  2 G3985 during G5062 forty G2250 days, G3985 being G3985 tempted G5259 of G1228 the devil. G2532 And G5315 he did eat G3756 nothing G3762   G1722 in G1565 those G2250 days: G2532 and G846 when they G5305 were completed, G3983 he hungered.
  3 G2532 And G1228 the devil G2036 said G846 unto him, G1487 if G1488 thou art G5207 the Son G2316 of God, G2036 command G5129 this G3037 stone G2443 that G1096 it become G740 bread.
  4 G2532 And G2424 Jesus G611 answered G846 unto him, G3004 It G1125 is written, G444 Man G2198 shall G3756 not G2198 live G1909 by G740 bread G3441 alone.

  7 G1437 If G4771 thou G3767 therefore G4352 wilt worship G1799 before G3450 me, G3956 it shall all G2071 be G4675 thine.
  8 G2532 And G2424 Jesus G611 answered G2036 and said G846 unto him, G1125 It is written, G4352 Thou shalt worship G2962 the Lord G4675 thy G2316 God, G2532 and G846 him G3441 only G3000 shalt thou serve.

  28 G2532 And G3956 they G4130 were all filled G2372 with wrath G1722 in G4864 the synagogue, G191 as they heard G5023 these things;
  29 G2532 and G450 they rose up, G1544 and cast G846 him G1854 forth out of G4172 the city, G2532 and G71 led G846 him G2193 unto G3790 the brow G3735 of the hill G1909 whereon G846 their G4172 city G3618 was built, G1519 that G2630 they might throw G846 him G3739 down headlong.
  30 G1161 But G846 he G1330 passing G1223 through G3319 the midst G846 of them G4198 went his way.
  31 G2532 And G2718 he came down G1519 to G2584 Capernaum, G4172 a city G1056 of Galilee. G2532 And G2258 he was G1321 teaching G846 them G1722 on G4521 the sabbath day:
  32 G2532 and G1605 they were astonished G1909 at G846 his G1322 teaching; G3754 for G846 his G3056 word G2258 was G1722 with G1849 authority.
  33 G2532 And G1722 in G4864 the synagogue G2258 there was G444 a man, G2192 that had G4151 a spirit G169 of an unclean G1140 demon; G2532 and G349 he cried out G3173 with a loud G5456 voice,
  34 G5101 Ah! what G2254 have we to do G4671 with thee, G2424 Jesus G3479 thou Nazarene? G2064 art thou come G622 to destroy G2248 us? G1492 I know G4571 thee G5101 who G1488 thou art, G40 the Holy One G2316 of God.
  35 G2532 And G2424 Jesus G2008 rebuked G846 him, G3004 saying, G5392 Hold thy peace, G2532 and G1831 come out G1537 of G846 him. G2532 And when G1140 the demon G4496 had thrown G846 him G1519 down in G3319 the midst, G1831 he came G575 out of G846 him, G846 having done him G3367 no G984 hurt.
  36 G2532 And G2285 amazement G1096 came G1909 upon G3956 all, G2532 and G4814 they spake G4314 together, G240 one with another, G3004 saying, G5101 What G3778 is this G3056 word? G3754 for G1722 with G1849 authority G2532 and G1411 power G2004 he commandeth G169 the unclean G4151 spirits, G2532 and G1831 they come out.
  37 G2532 And G1607 there went forth G2279 a rumor G846 concerning him G1519 into G3956 every G5117 place G4066 of the region round about.
  38 G1161 And G450 he rose G450 up G4864 from the synagogue, G1525 and entered G1519 into G3614 the house G1537 of G1161 Simon. And G4613 Simon's G3994 wife's mother G2258 was G4912 holden with G3173 a great G4446 fever; G2532 and G2065 they besought G846 him G4012 for G846 her.
  39 G2532 And G2186 he stood G1883 over G846 her, G2008 and rebuked G4446 the fever; G2532 and G863 it left G846 her: G1161 and G3916 immediately G450 she rose G1247 up and ministered G846 unto them.
  40 G1161 And when G2246 the sun G1416 was setting, G3956 all G3745 they that G2192 had G770 any sick G4164 with divers G3554 diseases G71 brought G846 them G4314 unto G846 him; G1161 and G2007 he laid G5495 his hands G1538 on every G1520 one G846 of them, G2323 and healed G846 them.
  41 G1161 And G1140 demons G2532 also G1831 came out G575 from G4183 many, G2896 crying out, G2532 and G3754 saying, G4771 Thou G1488 art G5207 the Son G2316 of God. G2532 And G2008 rebuking G846 them, G1439 he suffered G846 them G3756 not G2980 to speak, G3754 because G1492 they knew G846 that he G1511 was G5547 the Christ.
  42 G1161 And G1096 when it was G2250 day, G1831 he came out G4198 and went G1519 into G2048 a desert G5117 place: G2532 and G3793 the multitudes G2212 sought G846 after him, G2532 and G2064 came G2193 unto G846 him, G2532 and G2722 would have stayed G846 him, G3361 that he should not G4198 go G575 from G846 them.
  43 G1161 But G2036 he said G4314 unto G3754 them, G3165 I G1163 must G2097 preach G932 the good tidings of the kingdom G2316 of God G1519 to G2087 the other G4172 cities G2532 also: G3754 for G5124 therefore G649 was I sent.
  44 G2532 And G2258 he was G2784 preaching G1722 in G4864 the synagogues G1056 of Galilee.
