1 G2532 And G756 [G5662] he began G3825 again G1321 [G5721] to teach G3844 by G2281 the sea side: G2532 and G4863 [G5681] there was gathered G4314 to G846 him G4183 a great G3793 crowd, G5620 so that G846 he G1684 [G5631] entered G1519 into G4143 a boat, G2521 [G5738] and sat G1722 on G2281 the sea; G2532 and G3956 the whole G3793 crowd G2258 [G5713] was G4314 by G2281 the sea G1909 on G1093 the land.

2 G2532 And G1321 [G5707] he taught G846 them G4183 many things G1722 by G3850 parables, G2532 and G3004 [G5707] said G846 to them G1722 in G846 his G1322 teaching,

3 G191 [G5720] { Hearken; G2400 [G5628] Behold, G4687 [G5723] a sower G1831 [G5627] went out G4687 [G5658] to sow:}

4 G2532 { And G1096 [G5633] it came to pass, G1722 as G4687 [G5721] he sowed, G3739 G3303 some G4098 [G5627] fell G3844 by G3598 the way side, G2532 and G4071 the fowls G3772 of the air G2064 [G5627] came G2532 and G2719 0 devoured G846 G2719 [G5627] it.}

5 G1161 { And G243 some G4098 [G5627] fell G1909 on G4075 stony ground, G3699 where G2192 [G5707] it had G3756 not G4183 much G1093 earth; G2532 and G2112 immediately G1816 [G5656] it sprang up, G1223 because G2192 [G5721] it had G3361 no G899 depth G1093 of earth:}

6 G1161 { But G393 0 when G2246 the sun G393 [G5660] had risen, G2739 [G5681] it was scorched; G2532 and G1223 because G2192 [G5721] it had G3361 no G4491 root, G3583 [G5681] it withered away.}

7 G2532 { And G243 some G4098 [G5627] fell G1519 among G173 thorns, G2532 and G173 the thorns G305 [G5627] grew up, G2532 and G4846 [G5656] choked G846 it, G2532 and G1325 [G5656] it yielded G3756 no G2590 fruit.}

8 G2532 { And G243 other G4098 [G5627] fell G1519 on G2570 good G1093 ground, G2532 and G1325 [G5707] yielded G2590 fruit G305 [G5723] that sprang up G2532 and G837 [G5723] increased; G2532 and G5342 [G5707] brought forth, G1520 some G5144 thirty, G2532 and G1520 some G1835 sixty, G2532 and G1520 some G1540 an hundred.}

9 G2532 And G3004 [G5707] he said G846 to them, G2192 [G5723] { He that hath G3775 ears G191 [G5721] to hear, G191 [G5720] let him hear.}

10 G1161 And G3753 when G1096 [G5633] he was G2651 alone, G4012 they that were about G846 him G4862 with G1427 the twelve G2065 [G5656] asked G846 of him G3850 the parable.

11 G2532 And G3004 [G5707] he said G846 to them, G5213 { To you G1325 [G5769] it is given G1097 [G5629] to know G3466 the mystery G932 of the kingdom G2316 of God: G1161 but G1565 to them G1854 that are outside, G3956 all these things G1096 [G5736] are done G1722 in G3850 parables:}

12 G2443 { That G991 [G5723] seeing G991 [G5725] they may see, G2532 and G3361 not G1492 [G5632] perceive; G2532 and G191 [G5723] hearing G191 [G5725] they may hear, G2532 and G3361 not G4920 [G5725] understand; G3379 lest at any time G1994 [G5661] they should be converted, G2532 and G265 their sins G863 [G5686] should be forgiven G846 them.}

13 G2532 And G3004 [G5719] he said G846 to them, G1492 [G5758] { Know ye G3756 not G5026 this G3850 parable? G2532 and G4459 how then G1097 [G5695] will ye know G3956 all G3850 parables?}

14 G4687 [G5723] { The sower G4687 [G5719] soweth G3056 the word.}

15 G1161 { And G3778 these G1526 [G5748] are they G3844 by G3598 the way side, G3699 where G3056 the word G4687 [G5743] is sown; G2532 but G3752 when G191 [G5661] they have heard, G3588 the G4567 adversary G2064 [G5736] cometh G2112 immediately, G2532 and G142 [G5719] taketh away G3056 the word G4687 [G5772] that was sown G1722 in G846 their G2588 hearts.}

16 G2532 { And G3778 these G1526 [G5748] are they G3668 likewise G4687 [G5746] who are sown G1909 on G4075 stony ground; G3739 who, G3752 when G191 [G5661] they have heard G3056 the word, G2112 immediately G2983 [G5719] receive G846 it G3326 with G5479 gladness;}

17 G2532 { And G2192 [G5719] have G3756 no G4491 root G1722 in G1438 themselves, G235 but G1526 [G5748] are G4340 temporary: G1534 afterward, G2347 when affliction G2228 or G1375 persecution G1096 [G5637] happens G1223 for G3056 the word's sake, G2112 immediately G4624 [G5743] they are caused to stumble.}

18 G2532 { And G3778 these G1526 [G5748] are G1526 [G5748] they who are G4687 [G5746] sown G1519 among G173 thorns; G3778 such as G191 [G5723] hear G3056 the word,}

19 G2532 { And G3308 the cares G5127 of this G165 age, G2532 and G539 the deceitfulness G4149 of riches, G2532 and G1939 the lusts G4012 of G3062 other things G1531 [G5740] entering in, G4846 [G5719] choke G3056 the word, G2532 and G1096 [G5736] it becometh G175 unfruitful.}

20 G2532 { And G3778 these G1526 [G5748] are G4687 [G5651] they who are sown G1909 on G2570 good G1093 ground; G3748 such as G191 [G5719] hear G3056 the word, G2532 and G3858 [G5736] receive G2532 it, and G2592 [G5719] bring forth fruit, G1520 some G5144 thirtyfold, G2532 G1520 some G1835 sixty, G2532 and G1520 some G1540 an hundred.}

21 G2532 And G3004 [G5707] he said G846 to them, G3385 { Whether at all G3088 a lamp G2064 [G5736] is brought G2443 to G5087 [G5686] be put G5259 under G3426 a basket, G2228 or G5259 under G2825 a bed? G3756 and not G2443 to G2007 [G5686] be set G1909 on G3087 a lampstand?}

22 G1063 { For G2076 [G5748] there is G3756 nothing G2927 G5100 hid, G3739 which G5319 0 shall G3362 not G5319 [G5686] be revealed; G3761 neither G1096 [G5633] hath any thing been kept G614 secret, G235 but G2443 that G2064 [G5632] it should come G1519 G5318 to light.}

23 G1536 { If any man G2192 [G5719] hath G3775 ears G191 [G5721] to hear, G191 [G5720] let him hear.}

24 G2532 And G3004 [G5707] he said G846 to them, G991 [G5720] { Take heed G5101 what G191 [G5719] ye hear: G1722 with G3739 the G3358 measure G3354 [G5719] which ye measure, G3354 [G5701] it shall be measured G5213 to you: G2532 and G5213 to you G191 [G5723] that hear G4369 [G5701] shall more be given.}

25 G1063 G302 { For G3739 he that G2192 [G5725] hath, G846 to him G1325 [G5701] shall be given: G2532 and G3739 he that G2192 [G5719] hath G3756 not, G575 from G846 him G142 [G5701] shall be taken G2532 even G3739 that which G2192 [G5719] he hath.}

26 G2532 And G3004 [G5707] he said, G3779 { So G2076 [G5748] is G932 the kingdom G2316 of God, G5613 as G1437 if G444 a man G906 [G5632] should cast G4703 seed for sowing G1909 into G1093 the ground;}

27 G2532 { And G2518 [G5725] should sleep, G2532 and G1453 [G5747] rise G3571 night G2532 and G2250 day, G2532 and G4703 the seed for sowing G985 [G5725] should spring G2532 and G3373 [G5747] grow up, G846 he G1492 [G5758] knoweth G3756 not G5613 how.}

28 G1063 { For G1093 the earth G2592 [G5719] bringeth forth fruit G844 automatically; G4412 first G5528 the blade, G1534 then G4719 the ears of corn, G1534 after that G4134 the ripe G4621 grain G1722 in G4719 the ears of corn.}

29 G1161 { But G3752 when G2590 the fruit G3860 [G5632] is brought forth, G2112 immediately G649 [G5719] he putteth in G1407 the sickle, G3754 because G2326 the harvest G3936 [G5758] is come.}

30 G2532 And G3004 [G5707] he said, G5101 { To what G3666 [G5661] shall we liken G932 the kingdom G2316 of God? G2228 or G1722 with G4169 what G3850 comparison G3846 [G5632] shall we compare G846 it?}

31 G5613 { It is like G2848 a kernel G4615 of mustard seed, G3739 which, G3752 when G4687 [G5652] it is sown G1909 in G1093 the earth, G3398 is less G3956 than all G4690 the seeds G2076 [G5748] that are G1909 in G1093 the earth:}

32 G2532 { But G3752 when G4687 [G5652] it is sown, G305 [G5719] it groweth up, G2532 and G1096 [G5736] becometh G3187 greater than G3956 all G3001 herbs, G2532 and G4160 [G5719] shooteth out G3173 great G2798 branches; G5620 so that G4071 the fowls G3772 of the air G1410 [G5738] may G2681 [G5721] lodge G5259 under G846 its G4639 shadow.}

33 G2532 And G4183 with many G5108 such G3850 parables G2980 [G5707] he spoke G3056 the word G846 to them, G2531 as G1410 [G5711] they were able G191 [G5721] to hear it.

34 G1161 But G5565 without G3850 a parable G2980 [G5707] he spoke G3756 not G846 to them: G1161 and G2398 G2596 when they were alone, G1956 [G5707] he expounded G3956 all things G846 to his G3101 disciples.

35 G2532 And G1722 the G1565 same G2250 day, G3798 when the evening G1096 [G5637] was come, G3004 [G5719] he saith G846 to them, G1330 [G5632] { Let us pass over G1519 to G4008 the other side.}

36 G2532 And G863 [G5631] when they had sent away G3793 the crowd, G3880 [G5719] they took G846 him G5613 even as G2258 [G5713] he was G1722 in G4143 the boat. G1161 And G2258 [G5713] there were G2532 also G3326 with G846 him G243 other G4142 little boats.

37 G2532 And G1096 [G5736] there cometh G3173 a great G2978 tempest G417 of wind, G1161 and G3588 the G2949 waves G1911 [G5707] cast upon G1519 into G3588 the G4143 boat, G5620 so that G846 it G1072 0 was G2235 already G1072 [G5745] filling.

38 G2532 And G846 he G2258 [G5713] was G1909 upon G3588 the G4403 stern of the boat, G2518 [G5723] asleep G1909 upon G4344 a pillow: G2532 and G1326 [G5719] they awake G846 him, G2532 and G3004 [G5719] say G846 to him, G1320 Teacher, G3199 [G5719] carest G4671 thou G3756 not G3754 that G622 [G5731] we perish?

39 G2532 And G1326 [G5685] he arose, G2008 [G5656] and rebuked G417 the wind, G2532 and G2036 [G5627] said G2281 to the sea, G4623 [G5720] { Be silent, G5392 [G5770] be muzzled. G2532 } And G417 the wind G2869 [G5656] ceased, G2532 and G1096 [G5633] there was G3173 a great G1055 calm.

40 G2532 And G2036 [G5627] he said G846 to them, G5101 { Why G2075 [G5748] are ye G3779 so G1169 timid? G4459 how is it G2192 [G5719] that ye have G3756 no G4102 faith?}

41 G2532 And G5399 [G5675] they feared G3173 a great G5401 fear, G2532 and G3004 [G5707] said G240 0 one G4314 to G240 another, G5101 What G686 manner of man G2076 [G5748] is G3778 this, G3754 that G2532 even G417 the wind G2532 and G2281 the sea G5219 [G5719] obey G846 him?
