But so did not I, and that because of the fear of God. 16 I laboured also in the work upon the wall, and bought no land. And all my servants came thither together unto the work. 17 Moreover there were at my table a hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, which came unto me, from among the Heathen that are about us. 18 And there was prepared me daily an ox, and six chosen sheep, and birds, and once in every ten days a great sum of wine. Croatian(i) 14 I od dana kad mi je kralj naredio da budem upravitelj u zemlji Judinoj, od dvadesete do trideset i druge godine kraljevanja Artakserksa, za dvanaest godina ja i moja braća nismo nikada jeli upraviteljskog kruha. 15 Ali prijašnji upravitelji, moji prethodnici, ugnjetavahu narod: svakoga su dana od njega uzimali četrdeset šekela srebra za kruh; i njihove su sluge ugnjetavale narod. A ja nisam nikada tako činio, zbog straha Božjega. 16 Čak sam se jednako držao posla oko zida i nisam kupio ni jedne njive! Selama waktu itu aku dan saudara-saudaraku tidak pernah mengambil tunjanganku sebagai gubernur. 15 Gubernur-gubernur sebelum aku, telah menjadi beban bagi rakyat sebab mereka menuntut 40 uang perak sehari untuk makanan dan anggur. Bahkan, pegawai-pegawai mereka juga menindas rakyat. Tetapi aku tidak mau berbuat begitu karena aku takut kepada Allah. 16 Segala tenagaku kucurahkan kepada pembangunan tembok dan aku tidak mendapat tanah sedikit pun sebagai imbalan, walaupun semua pembantuku ikut bekerja pada pembangunan itu. 17 Seratus lima puluh orang Yahudi dan para pemuka mereka biasa kujamu makan di rumahku, belum terhitung tamu-tamu dari bangsa-bangsa tetangga kami. 18 Setiap hari kusediakan atas biayaku sendiri seekor sapi, enam ekor domba yang gemuk dan banyak ayam. Italian(i) 14 Eziandio dal dì che il re mi ordinò per esser lor governatore nel paese di Giuda, cioè, dall’anno ventesimo del re Artaserse, fino all’anno trentaduesimo, che son dodici anni, io ed i miei fratelli non mangiammo della provvisione assegnata al governatore. 15 Benchè i precedenti governatori ch’erano stati davanti a me, avessero gravato il popolo, e avessero presa quella da lui, in pane ed in vino; e dipoi in quaranta sicli d’argento; e che anche i lor servitori avessero signoreggiato sopra il popolo; ma io non feci così, per lo timor di Dio. 16 Ed anche io ristorai la parte mia in questo lavoro delle mura, e non acquistammo alcuna possessione; e tutti i miei servitori erano quivi adunati per l’opera. 17 Oltre a ciò, cencinquant’uomini de’ Giudei e de’ magistrati, e quelli che venivano a noi dalle genti ch’erano d’intorno a noi, erano alla mia tavola. 18 Or quello che mi si apparecchiava per giorno era un bue e sei montoni scelti; mi si apparecchiava ancora dell’uccellame; e di dieci in dieci giorni queste cose si apparecchiavano con ogni sorta di vini copiosamente; e pure, con tutto ciò, io non domandai la provvisione assegnata al governatore; perciocchè quella servitù sarebbe stata grave a questo popolo. 19 Ricordati, o Dio mio, di me in bene, per tutto quello che io ho fatto inverso questo popolo.

Korean(i) 14 내가 유다 땅 총독으로 세움을 받을 때 곧 아닥사스다왕 이십년부터 삼십 이년까지 십이년동안은 나와 내 형제가 총독의 녹을 먹지 아니하였느니라 15 이전 총독들은 백성에게 토색하여 양식과 포도주와 또 은 사십 세겔을 취하였고 그 종자들도 백성을 압제하였으나 나는 하나님을 경외하므로 이같이 행치 아니하고 16 도리어 이 성 역사에 힘을 다하며 땅을 사지 아니하였고 나의 모든 종자도 모여서 역사를 하였으며 17 또 내 상에는 유다 사람들과 민장들 일백 오십인이 있고 그 외에도 우리 사면 이방인 중에서 우리에게 나아온 자들이 있었는데 18 매일 나를 위하여 소 하나와 살진 양 여섯을 준비하며 닭도 많이 준비하고 열흘에 한 번씩은 각종 포도주를 갖추었나니 비록 이같이 하였을지라도 내가 총독의 녹을 요구하지 아니하였음은 백성의 부역이 중함이니라 19 내 하나님이여, 내가 이 백성을 위하여 행한 모든 일을 생각하시고 내게 은혜를 베푸시옵소서 !
Lithuanian(i) 14 Nuo tos dienos, kai buvau paskirtas valdytoju Judo krašte, nuo dvidešimtųjų iki trisdešimt antrųjų karaliaus Artakserkso metų, dvylika metų aš su savo broliais nevalgiau valdytojo duonos. 15 Valdytojai, buvę iki manęs, skriaudė žmones, imdami iš jų duonos ir vyno ir keturiasdešimt šekelių sidabro; taip pat ir jų tarnai išnaudojo tautą, bet aš taip nedariau, bijodamas Dievo. 16 Aš taip pat tęsiau darbą prie sienos ir neįsigijau jokios nuosavybės; visi mano tarnai irgi dirbo prie statybos. 17 Be to, šimtas penkiasdešimt žydų ir viršininkų valgė prie mano stalo, neskaičiuojant svetimų tautų žmonių, kurie apsilankydavo pas mus. 18 Kasdien man paruošdavo vieną jautį, šešias rinktines avis ir paukščių; kas dešimtą dieną gausiai pristatydavo visokio vyno; aš nereikalaudavau valdytojo duonos, nes skurdas sunkiai slėgė tautą. 19 Mano Dieve, priskaityk mano naudai visa, ką padariau šiai tautai!

Portuguese(i) 14 Além disso, desde o dia em que fui nomeado seu governador na terra de Judá, desde o ano vinte até o anos trinta e dois do rei Artaxerxes, isto é, por doze anos, nem eu nem meus irmãos comemos o pão devido ao governador. 15 Mas os primeiros governadores, que foram antes de mim, oprimiram o povo, e tomaram-lhe pão e vinho e, além disso, quarenta siclos de prata; e até os seus moços dominavam sobre o povo. Porém eu assim não fiz, por causa do temor de Deus. 16 Também eu prossegui na obra deste muro, e terra nenhuma compramos; e todos os meus moços se ajuntaram ali para a obra. 17 Sentavam-se à minha mesa cento e cinquenta homens dentre os judeus e os magistrados, além dos que vinham ter connosco dentre as nações que estavam ao redor de nós. 18 Ora, o que se preparava para cada dia era um boi e seis ovelhas escolhidas; também se preparavam aves e, de dez em dez dias, provisão de toda qualidade de vinho. Eu n'am făcut aşa, din frică de Dumnezeu. 16 Ba, mai mult, am lucrat la dregerea zidului acestuia, n'am cumpărat niciun ogor, şi toţi slujitorii mei erau la lucru. 17 Aveam la masă o sută cincizeci de oameni, Iudei şi dregători, afară de ceice veneau la noi din neamurile deprimprejur. 18 Mi se pregătea în fiecare zi un bou, şase berbeci aleşi, şi păsări, şi la fiecare zece zile se pregătea din belşug tot vinul care era de trebuinţă. Ukrainian(i) 14 Також від дня, коли цар наказав мені бути їхнім намісником в Юдиному краї від року двадцятого й аж до року тридцять другого царя Артаксеркса, дванадцять літ не їв намісничого хліба ані я, ані брати мої. 15 А намісники попередні, що були передо мною, чинили тяжке над народом, і брали від них хлібом та вином одного дня сорок шеклів срібла; також їхні слуги панували над народом. А я не робив так через страх Божий. 16 також у праці того муру я підтримував, і поля не купували ми, а всі мої слуги були зібрані там над працею. 17 А за столом моїм були юдеї та заступники, сто й п'ятдесят чоловіка, та й ті, хто приходив до нас із народів, що навколо нас. 18 А що готовилося на один день, було: віл один, худоби дрібної шестеро вибраних, і птиця готувалася в мене, а за десять день виходило багато всякого вина. А при тому я не жадав намісничого хліба, бо та робота направи мурів була тяжка на тому народі. 19 Запам'ятай же мені, Боже мій, на добре все те, що я робив для цього народу!
