  6 H85 And Abraham H559 [H8799] said H8104 [H8734] to him, Beware H7725 0 that thou bring H6435 not H1121 my son H7725 [H8686] there again.
  7 H3068 The LORD H430 God H8064 of heaven, H3947 [H8804] who took me H1 from my father's H1004 house, H776 and from the land H4138 of my kindred, H1696 [H8765] and who spoke H7650 [H8738] to me, and who swore H559 [H8800] to me, saying, H2233 To thy seed H5414 [H8799] will I give H776 this land; H7971 [H8799] he shall send H4397 his messenger H6440 before thee, H3947 [H8804] and thou shalt take H802 a wife H1121 for my son from there.

  9 H5650 And the servant H7760 [H8799] put H3027 his hand H3409 under the thigh H85 of Abraham H113 his master, H7650 [H8735] and swore H5921 to him concerning H2088 that H1697 matter.

And Jehovah had blessed Abraham in all things. 2 And Abraham said to his servant, the elder of his house, who ruled over all that he had, I beseech you, put your hand under my thigh. 3 And I will make you swear by Jehovah, the God of heaven and the God of the earth, that you will not take a wife for my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell. 4 But you will go to my country and to my kindred and take a wife for my son Isaac.
5 And the servant said to him, Perhaps the woman will not be willing to follow me to this land. Must I bring your son again to the land from where you came? 6 And Abraham said to him, You beware that you not bring my son there again. 7 Jehovah, the God of heaven, who took me from my father's house and from the land of my nativity and who spoke to me and who swore to me, saying, To your seed I will give this land. He will send his messenger before you and you will take a wife for my son from there.
8 And if the woman is not willing to follow you, then you will be clear from this my oath. Only you will not bring my son there again. 9 And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master and swore to him concerning this matter.
10 And the servant took ten camels, of the camels of his master and departed, having all good things of his master's in his hand. And he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor.

Croatian(i) 1 Abraham bijaše već ostario, zašao u godine, Jahve je Abrahama blagoslovio u svemu. 2 Abraham prozbori svome najstarijem sluzi u kući, pod čijom je upravom bilo sve njegovo: "Stavi svoju ruku pod moje stegno 3 da te zakunem Jahvom, Bogom neba i Bogom zemlje, da mome sinu nećeš nabaviti za ženu ni jednu od kćeri Kanaanaca, među kojima boravim, 4 nego ćeš otići u moj rodni kraj i dobaviti ženu mom sinu Izaku." 5 A sluga mu reče: "A što ako žena ne htjedne za mnom ići u ovu zemlju? Viešpats viskuo jį laimino. 2 Abraomas tarė savo namų vyriausiajam tarnui, kuris prižiūrėjo visa, kas jam priklausė: “Dėk savo ranką po mano šlaunimi, 3 kad prisaikdinčiau tave Viešpaties, žemės ir dangaus Dievo vardu, kad neimsi žmonos mano sūnui iš kanaaniečių dukterų, tarp kurių gyvenu, 4 bet vyksi į mano kraštą, pas mano gimines, ir ten paimsi žmoną mano sūnui Izaokui”. 5 Tarnas jam atsakė: “O gal ta moteris nenorės eiti su manimi į šitą kraštą?
