HOT(i) 11 והיה בהעלות חיל הכשׂדים מעל ירושׁלם מפני חיל פרעה׃ 12 ויצא ירמיהו מירושׁלם ללכת ארץ בנימן לחלק משׁם בתוך העם׃ 13 ויהי הוא בשׁער בנימן ושׁם בעל פקדת ושׁמו יראייה בן שׁלמיה בן חנניה ויתפשׂ את ירמיהו הנביא לאמר אל הכשׂדים אתה נפל׃ 14 ויאמר ירמיהו שׁקר אינני נפל על הכשׂדים ולא שׁמע אליו ויתפשׂ יראייה בירמיהו ויבאהו אל השׂרים׃ 15 ויקצפו השׂרים על ירמיהו והכו אתו ונתנו אותו בית האסור בית יהונתן הספר כי אתו עשׂו לבית הכלא׃ 16 כי בא ירמיהו אל בית הבור ואל החניות וישׁב שׁם ירמיהו ימים רבים׃ 17 וישׁלח המלך צדקיהו ויקחהו וישׁאלהו המלך בביתו בסתר ויאמר הישׁ דבר מאת יהוה ויאמר ירמיהו ישׁ ויאמר ביד מלך בבל תנתן׃ 18 ויאמר ירמיהו אל המלך צדקיהו מה חטאתי לך ולעבדיך ולעם הזה כי נתתם אותי אל בית הכלא׃ 19 ואיו נביאיכם אשׁר נבאו לכם לאמר לא יבא מלך בבל עליכם ועל הארץ הזאת׃ 20 ועתה שׁמע נא אדני המלך תפל נא תחנתי לפניך ואל תשׁבני בית יהונתן הספר ולא אמות שׁם׃ 21 ויצוה המלך צדקיהו ויפקדו את ירמיהו בחצר המטרה ונתן לו ככר לחם ליום מחוץ האפים עד תם כל הלחם מן העיר וישׁב ירמיהו בחצר המטרה׃

Irijah arrested Jeremiah and took him to the officials. 15 The princes were angry with Jeremiah and struck him and imprisoned him in the house of Jonathan the scribe; for they had made that the prison. 16 Jeremiah went into a prison cell, and he stayed there a long time. 17 Then King Zedekiah sent for Jeremiah, and the king asked him privately in the palace: "Is there any message from the LORD? Jeremiah answered: Yes! There is a message from the LORD. You will be handed over to the king of Babylon." 18 Then Jeremiah asked King Zedekiah, "What offense have I committed against you, your officials, or these people that you have put me in prison? 19 "Where are the prophets who told you that the king of Babylon would not attack you and this land? 20 Now then, my lord the king, please let my plea fall before you. Ukrainian(i) 11 І сталося, коли халдейське військо відступило від Єрусалиму перед фараоновим військом, 12 то вийшов Єремія з Єрусалиму, щоб піти до Веніяминового краю, і щоб сховатися там серед народу. 13 Та коли він був біля Веніяминової брами, то був там начальник сторожі, а ім'я йому Їрійя, син Шелемеї, сина Хананіїного. І схопив він пророка Єремію, говорячи: Ти переходиш до халдеїв! 14 А Єремія відказав: Неправда, я не переходжу до халдеїв! Та не послухав той його; і схопив Їрійя Єремію, і попровадив його до зверхників. 15 І розгнівалися зверхники на Єремію, і побили його, та й віддали його до в'язниці в домі писаря Єгонатана, бо його зробили за в'язничний дім. 16 І зійшов Єремія до темничної ями та до підвалу, і сидів там Єремія багато днів... 17 І послав цар Седекія, і взяв його. І спитав його цар у своїм домі таємно й сказав: Чи є слово від Господа? І Єремія відказав: Є. І далі сказав: Ти будеш відданий в руку вавилонського царя... 18 І сказав Єремія до царя Седекії: Що я згрішив тобі й рабам твоїм та цьому народові, що ви віддали мене до в'язниці? 19 І де ваші пророки, що вам пророкували, говорячи: Цар вавилонський не прийде на вас та на Край цей? 20 А тепер послухай, пане мій царю: хай упаде моє благання перед обличчя твоє, і не вертай мене до дому писаря Єгонатана, щоб не помер я там!... 21 І наказав цар Седекія, й Єремію вмістили в подвір'ї в'язниці, і давали йому буханець хліба на день з вулиці пекарів, аж поки не скінчився ввесь хліб у місті. І сидів Єремія в подвір'ї в'язниці.
