3 H6828 For out of the north H5927 [H8804] there cometh H1471 a nation H7896 [H8799] against her, which shall make H776 her land H8047 desolate, H3427 [H8802] and none shall dwell H5110 [H8804] in it: they shall remove, H1980 [H8804] they shall depart, H120 both man H929 and beast.

36 H2719 A sword H907 is upon the liars; H2973 [H8738] and they shall become fools: H2719 a sword H1368 is upon her mighty men; H2865 [H8804] and they shall be dismayed.

37 H2719 A sword H5483 is upon their horses, H7393 and upon their chariots, H6153 and upon all the mixed people H8432 that are in the midst H802 of her; and they shall become as women: H2719 a sword H214 is upon her treasuries; H962 [H8795] and they shall be robbed.

38 H2721 A drought H4325 is upon her waters; H3001 [H8804] and they shall be dried up: H776 for it is the land H6456 of graven images, H1984 [H8704] and they are mad H367 over their idols.

40 H430 As God H4114 overthrew H5467 Sodom H6017 and Gomorrah H7934 and its neighbour H5002 [H8803] cities, saith H3068 the LORD; H376 so shall no man H3427 [H8799] abide H1121 there, neither shall any son H120 of man H1481 [H8799] dwell in it.

3 H1869 0 Against him that bendeth H1869 [H8802] let the archer H1869 [H8799] bend H7198 his bow, H5927 [H8691] and against him that lifteth himself up H5630 in his coat of mail: H2550 [H8799] and spare H970 ye not her young men; H2763 [H8685] seclude ye utterly H6635 all her host.

4 H2491 Thus the slain H5307 [H8804] shall fall H776 in the land H3778 of the Chaldeans, H1856 [H8794] and they that are thrust through H2351 in her streets.

5 H3478 For Israel H488 hath not been forsaken, H3063 nor Judah H430 by his God, H3068 by the LORD H6635 of hosts; H776 though their land H4390 [H8804] was filled H817 with guilt H6918 against the Holy One H3478 of Israel.

7 H894 Babylon H2091 hath been a golden H3563 cup H3068 in the LORD'S H3027 hand, H776 that made all the earth H7937 [H8764] drunk: H1471 the nations H8354 [H8804] have drunk H3196 of her wine; H1471 therefore the nations H1984 [H8704] are mad.

8 H894 Babylon H6597 is suddenly H5307 [H8804] fallen H7665 [H8735] and broken: H3213 [H8685] wail H3947 [H8798] for her; take H6875 balm H4341 for her pain, H7495 [H8735] it may be she may be healed.

9 H7495 [H8765] We would have healed H894 Babylon, H7495 [H8738] but she is not healed: H5800 [H8798] forsake H3212 [H8799] her, and let us go H376 every one H776 into his own land: H4941 for her judgment H5060 [H8804] reacheth H8064 to heaven, H5375 [H8738] and is lifted H7834 even to the skies.

13 H7931 H7931 [H8802] O thou that dwellest H7227 upon many H4325 waters, H7227 abundant H214 in treasures, H7093 thy end H935 [H8802] is come, H520 and the measure H1215 of thy covetousness.

28 H6942 [H8761] Prepare H1471 against her the nations H4428 with the kings H4074 of Media, H6346 their captains, H5461 and all their rulers, H776 and all the land H4475 of his dominion.

29 H776 And the land H7493 [H8799] shall tremble H2342 [H8799] and sorrow: H4284 for every purpose H3068 of the LORD H6965 [H8804] shall be raised H894 against Babylon, H7760 [H8800] to make H776 the land H894 of Babylon H8047 a desolation H3427 [H8802] without an inhabitant.

30 H1368 The mighty men H894 of Babylon H2308 [H8804] have stopped H3898 [H8736] fighting, H3427 [H8804] they have remained H4679 in their strong holds: H1369 their might H5405 [H8804] hath failed; H802 they became as women: H3341 [H8689] they have burned H4908 her dwellingplaces; H1280 her bars H7665 [H8738] are broken.

31 H7323 [H8801] One post H7323 [H8799] shall run H7125 [H8800] to meet H7323 [H8801] another, H5046 [H8688] and one messenger H7125 [H8800] to meet H5046 [H8688] another, H5046 [H8687] to show H4428 the king H894 of Babylon H5892 that his city H3920 [H8738] is taken H7097 at one end,

32 H4569 And that the fords H8610 [H8738] are seized, H98 and the reeds H8313 [H8804] they have burned H784 with fire, H582 and the men H4421 of war H926 [H8738] are terrified.

34 H5019 Nebuchadnezzar H4428 the king H894 of Babylon H398 [H8804] hath devoured H2000 [H8804] me, he hath crushed H3322 [H8689] me, he hath made H7385 me an empty H3627 vessel, H1104 [H8804] he hath swallowed me up H8577 like a dragon, H4390 [H8765] he hath filled H3770 his paunch H5730 with my delicacies, H1740 [H8689] he hath cast me out.

35 H2555 The violence H7607 done to me and to my flesh H894 be upon Babylon, H3427 [H8802] shall the inhabitant H6726 of Zion H559 [H8799] say; H1818 and my blood H3427 [H8802] upon the inhabitants H3778 of Chaldea, H3389 shall Jerusalem H559 [H8799] say.
