Genesis 18 וירא appeared אליו unto יהוה And the LORD באלני him in the plains ממרא of Mamre: והוא and he ישׁב sat פתח door האהל in the tent כחם in the heat היום׃ of the day;

1 H7200 וירא appeared H413 אליו unto H3068 יהוה And the LORD H436 באלני him in the plains H4471 ממרא of Mamre: H1931 והוא and he H3427 ישׁב sat H6607 פתח door H168 האהל in the tent H2527 כחם in the heat H3117 היום׃ of the day;

2 H5375 וישׂא And he lifted up H5869 עיניו his eyes H7200 וירא and looked, H2009 והנה and, lo, H7969 שׁלשׁה three H376 אנשׁים men H5324 נצבים stood H5921 עליו by H7200 וירא him: and when he saw H7323 וירץ he ran H7125 לקראתם to meet H6607 מפתח H168 האהל H7812 וישׁתחו and bowed himself H776 ארצה׃ toward the ground,

3 H559 ויאמר And said, H113 אדני H518 אם if H4994 נא now H4672 מצאתי I have found H2580 חן favor H5869 בעיניך in thy sight, H408 אל pass not away, H4994 נא I pray thee, H5674 תעבר pass not away, H5921 מעל from H5650 עבדך׃ thy servant:

4 H3947 יקח be fetched, H4994 נא I pray you, H4592 מעט Let a little H4325 מים water, H7364 ורחצו and wash H7272 רגליכם your feet, H8172 והשׁענו and rest yourselves H8478 תחת under H6086 העץ׃ the tree:

5 H3947 ואקחה And I will fetch H6595 פת a morsel H3899 לחם of bread, H5582 וסעדו and comfort H3820 לבכם ye your hearts; H310 אחר after that H5674 תעברו ye shall pass on: H3588 כי for H5921 על therefore H3651 כן therefore H5674 עברתם are ye come H5921 על to H5650 עבדכם your servant. H559 ויאמרו And they said, H3651 כן So H6213 תעשׂה do, H834 כאשׁר as H1696 דברת׃ thou hast said.

6 H4116 וימהר hastened H85 אברהם And Abraham H168 האהלה into the tent H413 אל unto H8283 שׂרה Sarah, H559 ויאמר and said, H4116 מהרי Make ready quickly H7969 שׁלשׁ three H5429 סאים measures H7058 קמח meal, H5560 סלת of fine H3888 לושׁי knead H6213 ועשׂי and make H5692 עגות׃ cakes upon the hearth.

7 H413 ואל unto H1241 הבקר the herd, H7323 רץ ran H85 אברהם And Abraham H3947 ויקח and fetched H1121 בן a calf H1241 בקר a calf H7390 רך tender H2896 וטוב and good, H5414 ויתן and gave H413 אל unto H5288 הנער a young man; H4116 וימהר and he hasted H6213 לעשׂות to dress H853 אתו׃

8 H3947 ויקח And he took H2529 חמאה butter, H2461 וחלב and milk, H1121 ובן and the calf H1241 הבקר and the calf H834 אשׁר which H6213 עשׂה he had dressed, H5414 ויתן and set H6440 לפניהם before H1931 והוא them; and he H5975 עמד stood H5921 עליהם by H8478 תחת them under H6086 העץ the tree, H398 ויאכלו׃ and they did eat.

9 H559 ויאמרו And they said H413 אליו unto H346 איה him, Where H8283 שׂרה Sarah H802 אשׁתך thy wife? H559 ויאמר And he said, H2009 הנה Behold, H168 באהל׃ in the tent.

10 H559 ויאמר And he said, H7725 שׁוב H7725 אשׁוב H413 אליך unto H6256 כעת thee according to the time H2416 חיה of life; H2009 והנה and, lo, H1121 בן shall have a son. H8283 לשׂרה Sarah H802 אשׁתך thy wife H8283 ושׂרה And Sarah H8085 שׁמעת heard H6607 פתח door, H168 האהל in the tent H1931 והוא which H310 אחריו׃ behind

11 H85 ואברהם Now Abraham H8283 ושׂרה and Sarah H2205 זקנים old H935 באים well stricken H3117 בימים in age; H2308 חדל it ceased H1961 להיות to be H8283 לשׂרה with Sarah H734 ארח after the manner H802 כנשׁים׃ of women.

12 H6711 ותצחק laughed H8283 שׂרה Therefore Sarah H7130 בקרבה within H559 לאמר herself, saying, H310 אחרי After H1086 בלתי I am waxed old H1961 היתה shall I have H5730 לי עדנה pleasure, H113 ואדני my lord H2204 זקן׃ being old

13 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל unto H85 אברהם Abraham, H4100 למה H2088 זה H6711 צחקה laugh, H8283 שׂרה did Sarah H559 לאמר saying, H637 האף H552 אמנם H3205 אלד bear a child, H589 ואני which H2204 זקנתי׃ am old?

14 H6381 היפלא too hard H3068 מיהוה H1697 דבר Is any thing H4150 למועד At the time appointed H7725 אשׁוב I will return H413 אליך unto H6256 כעת thee, according to the time H2416 חיה of life, H8283 ולשׂרה and Sarah H1121 בן׃ shall have a son.

15 H3584 ותכחשׁ denied, H8283 שׂרה Then Sarah H559 לאמר saying, H3808 לא not; H6711 צחקתי I laughed H3588 כי for H3372 יראה she was afraid. H559 ויאמר And he said, H3808 לא Nay; H3588 כי but H6711 צחקת׃ thou didst laugh.

16 H6965 ויקמו rose up H8033 משׁם from thence, H582 האנשׁים H8259 וישׁקפו and looked H5921 על toward H6440 פני toward H5467 סדם Sodom: H85 ואברהם and Abraham H1980 הלך went H5973 עמם with H7971 לשׁלחם׃ them to bring them on the way.

17 H3068 ויהוה And the LORD H559 אמר said, H3680 המכסה hide H589 אני Shall I H85 מאברהם H834 אשׁר that thing which H589 אני I H6213 עשׂה׃ do;

18 H85 ואברהם Seeing that Abraham H1961 היו shall surely become H1961 יהיה shall surely become H1471 לגוי nation, H1419 גדול a great H6099 ועצום and mighty H1288 ונברכו shall be blessed H3605 בו כל and all H1471 גויי the nations H776 הארץ׃ of the earth

19 H3588 כי For H3045 ידעתיו I know H4616 למען him, that H834 אשׁר him, that H6680 יצוה he will command H853 את H1121 בניו his children H853 ואת H1004 ביתו and his household H310 אחריו after H8104 ושׁמרו him, and they shall keep H1870 דרך the way H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H6213 לעשׂות to do H6666 צדקה justice H4941 ומשׁפט and judgment; H4616 למען that H935 הביא may bring H3068 יהוה the LORD H5921 על upon H85 אברהם Abraham H853 את H834 אשׁר that which H1696 דבר he hath spoken H5921 עליו׃ of

20 H559 ויאמר said, H3068 יהוה And the LORD H2201 זעקת the cry H5467 סדם of Sodom H6017 ועמרה and Gomorrah H3588 כי Because H7227 רבה H2403 וחטאתם their sin H3588 כי and because H3513 כבדה grievous; H3966 מאד׃ is very

21 H3381 ארדה I will go down H4994 נא now, H7200 ואראה and see H6818 הכצעקתה according to the cry H935 הבאה of it, which is come H413 אלי unto H6213 עשׂו whether they have done H3617 כלה altogether H518 ואם me; and if H3808 לא not, H3045 אדעה׃ I will know.

22 H6437 ויפנו turned their faces H8033 משׁם from thence, H376 האנשׁים And the men H1980 וילכו and went H5467 סדמה toward Sodom: H85 ואברהם but Abraham H5750 עודנו yet H5975 עמד stood H6440 לפני before H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

23 H5066 ויגשׁ drew near, H85 אברהם And Abraham H559 ויאמר and said, H637 האף Wilt thou also H5595 תספה destroy H6662 צדיק the righteous H5973 עם with H7563 רשׁע׃ the wicked?

24 H194 אולי Peradventure H3426 ישׁ there be H2572 חמשׁים fifty H6662 צדיקם righteous H8432 בתוך within H5892 העיר the city: H637 האף wilt thou also H5595 תספה destroy H3808 ולא and not H5375 תשׂא spare H4725 למקום the place H4616 למען for H2572 חמשׁים the fifty H6662 הצדיקם righteous H834 אשׁר that H7130 בקרבה׃ therein?

25 H2486 חללה That be far H6213 לך מעשׂת from thee to do H1697 כדבר manner, H2088 הזה after this H4191 להמית to slay H6662 צדיק the righteous H5973 עם with H7563 רשׁע the wicked: H1961 והיה should be H6662 כצדיק and that the righteous H7563 כרשׁע as the wicked, H2486 חללה that be far H8199 לך השׁפט the Judge H3605 כל of all H776 הארץ the earth H3808 לא from thee: Shall not H6213 יעשׂה do H4941 משׁפט׃ right?

26 H559 ויאמר said, H3068 יהוה And the LORD H518 אם If H4672 אמצא I find H5467 בסדם in Sodom H2572 חמשׁים fifty H6662 צדיקם righteous H8432 בתוך within H5892 העיר the city, H5375 ונשׂאתי then I will spare H3605 לכל all H4725 המקום the place H5668 בעבורם׃ for their sakes.

27 H6030 ויען answered H85 אברהם And Abraham H559 ויאמר and said, H2009 הנה Behold H4994 נא now, H2974 הואלתי I have taken upon H1696 לדבר me to speak H413 אל unto H136 אדני the Lord, H595 ואנכי which H6083 עפר dust H665 ואפר׃ and ashes:

28 H194 אולי Peradventure H2637 יחסרון there shall lack H2572 חמשׁים of the fifty H6662 הצדיקם righteous: H2568 חמשׁה five H7843 התשׁחית wilt thou destroy H2568 בחמשׁה for five? H853 את H3605 כל all H5892 העיר the city H559 ויאמר And he said, H3808 לא I will not H7843 אשׁחית destroy H518 אם If H4672 אמצא I find H8033 שׁם there H705 ארבעים forty H2568 וחמשׁה׃ and five,

29 H3254 ויסף again, H5750 עוד him yet H1696 לדבר And he spoke H413 אליו unto H559 ויאמר and said, H194 אולי Peradventure H4672 ימצאון found H8033 שׁם there. H705 ארבעים there shall be forty H559 ויאמר And he said, H3808 לא I will not H6213 אעשׂה do H5668 בעבור H705 הארבעים׃

30 H559 ויאמר And he said H408 אל let not H4994 נא Oh H2734 יחר be angry, H136 לאדני the Lord H1696 ואדברה and I will speak: H194 אולי Peradventure H4672 ימצאון be found H8033 שׁם there. H7970 שׁלשׁים there shall thirty H559 ויאמר And he said, H3808 לא I will not H6213 אעשׂה do H518 אם if H4672 אמצא I find H8033 שׁם there. H7970 שׁלשׁים׃ thirty

31 H559 ויאמר And he said, H2009 הנה Behold H4994 נא now, H2974 הואלתי I have taken upon H1696 לדבר me to speak H413 אל unto H136 אדני the Lord: H194 אולי Peradventure H4672 ימצאון found H8033 שׁם there. H6242 עשׂרים there shall be twenty H559 ויאמר And he said, H3808 לא I will not H7843 אשׁחית destroy H5668 בעבור H6242 העשׂרים׃

32 H559 ויאמר And he said, H408 אל let not H4994 נא Oh H2734 יחר be angry, H136 לאדני the Lord H1696 ואדברה and I will speak H389 אך yet H6471 הפעם but this once: H194 אולי Peradventure H4672 ימצאון shall be found H8033 שׁם there. H6235 עשׂרה ten H559 ויאמר And he said, H3808 לא I will not H7843 אשׁחית destroy H5668 בעבור H6235 העשׂרה׃

33 H1980 וילך went his way, H3068 יהוה And the LORD H834 כאשׁר as soon as H3615 כלה he had left H1696 לדבר communing H413 אל with H85 אברהם Abraham: H85 ואברהם and Abraham H7725 שׁב returned H4725 למקמו׃ unto his place.
