455-1161 ανοίξαντες δε but having opened 2080 έσω [³inside 3762 ουδένα ²no one 2147 εύρομεν ¹we found].   5:24   5613-1161 ως δε And as 191 ήκουσαν they heard 3588 τους   3056-3778 λόγους τούτους these words, 3588-5037 ο τε both the 2409 ιερεύς priest 2532 και and 3588 ο the 4755 στρατηγός commandant 3588 του of the 2413 ιερού temple 2532 και and 3588 οι the 749 αρχιερείς chief priests 1280 διηπόρουν were perplexed 4012 περί concerning 1473 αυτών them, 5100-302 τι αν whatever 1096-3778 γένοιτο τούτο this might be.   5:25   3854-1161 παραγενόμενος δε And having come, 5100 τις a certain one 518 απήγγειλεν reported 1473 αυτοίς to them, 3004 λέγων saying 3754 ότι that, 2400 ιδού Behold, 3588 οι the 435 άνδρες men 3739 ους whom 5087 έθεσθε you put 1722 εν in 3588 τη the 5438 φυλακή prison 1510.2.6 εισίν are 1722 εν in 3588 τω the 2413 ιερώ temple 2476 εστώτες standing 2532 και and 1321 διδάσκοντες teaching 3588 τον the 2992 λαόν people.   5:26   5119 τότε Then 565 απελθών [³having gone forth 3588 ο ¹the 4755 στρατηγός ²commandant] 4862 συν with 3588 τοις the 5257 υπηρέταις officers 71 ήγαγεν led 1473 αυτούς them, 3756 ου not 3326 μετά with 970 βίας force; 5399-1063 εφοβούντο γαρ for they feared 3588 τον the 2992 λαόν people, 2443 ίνα that 3361 μη they should not 3034 λιθασθώσιν be stoned.   5:27   71-1161 αγαγόντες δε And having brought 1473 αυτούς them, 2476 έστησαν they stood them 1722 εν in 3588 τω the 4892 συνεδρίω sanhedrin; 2532 και and 1905 επηρώτησεν [³asked 1473 αυτούς ⁴them 3588 ο ¹the 749 αρχιερεύς ²chief priest],   5:28   3004 λέγων saying, 3756 ου Was it not 3852 παραγγελία with an exhortation 3853 παρηγγείλαμεν we exhorted 1473 υμίν to you 3361 μη to not 1321 διδάσκειν teach 1909 επί in 3588 τω   3686-3778 ονόματι τούτω this name? 2532 και And 2400 ιδού behold, 4137 πεπληρώκατε you have filled 3588 την   * Ιερουσαλήμ Jerusalem 3588 της   1322-1473 διδαχής υμών with your teaching, 2532 και and 1014 βούλεσθε you want 1863 επαγαγείν to bring 1909 εφ΄ upon 1473 ημάς us 3588 το the 129 αίμα blood 3588 του   444-3778 ανθρώπου τούτου of this man.   5:29   611-1161 αποκριθείς δε And answering * Πέτρος Peter 2532 και and 3588 οι the 652 απόστολοι apostles 2036 είπον said, 3980 πειθαρχείν [²to yield obedience 1163 δει ¹It is necessary] 2316 θεώ to God 3123 μάλλον rather 2228 η than 444 ανθρώποις men.   5:30   3588 ο The 2316 θεός God 3588 των   3962-1473 πατέρων ημών of our fathers 1453 ήγειρεν raised * Ιησούν Jesus, 3739 ον whom 1473 υμείς you 1315 διεχειρίσασθε laid hands upon 2910 κρεμάσαντες having hanged 1909 επί upon 3586 ξύλου a tree.   5:31   3778 τούτον This one -- 3588 ο   2316 θεός God, 747 αρχηγόν chief 2532 και and 4990 σωτήρα deliverer, 5312 ύψωσε exalted 3588 τη by 1188-1473 δεξιά αυτού his right hand, 1325 δούναι to give 3341 μετάνοιαν repentance 3588 τω   * Ισραήλ to Israel 2532 και and 859 άφεσιν release 266 αμαρτιών of sins.   5:32   2532 και And 1473 ημείς we 1510.2.4 εσμεν are 1473 αυτού his 3144 μάρτυρες witnesses 3588 των   4487-3778 ρημάτων τούτων of these things; 2532 και [²also 3588 το ³the 4151 πνεύμα ⁵spirit 1161 δε ¹but 3588 το   39 άγιον ⁴holy], 3739 ο which 1325-3588-2316 έδωκεν ο θεός God gave 3588 τοις to the ones 3980 πειθαρχούσιν yielding obedience 1473 αυτώ to him.   5:33   3588-1161 οι δε And the ones 191 ακούσαντες hearing 1282 διεπρίοντο were sawed through, 2532 και and 1011 εβουλεύοντο they consulted 337 ανελείν to do away with 1473 αυτούς them.   5:34   450-1161 αναστάς δε And having risen up, 5100 τις a certain one 1722 εν in 3588 τω the 4892 συνεδρίω sanhedrin, * Φαρισαίος a Pharisee, 3686 ονόματι by name * Γαμαλιήλ Gamaliel, 3547 νομοδιδάσκαλος a teacher of the law, 5093 τίμιος esteemed 3956 παντί by all 3588 τω the 2992 λαώ people, 2753 εκέλευσεν urged 1854 έξω [⁴outside 1024-5100 βραχύ τι ⁵a little while 3588 τους ¹the 652 αποστόλους ²apostles 4160 ποιήσαι ³to be made to go].   5:35   2036-5037 είπέ τε And he said 4314 προς to 1473 αυτούς them, 435 άνδρες Men, * Ισραηλίται Israelites, 4337 προσέχετε take heed 1438 εαυτοίς to yourselves 1909 επί over 3588 τοις   444-3778 ανθρώποις τούτοις these men 5100 τι what 3195 μέλλετε you are about 4238 πράσσειν to act!   5:36   4253-1063 προ γαρ For before 3778 τούτων these 3588 των   2250 ημερών days 450-* ανέστη Θευδάς Theudas rose up, 3004 λέγων naming 1510.1 είναί [²to be 5100 τινα ³somebody 1438 εαυτόν ¹himself], 3739 ω in whom 4345.1 προσεκλήθη [³leaned towards 706 αριθμός ¹a number 435 ανδρών ²of men], 5616 ωσεί about 5071 τετρακοσίων four hundred, 3739 ος who 337 ανηρέθη were done away with; 2532 και and 3956 πάντες all 3745 όσοι as many as 3982 επείθοντο were persuaded 1473 αυτώ by him, 1262 διελύθησαν were parted, 2532 και and 1096 εγένοντο came 1519 εις to 3762 ουδέν nothing.   5:37   3326 μετά After 3778 τούτον this 450 ανέστη [⁴rose up * Ιούδας ¹Judas 3588 ο ²the * Γαλιλαίος ³Galilean] 1722 εν in 3588 ταις the 2250 ημέραις days 3588 της of the 582 απογραφής census, 2532 και and 868 απέστησε he separated 2992 λαόν [²of people 2425 ικανόν ¹a fit amount] 3694 οπίσω to go after 1473 αυτού him; 2548 κακείνος and that one 622 απώλετο perished; 2532 και and 3956 πάντες all 3745 όσοι as many as 3982 επείθοντο were persuaded 1473 αυτώ by him, 1287 διεσκορπίσθησαν were dispersed.   5:38   2532 και And 3569 τα νυν at present 3004 λέγω I say 1473 υμίν to you, 868 απόστητε abstain 575 από from 3588 των   444-3778 ανθρώπων τούτων these men, 2532 και and 1439 εάσατε allow 1473 αυτούς them! 3754 ότι for 1437 εάν if 1510.3 η [²should be 1537 εξ ³of 444 ανθρώπων ⁴men 3588 η   1012-1473 βουλή αυτη ¹this counsel], 2228 η then 3588 το   2041-3778 έργον τούτο this work 2647 καταλυθήσεται will be broken up.   5:39   1487-1161 ει δε But if 1537 εκ [²of 2316 θεού ³God 1510.2.3 εστιν ¹it is], 3756-1410 ου δύνασθε you will not be able 2647-1473 καταλύσαι αυτό to break it up, 3379 μήποτε lest at any time 2532 και even 2314 θεομάχοι [²as fighters against God 2147 ευρεθήτε ¹you be found].   5:40   3982-1161 επείσθησαν δε And they were persuaded 1473 αυτώ by him. 2532 και And 4341 προσκαλεσάμενοι having called 3588 τους the 652 αποστόλους apostles, 1194 δείραντες having flayed them, 3853 παρήγγειλαν they exhorted them 3361 μη to not 2980 λαλείν speak 1909 επί in 3588 τω the 3686 ονόματι name 3588 του   * Ιησού of Jesus, 2532 και and 630 απέλυσαν they released 1473 αυτούς them.   5:41   3588 οι   3303 μεν Indeed 3767 ούν then 4198 επορεύοντο they went 5463 χαίροντες rejoicing 575 από from 4383 προσώπου in front 3588 του of the 4892 συνεδρίου sanhedrin, 3754 ότι that 2661 κατηξιώθησαν they were deemed worthy 5228 υπέρ for 3588 του the 3686 ονόματος name 3588 του   * Ιησού of Jesus 818 ατιμασθήναι to be dishonored.   5:42   3956-5037 πάσάν τε And every 2250 ημέραν day 1722 εν in 3588 τω the 2413 ιερώ temple, 2532 και and 2596 κατ΄ by 3624 οίκον house, 3756-3973 ουκ επαύοντο they ceased not 1321 διδάσκοντες teaching 2532 και and 2097 ευαγγελιζόμενοι announcing good news * Ιησούν of Jesus 3588 τον the 5547 χριστόν Christ.
