Deuteronomy 2 Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the LORD spoke to me: and we went around mount Seir many days.

2 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] spoke H559 [H8800] to me, saying,

3 H5437 [H8800] Ye have gone around H2022 this mountain H7227 long enough: H6437 [H8798] turn H6828 northward.

4 H6680 [H8761] And command H5971 thou the people, H559 [H8800] saying, H5674 [H8802] Ye are to pass H1366 through the land H251 of your brethren H1121 the sons H6215 of Esau, H3427 [H8802] who dwell H8165 in Seir; H3372 [H8799] and they shall be afraid H3966 of you: therefore take ye good H8104 [H8738] heed to yourselves:

5 H1624 [H8691] Meddle H5414 [H8799] not with them; for I will not give H776 you of their land, H7272 no, not so much as a foot H4096 H3709 breadth; H5414 [H8804] because I have given H2022 mount H8165 Seir H6215 to Esau H3425 for a possession.

6 H7666 [H8799] Ye shall buy H400 food H3701 of them for money, H398 [H8804] that ye may eat; H3739 [H8799] and ye shall also buy H4325 water H3701 of them for money, H8354 [H8804] that ye may drink.

7 H3068 For the LORD H430 thy God H1288 [H8765] hath blessed H4639 thee in all the works H3027 of thine hand: H3045 [H8804] he knoweth H3212 [H8800] thy walking H1419 through this great H4057 wilderness: H705 these forty H8141 years H3068 the LORD H430 thy God H2637 [H8804] hath been with thee; thou hast lacked H1697 nothing.

8 H5674 [H8799] And when we passed H251 by from our brethren H1121 the sons H6215 of Esau, H3427 [H8802] who dwelt H8165 in Seir, H1870 through the way H6160 of the plain H359 from Elath, H6100 and from Eziongaber, H6437 [H8799] we turned H5674 [H8799] and passed H1870 by the way H4057 of the wilderness H4124 of Moab.

9 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H6696 [H8799] to me, Distress H4124 not the Moabites, H1624 [H8691] neither contend H4421 with them in battle: H5414 [H8799] for I will not give H776 thee of their land H3425 for a possession; H5414 [H8804] because I have given H6144 Ar H1121 to the sons H3876 of Lot H3425 for a possession.

10 H368 The Emims H3427 [H8804] dwelt H6440 in it in times past, H5971 a people H1419 great, H7227 and many, H7311 [H8802] and tall, H6062 as the Anakims;

11 H1992 Who H2803 [H8735] also were accounted H7497 giants, H6062 as the Anakims; H4125 but the Moabites H7121 [H8799] call H368 them Emims.

16 H582 So it came to pass, when all the men H4421 of war H8552 [H8804] were consumed H4191 [H8800] and dead H7130 from among H5971 the people,

17 H3068 That the LORD H1696 [H8762] spoke H559 [H8800] to me, saying,

18 H5674 [H8802] Thou art to pass over H6144 through Ar, H1366 the border H4124 of Moab, H3117 this day:

19 H7126 H4136 [H8804] And when thou comest near H1121 the sons H5983 of Ammon, H6696 [H8799] distress H1624 [H8691] them not, nor meddle H5414 [H8799] with them: for I will not give H776 thee of the land H1121 of the sons H5983 of Ammon H3425 any possession; H5414 [H8804] because I have given H1121 it to the sons H3876 of Lot H3425 for a possession.

20 H2803 [H8735] (That also was accounted H776 a land H7497 of giants: H7497 giants H3427 [H8804] dwelt H6440 there in times past; H5984 and the Ammonites H7121 [H8799] call H2157 them Zamzummims;

25 H3117 This day H2490 [H8686] will I begin H5414 [H8800] to put H6343 the dread H3374 of thee and the fear H6440 H5971 of thee upon the peoples H8064 that are under the whole heaven, H8085 [H8799] who shall hear H8088 report H7264 [H8804] of thee, and shall tremble, H2342 [H8804] and be in anguish H6440 because of thee.

26 H7971 [H8799] And I sent H4397 messengers H4057 from the wilderness H6932 of Kedemoth H5511 to Sihon H4428 king H2809 of Heshbon H1697 with words H7965 of peace, H559 [H8800] saying,

27 H5674 [H8799] Let me pass H776 through thy land: H3212 [H8799] I will go H1870 along by the highway, H5493 [H8799] I will neither turn H3225 to the right hand H8040 nor to the left.

28 H7666 [H8686] Thou shalt sell H400 me food H3701 for money, H398 [H8804] that I may eat; H5414 [H8799] and give H4325 me water H3701 for money, H8354 [H8804] that I may drink: H5674 [H8799] only I will pass through H7272 on my feet;

29 H1121 (As the sons H6215 of Esau H3427 [H8802] who dwell H8165 in Seir, H4125 and the Moabites H3427 [H8802] who dwell H6144 in Ar, H6213 [H8804] did H5674 [H8799] to me;) until I shall pass over H3383 Jordan H776 into the land H3068 which the LORD H430 our God H5414 [H8802] giveth us.

30 H5511 But Sihon H4428 king H2809 of Heshbon H14 [H8804] would H5674 [H8687] not let us pass H3068 by him: for the LORD H430 thy God H7185 [H8689] hardened H7307 his spirit, H3824 and made his heart H553 [H8765] alert, H5414 [H8800] that he might give H3027 him into thine hand, H3117 as appeareth this day.

31 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H7200 [H8798] to me, Behold, H2490 [H8689] I have begun H5414 [H8800] to give H5511 Sihon H776 and his land H6440 at the face of H2490 [H8685] thee: begin H3423 [H8798] to possess, H3423 [H8800] that thou mayest possess H776 his land.

32 H5511 Then Sihon H3318 [H8799] came out H7125 [H8800] against H5971 us, he and all his people, H4421 to fight H3096 at Jahaz.

33 H3068 And the LORD H430 our God H5414 [H8799] gave H6440 him at the face of H5221 [H8686] us; and we smote H1121 him, and his sons, H5971 and all his people.

34 H3920 [H8799] And we took H5892 all his cities H6256 at that time, H2763 [H8686] and utterly secluded H4962 the men, H802 and the women, H2945 and the little ones, H5892 of every city, H7604 [H8689] we left H8300 none to remain:

35 H929 Only the cattle H962 [H8804] we took for a prey H7998 to ourselves, and the spoil H5892 of the cities H3920 [H8804] which we took.

36 H6177 From Aroer, H8193 which is by the brink H5158 of the river H769 of Arnon, H5892 and from the city H5158 that is by the river, H1568 even to Gilead, H7151 there was not one city H7682 [H8804] too strong H3068 for us: the LORD H430 our God H5414 [H8804] gave H6440 all to us:

37 H776 Only to the land H1121 of the sons H5983 of Ammon H7126 [H8804] thou camest H3027 not, nor to any place H5158 of the river H2999 Jabbok, H5892 nor to the cities H2022 on the mountains, H3068 nor to whatever the LORD H430 our God H6680 [H8765] forbad us.
