  2 H3478 And Israel H5087 vowed [H8799]   H5088 a vow H3068 unto the LORD H559 , and said [H8799]   H5414 , If thou wilt indeed [H8800]   H5414 deliver [H8799]   H5971 this people H3027 into my hand H2763 , then I will utterly destroy [H8689]   H5892 their cities.
  3 H3068 And the LORD H8085 hearkened [H8799]   H6963 to the voice H3478 of Israel H5414 , and delivered up [H8799]   H3669 the Canaanites H2763 ; and they utterly destroyed [H8686]   H5892 them and their cities H7121 : and he called [H8799]   H8034 the name H4725 of the place H2767 Hormah.
  4 H5265 And they journeyed [H8799]   H2022 from mount H2023 Hor H1870 by the way H5488 of the Red H3220 sea H5437 , to compass [H8800]   H776 the land H123 of Edom H5315 : and the soul H5971 of the people H7114 was much discouraged [H8799]   H1870 because of the way.
  5 H5971 And the people H1696 spake [H8762]   H430 against God H4872 , and against Moses H5927 , Wherefore have ye brought us up [H8689]   H4714 out of Egypt H4191 to die [H8800]   H4057 in the wilderness H3899 ? for there is no bread H4325 , neither is there any water H5315 ; and our soul H6973 loatheth [H8804]   H7052 this light H3899 bread.
  6 H3068 And the LORD H7971 sent [H8762]   H8314 fiery H5175 serpents H5971 among the people H5391 , and they bit [H8762]   H5971 the people H7227 ; and much H5971 people H3478 of Israel H4191 died [H8799]  .
  7 H5971 Therefore the people H935 came [H8799]   H4872 to Moses H559 , and said [H8799]   H2398 , We have sinned [H8804]   H1696 , for we have spoken [H8765]   H3068 against the LORD H6419 , and against thee; pray [H8690]   H3068 unto the LORD H5493 , that he take away [H8686]   H5175 the serpents H4872 from us. And Moses H6419 prayed [H8691]   H5971 for the people.
  8 H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H4872 unto Moses H6213 , Make [H8798]   H8314 thee a fiery serpent H7760 , and set [H8798]   H5251 it upon a pole H5391 : and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten [H8803]   H7200 , when he looketh [H8804]   H2425 upon it, shall live [H8804]  .
  9 H4872 And Moses H6213 made [H8799]   H5175 a serpent H5178 of brass H7760 , and put [H8799]   H5251 it upon a pole H5175 , and it came to pass, that if a serpent H5391 had bitten [H8804]   H376 any man H5027 , when he beheld [H8689]   H5175 the serpent H5178 of brass H2425 , he lived [H8804]  .
  10 H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H5265 set forward [H8799]   H2583 , and pitched [H8799]   H88 in Oboth.
  11 H5265 And they journeyed [H8799]   H88 from Oboth H2583 , and pitched [H8799]   H5863 at Ijeabarim H4057 , in the wilderness H6440 which is before H4124 Moab H4217 , toward the sunrising H8121  .
  12 H5265 From thence they removed [H8804]   H2583 , and pitched [H8799]   H5158 in the valley H2218 of Zared.
  13 H5265 From thence they removed [H8804]   H2583 , and pitched [H8799]   H5676 on the other side H769 of Arnon H4057 , which is in the wilderness H3318 that cometh out [H8802]   H1366 of the coasts H567 of the Amorites H769 : for Arnon H1366 is the border H4124 of Moab H4124 , between Moab H567 and the Amorites.
  14 H559 Wherefore it is said [H8735]   H5612 in the book H4421 of the wars H3068 of the LORD H2052 , What he did H5492 in the Red sea H5158 , and in the brooks H769 of Arnon,
  15 H793 And at the stream H5158 of the brooks H5186 that goeth down [H8804]   H3427 to the dwelling [H8800]   H6144 of Ar H8172 , and lieth [H8738]   H1366 upon the border H4124 of Moab.
  16 H876 And from thence they went to Beer H875 : that is the well H3068 whereof the LORD H559 spake [H8804]   H4872 unto Moses H622 , Gather H5971 the people H622 together [H8798]   H5414 , and I will give [H8799]   H4325 them water.
  17 H3478 Then Israel H7891 sang [H8799]   H7892 this song H5927 , Spring up [H8798]   H875 , O well H6030 ; sing [H8798]   ye unto it:
  18 H8269 The princes H2658 digged [H8804]   H875 the well H5081 , the nobles H5971 of the people H3738 digged [H8804]   H2710 it, by the direction of the lawgiver [H8781]   H4938 , with their staves H4057 . And from the wilderness H4980 they went to Mattanah:
  19 H4980 And from Mattanah H5160 to Nahaliel H5160 : and from Nahaliel H1120 to Bamoth:
  20 H1120 And from Bamoth H1516 in the valley H7704 , that is in the country H4124 of Moab H7218 , to the top H6449 of Pisgah H8259 , which looketh [H8738]   H6440 toward H3452 Jeshimon.
  21 H3478 And Israel H7971 sent [H8799]   H4397 messengers H5511 unto Sihon H4428 king H567 of the Amorites H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
  22 H5674 Let me pass [H8799]   H776 through thy land H5186 : we will not turn [H8799]   H7704 into the fields H3754 , or into the vineyards H8354 ; we will not drink [H8799]   H4325 of the waters H875 of the well H3212 : but we will go along [H8799]   H4428 by the king's H1870 high way H5674 , until we be past [H8799]   H1366 thy borders.
  23 H5511 And Sihon H5414 would not suffer [H8804]   H3478 Israel H5674 to pass [H8800]   H1366 through his border H5511 : but Sihon H622 gathered H5971 all his people H622 together [H8799]   H3318 , and went out [H8799]   H7125 against [H8800]   H3478 Israel H4057 into the wilderness H935 : and he came [H8799]   H3096 to Jahaz H3898 , and fought [H8735]   H3478 against Israel.
  24 H3478 And Israel H5221 smote [H8686]   H6310 him with the edge H2719 of the sword H3423 , and possessed [H8799]   H776 his land H769 from Arnon H2999 unto Jabbok H1121 , even unto the children H5983 of Ammon H1366 : for the border H1121 of the children H5983 of Ammon H5794 was strong.
  25 H3478 And Israel H3947 took [H8799]   H5892 all these cities H3478 : and Israel H3427 dwelt [H8799]   H5892 in all the cities H567 of the Amorites H2809 , in Heshbon H1323 , and in all the villages thereof.
  26 H2809 For Heshbon H5892 was the city H5511 of Sihon H4428 the king H567 of the Amorites H3898 , who had fought [H8738]   H7223 against the former H4428 king H4124 of Moab H3947 , and taken [H8799]   H776 all his land H3027 out of his hand H769 , even unto Arnon.
  27 H4911 Wherefore they that speak in proverbs [H8802]   H559 say [H8799]   H935 , Come [H8798]   H2809 into Heshbon H5892 , let the city H5511 of Sihon H1129 be built [H8735]   H3559 and prepared [H8709]  :
  28 H784 For there is a fire H3318 gone out [H8804]   H2809 of Heshbon H3852 , a flame H7151 from the city H5511 of Sihon H398 : it hath consumed [H8804]   H6144 Ar H4124 of Moab H1181 , and the lords of the high places H769 of Arnon.
  29 H188 Woe H4124 to thee, Moab H6 ! thou art undone [H8804]   H5971 , O people H3645 of Chemosh H5414 : he hath given [H8804]   H1121 his sons H6412 that escaped H1323 , and his daughters H7622 , into captivity H5511 unto Sihon H4428 king H567 of the Amorites.
  30 H3384 We have shot [H8799]   H2809 at them; Heshbon H6 is perished [H8804]   H1769 even unto Dibon H8074 , and we have laid them waste [H8686]   H5302 even unto Nophah H4311 , which reacheth unto Medeba.
  31 H3478 Thus Israel H3427 dwelt [H8799]   H776 in the land H567 of the Amorites.
  32 H4872 And Moses H7971 sent [H8799]   H7270 to spy out [H8763]   H3270 Jaazer H3920 , and they took [H8799]   H1323 the villages H3423 thereof, and drove out [H8686]   [H8675]   H3423   [H8799]   H567 the Amorites that were there.
  33 H6437 And they turned [H8799]   H5927 and went up [H8799]   H1870 by the way H1316 of Bashan H5747 : and Og H4428 the king H1316 of Bashan H3318 went out [H8799]   H7125 against [H8800]   H5971 them, he, and all his people H4421 , to the battle H154 at Edrei.
  34 H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H4872 unto Moses H3372 , Fear [H8799]   H5414 him not: for I have delivered [H8804]   H3027 him into thy hand H5971 , and all his people H776 , and his land H6213 ; and thou shalt do [H8804]   H6213 to him as thou didst [H8804]   H5511 unto Sihon H4428 king H567 of the Amorites H3427 , which dwelt [H8802]   H2809 at Heshbon.
  35 H5221 So they smote [H8686]   H1121 him, and his sons H5971 , and all his people H1115 , until there was none H7604 left [H8689]   H8300 him alive H3423 : and they possessed [H8799]   H776 his land.

  1 H8085 וישׁמע heard tell H3669 הכנעני the Canaanite, H4428 מלך And king H6166 ערד Arad H3427 ישׁב which dwelt H5045 הנגב in the south, H3588 כי that H935 בא came H3478 ישׂראל Israel H1870 דרך by the way H871 האתרים of the spies; H3898 וילחם then he fought H3478 בישׂראל against Israel, H7617 וישׁב and took H4480 ממנו of H7628 שׁבי׃ them prisoners.
  2 H5087 וידר vowed H3478 ישׂראל And Israel H5088 נדר a vow H3068 ליהוה unto the LORD, H559 ויאמר and said, H518 אם If H5414 נתן thou wilt indeed deliver H5414 תתן thou wilt indeed deliver H853 את   H5971 העם people H2088 הזה this H3027 בידי into my hand, H2763 והחרמתי then I will utterly destroy H853 את   H5892 עריהם׃ their cities.
  3 H8085 וישׁמע hearkened H3068 יהוה And the LORD H6963 בקול to the voice H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H5414 ויתן and delivered up H853 את   H3669 הכנעני the Canaanites; H2763 ויחרם and they utterly destroyed H853 אתהם   H853 ואת   H5892 עריהם them and their cities: H7121 ויקרא and he called H8034 שׁם the name H4725 המקום of the place H2767 חרמה׃ Hormah.
  4 H5265 ויסעו And they journeyed H2023 מהר   H2022 ההר from mount H1870 דרך by the way H3220 ים sea, H5488 סוף of the Red H5437 לסבב to compass H853 את   H776 ארץ the land H123 אדום of Edom: H7114 ותקצר was much discouraged H5315 נפשׁ and the soul H5971 העם of the people H1870 בדרך׃ because of the way.
  5 H1696 וידבר spoke H5971 העם And the people H430 באלהים against God, H4872 ובמשׁה and against Moses, H4100 למה Wherefore H5927 העליתנו have ye brought us up H4714 ממצרים   H4191 למות to die H4057 במדבר in the wilderness? H3588 כי for H369 אין no H3899 לחם bread, H369 ואין neither H4325 מים water; H5315 ונפשׁנו and our soul H6973 קצה loatheth H3899 בלחם bread. H7052 הקלקל׃ this light
  6 H7971 וישׁלח sent H3068 יהוה And the LORD H5971 בעם among the people, H853 את   H5175 הנחשׁים serpents H8314 השׂרפים fiery H5391 וינשׁכו and they bit H853 את   H5971 העם the people; H4191 וימת died. H5971 עם people H7227 רב and much H3478 מישׂראל׃  
  7 H935 ויבא came H5971 העם Therefore the people H413 אל to H4872 משׁה Moses, H559 ויאמרו and said, H2398 חטאנו We have sinned, H3588 כי for H1696 דברנו we have spoken H3068 ביהוה against the LORD, H6419 ובך התפלל and against thee; pray H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה the LORD, H5493 ויסר that he take away H5921 מעלינו from H853 את   H5175 הנחשׁ the serpents H6419 ויתפלל prayed H4872 משׁה us. And Moses H1157 בעד for H5971 העם׃ the people.
  8 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H4872 משׁה Moses, H6213 עשׂה Make H8314 לך שׂרף thee a fiery serpent, H7760 ושׂים and set H853 אתו   H5921 על it upon H5251 נס a pole: H1961 והיה and it shall come to pass, H3605 כל that every one H5391 הנשׁוך that is bitten, H7200 וראה when he looketh upon H853 אתו   H2425 וחי׃ it, shall live.
  9 H6213 ויעשׂ made H4872 משׁה And Moses H5175 נחשׁ a serpent H5178 נחשׁת of brass, H7760 וישׂמהו and put H5921 על it upon H5251 הנס a pole, H1961 והיה and it came to pass, H518 אם that if H5391 נשׁך had bitten H5175 הנחשׁ a serpent H853 את   H376 אישׁ any man, H5027 והביט when he beheld H413 אל when he beheld H5175 נחשׁ the serpent H5178 הנחשׁת of brass, H2425 וחי׃ he lived.
  10 H5265 ויסעו set forward, H1121 בני And the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H2583 ויחנו and pitched H88 באבת׃ in Oboth.
  11 H5265 ויסעו And they journeyed H88 מאבת   H2583 ויחנו and pitched H5863 בעיי העברים at Ije-abarim, H4057 במדבר in the wilderness H834 אשׁר which H5921 על before H6440 פני before H4124 מואב Moab, H4217 ממזרח   H8121 השׁמשׁ׃  
  12 H8033 משׁם   H5265 נסעו they removed, H2583 ויחנו and pitched H5158 בנחל in the valley H2218 זרד׃ of Zared.
  13 H8033 משׁם   H5265 נסעו they removed, H2583 ויחנו and pitched H5676 מעבר on the other side H769 ארנון of Arnon, H834 אשׁר which H4057 במדבר in the wilderness H3318 היצא that cometh out H1366 מגבל of the coasts H567 האמרי of the Amorites: H3588 כי for H769 ארנון Arnon H1366 גבול the border H4124 מואב of Moab, H996 בין between H4124 מואב Moab H996 ובין   H567 האמרי׃ and the Amorites.
  14 H5921 על   H3651 כן   H559 יאמר it is said H5612 בספר in the book H4421 מלחמת of the wars H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H853 את   H2052 והב What he did H5492 בסופה in the Red sea, H853 ואת   H5158 הנחלים and in the brooks H769 ארנון׃ of Arnon,
  15 H793 ואשׁד And at the stream H5158 הנחלים of the brooks H834 אשׁר that H5186 נטה goeth down H3427 לשׁבת   H6144 ער of Ar, H8172 ונשׁען and lieth H1366 לגבול upon the border H4124 מואב׃ of Moab.
  16 H8033 ומשׁם   H876 בארה to Beer: H1931 הוא that H875 הבאר the well H834 אשׁר whereof H559 אמר spoke H3068 יהוה the LORD H4872 למשׁה unto Moses, H622 אסף   H853 את   H5971 העם   H5414 ואתנה and I will give H4325 להם מים׃ them water.
  17 H227 אז Then H7891 ישׁיר sang H3478 ישׂראל Israel H853 את   H7892 השׁירה song, H2063 הזאת this H5927 עלי Spring up, H875 באר O well; H6030 ענו׃ sing
  18 H875 באר the well, H2658 חפרוה digged H8269 שׂרים The princes H3738 כרוה digged H5081 נדיבי the nobles H5971 העם of the people H2710 במחקק it, by the lawgiver, H4938 במשׁענתם with their staves. H4057 וממדבר   H4980 מתנה׃ to Mattanah:
  19 H4980 וממתנה   H5160 נחליאל to Nahaliel: H5160 ומנחליאל   H1120 במות׃ to Bamoth:
  20 H1120 ומבמות   H1516 הגיא the valley, H834 אשׁר that H7704 בשׂדה in the country H4124 מואב of Moab, H7218 ראשׁ to the top H6449 הפסגה of Pisgah, H8259 ונשׁקפה which looketh H5921 על toward H6440 פני toward H3452 הישׁימן׃ Jeshimon.
  21 H7971 וישׁלח sent H3478 ישׂראל And Israel H4397 מלאכים messengers H413 אל unto H5511 סיחן Sihon H4428 מלך king H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H559 לאמר׃ saying,
  22 H5674 אעברה Let me pass H776 בארצך through thy land: H3808 לא we will not H5186 נטה turn H7704 בשׂדה into the fields, H3754 ובכרם or into the vineyards; H3808 לא we will not H8354 נשׁתה drink H4325 מי the waters H875 באר of the well: H1870 בדרך way, H4428 המלך by the king's H1980 נלך we will go along H5704 עד until H834 אשׁר until H5674 נעבר we be past H1366 גבלך׃ thy borders.
  23 H3808 ולא would not H5414 נתן suffer H5511 סיחן And Sihon H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel H5674 עבר to pass H1366 בגבלו through his border: H622 ויאסף   H5511 סיחן but Sihon H853 את   H3605 כל   H5971 עמו   H3318 ויצא and went out H7125 לקראת against H3478 ישׂראל Israel H4057 המדברה into the wilderness: H935 ויבא and he came H3096 יהצה to Jahaz, H3898 וילחם and fought H3478 בישׂראל׃ against Israel.
  24 H5221 ויכהו smote H3478 ישׂראל And Israel H6310 לפי him with the edge H2719 חרב of the sword, H3423 ויירשׁ and possessed H853 את   H776 ארצו his land H769 מארנן   H5704 עד unto H2999 יבק Jabbok, H5704 עד even unto H1121 בני the children H5983 עמון of Ammon: H3588 כי for H5794 עז strong. H1366 גבול the border H1121 בני of the children H5983 עמון׃ of Ammon
  25 H3947 ויקח took H3478 ישׂראל And Israel H853 את   H3605 כל all H5892 הערים cities: H428 האלה these H3427 וישׁב dwelt H3478 ישׂראל and Israel H3605 בכל in all H5892 ערי the cities H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H2809 בחשׁבון in Heshbon, H3605 ובכל and in all H1323 בנתיה׃ the villages
  26 H3588 כי For H2809 חשׁבון Heshbon H5892 עיר the city H5511 סיחן of Sihon H4428 מלך the king H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H1931 הוא who H1931 והוא   H3898 נלחם had fought H4428 במלך king H4124 מואב of Moab, H7223 הראשׁון against the former H3947 ויקח and taken H853 את   H3605 כל all H776 ארצו his land H3027 מידו out of his hand, H5704 עד even unto H769 ארנן׃ Arnon.
  27 H5921 על   H3651 כן   H559 יאמרו say, H4911 המשׁלים they that speak in proverbs H935 באו Come H2809 חשׁבון into Heshbon, H1129 תבנה be built H3559 ותכונן and prepared: H5892 עיר let the city H5511 סיחון׃ of Sihon
  28 H3588 כי For H784 אשׁ there is a fire H3318 יצאה gone out H2809 מחשׁבון   H3852 להבה a flame H7151 מקרית from the city H5511 סיחן of Sihon: H398 אכלה it hath consumed H6144 ער Ar H4124 מואב of Moab, H1167 בעלי the lords H1116 במות of the high places H769 ארנן׃ of Arnon.
  29 H188 אוי Woe H4124 לך מואב to thee, Moab! H6 אבדת thou art undone, H5971 עם O people H3645 כמושׁ of Chemosh: H5414 נתן he hath given H1121 בניו his sons H6412 פליטם that escaped, H1323 ובנתיו and his daughters, H7628 בשׁבית into captivity H4428 למלך king H567 אמרי of the Amorites. H5511 סיחון׃ unto Sihon
  30 H3384 ונירם We have shot H6 אבד is perished H2809 חשׁבון at them; Heshbon H5704 עד even unto H1769 דיבן Dibon, H8074 ונשׁים and we have laid them waste H5704 עד even unto H5302 נפח Nophah, H834 אשׁר which H5704 עד unto H4311 מידבא׃ Medeba.
  31 H3427 וישׁב dwelt H3478 ישׂראל Thus Israel H776 בארץ in the land H567 האמרי׃ of the Amorites.
  32 H7971 וישׁלח sent H4872 משׁה And Moses H7270 לרגל to spy out H853 את   H3270 יעזר Jaazer, H3920 וילכדו and they took H1323 בנתיה the villages H3423 ויירשׁ thereof, and drove out H853 את   H567 האמרי the Amorites H834 אשׁר that H8033 שׁם׃ there.
  33 H6437 ויפנו And they turned H5927 ויעלו and went up H1870 דרך by the way H1316 הבשׁן of Bashan: H3318 ויצא went out H5747 עוג and Og H4428 מלך the king H1316 הבשׁן of Bashan H7125 לקראתם against H1931 הוא them, he, H3605 וכל and all H5971 עמו his people, H4421 למלחמה to the battle H154 אדרעי׃ at Edrei.
  34 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H4872 משׁה Moses, H408 אל him not: H3372 תירא Fear H853 אתו   H3588 כי for H3027 בידך him into thy hand, H5414 נתתי I have delivered H853 אתו   H853 ואת   H3605 כל and all H5971 עמו his people, H853 ואת   H776 ארצו and his land; H6213 ועשׂית and thou shalt do H834 לו כאשׁר to him as H6213 עשׂית thou didst H5511 לסיחן unto Sihon H4428 מלך king H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H834 אשׁר which H3427 יושׁב dwelt H2809 בחשׁבון׃ at Heshbon.
  35 H5221 ויכו So they smote H853 אתו   H853 ואת   H1121 בניו him, and his sons, H853 ואת   H3605 כל and all H5971 עמו his people, H5704 עד until H1115 בלתי there was none H7604 השׁאיר left H8300 לו שׂריד him alive: H3423 ויירשׁו and they possessed H853 את   H776 ארצו׃ his land.
