Brenton(i) 15 And he blessed them and said, The God in whose sight my fathers were well pleasing, even Abraam and Isaac, the God who continues to feed me from my youth until this day; 16 the angel who delivers me from all evils, bless these boys, and my name shall be called upon them, and the name of my fathers, Abraam and Isaac; and let them be increased to a great multitude on the earth. 17 And Joseph having seen that his father put his right hand on the head of Ephraim — it seemed grievous to him; and Joseph took hold of the hand of his father, to remove it from the head of Ephraim to the head of Manasse. 18 And Joseph said to his father, Not so, father; for this is the first-born; lay thy right-hand upon his head. 19 And he would not, but said, I know it, son, I know it; he also shall be a people, and he shall be exalted, but his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. 20 And he blessed them in that day, saying, In you shall Israel be blessed, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and Manasse; and he set Ephraim before Manasse. 21 And Israel said to Joseph, Behold, I die; and God shall be with you, and restore you to the land of your fathers. 22 And I give to thee Sicima, a select portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorites with my sword and bow.

Leeser(i) 15 And he blessed Joseph, and said, The God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God who fed me from my first being unto this day, 16 The angel who redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be called on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth. 17 And when Joseph saw that his father would lay his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he took hold of his father’s hand, to remove it from the head of Ephraim unto the head of Menasseh. 18 And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father; for this is the first-born, put thy right hand upon his head. 19 And his father refused, and said, I know, my son, I know, he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great; but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. 20 And he blessed them that day, saying, With thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and Menasseh: and so he set Ephraim before Menasseh. 21 And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die; but God will be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers 22 Moreover I have given unto thee one portion above thy brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Emorite with my sword and with my bow.
YLT(i) 15 And he blesseth Joseph, and saith, `God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked habitually: God who is feeding me from my being unto this day: 16 the Messenger who is redeeming me from all evil doth bless the youths, and my name is called upon them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and they increase into a multitude in the midst of the land.' 17 And Joseph seeth that his father setteth his right hand on the head of Ephraim, and it is wrong in his eyes, and he supporteth the hand of his father to turn it aside from off the head of Ephraim to the head of Manasseh; 18 and Joseph saith unto his father, `Not so, my father, for this is the first-born; set thy right hand on his head.' 19 And his father refuseth, and saith, `I have known, my son, I have known; he also becometh a people, and he also is great, and yet, his young brother is greater than he, and his seed is the fulness of the nations;' 20 and he blesseth them in that day, saying, `By thee doth Israel bless, saying, God set thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh;' and he setteth Ephraim before Manasseh. 21 And Israel saith unto Joseph, `Lo, I am dying, and God hath been with you, and hath brought you back unto the land of your fathers; 22 and I—I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I have taken out of the hand of the Amorite by my sword and by my bow.'
JuliaSmith(i) 15 And he will bless Joseph, and will say, God, before whom my fathers went, Abraham and Isaak, the God having fed me, from ever since I was till this day. 16 The messenger redeeming me from all evil, shall bless the youths; and my name shall be called upon them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaak and they shall be increased into a multitude in the midst of the earth. 17 And Joseph will see that his father will put his right hand upon Ephraim's head, and it will be evil in his eyes: and he will take hold of his father's hand to remove it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's head. 18 And Joseph will say to his father, Not so, my father: for this is the first-born; put thy right hand upon his head. 19 And his father will refuse and will say, I knew my son, I knew: this also shall be into a people, and this also shall be great: and yet his brother the small, shall be great more than he, and his seed shall be a fulness of nations. 20 And he will bless them in that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, Will God set thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he will set Ephraim before Manasseh. 21 And Israel will say to Joseph, I am dying: and God was with you and turned you back to the land of your fathers. 22 And I gave to thee one shoulder over thy brethren, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

Rotherham(i) 15 Thus blessed he Joseph, and said,––God himself––before whom walked my fathers, Abraham and Isaac, God himself––who hath been my shepherd, since I came into being until this day; –– 16 The Messenger––who hath been my redeemer from all evil––bless the lads! And may there be called upon them, my name, and the name of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac; And may they swarm into a multitude in the midst of the earth! 17 And Joseph saw that his father had laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, and it was displeasing in his eyes,––so he took hold of his father’s hand, to remove it from off the head of Ephraim, on to the head of Manasseh. 18 And Joseph said unto his father––Not so, my father! for, this, is the firstborn, lay thy right hand upon his head. 19 And his father refused, and said––I know––my son, I know! He also, shall become a people, and, he also, shall become great,––but nevertheless, his younger brother, shall become greater than he, and, his seed, shall become a filling up of the nations. 20 And he blessed them on that day, saying––In thee, let Israel bless himself, saying, God set thee as Ephraim, and as Manasseh! So he set Ephraim before Manasseh. 21 And Israel said unto Joseph: Lo! I, am about to die,––but it shall come to pass that, God, will be, with you, and will take you back into the land of your fathers. 22 But, I, have given to thee one mountain–track, above thy brethren,––which I took out of the hand of the Amorite, with my sword and with my bow.
CLV(i) 15 And blessing them is he and saying, "The Elohim before Whom my forefathers, Abraham and Isaac, walked, the Elohim, my Shepherd from my youth till this day, 16 the Messenger, my Redeemer from all evil, bless these youths. And called on them shall be my name, and the name of my forefathers, Abraham and Isaac. And prolific shall they be, to make a vast increase within the land. 17 And seeing is Joseph that his father is setting his right hand on Ephraim's head, and evil is it in his eyes. And up is Joseph holding his father's hand, to take it away, off of Ephraim's head, on to Manasseh's head. 18 And saying is Joseph to his father, "Not so, my father, for this is the firstborn. Place your right on his head. 19 And refusing is his father and saying, "I know, my son! I know! Moreover, he shall become a people, and he shall become great. Howbeit, his smaller brother shall be greater than he. And his seed shall become a fullness of the nations. 20 And blessing them is he in that day, saying, "By you shall Israel bless, saying, "The Elohim make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh!.And placing is he Ephraim before Manasseh. 21 And saying is Israel to Joseph, "Behold! I am dying. Yet the Elohim comes to be with you, and restores you to the land of your forefathers!" 22 And I, behold! I give to you Shechem, one share over your brothers, of that which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
BBE(i) 15 And he gave Joseph a blessing, saying, May the God to whom my fathers, Abraham and Isaac, gave worship, the God who has taken care of me all my life till this day, 16 The angel who has been my saviour from all evil, send his blessing on these children: and let my name and the name of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac, be given to them; and let them become a great nation in the earth. 17 Now when Joseph saw that his father had put his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it did not seem right to him; and lifting his father's hand he would have put it on the head of Manasseh. 18 And Joseph said to his father, Not so, my father, for this is the older; put your right hand on his head. 19 But his father would not, saying, I am doing it on purpose, my son; he will certainly become a nation and a great one; but his younger brother will be greater than he, and his seed will become a great family of nations. 20 So he gave them his blessing that day, saying, You will be the sign of blessing in Israel, for they will say, May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh; and he put Ephraim before Manasseh. 21 Then Israel said to Joseph, Now my death is near; but God will be with you, guiding you back to the land of your fathers. 22 And I have given you more than your brothers, even Shechem as your heritage, which I took from the Amorites with my sword and my bow.
MKJV(i) 15 And he blessed Joseph and said, May God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who fed me all my life to this day, 16 the Angel who redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads. And let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and let them grow like the fishes into a multitude in the midst of the earth. 17 And Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, and it was evil in his eyes. NSB(i) 15 Jacob blessed Joseph. He said: »May God, in whose presence my grandfather Abraham and my father Isaac walked, may this God who has been my shepherd all my life to this very day, 16 »May the being who rescued me from all evil bless these boys! May they be called by my name and by the names of my grandfather Abraham and my father Isaac. May they have many children on the earth.« 17 Joseph saw that his father had put his right hand on Ephraim’s head. Joseph did not like it. So he took his father’s hand in order to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s. 18 He said to his father: »That is not right, Father! This is the firstborn. Put your right hand on his head.« 19 His father refused and said: »I know, Son, I know! Manasseh, too, will become a nation. He, too, will be important. Nevertheless, his younger brother will be more important than he. His descendants will become many nations.« 20 That day he blessed them. He said: »Because of you, Israel will speak this blessing: ‘May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh!’ In this way Israel put Ephraim ahead of Manasseh.« 21 Then Israel said to Joseph: »I am about to die. God will be with you. He will bring you back to the land of your fathers. 22 »I am giving you one more mountain ridge than your brothers. I took it from the Amorites with my own sword and bow.«
ISV(i) 15 Israel Blesses Joseph’s SonsThen Israel blessed Joseph by saying: “May the God in whose presence my ancestors Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has continued shepherding me my whole life even until today, 16 the angel who has been rescuing me from all sorts of evil, bless these young men. May my name continue to live on within them, including the names of my ancestors Abraham and Isaac, and may they grow into a vast multitude throughout the earth.”
17 But Joseph observed that his father had laid his right hand on Ephraim’s head. That displeased him, so he grabbed his father’s hand and started to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. 18 “No, father, this one is the firstborn. Place your right hand on his head.”
19 But his father refused. “I know,” he said. “I know. He’s going to produce a large nation, and he’s going to be very great. However, his younger brother will become even greater than he, and his descendants will become a multitude of nations.”
20 That very day, Jacob blessed them with this blessing: “By you Israel will extend this blessing: ‘May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh!’”
By doing this, he placed Ephraim before Manasseh. 21 Then Israel told Joseph, “Pay attention! I’m about to die, but God will be with you. He’ll bring you back to the land that belongs to your ancestors. 22 I’m assigning you one portion more than your brothers from the land that I confiscated from the control of the Amorites in battle.”

And may they be called by my name and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they grow into a multitude upon the earth.” 17 When Joseph saw that his father had placed his right hand on Ephraim’s head, he was displeased and took his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s. 18 “Not so, my father!” Joseph said. “This one is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head.” 19 But his father refused. “I know, my son, I know!” he said. “He too shall become a people, and he too shall be great; nevertheless, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his offspring shall become a multitude of nations.” 20 So that day Jacob blessed them and said: “By you shall Israel pronounce this blessing: ‘May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh.’” So he put Ephraim before Manasseh. 21 Then Israel said to Joseph, “Look, I am about to die, but God will be with you and bring you back to the land of your fathers. 22 And to you, as one who is above your brothers, I give the ridge of land that I took from the Amorites with my sword and bow.”

MLV(i) 15 And he blessed Joseph and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has fed me all my life long to this day, 16 the messenger who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads and let my name be named on them and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.
17 And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him. And he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's head. 18 And Joseph said to his father, Not so, my father, because this is the firstborn, put your right hand upon his head.
19 And his father refused and said, I know, my son, I know. He also will become a people and he also will be great. However, his younger brother will be greater than he and his seed will become a multitude of nations. 20 And he blessed them that day, saying, In you will Israel bless, saying, God make you like Ephraim and like Manasseh. And he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
21 And Israel said to Joseph, Behold, I die, but God will be with you* and bring you* again to the land of your* fathers. 22 Moreover I have given to you one portion above your brothers, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.

VIN(i) 15 And he blessed Joseph, and said: 'The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God who hath been my shepherd all my life long unto this day, 16 the Angel who delivered me from all evils, bless these children! However, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his descendants will become a multitude of nations." 20 So he blessed them that day, saying, Through you Israel shall pronounce blessing, saying, 'May God make you like Ephraim and like Manasseh.'" So he put Ephraim before Manasseh. 21 Then Israel said to Joseph: "I am about to die. God will be with you. He will bring you back to the land of your fathers. 22 And I have given you more than your brothers, even Shechem as your heritage, which I took from the Amorites with my sword and my bow.

21 Poslije Izrael reče Josipu: "Ja ću, evo, naskoro umrijeti; no Bog će biti s vama i opet vas dovesti u zemlju vaših otaca.

I představil Efraima Manassesovi. 21 Řekl také Izrael Jozefovi: Aj, já umírám, a budeť Bůh s vámi, a zase vás přivede do země otců vašich. 22 Já pak dal jsem tobě jeden díl výš nad bratří tvé, kteréhož jsem mečem svým a lučištěm svým dosáhl z ruky Amorejského.

E Israele antepose Efraim a Manasse.

22 Be to, aš daviau tau viena dalimi daugiau negu tavo broliams, kurią atėmiau iš amoritų savo kardu ir savo lanku”.
