  2 H6213 ויעשׂ And he did H7451 הרע evil H5869 בעיני in the sight H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H7535 רק but H3808 לא not H4428 כמלכי as the kings H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H834 אשׁר that H1961 היו were H6440 לפניו׃ before
  3 H5921 עליו Against H5927 עלה him came up H8022 שׁלמנאסר Shalmaneser H4428 מלך king H804 אשׁור of Assyria; H1961 ויהי became H1954 לו הושׁע and Hoshea H5650 עבד his servant, H7725 וישׁב and gave H4503 לו מנחה׃ him presents.
  4 H4672 וימצא found H4428 מלך And the king H804 אשׁור of Assyria H1954 בהושׁע in Hoshea: H7195 קשׁר conspiracy H834 אשׁר   H7971 שׁלח for he had sent H4397 מלאכים messengers H413 אל to H5471 סוא So H4428 מלך king H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H3808 ולא no H5927 העלה and brought H4503 מנחה present H4428 למלך to the king H804 אשׁור of Assyria, H8141 כשׁנה as year H8141 בשׁנה by year: H6113 ויעצרהו shut him up, H4428 מלך therefore the king H804 אשׁור of Assyria H631 ויאסרהו and bound H1004 בית him in prison. H3608 כלא׃ him in prison.
  5 H5927 ויעל came up H4428 מלך Then the king H804 אשׁור of Assyria H3605 בכל throughout all H776 הארץ the land, H5927 ויעל and went up H8111 שׁמרון to Samaria, H6696 ויצר and besieged H5921 עליה and besieged H7969 שׁלשׁ it three H8141 שׁנים׃ years.
  6 H8141 בשׁנת year H8671 התשׁיעית In the ninth H1954 להושׁע of Hoshea H3920 לכד took H4428 מלך the king H804 אשׁור of Assyria H853 את   H8111 שׁמרון Samaria, H1540 ויגל   H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל   H804 אשׁורה into Assyria, H3427 וישׁב and placed H853 אתם   H2477 בחלח them in Halah H2249 ובחבור and in Habor H5104 נהר the river H1470 גוזן of Gozan, H5892 וערי and in the cities H4074 מדי׃ of the Medes.
  7 H1961 ויהי For it was, H3588 כי that H2398 חטאו had sinned H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H3068 ליהוה against the LORD H430 אלהיהם their God, H5927 המעלה   H853 אתם   H776 מארץ out of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H8478 מתחת from under H3027 יד the hand H6547 פרעה of Pharaoh H4428 מלך king H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H3372 וייראו and had feared H430 אלהים gods, H312 אחרים׃ other
  8 H1980 וילכו And walked H2708 בחקות in the statutes H1471 הגוים of the heathen, H834 אשׁר whom H3423 הורישׁ cast out H3068 יהוה the LORD H6440 מפני from before H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H4428 ומלכי and of the kings H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H834 אשׁר which H6213 עשׂו׃ they had made.
  9 H2644 ויחפאו did secretly H1121 בני And the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H1697 דברים things H834 אשׁר that H3808 לא not H3651 כן right H5921 על against H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיהם their God, H1129 ויבנו and they built H1116 להם במות them high places H3605 בכל in all H5892 עריהם their cities, H4026 ממגדל from the tower H5341 נוצרים of the watchmen H5704 עד to H5892 עיר city. H4013 מבצר׃ the fenced
  10 H5324 ויצבו And they set them up H4676 להם מצבות images H842 ואשׁרים and groves H5921 על in H3605 כל every H1389 גבעה hill, H1364 גבהה high H8478 ותחת and under H3605 כל every H6086 עץ tree: H7488 רענן׃ green
  11 H6999 ויקטרו they burnt incense H8033 שׁם And there H3605 בכל in all H1116 במות the high places, H1471 כגוים as the heathen H834 אשׁר whom H1540 הגלה carried away H3068 יהוה the LORD H6440 מפניהם before H6213 ויעשׂו them; and wrought H1697 דברים things H7451 רעים wicked H3707 להכעיס to provoke H853 את   H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD
  12 H5647 ויעבדו For they served H1544 הגללים idols, H834 אשׁר whereof H559 אמר had said H3068 יהוה the LORD H3808 להם לא unto them, Ye shall not H6213 תעשׂו do H853 את   H1697 הדבר thing. H2088 הזה׃ this
  13 H5749 ויעד testified H3068 יהוה Yet the LORD H3478 בישׂראל against Israel, H3063 וביהודה and against Judah, H3027 ביד by H3605 כל all H5030 נביאו the prophets, H3605 כל all H2374 חזה the seers, H559 לאמר saying, H7725 שׁבו Turn H1870 מדרכיכם   H7451 הרעים   H8104 ושׁמרו and keep H4687 מצותי my commandments H2708 חקותי my statutes, H3605 ככל according to all H8451 התורה the law H834 אשׁר which H6680 צויתי I commanded H853 את   H1 אבתיכם your fathers, H834 ואשׁר and which H7971 שׁלחתי I sent H413 אליכם to H3027 ביד you by H5650 עבדי my servants H5030 הנביאים׃ the prophets.
  14 H3808 ולא Notwithstanding they would not H8085 שׁמעו hear, H7185 ויקשׁו but hardened H853 את   H6203 ערפם their necks, H6203 כערף like to the neck H1 אבותם of their fathers, H834 אשׁר that H3808 לא did not H539 האמינו believe H3068 ביהוה in the LORD H430 אלהיהם׃ their God.
  15 H3988 וימאסו And they rejected H853 את   H2706 חקיו his statutes, H853 ואת   H1285 בריתו and his covenant H834 אשׁר that H3772 כרת he made H854 את with H1 אבותם their fathers, H853 ואת   H5715 עדותיו and his testimonies H834 אשׁר which H5749 העיד he testified H1980 בם וילכו against them; and they followed H310 אחרי against them; and they followed H1892 ההבל vanity, H1891 ויהבלו and became vain, H310 ואחרי and went after H1471 הגוים the heathen H834 אשׁר that H5439 סביבתם round about H834 אשׁר them, whom H6680 צוה had charged H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 אתם   H1115 לבלתי them, that they should not H6213 עשׂות׃ do
  16 H5800 ויעזבו And they left H853 את   H3605 כל all H4687 מצות the commandments H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיהם their God, H6213 ויעשׂו and made H4541 להם מסכה them molten images, H8147 שׁנים two H5695 עגלים calves, H6213 ויעשׂו and made H842 אשׁירה a grove, H7812 וישׁתחוו and worshiped H3605 לכל all H6635 צבא the host H8064 השׁמים of heaven, H5647 ויעבדו and served H853 את   H1168 הבעל׃ Baal.
  17 H5674 ויעבירו to pass through H853 את   H1121 בניהם And they caused their sons H853 ואת   H1323 בנותיהם and their daughters H784 באשׁ the fire, H7080 ויקסמו and used H7081 קסמים divination H5172 וינחשׁו and enchantments, H4376 ויתמכרו and sold themselves H6213 לעשׂות to do H7451 הרע evil H5869 בעיני in the sight H3068 יהוה of the LORD, H3707 להכעיסו׃ to provoke him to anger.
  18 H599 ויתאנף was very angry H3068 יהוה Therefore the LORD H3966 מאד was very angry H3478 בישׂראל with Israel, H5493 ויסרם and removed H5921 מעל them out of H6440 פניו his sight: H3808 לא there was none H7604 נשׁאר left H7535 רק but H7626 שׁבט the tribe H3063 יהודה of Judah H905 לבדו׃ only.
  19 H1571 גם Also H3063 יהודה Judah H3808 לא not H8104 שׁמר kept H853 את   H4687 מצות the commandments H3068 יהוה of the LORD H430 אלהיהם their God, H1980 וילכו but walked H2708 בחקות in the statutes H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H834 אשׁר which H6213 עשׂו׃ they made.
  20 H3988 וימאס rejected H3068 יהוה And the LORD H3605 בכל all H2233 זרע the seed H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H6031 ויענם and afflicted H5414 ויתנם them, and delivered H3027 ביד them into the hand H8154 שׁסים of spoilers, H5704 עד until H834 אשׁר until H7993 השׁליכם he had cast them out H6440 מפניו׃ of his sight.
  21 H3588 כי For H7167 קרע he rent H3478 ישׂראל Israel H5921 מעל from H1004 בית the house H1732 דוד of David; H4427 וימליכו king: H853 את   H3379 ירבעם and they made Jeroboam H1121 בן the son H5028 נבט of Nebat H5077 וידא   H3379 ירבעם and Jeroboam H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel H310 מאחרי from following H3068 יהוה the LORD, H2398 והחטיאם and made them sin H2401 חטאה sin. H1419 גדולה׃ a great
  22 H1980 וילכו walked H1121 בני For the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H3605 בכל in all H2403 חטאות the sins H3379 ירבעם of Jeroboam H834 אשׁר which H6213 עשׂה he did; H3808 לא not H5493 סרו they departed H4480 ממנה׃ from
  23 H5704 עד unto H834 אשׁר as H5493 הסיר removed H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel H5921 מעל out of H6440 פניו his sight, H834 כאשׁר   H1696 דבר he had said H3027 ביד by H3605 כל all H5650 עבדיו his servants H5030 הנביאים the prophets. H1540 ויגל carried away H3478 ישׂראל So was Israel H5921 מעל out of H127 אדמתו their own land H804 אשׁורה to Assyria H5704 עד   H3117 היום day. H2088 הזה׃ this
  24 H935 ויבא brought H4428 מלך And the king H804 אשׁור of Assyria H894 מבבל   H3575 ומכותה   H5755 ומעוא   H2574 ומחמת   H5617 וספרוים and from Sepharvaim, H3427 וישׁב and placed H5892 בערי in the cities H8111 שׁמרון of Samaria H8478 תחת instead H1121 בני of the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel: H3423 וירשׁו and they possessed H853 את   H8111 שׁמרון Samaria, H3427 וישׁבו and dwelt H5892 בעריה׃ in the cities
  25 H1961 ויהי And it was H8462 בתחלת at the beginning H3427 שׁבתם of their dwelling H8033 שׁם there, H3808 לא not H3372 יראו they feared H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD: H7971 וישׁלח sent H3068 יהוה therefore the LORD H853 בהם את   H738 האריות lions H1961 ויהיו   H2026 הרגים׃ among them, which slew
  26 H559 ויאמרו Wherefore they spoke H4428 למלך to the king H804 אשׁור of Assyria, H559 לאמר saying, H1471 הגוים The nations H834 אשׁר which H1540 הגלית thou hast removed, H3427 ותושׁב and placed H5892 בערי in the cities H8111 שׁמרון of Samaria, H3808 לא not H3045 ידעו know H853 את   H4941 משׁפט the manner H430 אלהי of the God H776 הארץ of the land: H7971 וישׁלח therefore he hath sent H853 בם את   H738 האריות lions H2009 והנם among them, and, behold, H4191 ממיתים they slay H853 אותם   H834 כאשׁר them, because H369 אינם not H3045 ידעים they know H853 את   H4941 משׁפט the manner H430 אלהי of the God H776 הארץ׃ of the land.
  27 H6680 ויצו commanded, H4428 מלך Then the king H804 אשׁור of Assyria H559 לאמר saying, H1980 הליכו Carry H8033 שׁמה thither H259 אחד one H3548 מהכהנים of the priests H834 אשׁר whom H1540 הגליתם ye brought H8033 משׁם from thence; H1980 וילכו and let them go H3427 וישׁבו and dwell H8033 שׁם there, H3384 וירם and let him teach H853 את   H4941 משׁפט them the manner H430 אלהי of the God H776 הארץ׃ of the land.
  28 H935 ויבא came H259 אחד Then one H3548 מהכהנים of the priests H834 אשׁר whom H1540 הגלו they had carried away H8111 משׁמרון   H3427 וישׁב and dwelt H1008 בבית אל in Bethel, H1961 ויהי   H3384 מורה and taught H853 אתם   H349 איך them how H3372 ייראו they should fear H853 את   H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.
  29 H1961 ויהיו   H6213 עשׂים made H1471 גוי every nation H1471 גוי every nation H430 אלהיו gods H3240 ויניחו   H1004 בבית in the houses H1116 הבמות of the high places H834 אשׁר which H6213 עשׂו had made, H8118 השׁמרנים the Samaritans H1471 גוי   H1471 גוי   H5892 בעריהם in their cities H834 אשׁר wherein H1992 הם they H3427 ישׁבים dwelt. H8033 שׁם׃ wherein
  30 H376 ואנשׁי And the men H894 בבל of Babylon H6213 עשׂו made H853 את   H5524 סכות בנות Succothbenoth, H376 ואנשׁי and the men H3575 כות of Cuth H6213 עשׂו made H853 את   H5370 נרגל Nergal, H376 ואנשׁי and the men H2574 חמת of Hamath H6213 עשׂו made H853 את   H807 אשׁימא׃ Ashima,
  31 H5757 והעוים   H6213 עשׂו made H5026 נבחז Nibhaz H853 ואת   H8662 תרתק and Tartak, H5616 והספרוים   H8313 שׂרפים burnt H853 את   H1121 בניהם their children H784 באשׁ in fire H152 לאדרמלך to Adrammelech H6048 וענמלך and Anammelech, H433 אלה   H5617 ספרים׃ and the Sepharvites
  32 H1961 ויהיו   H3372 יראים   H853 את   H3069 יהוה   H6213 ויעשׂו and made H1992 להם   H7098 מקצותם unto themselves of the lowest H3548 כהני of them priests H1116 במות of the high places, H1961 ויהיו   H6213 עשׂים which sacrificed H1992 להם   H1004 בבית for them in the houses H1116 הבמות׃ of the high places.
  33 H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD, H1961 היו and served H3372 יראים   H853 ואת   H430 אלהיהם their own gods, H1961 היו   H5647 עבדים and served H4941 כמשׁפט after the manner H1471 הגוים of the nations H834 אשׁר   H1540 הגלו they carried away H853 אתם   H8033 משׁם׃ from thence.
  34 H5704 עד Unto H3117 היום day H2088 הזה this H1992 הם they H6213 עשׂים do H4941 כמשׁפטים manners: H7223 הראשׁנים after the former H369 אינם not H3372 יראים they fear H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD, H369 ואינם neither H6213 עשׂים do H2708 כחקתם they after their statutes, H4941 וכמשׁפטם or after their ordinances, H8451 וכתורה or after the law H4687 וכמצוה and commandment H834 אשׁר which H6680 צוה commanded H3068 יהוה the LORD H853 את   H1121 בני the children H3290 יעקב of Jacob, H834 אשׁר whom H7760 שׂם he named H8034 שׁמו he named H3478 ישׂראל׃ Israel;
  35 H3772 ויכרת had made H3068 יהוה whom the LORD H854 אתם With H1285 ברית a covenant, H6680 ויצום and charged H559 לאמר them, saying, H3808 לא Ye shall not H3372 תיראו fear H430 אלהים gods, H312 אחרים other H3808 ולא nor H7812 תשׁתחוו bow yourselves H3808 להם ולא to them, nor H5647 תעבדום serve H3808 ולא them, nor H2076 תזבחו׃ sacrifice
  36 H3588 כי   H518 אם   H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD, H834 אשׁר who H5927 העלה   H853 אתכם   H776 מארץ out of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt H3581 בכח power H1419 גדול with great H2220 ובזרוע arm, H5186 נטויה and a stretched out H853 אתו   H3372 תיראו him shall ye fear, H7812 ולו תשׁתחוו and him shall ye worship, H2076 ולו תזבחו׃ and to him shall ye do sacrifice.
  37 H853 ואת   H2706 החקים And the statutes, H853 ואת   H4941 המשׁפטים and the ordinances, H8451 והתורה and the law, H4687 והמצוה and the commandment, H834 אשׁר which H3789 כתב he wrote H8104 לכם תשׁמרון for you, ye shall observe H6213 לעשׂות to do H3605 כל forevermore; H3117 הימים forevermore; H3808 ולא and ye shall not H3372 תיראו fear H430 אלהים gods. H312 אחרים׃ other
  38 H1285 והברית And the covenant H834 אשׁר that H3772 כרתי I have made H854 אתכם with H3808 לא you ye shall not H7911 תשׁכחו forget; H3808 ולא neither H3372 תיראו shall ye fear H430 אלהים gods. H312 אחרים׃ other
  39 H3588 כי   H518 אם   H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD H430 אלהיכם your God H3372 תיראו ye shall fear; H1931 והוא and he H5337 יציל shall deliver H853 אתכם   H3027 מיד you out of the hand H3605 כל of all H341 איביכם׃ your enemies.
  40 H3808 ולא Howbeit they did not H8085 שׁמעו hearken, H3588 כי but H518 אם but H4941 כמשׁפטם manner. H7223 הראשׁון after their former H1992 הם they H6213 עשׂים׃ did
  41 H1961 ויהיו feared H1471 הגוים nations H428 האלה So these H3372 יראים feared H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD, H853 ואת   H6456 פסיליהם their graven images, H1961 היו   H5647 עבדים and served H1571 גם both H1121 בניהם their children, H1121 ובני and their children's H1121 בניהם children: H834 כאשׁר as H6213 עשׂו did H1 אבתם their fathers, H1992 הם they H6213 עשׂים so do H5704 עד unto H3117 היום day. H2088 הזה׃ this
