  4 H559 ויאמר said H53 אבשׁלום Absalom H4310 מי moreover, Oh that H7760 ישׂמני I were made H8199 שׁפט judge H776 בארץ in the land, H5921 ועלי unto H935 יבוא might come H3605 כל that every H376 אישׁ man H834 אשׁר which H1961 יהיה hath H7379 לו ריב any suit H4941 ומשׁפט or cause H6663 והצדקתיו׃ me, and I would do him justice!

  5 H1961 והיה And it was H7126 בקרב came nigh H376 אישׁ that when any man H7812 להשׁתחות to do him obeisance, H7971 לו ושׁלח he put forth H853 את   H3027 ידו his hand, H2388 והחזיק and took H5401 לו ונשׁק׃ him, and kissed

  6 H6213 ויעשׂ did H53 אבשׁלום Absalom H1697 כדבר manner H2088 הזה And on this H3605 לכל to all H3478 ישׂראל Israel H834 אשׁר that H935 יבאו came H4941 למשׁפט for judgment: H413 אל to H4428 המלך the king H1589 ויגנב stole H53 אבשׁלום so Absalom H853 את   H3820 לב the hearts H376 אנשׁי of the men H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.

  7 H1961 ויהי And it came to pass H7093 מקץ after H705 ארבעים forty H8141 שׁנה years, H559 ויאמר said H53 אבשׁלום that Absalom H413 אל unto H4428 המלך the king, H1980 אלכה let me go H4994 נא I pray thee, H7999 ואשׁלם and pay H853 את   H5088 נדרי my vow, H834 אשׁר which H5087 נדרתי I have vowed H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD, H2275 בחברון׃ in Hebron.

  8 H3588 כי For H5088 נדר a vow H5087 נדר vowed H5650 עבדך thy servant H3427 בשׁבתי while I abode H1650 בגשׁור at Geshur H758 בארם in Syria, H559 לאמר saying, H518 אם If H7725 ישׁיב shall bring me again H7725 ישׁיבני   H3068 יהוה the LORD H3389 ירושׁלם indeed to Jerusalem, H5647 ועבדתי then I will serve H853 את   H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

  9 H559 ויאמר said H4428 לו המלך And the king H1980 לך unto him, Go H7965 בשׁלום in peace. H6965 ויקם So he arose, H1980 וילך and went H2275 חברונה׃ to Hebron.

  10 H7971 וישׁלח sent H53 אבשׁלום But Absalom H7270 מרגלים spies H3605 בכל throughout all H7626 שׁבטי the tribes H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H559 לאמר saying, H8085 כשׁמעכם As soon as ye hear H853 את   H6963 קול the sound H7782 השׁפר of the trumpet, H559 ואמרתם then ye shall say, H4427 מלך reigneth H53 אבשׁלום Absalom H2275 בחברון׃ in Hebron.

  11 H854 ואת And with H53 אבשׁלום Absalom H1980 הלכו went H3967 מאתים two hundred H376 אישׁ men H3389 מירושׁלם   H7121 קראים called; H1980 והלכים and they went H8537 לתמם in their simplicity, H3808 ולא not H3045 ידעו and they knew H3605 כל any H1697 דבר׃ thing.

  12 H7971 וישׁלח sent H53 אבשׁלום And Absalom H853 את   H302 אחיתפל for Ahithophel H1526 הגילני the Gilonite, H3289 יועץ counselor, H1732 דוד David's H5892 מעירו from his city, H1542 מגלה   H2076 בזבחו while he offered H853 את   H2077 הזבחים sacrifices.   13 H935 ויבא And there came H5046 המגיד a messenger H413 אל to H1732 דוד David, H559 לאמר saying, H1961 היה are H3820 לב The hearts H376 אישׁ of the men H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H310 אחרי after H53 אבשׁלום׃ Absalom.

  15 H559 ויאמרו said H5650 עבדי servants H4428 המלך And the king's H413 אל unto H4428 המלך the king, H3605 ככל whatsoever H834 אשׁר whatsoever H977 יבחר shall appoint. H113 אדני my lord H4428 המלך the king H2009 הנה Behold, H5650 עבדיך׃ thy servants

  16 H3318 ויצא went forth, H4428 המלך And the king H3605 וכל and all H1004 ביתו his household H7272 ברגליו after H5800 ויעזב left H4428 המלך him. And the king H853 את   H6235 עשׂר ten H802 נשׁים women, H6370 פלגשׁים concubines, H8104 לשׁמר to keep H1004 הבית׃ the house.

  17 H3318 ויצא went forth, H4428 המלך And the king H3605 וכל and all H5971 העם the people H7272 ברגליו after H5975 ויעמדו him, and tarried H1023 בית המרחק׃

  4 H7264 רגזו Stand in awe, H408 ואל not: H2398 תחטאו and sin H559 אמרו commune H3824 בלבבכם with your own heart H5921 על upon H4904 משׁכבכם your bed, H1826 ודמו and be still. H5542 סלה׃ Selah.

  7 H3605 כל All H7200 ראי they that see H3932 ילעגו me laugh H6362 לי יפטירו me to scorn: they shoot out H8193 בשׂפה the lip, H5128 יניעו they shake H7218 ראשׁ׃ the head,

  2 H3068 יהוה The LORD H5553 סלעי my rock, H4686 ומצודתי and my fortress, H6403 ומפלטי and my deliverer; H410 אלי my God, H6697 צורי my strength, H2620 אחסה in whom I will trust; H4043 בו מגני my buckler, H7161 וקרן and the horn H3468 ישׁעי of my salvation, H4869 משׂגבי׃ my high tower.

  4 H982 בך בטחו trusted H1 אבתינו Our fathers H982 בטחו in thee: they trusted, H6403 ותפלטמו׃ and thou didst deliver

  5 H413 אליך unto H2199 זעקו They cried H4422 ונמלטו thee, and were delivered: H982 בך בטחו they trusted H3808 ולא in thee, and were not H954 בושׁו׃ confounded.

  12 H7121 וקראתם Then shall ye call upon H853 אתי   H1980 והלכתם me, and ye shall go H6419 והתפללתם and pray H413 אלי unto H8085 ושׁמעתי me, and I will hearken H413 אליכם׃ unto

  39 H8668 ותשׁועת But the salvation H6662 צדיקים of the righteous H3068 מיהוה   H4581 מעוזם their strength H6256 בעת in the time H6869 צרה׃ of trouble.

  40 H5826 ויעזרם shall help H3068 יהוה And the LORD H6403 ויפלטם them, and deliver H6403 יפלטם them: he shall deliver H7563 מרשׁעים them from the wicked, H3467 ויושׁיעם and save H3588 כי them, because H2620 חסו׃ they trust

  17 H1961 יהי shall endure H8034 שׁמו His name H5769 לעולם forever: H6440 לפני as long H8121 שׁמשׁ as the sun: H5125 ינין shall be continued H8034 שׁמו his name H1288 ויתברכו and shall be blessed H3605 בו כל in him: all H1471 גוים nations H833 יאשׁרוהו׃ shall call him blessed.
