6743 ויצליחו yet they prosper; H4941 ומשׁפט and the right H34 אביונים of the needy H3808 לא do they not H8199 שׁפטו׃ judge.

  29 H5921 העל for H428 אלה these H3808 לא Shall I not H6485 אפקד visit H5002 נאם saith H3068 יהוה the LORD: H518 אם   H1471 בגוי a nation H834 אשׁר on such H2088 כזה as this? H3808 לא shall not H5358 תתנקם be avenged H5315 נפשׁי׃ my soul

  1 H6662 צדיק Righteous H859 אתה thou, H3068 יהוה O LORD, H3588 כי when H7378 אריב I plead H413 אליך with H389 אך thee: yet H4941 משׁפטים thee of judgments: H1696 אדבר let me talk H854 אותך with H4069 מדוע Wherefore H1870 דרך doth the way H7563 רשׁעים of the wicked H6743 צלחה prosper? H7951 שׁלו they happy H3605 כל are all H899 בגדי that deal very treacherously? H898 בגד׃ that deal very treacherously?

  6 H3588 כי For H1571 גם even H251 אחיך thy brethren, H1004 ובית and the house H1 אביך of thy father, H1571 גם even H1992 המה they H898 בגדו have dealt treacherously H1571 בך גם with thee; yea, H1992 המה they H7121 קראו have called H310 אחריך after H4392 מלא a multitude H408 אל them not, H539 תאמן thee: believe H3588 בם כי though H1696 ידברו they speak H413 אליך unto H2896 טובות׃ fair words

  8 H1961 ויהי Now it came to pass, H3615 ככלות had made an end H3414 ירמיהו when Jeremiah H1696 לדבר of speaking H853 את   H3605 כל all H834 אשׁר that H6680 צוה had commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H1696 לדבר to speak H413 אל unto H3605 כל all H5971 העם the people, H8610 ויתפשׂו took H853 אתו   H3548 הכהנים that the priests H5030 והנבאים and the prophets H3605 וכל and all H5971 העם the people H559 לאמר him, saying, H4191 מות   H4191 תמות׃  

  21 H8085 וישׁמע heard H4428 המלך the king, H3079 יהויקים And when Jehoiakim H3605 וכל with all H1368 גבוריו his mighty men, H3605 וכל and all H8269 השׂרים the princes, H853 את   H1697 דבריו his words, H1245 ויבקשׁ sought H4428 המלך the king H4191 המיתו to put him to death: H8085 וישׁמע heard H223 אוריהו but when Urijah H3372 וירא it, he was afraid, H1272 ויברח and fled, H935 ויבא and went into H4714 מצרים׃ Egypt;

  22 H7971 וישׁלח sent H4428 המלך the king H3079 יהויקים And Jehoiakim H376 אנשׁים men H4714 מצרים into Egypt, H853 את   H494 אלנתן Elnathan H1121 בן the son H5907 עכבור of Achbor, H376 ואנשׁים and men H854 אתו with H413 אל him into H4714 מצרים׃ Egypt.

  23 H3318 ויוציאו And they fetched forth H853 את   H223 אוריהו Urijah H4714 ממצרים   H935 ויבאהו and brought H413 אל him unto H4428 המלך the king; H3079 יהויקים Jehoiakim H5221 ויכהו who slew H2719 בחרב him with the sword, H7993 וישׁלך and cast H853 את   H5038 נבלתו his dead body H413 אל into H6913 קברי the graves H1121 בני of the common H5971 העם׃ people.

  14 H559 ויאמר Then said H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah, H8267 שׁקר false; H369 אינני not H5307 נפל I fall H5921 על away to H3778 הכשׂדים the Chaldeans. H3808 ולא not H8085 שׁמע But he hearkened H413 אליו to H8610 ויתפשׂ took H3376 יראייה him: so Irijah H3414 בירמיהו Jeremiah, H935 ויבאהו and brought H413 אל him to H8269 השׂרים׃ the princes.

  15 H7107 ויקצפו were wroth H8269 השׂרים Wherefore the princes H5921 על with H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah, H5221 והכו and smote H853 אתו   H5414 ונתנו him, and put H853 אותו   H1004 בית him in prison H612 האסור him in prison H1004 בית in the house H3083 יהונתן of Jonathan H5608 הספר the scribe: H3588 כי for H853 אתו   H6213 עשׂו they had made H1004 לבית that the prison. H3608 הכלא׃ that the prison.

  16 H3588 כי When H935 בא was entered H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah H413 אל into H1004 בית the dungeon, H953 הבור the dungeon, H413 ואל and into H2588 החניות the cabins, H3427 וישׁב had remained H8033 שׁם there H3414 ירמיהו and Jeremiah H3117 ימים days; H7227 רבים׃ many

  4 H559 ויאמרו said H8269 השׂרים Therefore the princes H413 אל unto H4428 המלך the king, H4191 יומת be put to death: H4994 נא We beseech thee, H853 את   H376 האישׁ man H2088 הזה let this H3588 כי for H5921 על thus H3651 כן thus H1931 הוא he H7503 מרפא weakeneth H853 את   H3027 ידי the hands H376 אנשׁי of the men H4421 המלחמה of war H7604 הנשׁארים that remain H5892 בעיר city, H2063 הזאת in this H853 ואת   H3027 ידי and the hands H3605 כל of all H5971 העם the people, H1696 לדבר in speaking H413 אליהם unto H1697 כדברים words H428 האלה such H3588 כי them: for H376 האישׁ man H2088 הזה this H369 איננו not H1875 דרשׁ seeketh H7965 לשׁלום the welfare H5971 לעם people, H2088 הזה of this H3588 כי but H518 אם but H7451 לרעה׃ the hurt.

  5 H559 ויאמר said, H4428 המלך the king H6667 צדקיהו Then Zedekiah H2009 הנה Behold, H1931 הוא he H3027 בידכם in your hand: H3588 כי for H369 אין not H4428 המלך the king H3201 יוכל can do H854 אתכם   H1697 דבר׃ thing

  6 H3947 ויקחו Then took H853 את   H3414 ירמיהו they Jeremiah, H7993 וישׁלכו and cast H853 אתו   H413 אל him into H953 הבור the dungeon H4441 מלכיהו of Malchiah H1121 בן the son H4429 המלך of Hammelech, H834 אשׁר that H2691 בחצר in the court H4307 המטרה of the prison: H7971 וישׁלחו and they let down H853 את   H3414 ירמיהו Jeremiah H2256 בחבלים with cords. H953 ובבור And in the dungeon H369 אין no H4325 מים water, H3588 כי but H518 אם but H2916 טיט mire: H2883 ויטבע sunk H3414 ירמיהו so Jeremiah H2916 בטיט׃ in the mire.

  9 H559 ויאמר Then said H413 אלי he unto H5771 עון me, The iniquity H1004 בית of the house H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H3063 ויהודה and Judah H1419 גדול great, H3966 במאד exceeding H3966 מאד exceeding H4390 ותמלא is full H776 הארץ and the land H1818 דמים of blood, H5892 והעיר and the city H4390 מלאה full H4297 מטה of perverseness: H3588 כי for H559 אמרו they say, H5800 עזב hath forsaken H3068 יהוה The LORD H853 את   H776 הארץ the earth, H369 ואין not. H3068 יהוה and the LORD H7200 ראה׃ seeth

  25 H7195 קשׁר a conspiracy H5030 נביאיה of her prophets H8432 בתוכה in the midst H738 כארי lion H7580 שׁואג thereof, like a roaring H2963 טרף ravening H2964 טרף the prey; H5315 נפשׁ souls; H398 אכלו they have devoured H2633 חסן the treasure H3366 ויקר and precious things; H3947 יקחו they have taken H490 אלמנותיה widows H7235 הרבו they have made her many H8432 בתוכה׃ in the midst

  26 H3548 כהניה Her priests H2554 חמסו have violated H8451 תורתי my law, H2490 ויחללו and have profaned H6944 קדשׁי mine holy things: H996 בין between H6944 קדשׁ the holy H2455 לחל and profane, H3808 לא they have put no difference H914 הבדילו they have put no difference H996 ובין between H2931 הטמא the unclean H2889 לטהור and the clean, H3808 לא neither H3045 הודיעו have they showed H7676 ומשׁבתותי from my sabbaths, H5956 העלימו and have hid H5869 עיניהם their eyes H2490 ואחל and I am profaned H8432 בתוכם׃ among

  27 H8269 שׂריה Her princes H7130 בקרבה in the midst H2061 כזאבים thereof like wolves H2963 טרפי ravening H2964 טרף the prey, H8210 לשׁפך to shed H1818 דם blood, H6 לאבד to destroy H5315 נפשׁות souls, H4616 למען to H1214 בצע get H1215 בצע׃ dishonest gain.

  28 H5030 ונביאיה And her prophets H2902 טחו have daubed H8602 להם תפל them with untempered H2374 חזים seeing H7723 שׁוא vanity, H7080 וקסמים and divining H3577 להם כזב lies H559 אמרים unto them, saying, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD, H3068 ויהוה when the LORD H3808 לא hath not H1696 דבר׃ spoken.

  29 H5971 עם The people H776 הארץ of the land H6231 עשׁקו have used H6233 עשׁק oppression, H1497 וגזלו and exercised H1498 גזל robbery, H6041 ועני the poor H34 ואביון and needy: H3238 הונו and have vexed H853 ואת   H1616 הגר the stranger H6231 עשׁקו yea, they have oppressed H3808 בלא wrongfully. H4941 משׁפט׃ wrongfully.

  30 H1245 ואבקשׁ And I sought H1992 מהם   H376 אישׁ for a man H1443 גדר them, that should make up H1447 גדר the hedge, H5975 ועמד and stand H6556 בפרץ in the gap H6440 לפני before H1157 בעד me for H776 הארץ the land, H1115 לבלתי that I should not H7843 שׁחתה destroy H3808 ולא none. H4672 מצאתי׃ it: but I found

  4 H1696 דברו They have spoken H1697 דברים words, H422 אלות swearing H7723 שׁוא falsely H3772 כרת in making H1285 ברית a covenant: H6524 ופרח springeth up H7219 כראשׁ as hemlock H4941 משׁפט thus judgment H5921 על in H8525 תלמי the furrows H7704 שׂדי׃ of the field.

  7 H2015 ההפכים Ye who turn H3939 ללענה to wormwood, H4941 משׁפט judgment H6666 וצדקה righteousness H776 לארץ in the earth, H3240 הניחו׃  

  12 H3588 כי For H3045 ידעתי I know H7227 רבים your manifold H6588 פשׁעיכם transgressions H6099 ועצמים and your mighty H2403 חטאתיכם sins: H6887 צררי they afflict H6662 צדיק the just, H3947 לקחי they take H3724 כפר a bribe, H34 ואביונים the poor H8179 בשׁער in the gate H5186 הטו׃ and they turn aside

  1 H1945 הוי Woe H2803 חשׁבי to them that devise H205 און iniquity, H6466 ופעלי and work H7451 רע evil H5921 על upon H4904 משׁכבותם their beds! H216 באור is light, H1242 הבקר when the morning H6213 יעשׂוה they practice H3588 כי it, because H3426 ישׁ it is H410 לאל in the power H3027 ידם׃ of their hand.

  2 H2530 וחמדו And they covet H7704 שׂדות fields, H1497 וגזלו and take by violence; H1004 ובתים and houses, H5375 ונשׂאו and take away: H6231 ועשׁקו so they oppress H1397 גבר a man H1004 וביתו and his house H376 ואישׁ even a man H5159 ונחלתו׃ and his heritage.

  1 H559 ואמר And I said, H8085 שׁמעו Hear, H4994 נא I pray you, H7218 ראשׁי O heads H3290 יעקב of Jacob, H7101 וקציני and ye princes H1004 בית of the house H3478 ישׂראל of Israel; H3808 הלוא not H3045 לכם לדעת for you to know H853 את   H4941 המשׁפט׃ judgment?

  2 H8130 שׂנאי Who hate H2896 טוב the good, H157 ואהבי and love H7451 רעה the evil; H1497 גזלי who pluck off H5785 עורם their skin H5921 מעליהם from off H7607 ושׁארם them, and their flesh H5921 מעל from off H6106 עצמותם׃ their bones;

  3 H834 ואשׁר Who H398 אכלו also eat H7607 שׁאר the flesh H5971 עמי of my people, H5785 ועורם their skin H5921 מעליהם from off H6584 הפשׁיטו and flay H853 ואת   H6106 עצמתיהם their bones, H6476 פצחו them; and they break H6566 ופרשׂו and chop them in pieces, H834 כאשׁר as H5518 בסיר for the pot, H1320 וכבשׂר and as flesh H8432 בתוך within H7037 קלחת׃ the caldron.
