18 H4428 Then king H1732 David H935 [H8799] went in, H3427 [H8799] and sat H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD, H559 [H8799] and he said, H136 Who am I, O Sovereign H3069 LORD? H1004 and what is my house, H935 [H8689] that thou hast brought H1988 me thus far?
19 H6994 [H8799] And this was yet a small thing H5869 in thine eyes, H136 O Sovereign H3069 LORD; H1696 [H8762] but thou hast spoken H5650 also of thy servant's H1004 house H7350 for a great while to come. H8452 And is this the manner H120 of man, H136 O Sovereign H3069 LORD?
  20 H3254 0 And what can H1732 David H1696 [H8763] say H3254 [H8686] more H136 to thee? for thou, Sovereign H3069 LORD, H3045 [H8804] knowest H5650 thy servant.
21 H1697 For thy word's H3820 sake, and according to thy own heart, H6213 [H8804] hast thou done H1420 all these great things, H5650 to make thy servant H3045 [H8687] know them.
22 H1431 [H8804] Therefore thou art great, H3068 O LORD H430 God: H430 for there is none like thee, neither is there any God H2108 besides H8085 [H8804] thee, according to all that we have heard H241 with our ears.
23 H259 And what one H1471 nation H776 in the earth H5971 is like thy people, H3478 even like Israel, H430 whom God H1980 [H8804] went H6299 [H8800] to ransom H5971 for a people H7760 [H8800] to himself, and to make H8034 him a name, H6213 [H8800] and to do H1420 for you great things H3372 [H8737] and terrible, H776 for thy land, H6440 at the face of H5971 thy people, H6299 [H8804] whom thou didst ransom H4714 to thee from Egypt, H1471 from the nations H430 and their gods?
24 H3559 [H8787] For thou hast confirmed H5971 to thyself thy people H3478 Israel H5971 to be a people H5704 to thee for H5769 ever: H3068 and thou, LORD, H1961 [H8804] art become H430 their God.

26 H8034 And let thy name H1431 [H8799] be magnified H5704 for H5769 ever, H559 [H8800] saying, H3068 The LORD H6635 of hosts H430 is the God H3478 over Israel: H1004 and let the house H5650 of thy servant H1732 David H3559 [H8737] be established H6440 at the face of thee.
  27 H3068 For thou, O LORD H6635 of hosts, H430 God H3478 of Israel, H1540 H241 [H8804] hast revealed H5650 to thy servant, H559 [H8800] saying, H1129 [H8799] I will build H1004 thee an house: H5650 therefore hath thy servant H4672 [H8804] found H3820 in his heart H6419 [H8692] to pray H8605 this prayer to thee.

Now then, thou, Lord, my Lord! knowest thy servant, 21 and on account of thy servant thou hast done, and according to thine own heart hast made all this greatness in order to make known to thy servant 22 with respect to the magnifying of thee, my Lord! that there is none like thee, and that there is not a god besides thee among all that we have heard of with our ears. 23 Moreover what other nation is there on the earth like thy people Israel? How hath God gone before them to redeem a people for himself; to make thyself a name; to display majesty and an appearance of deity; to drive out from before thy people, whom thou hadst redeemed for thyself out of Egypt, 24 nations and wandering hordes! Thou indeed preparedst for thyself thy people Israel to be a people for ever, and thou, Lord! wast their God. 25 Now therefore, my Lord, confirm the word which thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and his house, confirm it everlastingly, Lord Almighty, O God of Israel. 26 And now as thou hast spoken let thy name be magnified for ever. 27 O Lord Almighty, God of Israel, thou hast made a revelation to thy servant, saying, I am to build a house for thee; therefore thy servant hath found this disposition of his heart to make this prayer to thee. 28 And now, Lord, my Lord, Thou art God, and thy words will be true, and thou hast spoken these good things respecting thy servant,

Leeser(i) 18 Then went king David in, and sat down before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord Eternal? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me as far as hitherward? 19 And this was yet too small a thing in thine eyes, O Lord Eternal; and thou hast spoken also of thy servant’s house for a distant time. And is this the desert of man, O Lord Eternal? 20 And what can David add yet more to speak unto thee? since thou, O Lord Eternal, knowest well thy servant? 21 For the sake of thy word, and in accordance with thy own heart, hast thou done all this great thing, so as to let thy servant know it. 22 Therefore art thou great, O Eternal God; for there is none like thee, and there is no God beside thee, in accordance with all that we have heard with our ears. 23 And who is like thy people, like Israel, the only nation on the earth, which God went to redeem for himself as a people, and to acquire for himself a name, and to do for you this great deed, and fearful things for thy land to drive out, from before thy people which thou hast redeemed for thyself from Egypt, nations and their gods. 24 For thou hast established for thyself thy people Israel as a people unto thee for ever; and thou, O Lord, art indeed become their God. 25 And now, O Eternal God, let the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, stand firm for ever, and do as thou hast spoken. 26 And let thy name be magnified unto everlasting, that men may say, The Lord of hosts is the God over Israel: and may the house of thy servant David be established before thee. 27 For thou, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, hast revealed to the ear of thy servant, saying, A house will be built up for thee; therefore hath thy servant found the heart to pray unto thee this prayer. 28 And now, O Lord Eternal, thou art the true God, and thy words must become the truth, and thou hast spoken unto thy servant this goodness:

And this the law of man, Lord Jehovah? 20 And what shall David yet add to speak to thee? for thou knewest thy servant, Lord Jehovah. 21 For sake of thy word and according to thy heart thou didst all this greatness to make thy servant know. 22 For this thou wert great, Jehovah God: for none as thee, for no God beside thee according to all we heard in our ears. 23 And who as thy people, as Israel, one nation in the earth whom God went to redeem to him for a people, and to set up for him a name, and to do for you greatness and wonderful things for thy land from the face of thy people whom thou didst redeem to thee from Egypt, nations and his tents. 24 And thou wilt prepare to thyself thy people Israel to thee for a people, even to forever. Rotherham(i) 18 Then entered King David, and tarried before Yahweh,––and said––Who am, I, My Lord, Yahweh, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me, hitherto; 19 and hast yet further made this seem little in thine eyes, My Lord, Yahweh, in that thou hast spoken, even of the house, of thy servant, for a great while to come? This, then is the law of manhood, O My Lord, Yahweh! 20 What more, then, can David yet further speak unto thee,––seeing that, thou thyself knowest thy servant, O My Lord Yahweh? 21 For the sake of thine own word, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this great thing,––making it known unto thy servant. 22 For this cause, hast thou magnified thyself, O Yahweh Elohim,––for there is none like unto, thee, yea there is no God besides thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. 23 Who, then, is like thy people, like Israel, a nation alone in the earth? whom God went to redeem for himself as a people, so to make himself a name, and to do for you the great deed, fearful things also for thy land, to make way for thy people, whom thou hadst redeemed for thyself, out of Egypt, [dealing with] nations and their god’s; 24 and hast established for thyself thy people Israel––for thyself as a people, unto times age–abiding,––thou thyself, also, O Yahweh, becoming their God. 25 Now, therefore, O Yahweh Elohim, the word which thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, confirm thou, unto times age–abiding,––and do, as thou hast spoken: 26 that thy name may be age–abidingly magnified, saying, Yahweh of hosts, is God over Israel, and so, the house of thy servant David, be established before thee. 27 For, thou, O Yahweh of hosts, God of Israel, hast unveiled the ear of thy servant, saying––A house, will I build for thee. For this cause, hath thy servant found in his heart, to pray unto thee, this prayer. 28 Now, therefore, O My Lord, Yahweh, thou, art God, and, thy words, shall prove true,––therefore hast thou spoken unto thy servant this goodness.

What is my house, that you bring me here? 19 And this is yet little in your eyes, O Adonay Yah Veh; and you also word of the house of your servant afar off. And is this the torah of humanity, O Adonay Yah Veh? 20 What adds David to word to you? For you, Adonay Yah Veh, know your servant: 21 for sake of your word and according to your own heart you worked all these greatnesses - so that your servant knows them. 22 Therefore you are great, O Yah Veh Elohim: for there is none like you - no elohim beside you according to all we hear with our ears. 23 And what one goyim in the earth is as your people - as Yisra El, whom Elohim comes to redeem - a people to himself; - to set him a name and to work for you great and awesome for your land at the face of your people whom you redeemed to yourself from Misrayim - from the goyim and their elohim? 24 Yes, you establish your people Yisra El to yourself to become your people eternally: and you, Yah Veh, to become their Elohim. 25 And now, O Yah Veh Elohim, the word you word concerning your servant and concerning his house, raise it eternally and work as you word. 26 And greaten your name eternally, saying, Yah Veh Sabaoth - Elohim over Yisra El: and establish the house of your servant David at your face. 27 For you, O Yah Veh Sabaoth, Elohim of Yisra El, exposed in the ear of your servant, saying, I build you a house: therefore your servant finds in his heart to pray this prayer to you. 28 And now, O Adonay Yah Veh, you are that Elohim and your words are true and you word this goodness to your servant:

Then King David went in to the presence of the LORD, sat down, and said: “Who am I, Lord GOD, and what is my family, that you have brought me to this? 19 And this is still a small thing to you, Lord GOD—you also have spoken about the future of your servant’s house, and this is the charter for mankind, O Lord GOD! 20 “What more can David say to you, and you surely know your servant, Lord GOD. 21 For the sake of your word and consistent with your desire, you have done all of these great things, informing your servant. 22 And therefore you are great, Lord GOD, there is no one like you, there is no God except for you, just as we’ve heard with our own ears. 23 “And who is like your people, like Israel, the one nation on earth that God went out to redeem as a people for himself, to make a name for himself, and to carry out for them great and awe-inspiring accomplishments, driving out nations and their gods in front of your people, whom you redeemed to yourself from Egypt? 24 You have prepared your people Israel to be your very own people for ever, and you, LORD, have become their God! 25 “And now, LORD God, let what you have spoken concerning your servant and his household be done—and let it be done just as you’ve promised. 26 May your name be made great forever with the result that it is said that the LORD of the Heavenly Armies is God over Israel, and that the household of your servant David may be established before you. 27 For you, LORD of the Heavenly Armies, the God of Israel, have revealed this to your servant, telling him, ‘I will build a dynasty for you,’ so that your servant has found fortitude to pray this prayer to you. 28 “Now therefore, Lord GOD, you are God, and your words are true, and you have spoken to your servant these good things.

28 Maintenant donc, Seigneur Eternel! tu es Dieu, tes paroles seront véritables; or tu as promis ce bien à ton serviteur.

Vi konas ja Vian sklavon, mia Sinjoro, ho Eternulo.

ItalianRiveduta(i) 18 Allora il re Davide andò a presentarsi davanti all’Eterno e disse: "Chi son io, o Signore, o Eterno, e che è la mia casa, che tu m’abbia fatto arrivare fino a questo punto? 19 E questo è parso ancora poca cosa agli occhi tuoi, o Signore, o Eterno; e tu hai parlato anche della casa del tuo servo per un lontano avvenire, sebbene questa tua legge, o Signore, o Eterno, si riferisca a degli uomini. 20 Che potrebbe Davide dirti di più? Tu conosci il tuo servo, Signore, Eterno! 21 Per amor della tua parola e seguendo il cuor tuo, hai compiuto tutte queste grandi cose per rivelarle al tuo servo. 22 Tu sei davvero grande, o Signore, o Eterno! Nessuno è pari a te, e non v’è altro Dio fuori di te, secondo tutto quello che abbiamo udito coi nostri orecchi. 23 E qual popolo è come il tuo popolo, come Israele, l’unica nazione sulla terra che Dio sia venuto a redimere per formare il suo popolo, e per farsi un nome, e per compiere a suo pro cose grandi e tremende, cacciando d’innanzi al tuo popolo che ti sei redento dall’Egitto, delle nazioni coi loro dèi? 24 Tu hai stabilito il tuo popolo d’Israele per esser tuo popolo in perpetuo; e tu, o Eterno, sei divenuto il suo Dio. 25 Or dunque, o Signore, o Eterno, la parola che hai pronunziata riguardo al tuo servo ed alla sua casa mantienila per sempre, e fa’ come hai detto. 26 E il tuo nome sia magnificato in perpetuo, e si dica: L’Eterno degli eserciti è l’Iddio d’Israele! E la casa del tuo servo Davide sia stabile dinanzi a te! 27 Poiché tu, o Eterno degli eserciti, Dio d’Israele, hai fatto una rivelazione al tuo servo e gli hai detto: Io ti edificherò una casa! Perciò il tuo servo ha preso l’ardire di rivolgerti questa preghiera. 28 Ed ora, o Signore, o Eterno, tu sei Dio, le tue parole sono verità, e hai promesso questo bene al tuo servo;
