  19 H8085 [H8800] And it should come to pass, when he heareth H1697 the words H423 of this curse, H1288 [H8694] that he should bless H3824 himself in his heart, H559 [H8800] saying, H7965 I shall have peace, H3588 though H3212 [H8799] I walk H8307 in the imagination H3820 of my heart, H5595 [H8800] to add H7302 drunkenness H6771 to thirst:
  20 H3068 The LORD H14 [H8799] will H5545 [H8800] not forgive H639 him, but then the anger H3068 of the LORD H7068 and his jealousy H6225 [H8799] shall smoke H376 against that man, H423 and all the curses H3789 [H8803] that are written H5612 in this book H7257 [H8804] shall lie H3068 upon him, and the LORD H4229 [H8804] shall blot out H8034 his name H8064 from under heaven.
  21 H3068 And the LORD H914 [H8689] shall single him out H7451 for evil H7626 from all the tribes H3478 of Israel, H423 according to all the curses H1285 of the covenant H3789 [H8803] that are written H5612 in this book H8451 of the law:
  22 H1755 So that the generation H314 to come H1121 of your sons H6965 [H8799] that shall arise H310 after H5237 you, and the foreigner H935 [H8799] that shall come H7350 from a distant H776 land, H559 [H8804] shall say, H7200 [H8804] when they see H4347 the plagues H776 of that land, H8463 and the sicknesses H3068 which the LORD H2470 [H8765] hath laid upon it;

Geneva(i) 19 So that when he heareth the words of this curse, he blesse him selfe in his heart, saying, I shall haue peace, although I walke according to the stubburnes of mine owne heart, thus adding drunkennesse to thirst. 20 The Lord will not be mercifull vnto him, but then the wrath of the Lord and his ielousie shall smoke against that man, and euery curse that is written in this booke, shall light vpon him, and the Lord shall put out his name from vnder heauen, 21 And the Lord shall separate him vnto euil out of all the tribes of Israel, according vnto all the curses of the couenant, that is written in the booke of this Lawe. 22 So that the generatio to come, euen your children, that shall rise vp after you, and the stranger, that shall come from a farre lande, shall say, when they shall see the plagues of this lande, and the diseases thereof, wherewith the Lord shall smite it: 23 (For all that land shall burne with brimstone and salt: it shall not be sowen, nor bring forth, nor any grasse shall growe therein, like as in the ouerthrowing of Sodom, and Gomorah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the Lord ouerthrewe in his wrath and in his anger) 24 Then shall all nations say, Wherefore hath the Lord done thus vnto this lande? how fierce is this great wrath? 25 And they shall answere, Because they haue forsaken the couenant of the Lord God of their fathers, which he had made with them, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, 26 And went and serued other gods and worshipped them: euen gods which they knewe not, and which had giuen them nothing, 27 Therefore the wrath of the Lord waxed hot against this land, to bring vpon it euery curse that is written in this booke. 28 And ye Lord hath rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and hath cast them into another land, as appeareth this day.
Bishops(i) 19 So that when he heareth the wordes of this othe, he blesse hym selfe in his heart, saying: I shall haue peace, I wyll walke in the meanyng of myne owne heart: to put the drunken to the thirstie 20 And so the Lorde wyll not consent to be mercifull vnto hym, but then the wrath of the Lorde and his gelousie shall smoke agaynst that man: and all the curses that are written in this booke shall lyght vpon hym, and the Lorde shal do out his name from vnder heaue 21 And the Lorde shall seperate hym vnto euyll, out of all the tribes of Israel, accordyng vnto all the curses of the couenaunt that are written in the booke of this lawe 22 So that the generatio to come of your children that shall ryse vp after you, and the straunger that shall come from a farre lande, shall say, when they see the plagues of that lande, and the diseases wherwith the Lorde hath smitten it 23 Howe all the lande is burnt vp with brimstone and salt, and that it is neither sowen, nor beareth, nor any grasse groweth therin, lyke as in the place of ye ouerthrowyng of Sodome, Gomor, Adama, and Zeboim, which the Lorde ouerthrewe in his wrath and anger 24 Euen then shal all nations say: Wherfore hath the Lord done on this fashion vnto this lande? O howe fierse is this great wrath 25 And men shall say: Because they haue forsaken the couenaunt of the Lorde God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the lande of Egypt 26 For they went and serued straunge gods, and worshipped them, gods which they knewe not, and which had geuen them nothyng 27 And the wrath of the Lorde waxed hot agaynst this lande, to bryng vpon it all the curses that are written in this booke 28 And the Lorde cast them out of their lande in anger, wrath, and great indignation, and cast them into a straunge lande, as this day beareth witnesse

Rotherham(i) 19 and so it come to pass, while he is hearing the words of this oath, that he will bless himself in his heart––saying, Prosperity, shall I have, although, in the stubbornness of my heart, I go on,––so that the drunkenness addeth to the thirst: 20 Yahweh will not be willing to forgive him, but, then, will the anger of Yahweh and his jealousy smoke against that man, and all the oath that is written in this scroll, shall settle down upon him,––and Yahweh wipe out his name from under the heavens; 21 and Yahweh single him out for calamity, out of all the tribes of Israel,––according to all the oaths of the covenant that is written in this scroll of the law. 22 So that the generation coming after––your sons who shall rise up after you, and the foreigner who shall come in from a far–off land, will say––when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses thereof wherewith Yahweh hath made it sick: 23 brimstone and salt, burning up all the land thereof, it shall not be sown, neither shall it shoot forth, neither shall there come up thereon any herbage,––like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which Yahweh overthrow in his anger and in his wrath: 24 yea all the nations will say, For what cause, hath Yahweh done, thus, unto this land? what meaneth this great heat of anger? 25 Then will men say, Because they forsook the covenant of Yahweh, the God of their fathers,––which he solemnised with them, when he brought them forth, out of the land of Egypt; 26 and went and served other gods, and bowed down to them,––gods which they had not known, and in which he had given them no share: 27 therefore did the anger of Yahweh kindle upon that land,––to bring in upon it all the curse that is written in this scroll; 28 and therefore hath Yahweh, rooted them out, from off their own soil, in anger and in wrath, and in great indignation,––and cast them into another land, as at this day.
CLV(i) 19 And it will come to be when he hears the words of this imprecation that he will bless himself in his heart, saying:I shall come to have peace, though I am going in the obduracy of my own heart, seeing that the satiated may be swept up with the thirsty. 20 Yahweh shall not be willing to pardon him, because then Yahweh's anger and His jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the imprecation that is written in this scroll will lie on him. Yahweh will wipe out his name from under the heavens;" 21 and Yahweh will separate him from all the tribes of Israel for the evil visitation according to all the imprecations of the covenant that is written in this scroll of the law. 22 The latter generation of your sons who shall rise after you and the foreigner who shall come from a country afar will ask, when they see the smitings of that land of yours and its ailments with which Yahweh has made it ill-. 23 its whole land a burnt waste of sulfur and salt; it shall not be sown, neither shall it sprout, nor shall any herbage ascend in it, like the overturning of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which Yahweh overturned in His anger and in His fury-. 24 hence all the nations will ask:Why did Yahweh do thus to this land? Why the heat of this great anger? 25 Then some will answer:Because they forsook the covenant of Yahweh Elohim of their fathers, that He had contracted with them when He brought them forth from the country of Egypt, 26 for they went off and served other elohim and bowed themselves down to them, elohim whom they had neither known, nor had He apportioned for them. 27 Hence the anger of Yahweh grew hot against that land so as to bring upon it all the malediction that is written in this scroll. 28 So Yahweh plucked them up off their ground in anger, in fury and in great wrath, and He flung them into another country as it is this day.
BBE(i) 19 If such a man, hearing the words of this oath, takes comfort in the thought that he will have peace even if he goes on in the pride of his heart, taking whatever chance may give him: 20 The Lord will have no mercy on him, but the wrath of the Lord will be burning against that man, and all the curses recorded in this book will be waiting for him, and the Lord will take away his name completely from the earth. 21 He will be marked out by the Lord, from all the tribes of Israel, for an evil fate, in keeping with all the curses of the agreement recorded in this book of the law. 22 And future generations, your children coming after you, and travellers from far countries, will say, when they see the punishments of that land and the diseases which the Lord has sent on it; 23 And that all the land is a salt and smoking waste, not planted or giving fruit or clothed with grass, but wasted like Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, on which the Lord sent destruction in the heat of his wrath: 24 Truly all the nations will say, Why has the Lord done so to this land? what is the reason for this great and burning wrath? 25 Then men will say, Because they gave up the agreement of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he took them out of the land of Egypt: 26 And they went after other gods and gave them worship, gods who were strange to them, and whom he had not given them: 27 And so the wrath of the Lord was moved against this land, to send on it all the curse recorded in this book: 28 Rooting them out of their land, in the heat of his wrath and passion, and driving them out into another land, as at this day.

It shall be like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which Jehovah overthrew in His anger, and in His wrath, 24 even all nations shall say, Why has Jehovah done this to this land? And Jehovah shall blot out his name from under the heavens. 21 And Jehovah shall set him apart to evil, out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant that are written in this book of the law; 22 so that the generation to come, your sons who rise after you, and the foreigner who comes in from a distant land, shall say when they see the plagues of that land, and its sicknesses which Jehovah shall send into it, 23 The whole land shall be burned with brimstone and salt; it shall not be sown, nor shall it sprout; nor shall there be any herb in it.

Plager og de Sygdomme, med hvilke HERREN har hjemsøgt det, 23 Svovl og Salt, Brand over hele Landet, saa at det ikke kan besaas, ej heller give Grøde, og ingen Urt kan opvokse derudi, ligesom Sodoma og Gomorra, Adma og Zeboim bleve omkastede, hvilke HERREN omkastede i sin Vrede og i sin Hastighed; 24 ja, da skulle alle Folk sige: Hvorfor har HERREN gjort saaledes imod dette Land? hvad er dette for en stor brændende Vrede? 25 Da skal man sige: Fordi de have forladt HERRENS, deres Fædres Guds, Pagt, som han gjorde med dem, der han udførte dem af Ægyptens Land; 26 og de gik bort og tjente andre Guder og tilbade dem, de Guder, som de ikke kendte, og som han ikke havde tildelt dem: 27 Derfor er HERRENS Vrede optændt imod dette, Land, saa at han har ført al den Forbandelse over det, som er skrevet i denne Bog, 28 og HERREN har oprykket dem af deres Land i Vrede og i Hastighed og i stor Fortørnelse og bortkastet dem til et andet Land, som det ses paa denne Dag;

PBG(i) 19 Bo kto by słuchał słów przeklęstwa tego, a błogosławiłby sobie w sercu swem, mówiąc: Pokój mi będzie, chociaż według zdania serca mego chodzić będę, przydawając pijaną do upragnionej.
