  2 G3778 (And this G582 taxing G1096 0 was G4413 first G1096 [G5633] made G2958 when Cyrenius G2230 [G5723] was governor G4947 of Syria.)
  3 G2532 And G3956 all G4198 [G5711] went G583 [G5745] to be taxed, G1538 every one G1519 into G2398 his own G4172 city.
  4 G1161 And G2501 Joseph G2532 also G305 [G5627] went up G575 from G1056 Galilee, G1537 out of G4172 the city G3478 of Nazareth, G1519 into G2449 Judaea, G1519 to G4172 the city G1138 of David, G3748 which G2564 [G5743] is called G965 Bethlehem; G1223 (because G846 he G1511 [G5750] was G1537 of G3624 the house G2532 and G3965 lineage G1138 of David:)
  5 G583 [G5670] To be taxed G4862 with G3137 Mary G846 his G3423 [G5772] espoused G1135 wife, G5607 [G5752] being G1471 pregnant.
  6 G1161 And G1096 [G5633] so it was, G1722 that, while G846 they G1511 [G5750] were G1563 there, G2250 the days G4130 [G5681] were accomplished G846 that she G5088 [G5629] should be delivered.
  7 G2532 And G5088 [G5627] she brought forth G846 her G4416 firstborn G5207 son, G2532 and G4683 0 wrapped G846 him G4683 [G5656] in swaddling clothes, G2532 and G347 [G5656] laid G846 him G1722 in G5336 a manger; G1360 because G2258 [G5713] there was G3756 no G5117 room G846 for them G1722 in G2646 the guestchamber.
  8 G2532 And G2258 [G5713] there were G1722 in G3588 the G846 same G5561 region G4166 shepherds G63 [G5723] abiding in the field, G2532 and G5442 [G5723] keeping G5438 watch G1909 over G846 their G4167 flock G3571 by night.
  9 G2532 And, G2400 [G5628] lo, G32 the messenger G2962 of the Lord G2186 [G5627] stood by G846 them, G2532 and G1391 the glory G2962 of the Lord G4034 [G5656] shone around G846 them: G2532 and G5399 [G5675] they feared G3173 a great G5401 fear.
  10 G2532 And G32 the messenger G2036 [G5627] said G846 to them, G5399 [G5737] Fear G3361 not: G1063 for, G2400 [G5628] behold, G2097 0 I bring G5213 you G2097 [G5731] good tidings G3173 of great G5479 joy, G3748 which G2071 [G5704] shall be G3956 to all G2992 people.
  11 G3754 For G5213 to you G5088 [G5681] is born G4594 this day G1722 in G4172 the city G1138 of David G4990 a Saviour, G3739 who G2076 [G5748] is G5547 Anointed G2962 the Lord.
  12 G2532 And G5124 this G4592 shall be a sign G5213 to you; G2147 [G5692] Ye shall find G1025 the babe G4683 [G5772] wrapped in swaddling clothes, G2749 [G5740] lying G1722 in G5336 a manger.
  13 G2532 And G1810 suddenly G1096 [G5633] there was G4862 with G32 the messenger G4128 a multitude G3770 of the heavenly G4756 host G134 [G5723] praising G2316 God, G2532 and G3004 [G5723] saying,
  14 G1391 Glory G2316 to God G1722 in G5310 the highest, G2532 and G1909 on G1093 earth G1515 peace, G2107 good will G1722 toward G444 men.
  15 G2532 And G1096 [G5633] it came to pass, G5613 when G32 the messengers G565 [G5627] had gone away G575 from G846 them G1519 into G3772 heaven, G2532   G444 G4166 the shepherds G2036 [G5627] said G240 0 one G4314 to G240 another, G1330 0 Let us G1211 now G1330 [G5632] go G2193 even to G965 Bethlehem, G2532 and G1492 [G5632] see G5124 this G4487 utterance G1096 [G5756] which is come to pass, G3739 G3588 which G2962 the Lord G1107 [G5656] hath made known G2254 to us.
  16 G2532 And G2064 [G5627] they came G4692 [G5660] with haste, G2532 G5037 and G429 [G5627] found G3137 Mary, G2532 and G2501 Joseph, G2532 and G1025 the babe G2749 [G5740] lying G1722 in G5336 a manger.
  17 G1161 And G1492 [G5631] when they had seen G1232 [G5656] it, they made known abroad G4012 concerning G3588 the G4487 utterance G3588 which G2980 [G5685] was told G846 them G4012 concerning G5127 this G3813 child.
  18 G2532 And G3956 all G191 [G5660] they that heard G2296 [G5656] it wondered G4012 at G3588 those things which G2980 [G5685] were told G4314 G846 them G5259 by G4166 the shepherds.
  19 G1161 But G3137 Mary G4933 [G5707] preserved G3956 all G5023 these G4487 utterances, G4820 [G5723] and uniting G1722 them in G846 her G2588 heart.
  20 G2532 And G4166 the shepherds G1994 [G5656] returned, G1392 [G5723] glorifying G2532 and G134 [G5723] praising G2316 God G1909 for G3956 all the things G3739 that G191 [G5656] they had heard G2532 and G1492 [G5627] seen, G2531 as G2980 [G5681] it was told G4314 to G846 them.
  21 G2532 And G3753 when G3638 eight G2250 days G4130 [G5681] were accomplished G4059 [G5629] for the circumcising G3813 of the child, G2532   G846 his G3686 name G2564 [G5681] was called G2424 JESUS, G3588 who G2564 [G5685] was so named G5259 by G32 the messenger G4253 before G846 he G4815 [G5683] was conceived G1722 in G2836 the womb.
  22 G2532 And G3753 when G2250 the days G846 of her G2512 purification G2596 according G3551 to the law G3475 of Moses G4130 [G5681] were accomplished, G321 0 they led G846 him G321 [G5627] up G1519 to G2414 Jerusalem, G3936 [G5658] to present G2962 him to the Lord;
  23 G2531 (As G1125 [G5769] it is written G1722 in G3551 the law G2962 of the Lord, G3754   G3956 Every G730 male G1272 [G5723] that openeth G3388 the womb G2564 [G5701] shall be called G40 holy G2962 to the Lord;)
  24 G2532 And G1325 [G5629] to offer G2378 a sacrifice G2596 according G2046 [G5772] to that which is said G1722 in G3551 the law G2962 of the Lord, G2201 A pair G5167 of turtledoves, G2228 or G1417 two G3502 young G4058 pigeons.
  25 G2532 And, G2400 [G5628] behold, G2258 [G5713] there was G444 a man G1722 in G2419 Jerusalem, G3739 whose G3686 name G4826 was Simeon; G2532 and G3778 the same G444 man G1342 was righteous G2532 and G2126 devout, G4327 [G5740] one causing himself to receive to himself G3874 the consolation G2474 of Israel: G2532 and G40 the Holy G4151 Spirit G2258 [G5713] was G1909 upon G846 him.
  26 G2532 And G2258 [G5713] there was G5537 [G5772] a receiving of a divine message G846 to him G5259 by G40 the Holy G4151 Spirit, G1492 0 that he should G3361 not G1492 [G5629] see G2288 death, G4250 G2228 before G1492 [G5632] he had seen G2962 the Lord's G5547 Anointed.
  27 G2532 And G2064 [G5627] he came G1722 by G4151 the Spirit G1519 into G2411 the temple: G2532 and G1118 when the parents G1521 [G5629] brought G1722 in G3813 the child G2424 Jesus, G4160 G846 [G5658] to do G4012 for G846 him G2596 after G1480 [G5772] the custom G3551 of the law,
  28 G2532 Then G846 he G1209 0 took G846 him G1209 [G5662] up G1519 in G846 his G43 arms, G2532 and G2127 [G5656] blessed G2316 God, G2532 and G2036 [G5627] said,
  29 G1203 Master, G3568 now G630 0 lettest thou G4675 thy G1401 slave G630 [G5719] depart G1722 in G1515 peace, G2596 according G4675 to thy G4487 utterance:
  30 G3754 For G3450 my G3788 eyes G1492 [G5627] have seen G4675 thy G4992 salvation,
  31 G3739 Which G2090 [G5656] thou hast prepared G2596 before G4383 the face G3956 of all G2992 people;
  32 G5457 A light G1519 to the G602 revealing G1484 of nations, G2532 and G1391 the glory G4675 of thy G2992 people G2474 Israel.
  33 G2532 And G2501 Joseph G2532 and G846 his G3384 mother G2258 G2296 [G5713] marvelled G1909 at G2980 [G5746] those things which were spoken G4012 concerning G846 him.
  34 G2532 And G4826 Simeon G2127 [G5656] blessed G846 them, G2532 and G2036 [G5627] said G4314 to G3137 Mary G846 his G3384 mother, G2400 [G5628] Behold, G3778 this G2749 [G5736] child is set G1519 for G4431 the fall G2532 and G386 rising again G4183 of many G1722 in G2474 Israel; G2532 and G1519 for G4592 a sign G483 [G5746] which shall be spoken against;
  35 G1161 (And, G4501 a broadsword G1330 [G5695] shall pierce through G4675 thy G846 own G5590 breath G2532 also,) G3704 that G1261 the thoughts G1537 of G4183 many G2588 G302 hearts G601 [G5686] may be revealed.
  36 G2532 And G2258 [G5713] there was G451 one Anna, G4398 a prophetess, G2364 the daughter G5323 of Phanuel, G1537 of G5443 the tribe G768 of Asher: G3778 G846 [G5625] she G4183 G1722 was of a great G2250 G4260 [G5761] age, G2198 [G5660] and had lived G3326 with G435 an husband G2033 seven G2094 years G575 from G846 her G3932 virginity;
  37 G2532 And G3778 she G5503 was a widow G5613 of about G3589 eighty G5064 and four G2094 years, G3739 who G868 [G5711] departed G3756 not G575 from G2411 the temple, G3000 [G5723] ministering G3521 with fastings G2532 and G1162 prayers G3571 night G2532 and G2250 day.
  38 G2532 And G3778 G846 [G5625] she G2186 [G5631] standing by G846 that G5610 hour G437 [G5711] gave thanks likewise G2962 to the Lord, G2532 and G2980 [G5707] spoke G4012 concerning G846 him G3956 to all G3588 the ones G4327 [G5740] causing themselves to receive to themselves G3085 redemption G1722 in G2419 Jerusalem.
  39 G2532 And G5613 when G5055 [G5656] they had performed G537 all things G2596 according G3551 to the law G2962 of the Lord, G5290 [G5656] they returned G1519 into G1056 Galilee, G1519 to G846 their own G4172 city G3478 Nazareth.
  40 G1161 And G3813 the child G837 [G5707] grew, G2532 and G2901 [G5712] became strong G4151 in spirit, G4137 [G5746] filled G4678 with wisdom: G2532 and G5485 the grace G2316 of God G2258 [G5713] was G1909 upon G846 him.
  41 G2532 Now G846 his G1118 parents G4198 [G5711] went G1519 to G2419 Jerusalem G2596 every G2094 year G1859 at the feast G3957 of the passover.
  42 G2532 And G3753 when G1096 [G5633] he was G1427 twelve G2094 years old, G846 they G305 [G5631] went up G1519 to G2414 Jerusalem G2596 according to G1485 the custom G1859 of the feast.
  43 G2532 And G5048 [G5660] when they had fulfilled G2250 the days, G1722 as G846 they G5290 [G5721] returned, G3816 the child G2424 Jesus G5278 [G5656] tarried behind G1722 in G2419 Jerusalem; G2532 and G2501 Joseph G2532 and G846 his G3384 mother G1097 [G5627] knew G3756 not of it.
  44 G1161 But G3543 [G5660] they, supposing G846 him G1511 [G5750] to be G1722 in G4923 the company, G2064 [G5627] went G2250 a day's G3598 journey; G2532 and G327 [G5707] they sought G846 him G1722 among G4773 their kinsfolk G2532 G1722 and G1110 acquaintance.
  45 G2532 And G2147 [G5631] when they found G846 him G3361 not, G5290 [G5656] they returned G1519 to G2419 Jerusalem, G2212 [G5723] seeking G846 him.
  46 G2532 And G1096 [G5633] it came to pass, G3326 that after G5140 three G2250 days G2147 [G5627] they found G846 him G1722 in G2411 the temple, G2516 [G5740] sitting G1722 in G3319 the midst G1320 of the teachers, G2532 both G191 [G5723] hearing G846 them, G2532 and G1905 0 asking G846 them G1905 [G5723] questions.
  47 G1161 And G3956 all G191 [G5723] that heard G846 him G1839 [G5710] were astonished G1909 at G846 his G4907 understanding G2532 and G612 answers.
  48 G2532 And G1492 [G5631] when they saw G846 him, G1605 [G5648] they were amazed: G2532 and G846 his G3384 mother G2036 [G5627] said G4314 to G846 him, G5043 Child, G5101 why G4160 0 hast thou G3779 thus G4160 [G5656] dealt G2254 with us? G2400 [G5628] behold, G4675 thy G3962 father G2504 and I, G3600 [G5746] being distressed, G2212 [G5707] were seeking G4571 thee.
  49 G2532 And G2036 [G5627] he said G4314 to G846 them, G5101 { How G3754 is it that G2212 [G5707] ye sought G3165 me? G1492 [G5715] knew ye G3756 not G3754 that G3165 I G1163 [G5748] must G1511 [G5750] be G1722 about G3450 my G3962 Father's business?}
  50 G2532 And G846 they G4920 [G5656] understood G3756 not G4487 the utterance G3739 which G2980 [G5656] he spoke G846 to them.
  51 G2532 And G2597 [G5627] he went down G3326 with G846 them, G2532 and G2064 [G5627] came G1519 to G3478 Nazareth, G2532 and G2258 [G5713] was G5293 [G5746] subject G846 to them: G2532 but G846 his G3384 mother G1301 [G5707] kept G3956 all G5023 these G4487 utterances G1722 in G846 her G2588 heart.
  52 G2532 And G2424 Jesus G4298 [G5707] increased G4678 in wisdom G2532 and G2244 stature, G2532 and G5485 in favour G3844 with G2316 God G2532 and G444 man.
