Croatian⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁷ Iste se noći Bog ukaza Salomonu i reče mu: "Traži što da ti dadem." ⁸ Salomon odgovori: "Veoma si naklon bio mome ocu Davidu i zakraljio si mene na njegovo mjesto. ⁹ Bože Jahve, neka se ispuni sada obećanje što si ga dao mome ocu Davidu, jer si me zakraljio nad narodom kojega ima mnogo kao zemaljske prašine. ¹⁰ Daj mi sada mudrost i znanje da uzmognem upravljati ovim narodom, jer tko će upravljati tolikim narodom kao što je ovaj tvoj!" ¹¹ Bog reče Salomonu: "Budući da ti je to u srcu, a nisi iskao ni bogatstva, ni blaga, ni slave, ni smrti neprijatelja i jer nisi tražio duga života nego mudrosti i znanja kako bi upravljao mojim narodom nad kojim te zakraljih, ¹² dajem ti mudrost i znanje. Ali ti dajem i bogatstva, blaga i slave kakve nije imao nijedan kralj što bješe prije tebe i kakve neće imati ni oni koji dođu poslije tebe."

Nes Tu padarei mane karaliumi žmonių, kurių yra kaip žemės dulkių. ¹⁰ Duok man išminties ir pažinimo, kad galėčiau įeiti ir išeiti prieš šitą tautą. Norwegian⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁷ Samme natt åpenbarte Gud sig for Salomo og sa til ham: Bed om det du vil jeg skal gi dig! ⁸ Salomo svarte Gud: Du har vist stor miskunnhet mot min far David og gjort mig til konge i hans sted. ⁹ Så la nu, Herre Gud, ditt ord til min far David bli sannhet! For du har gjort mig til konge over et folk som er like så tallrikt som støvet på jorden. ¹⁰ Gi mig nu visdom og kunnskap, så jeg kan være leder og fører for dette folk! For hvem kunde ellers dømme dette ditt folk som er så stort? ¹¹ Da sa Gud til Salomo: Efterdi det var dette som lå dig på hjerte, og du ikke har bedt om rikdom, skatter og ære eller dine fienders død og heller ikke om et langt liv, men har bedt om visdom og kunnskap, så du kan dømme mitt folk, som jeg har gjort dig til konge over, ¹² så er visdom og kunnskap gitt dig, og jeg vil også gi dig rikdom og skatter og ære, som hverken de konger som har vært før dig har hatt, eller de som kommer efter dig skal ha maken til.

Romanian⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁷ În timpul nopţii, Dumnezeu S'a arătat lui Solomon, şi i -a zis:,,Cere ce vrei să-ţi dau.`` ⁸ Solomon a răspuns lui Dumnezeu:,,Tu ai arătat o mare bunăvoinţă tatălui meu David, şi m'ai pus să domnesc în locul lui. ⁹ Acum, Doamne Dumnezeule, împlinească-se făgăduinţa Ta, făcută tatălui meu David, fiindcă m'ai pus să domnesc peste un popor mare la număr ca pulberea pămîntului! ¹⁰ Dă-mi dar înţelepciune şi pricepere, ca să ştiu cum să mă port în fruntea acestui popor! Căci cine ar putea să judece pe poporul Tău, pe poporul acesta atît de mare?`` ¹¹ Dumnezeu a zis lui Solomon:,,Fiindcă dorinţa aceasta este în inima ta, fiindcă nu ceri nici bogăţii, nici averi, nici slavă, nici moartea vrăjmaşilor tăi, nici chiar o viaţă lungă, ci ceri pentru tine înţelepciune şi pricepere ca să judeci pe poporul Meu, peste care te-am pus să domneşti, ¹² Înţelepciunea şi priceperea îţi sînt date. Îţi voi da, pe deasupra, bogăţii, averi şi slavă, cum n'a mai avut niciodată niciun împărat înaintea ta, şi cum nici nu va mai avea după tine.``

Ukrainian⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁷ Тієї ночі явився Бог Соломонові та й сказав йому: Зажадай, чого дати тобі! ⁸ І сказав Соломон до Бога: Ти зробив був велику милість з батьком моїм Давидом, і настановив царем мене замість нього. ⁹ Тепер, Господи, Боже, нехай буде виповнене слово Твоє до батька мого Давида, бо Ти настановив мене царем над народом численним, як порох землі. ¹⁰ Дай тепер мені мудрість та знання, щоб умів я виходити й входити перед цим народом, бо хто зможе судити цей великий Твій народ? ¹¹ І сказав Бог до Соломона: За те, що оце було на серці твоїм, і ти не жадав багатства, маєтків та слави, ані душі ворогів своїх, а також довгих днів не жадав ти, а жадав для себе мудрости та знання, щоб судити народ Мій, над яким Я настановив тебе царем, ¹² то дасться тобі мудрість та знання, а багатство, і маєтки та славу Я дам тобі такі, яких не було між царями перед тобою, і по тобі не буде таких!
