KJV_Strongs(i)
H3068 And the LORD H559 spake [H8799]   H4872 unto Moses H175 and Aaron H776 in the land H4714 of Egypt H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
H2320 This month H7218 shall be unto you the beginning H2320 of months H7223 : it shall be the first H2320 month H8141 of the year to you.
H1696 Speak [H8761]   H5712 ye unto all the congregation H3478 of Israel H559 , saying [H8800]   H6218 , In the tenth H2320 day of this month H3947 they shall take [H8799]   H376 to them every man H7716 a lamb H1004 , according to the house H1 of their fathers H7716 , a lamb H1004 for an house:
H1004 And if the household H1961 be [H8800]   H4591 too little [H8799]   H7716 for the lamb H7934 , let him and his neighbour H7138 next H1004 unto his house H3947 take [H8804]   H4373 it according to the number H5315 of the souls H376 ; every man H6310 according H400 to his eating H3699 shall make your count [H8799]   H7716 for the lamb.
H7716 Your lamb H8549 shall be without blemish H2145 , a male H1121 of the first H8141 year H3947 : ye shall take [H8799]   H3532 it out from the sheep H5795 , or from the goats:
H4931 And ye shall keep H702 it up until the fourteenth H6240   H3117 day H2320 of the same month H3605 : and the whole H6951 assembly H5712 of the congregation H3478 of Israel H7819 shall kill [H8804]   H996 it in H6153 the evening.
H3947 And they shall take [H8804]   H1818 of the blood H5414 , and strike [H8804]   H8147 it on the two H4201 side posts H4947 and on the upper door post H1004 of the houses H398 , wherein they shall eat [H8799]   it.
H398 And they shall eat [H8804]   H1320 the flesh H3915 in that night H6748 , roast H784 with fire H4682 , and unleavened bread H4844 ; and with bitter H398 herbs they shall eat [H8799]   it.
H398 Eat [H8799]   H4995 not of it raw H1310 , nor sodden [H8794]   H1311   H4325 at all with water H6748 , but roast H784 with fire H7218 ; his head H3767 with his legs H7130 , and with the purtenance thereof.
H3498 And ye shall let nothing of it remain [H8686]   H1242 until the morning H3498 ; and that which remaineth [H8737]   H1242 of it until the morning H8313 ye shall burn [H8799]   H784 with fire.
H3602 And thus H398 shall ye eat [H8799]   H4975 it; with your loins H2296 girded [H8803]   H5275 , your shoes H7272 on your feet H4731 , and your staff H3027 in your hand H398 ; and ye shall eat [H8804]   H2649 it in haste H3068 : it is the LORD'S H6453 passover.
H5674 For I will pass [H8804]   H776 through the land H4714 of Egypt H3915 this night H5221 , and will smite [H8689]   H1060 all the firstborn H776 in the land H4714 of Egypt H120 , both man H929 and beast H430 ; and against all the gods H4714 of Egypt H6213 I will execute [H8799]   H8201 judgment H3068 : I am the LORD.
H1818 And the blood H226 shall be to you for a token H1004 upon the houses H7200 where ye are : and when I see [H8804]   H1818 the blood H6452 , I will pass [H8804]   H5063 over you, and the plague H4889 shall not be upon you to destroy H5221 you, when I smite [H8687]   H776 the land H4714 of Egypt.
H3117 And this day H2146 shall be unto you for a memorial H2287 ; and ye shall keep [H8804]   H2282 it a feast H3068 to the LORD H1755 throughout your generations H2287 ; ye shall keep it a feast [H8799]   H2708 by an ordinance H5769 for ever.
H7651 Seven H3117 days H398 shall ye eat [H8799]   H4682 unleavened bread H389 ; even H7223 the first H3117 day H7673 ye shall put away [H8686]   H7603 leaven H1004 out of your houses H398 : for whosoever eateth [H8802]   H2557 leavened bread H7223 from the first H3117 day H7637 until the seventh H3117 day H5315 , that soul H3772 shall be cut [H8738]   H3478 off from Israel.
H7223 And in the first H3117 day H6944 there shall be an holy H4744 convocation H7637 , and in the seventh H3117 day H6944 there shall be an holy H4744 convocation H4399 to you; no manner of work H6213 shall be done [H8735]   H389 in them, save H5315 that which every man H398 must eat [H8735]   H6213 , that only may be done [H8735]   of you.
H8104 And ye shall observe [H8804]   H4682 the feast of unleavened bread H6106 ; for in this selfsame H3117 day H3318 have I brought [H8689]   H6635 your armies H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt H8104 : therefore shall ye observe [H8804]   H3117 this day H1755 in your generations H2708 by an ordinance H5769 for ever.
H7223 In the first H6240 month, on the fourteenth H702   H3117 day H2320 of the month H6153 at even H398 , ye shall eat [H8799]   H4682 unleavened bread H259 , until the one H6242 and twentieth H3117 day H2320 of the month H6153 at even.
H7651 Seven H3117 days H7603 shall there be no leaven H4672 found [H8735]   H1004 in your houses H398 : for whosoever eateth [H8802]   H2556 that which is leavened [H8688]   H5315 , even that soul H3772 shall be cut off [H8738]   H5712 from the congregation H3478 of Israel H1616 , whether he be a stranger H249 , or born H776 in the land.
H398 Ye shall eat [H8799]   H2556 nothing leavened [H8688]   H4186 ; in all your habitations H398 shall ye eat [H8799]   H4682 unleavened bread.
H4872 Then Moses H7121 called [H8799]   H2205 for all the elders H3478 of Israel H559 , and said [H8799]   H4900 unto them, Draw out [H8798]   H3947 and take [H8798]   H6629 you a lamb H4940 according to your families H7819 , and kill [H8798]   H6453 the passover.
H3947 And ye shall take [H8804]   H92 a bunch H231 of hyssop H2881 , and dip [H8804]   H1818 it in the blood H5592 that is in the bason H5060 , and strike [H8689]   H4947 the lintel H8147 and the two H4201 side posts H1818 with the blood H5592 that is in the bason H376 ; and none H3318 of you shall go out [H8799]   H6607 at the door H1004 of his house H1242 until the morning.
H3068 For the LORD H5674 will pass through [H8804]   H5062 to smite [H8800]   H4714 the Egyptians H7200 ; and when he seeth [H8804]   H1818 the blood H4947 upon the lintel H8147 , and on the two H4201 side posts H3068 , the LORD H6452 will pass over [H8804]   H6607 the door H5414 , and will not suffer [H8799]   H7843 the destroyer [H8688]   H935 to come [H8800]   H1004 in unto your houses H5062 to smite [H8800]   you .
H8104 And ye shall observe [H8804]   H1697 this thing H2706 for an ordinance H1121 to thee and to thy sons H5704 for H5769 ever.
H935 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come [H8799]   H776 to the land H3068 which the LORD H5414 will give [H8799]   H1696 you, according as he hath promised [H8765]   H8104 , that ye shall keep [H8804]   H5656 this service.
H1121 And it shall come to pass, when your children H559 shall say [H8799]   H5656 unto you, What mean ye by this service?
H559 That ye shall say [H8804]   H2077 , It is the sacrifice H3068 of the LORD'S H6453 passover H6452 , who passed [H8804]   H1004 over the houses H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H4714 in Egypt H5062 , when he smote [H8800]   H4714 the Egyptians H5337 , and delivered [H8689]   H1004 our houses H5971 . And the people H6915 bowed the head [H8799]   H7812 and worshipped [H8691]  .
H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H3212 went away [H8799]   H6213 , and did [H8799]   H3068 as the LORD H6680 had commanded [H8765]   H4872 Moses H175 and Aaron H6213 , so did [H8804]   they.
H2677 And it came to pass, that at midnight H3915   H3068 the LORD H5221 smote [H8689]   H1060 all the firstborn H776 in the land H4714 of Egypt H1060 , from the firstborn H6547 of Pharaoh H3427 that sat [H8802]   H3678 on his throne H1060 unto the firstborn H7628 of the captive H1004 that was in the dungeon H953   H1060 ; and all the firstborn H929 of cattle.
H6547 And Pharaoh H6965 rose up [H8799]   H3915 in the night H5650 , he, and all his servants H4714 , and all the Egyptians H1419 ; and there was a great H6818 cry H4714 in Egypt H1004 ; for there was not a house H4191 where there was not one dead [H8801]  .
H7121 And he called [H8799]   H4872 for Moses H175 and Aaron H3915 by night H559 , and said [H8799]   H6965 , Rise up [H8798]   H3318 , and get you forth [H8798]   H8432 from among H5971 my people H1121 , both ye and the children H3478 of Israel H3212 ; and go [H8798]   H5647 , serve [H8798]   H3068 the LORD H1696 , as ye have said [H8763]  .
H3947 Also take [H8798]   H6629 your flocks H1241 and your herds H1696 , as ye have said [H8765]   H3212 , and be gone [H8798]   H1288 ; and bless [H8765]   me also.
H4714 And the Egyptians H2388 were urgent [H8799]   H5971 upon the people H7971 , that they might send [H8763]   H776 them out of the land H4116 in haste [H8763]   H559 ; for they said [H8804]   H4191 , We be all dead [H8801]   men .
H5971 And the people H5375 took [H8799]   H1217 their dough H2556 before it was leavened [H8799]   H4863 , their kneadingtroughs H6887 being bound up [H8803]   H8071 in their clothes H7926 upon their shoulders.
H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H6213 did [H8804]   H1697 according to the word H4872 of Moses H7592 ; and they borrowed [H8799]   H4714 of the Egyptians H3627 jewels H3701 of silver H3627 , and jewels H2091 of gold H8071 , and raiment:
H3068 And the LORD H5414 gave [H8804]   H5971 the people H2580 favour H5869 in the sight H4714 of the Egyptians H7592 , so that they lent [H8686]   H5337 unto them such things as they required . And they spoiled [H8762]   H4714 the Egyptians.
H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H5265 journeyed [H8799]   H7486 from Rameses H5523 to Succoth H8337 , about six H3967 hundred H505 thousand H7273 on foot H1397 that were men H905 , beside H2945 children.
H6154 And a mixed H7227 multitude H5927 went up [H8804]   H6629 also with them; and flocks H1241 , and herds H3966 , even very H3515 much H4735 cattle.
H644 And they baked [H8799]   H4682 unleavened H5692 cakes H1217 of the dough H3318 which they brought forth [H8689]   H4714 out of Egypt H2556 , for it was not leavened [H8804]   H1644 ; because they were thrust out [H8795]   H4714 of Egypt H3201 , and could [H8804]   H4102 not tarry [H8699]   H6213 , neither had they prepared [H8804]   H6720 for themselves any victual.
H4186 Now the sojourning H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H3427 , who dwelt [H8804]   H4714 in Egypt H702 , was four H3967 hundred H8141   H7970 and thirty H8141 years.
H7093 And it came to pass at the end H702 of the four H3967 hundred H8141   H7970 and thirty H8141 years H6106 , even the selfsame H3117 day H6635 it came to pass, that all the hosts H3068 of the LORD H3318 went out [H8804]   H776 from the land H4714 of Egypt.
H3915 It is a night H8107 to be much observed H3068 unto the LORD H3318 for bringing [H8687]   H776 them out from the land H4714 of Egypt H3915 : this is that night H3068 of the LORD H8107 to be observed H1121 of all the children H3478 of Israel H1755 in their generations.
H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H4872 unto Moses H175 and Aaron H2708 , This is the ordinance H6453 of the passover H1121 H5236 : There shall no stranger H398 eat [H8799]   thereof:
H376 But every man's H5650 servant H4736 that is bought H3701 for money H4135 , when thou hast circumcised [H8804]   H398 him, then shall he eat [H8799]   thereof.
H8453 A foreigner H7916 and an hired servant H398 shall not eat [H8799]   thereof.
H259 In one H1004 house H398 shall it be eaten [H8735]   H3318 ; thou shalt not carry forth [H8686]   H1320 ought of the flesh H2351 abroad H1004 out of the house H7665 ; neither shall ye break [H8799]   H6106 a bone thereof.
H5712 All the congregation H3478 of Israel H6213 shall keep [H8799]   it.
H1616 And when a stranger H1481 shall sojourn [H8799]   H6213 with thee, and will keep [H8804]   H6453 the passover H3068 to the LORD H2145 , let all his males H4135 be circumcised [H8736]   H7126 , and then let him come near [H8799]   H6213 and keep [H8800]   H249 it; and he shall be as one that is born H776 in the land H6189 : for no uncircumcised person H398 shall eat [H8799]   thereof.
H259 One H8451 law H249 shall be to him that is homeborn H1616 , and unto the stranger H1481 that sojourneth [H8802]   H8432 among you.
H6213 Thus did [H8799]   H1121 all the children H3478 of Israel H3068 ; as the LORD H6680 commanded [H8765]   H4872 Moses H175 and Aaron H6213 , so did [H8804]   they.
H6106 And it came to pass the selfsame H3117 day H3068 , that the LORD H3318 did bring [H8689]   H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt H6635 by their armies.
ERV(i) 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. 3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth [day] of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for an household: 4 and if the household be too little for a lamb, then shall he and his neighbour next unto his house take one according to the number of the souls; according to every man’s eating ye shall make your count for the lamb. 5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats: 6 and ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at even. 7 And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side posts and on the lintel, upon the houses wherein they shall eat it. 8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; with bitter herbs they shall eat it. 9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; its head with its legs and with the inwards thereof. 10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. 11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand: and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD’S passover, 12 For I will go through the land of Egypt in that night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the LORD. 13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and there shall no plague be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. 14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial, and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD: throughout your generations ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever. 15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel. 16 And in the first day there shall be to you an holy convocation, and in the seventh day an holy convocation; no manner of work shall be done in them, save that which every man must eat, that only may be done of you. 17 And ye shall observe the [feast of] unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day throughout your generations by an ordinance for ever. 18 In the first [month], on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. 19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a sojourner, or one that is born in the land. 20 Ye shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall ye eat unleavened bread. 21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, Draw out, and take you lambs according to your families, and kill the passover. 22 And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the bason, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the bason; and none of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning. 23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you. 24 And ye shall observe this thing for an ordinance to thee and to thy sons for ever. 25 And it shall come to pass, when ye be come to the land which the LORD will give you, according as he hath promised, that ye shall keep this service. 26 And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? 27 that ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD’S passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. 28 And the children of Israel went and did so; as the LORD had commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they. 29 And it came to pass at midnight, that the LORD smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sat on his throne unto the firstborn of the captive that was in the dungeon; and all the firstborn of cattle. 30 And Pharaoh rose up in the night, he, and all his servants, and all the Egyptians; and there was a great cry in Egypt; for there was not a house where there was not one dead. 31 And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, get you forth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the LORD, as ye have said. 32 Take both your flocks and your herds, as ye have said, and be gone; and bless me also. 33 And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, to send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men. 34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders. 35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they asked of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: 36 and the LORD gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they let them have what they asked. And they spoiled the Egyptians. 37 And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. 38 And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle. 39 And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual. 40 Now the sojourning of the children of Israel, which they sojourned in Egypt, was four hundred and thirty years. 41 And it came to pass at the end of four hundred and thirty years, even the selfsame day it came to pass, that all the hosts of the LORD went out from the land of Egypt. 42 It is a night to be much observed unto the LORD for bringing them out from the land of Egypt: this is that night of the LORD, to be much observed of all the children of Israel throughout their generations. 43 And the LORD said unto Moses and Aaron, This is the ordinance of the passover: there shall no alien eat thereof: 44 but every man’s servant that is bought for money, when thou hast circumcised him, then shall he eat thereof. 45 A sojourner and an hired servant shall not eat thereof. 46 In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth aught of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall ye break a bone thereof. 47 All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. 48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: but no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. 49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you. 50 Thus did all the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses and Aaron, so did they. 51 And it came to pass the selfsame day, that the LORD did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their hosts.
