9 H6213 But I wrought [H8799] H8034 for my name's H2490 sake, that it should not be polluted [H8736] H5869 before H1471 the heathen H8432 , among H5869 whom they were, in whose sight H3045 I made myself known [H8738] H3318 unto them, in bringing them forth [H8687] H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt.

10 H3318 Wherefore I caused them to go forth [H8686] H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt H935 , and brought [H8686] H4057 them into the wilderness.

11 H5414 And I gave [H8799] H2708 them my statutes H3045 , and shewed [H8689] H4941 them my judgments H120 , which if a man H6213 do [H8799] H2425 , he shall even live [H8804] in them.

12 H5414 Moreover also I gave [H8804] H7676 them my sabbaths H226 , to be a sign H3045 between me and them, that they might know [H8800] H3068 that I am the LORD H6942 that sanctify [H8764] them.

13 H1004 But the house H3478 of Israel H4784 rebelled [H8686] H4057 against me in the wilderness H1980 : they walked [H8804] H2708 not in my statutes H3988 , and they despised [H8804] H4941 my judgments H120 , which if a man H6213 do [H8799] H2425 , he shall even live [H8804] H7676 in them; and my sabbaths H3966 they greatly H2490 polluted [H8765] H559 : then I said [H8799] H8210 , I would pour out [H8800] H2534 my fury H4057 upon them in the wilderness H3615 , to consume [H8763] them.

14 H6213 But I wrought [H8799] H8034 for my name's H2490 sake, that it should not be polluted [H8736] H5869 before H1471 the heathen H5869 , in whose sight H3318 I brought them out [H8689] .

15 H5375 Yet also I lifted up [H8804] H3027 my hand H4057 unto them in the wilderness H935 , that I would not bring [H8687] H776 them into the land H5414 which I had given [H8804] H2100 them, flowing [H8802] H2461 with milk H1706 and honey H6643 , which is the glory H776 of all lands;

16 H3988 Because they despised [H8804] H4941 my judgments H1980 , and walked [H8804] H2708 not in my statutes H2490 , but polluted [H8765] H7676 my sabbaths H3820 : for their heart H1980 went [H8802] H310 after H1544 their idols.

17 H5869 Nevertheless mine eye H2347 spared [H8799] H7843 them from destroying [H8763] H6213 them, neither did I make [H8804] H3617 an end H4057 of them in the wilderness.

18 H559 But I said [H8799] H1121 unto their children H4057 in the wilderness H3212 , Walk [H8799] H2706 ye not in the statutes H1 of your fathers H8104 , neither observe [H8799] H4941 their judgments H2930 , nor defile [H8691] H1544 yourselves with their idols:

19 H3068 I am the LORD H430 your God H3212 ; walk [H8798] H2708 in my statutes H8104 , and keep [H8798] H4941 my judgments H6213 , and do [H8798] them;

20 H6942 And hallow [H8761] H7676 my sabbaths H226 ; and they shall be a sign H3045 between me and you, that ye may know [H8800] H3068 that I am the LORD H430 your God.

21 H1121 Notwithstanding the children H4784 rebelled [H8686] H1980 against me: they walked [H8804] H2708 not in my statutes H8104 , neither kept [H8804] H4941 my judgments H6213 to do [H8800] H120 them, which if a man H6213 do [H8799] H2425 , he shall even live [H8804] H2490 in them; they polluted [H8765] H7676 my sabbaths H559 : then I said [H8799] H8210 , I would pour out [H8800] H2534 my fury H3615 upon them, to accomplish [H8763] H639 my anger H4057 against them in the wilderness.

22 H7725 Nevertheless I withdrew [H8689] H3027 mine hand H6213 , and wrought [H8799] H8034 for my name's H2490 sake, that it should not be polluted [H8736] H5869 in the sight H1471 of the heathen H5869 , in whose sight H3318 I brought them forth [H8689] .

23 H5375 I lifted up [H8804] H3027 mine hand H4057 unto them also in the wilderness H6327 , that I would scatter [H8687] H1471 them among the heathen H2219 , and disperse [H8763] H776 them through the countries;

24 H6213 Because they had not executed [H8804] H4941 my judgments H3988 , but had despised [H8804] H2708 my statutes H2490 , and had polluted [H8765] H7676 my sabbaths H5869 , and their eyes H310 were after H1 their fathers H1544 ' idols.

25 H5414 Wherefore I gave [H8804] H2706 them also statutes H2896 that were not good H4941 , and judgments H2421 whereby they should not live [H8799] ;

26 H2930 And I polluted [H8762] H4979 them in their own gifts H5674 , in that they caused to pass through [H8687] H6363 the fire all that openeth H7356 the womb H8074 , that I might make them desolate [H8686] H3045 , to the end that they might know [H8799] H3068 that I am the LORD.

28 H935 For when I had brought [H8686] H776 them into the land H5375 , for the which I lifted up [H8804] H3027 mine hand H5414 to give [H8800] H7200 it to them, then they saw [H8799] H7311 every high [H8802] H1389 hill H5687 , and all the thick H6086 trees H2076 , and they offered [H8799] H2077 there their sacrifices H5414 , and there they presented [H8799] H3708 the provocation H7133 of their offering H7760 : there also they made [H8799] H5207 their sweet H7381 savour H5258 , and poured out [H8686] H5262 there their drink offerings.

29 H559 Then I said [H8799] H1116 unto them, What is the high place H935 whereunto ye go [H8802] H8034 ? And the name H7121 thereof is called [H8735] H1117 Bamah H3117 unto this day.

30 H559 Wherefore say [H8798] H1004 unto the house H3478 of Israel H559 , Thus saith [H8804] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H2930 ; Are ye polluted [H8737] H1870 after the manner H1 of your fathers H2181 ? and commit ye whoredom [H8802] H310 after H8251 their abominations?

31 H5375 For when ye offer [H8800] H4979 your gifts H1121 , when ye make your sons H5674 to pass through [H8687] H784 the fire H2930 , ye pollute [H8737] H1544 yourselves with all your idols H3117 , even unto this day H1875 : and shall I be enquired [H8735] H1004 of by you, O house H3478 of Israel H2416 ? As I live H5002 , saith [H8803] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H1875 , I will not be enquired [H8735] of by you.

32 H5927 And that which cometh [H8802] H7307 into your mind H559 shall not be at all, that ye say [H8802] H1961 , We will be [H8799] H1471 as the heathen H4940 , as the families H776 of the countries H8334 , to serve [H8763] H6086 wood H68 and stone.

33 H2416 As I live H5002 , saith [H8803] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H2389 , surely with a mighty H3027 hand H5186 , and with a stretched out [H8803] H2220 arm H2534 , and with fury H8210 poured out [H8803] H4427 , will I rule [H8799] over you:

34 H3318 And I will bring you out [H8689] H5971 from the people H6908 , and will gather [H8765] H776 you out of the countries H6327 wherein ye are scattered [H8738] H2389 , with a mighty H3027 hand H5186 , and with a stretched out [H8803] H2220 arm H2534 , and with fury H8210 poured out [H8803] .

35 H935 And I will bring [H8689] H4057 you into the wilderness H5971 of the people H8199 , and there will I plead [H8738] H6440 with you face H6440 to face.

36 H8199 Like as I pleaded [H8738] H1 with your fathers H4057 in the wilderness H776 of the land H4714 of Egypt H8199 , so will I plead [H8735] H5002 with you, saith [H8803] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD.

37 H5674 And I will cause you to pass [H8689] H7626 under the rod H935 , and I will bring [H8689] H4562 you into the bond H1285 of the covenant:

38 H1305 And I will purge out [H8804] H4775 from among you the rebels [H8802] H6586 , and them that transgress [H8802] H3318 against me: I will bring them forth [H8686] H776 out of the country H4033 where they sojourn H935 , and they shall not enter [H8799] H127 into the land H3478 of Israel H3045 : and ye shall know [H8804] H3068 that I am the LORD.

39 H1004 As for you, O house H3478 of Israel H559 , thus saith [H8804] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H3212 ; Go [H8798] H5647 ye, serve [H8798] H376 ye every one H1544 his idols H310 , and hereafter H8085 also, if ye will not hearken [H8802] H2490 unto me: but pollute [H8762] H6944 ye my holy H8034 name H4979 no more with your gifts H1544 , and with your idols.

40 H6944 For in mine holy H2022 mountain H2022 , in the mountain H4791 of the height H3478 of Israel H5002 , saith [H8803] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD H1004 , there shall all the house H3478 of Israel H776 , all of them in the land H5647 , serve [H8799] H7521 me: there will I accept [H8799] H1875 them, and there will I require [H8799] H8641 your offerings H7225 , and the firstfruits H4864 of your oblations H6944 , with all your holy things.

41 H7521 I will accept [H8799] H5207 you with your sweet H7381 savour H3318 , when I bring you out [H8687] H5971 from the people H6908 , and gather [H8765] H776 you out of the countries H6327 wherein ye have been scattered [H8738] H6942 ; and I will be sanctified [H8738] H5869 in you before H1471 the heathen.

42 H3045 And ye shall know [H8804] H3068 that I am the LORD H935 , when I shall bring [H8687] H127 you into the land H3478 of Israel H776 , into the country H5375 for the which I lifted up [H8804] H3027 mine hand H5414 to give [H8800] H1 it to your fathers.

43 H2142 And there shall ye remember [H8804] H1870 your ways H5949 , and all your doings H2930 , wherein ye have been defiled [H8738] H6962 ; and ye shall lothe [H8738] H6440 yourselves in your own sight H7451 for all your evils H6213 that ye have committed [H8804] .

44 H3045 And ye shall know [H8804] H3068 that I am the LORD H6213 , when I have wrought [H8800] H8034 with you for my name's H7451 sake, not according to your wicked H1870 ways H7843 , nor according to your corrupt [H8737] H5949 doings H1004 , O ye house H3478 of Israel H5002 , saith [H8803] H136 the Lord H3069 GOD.

11 H5414 ואתן And I gave H853 להם את H2708 חקותי them my statutes, H853 ואת H4941 משׁפטי them my judgments, H3045 הודעתי and showed H853 אותם H834 אשׁר which H6213 יעשׂה H853 אותם H120 האדם a man H2425 וחי׃

23 H1571 גם unto them also H589 אני I H5375 נשׂאתי lifted up H853 את H3027 ידי mine hand H4057 להם במדבר in the wilderness, H6327 להפיץ that I would scatter H853 אתם H1471 בגוים them among the heathen, H2219 ולזרות and disperse H853 אותם H776 בארצות׃ them through the countries;

24 H3282 יען Because H4941 משׁפטי my judgments, H3808 לא they had not H6213 עשׂו executed H2708 וחקותי my statutes, H3988 מאסו but had despised H853 ואת H7676 שׁבתותי my sabbaths, H2490 חללו and had polluted H310 ואחרי after H1544 גלולי idols. H1 אבותם their fathers' H1961 היו were H5869 עיניהם׃ and their eyes

25 H1571 וגם them also H589 אני Wherefore I H5414 נתתי gave H2706 להם חקים statutes H3808 לא not H2896 טובים good, H4941 ומשׁפטים and judgments H3808 לא whereby they should not H2421 יחיו׃ live;

26 H2930 ואטמא And I polluted H853 אותם H4979 במתנותם them in their own gifts, H5674 בהעביר in that they caused to pass through H3605 כל all H6363 פטר that openeth H7356 רחם the womb, H4616 למען that H8074 אשׁמם I might make them desolate, H4616 למען to the end H834 אשׁר that H3045 ידעו they might know H834 אשׁר that H589 אני I H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

27 H3651 לכן Therefore, H1696 דבר speak H413 אל unto H1004 בית the house H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H1121 בן son H120 אדם of man, H559 ואמרת and say H413 אליהם unto H3541 כה them, Thus H559 אמר saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD; H5750 עוד Yet H2063 זאת in this H1442 גדפו have blasphemed H853 אותי H1 אבותיכם your fathers H4604 במעלם a trespass H4603 בי מעל׃ me, in that they have committed

28 H935 ואביאם when I had brought H413 אל them into H776 הארץ the land, H834 אשׁר the which H5375 נשׂאתי I lifted up H853 את H3027 ידי mine hand H5414 לתת to give H853 אותה H7200 להם ויראו it to them, then they saw H3605 כל every H1389 גבעה hill, H7311 רמה high H3605 וכל and all H6086 עץ trees, H5687 עבת the thick H2076 ויזבחו and they offered H8033 שׁם there H853 את H2077 זבחיהם their sacrifices, H5414 ויתנו they presented H8033 שׁם and there H3708 כעס the provocation H7133 קרבנם of their offering: H7760 וישׂימו also they made H8033 שׁם there H7381 ריח savor, H5207 ניחוחיהם their sweet H5258 ויסיכו and poured out H8033 שׁם there H853 את H5262 נסכיהם׃ their drink offerings.

29 H559 ואמר Then I said H413 אלהם unto H4100 מה them, What H1116 הבמה the high place H834 אשׁר whereunto H859 אתם ye H935 הבאים go? H8033 שׁם whereunto H7121 ויקרא thereof is called H8034 שׁמה And the name H1117 במה Bamah H5704 עד unto H3117 היום day. H2088 הזה׃ this

30 H3651 לכן Wherefore H559 אמר say H413 אל unto H1004 בית the house H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H3541 כה Thus H559 אמר saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD; H1870 הבדרך after the manner H1 אבותיכם of your fathers? 33 H2416 חי live, H589 אני I H5002 נאם saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD, H518 אם surely H3808 לא surely H3027 ביד hand, H2389 חזקה with a mighty H2220 ובזרוע arm, H5186 נטויה and with a stretched out H2534 ובחמה and with fury H8210 שׁפוכה poured out, H4427 אמלוך will I rule H5921 עליכם׃ over

34 H3318 והוצאתי H853 אתכם H4480 מן from H5971 העמים the people, H6908 וקבצתי and will gather H853 אתכם H4480 מן you out of H776 הארצות the countries H834 אשׁר wherein H6327 נפוצתם ye are scattered, H3027 בם ביד hand, H2389 חזקה with a mighty H2220 ובזרוע arm, H5186 נטויה and with a stretched out H2534 ובחמה and with fury H8210 שׁפוכה׃ poured out.

35 H935 והבאתי And I will bring H853 אתכם H413 אל you into H4057 מדבר the wilderness H5971 העמים of the people, H8199 ונשׁפטתי will I plead H854 אתכם with H8033 שׁם and there H6440 פנים you face H413 אל to H6440 פנים׃ face.

36 H834 כאשׁר Like as H8199 נשׁפטתי I pleaded H854 את with H1 אבותיכם your fathers H4057 במדבר in the wilderness H776 ארץ of the land H4714 מצרים of Egypt, H3651 כן so H8199 אשׁפט will I plead H854 אתכם with H5002 נאם you, saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה׃ GOD.

37 H5674 והעברתי And I will cause you to pass H853 אתכם H8478 תחת under H7626 השׁבט the rod, H935 והבאתי and I will bring H853 אתכם H4562 במסרת you into the bond H1285 הברית׃ of the covenant:

38 H1305 וברותי And I will purge out H4480 מכם from H4775 המרדים among you the rebels, H6586 והפושׁעים and them that transgress H776 בי מארץ out of the country H4033 מגוריהם where they sojourn, H3318 אוציא H853 אותם H413 ואל into H127 אדמת the land H3478 ישׂראל of Israel: H3808 לא and they shall not H935 יבוא enter H3045 וידעתם and ye shall know H3588 כי that H589 אני I H3068 יהוה׃ the LORD.

39 H859 ואתם As for you, H1004 בית O house H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H3541 כה thus H559 אמר saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD; H376 אישׁ ye every one H1544 גלוליו his idols, H1980 לכו Go H5647 עבדו ye, serve H310 ואחר and hereafter H518 אם if H369 אינכם ye will not H8085 שׁמעים hearken H413 אלי unto H853 ואת H8034 שׁם name H6944 קדשׁי ye my holy H3808 לא no H2490 תחללו me: but pollute H5750 עוד more H4979 במתנותיכם with your gifts, H1544 ובגלוליכם׃ and with your idols.

40 H3588 כי For H2022 בהר mountain, H6944 קדשׁי in mine holy H2022 בהר in the mountain H4791 מרום of the height H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H5002 נאם saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה GOD, H8033 שׁם there H5647 יעבדני serve H3605 כל shall all H1004 בית the house H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H3605 כלה all H776 בארץ of them in the land, H8033 שׁם me: there H7521 ארצם will I accept H8033 ושׁם them, and there H1875 אדרושׁ will I require H853 את H8641 תרומתיכם your offerings, H853 ואת H7225 ראשׁית and the firstfruits H4864 משׂאותיכם of your oblations, H3605 בכל with all H6944 קדשׁיכם׃ your holy things.

41 H7381 בריח savor, H5207 ניחח you with your sweet H7521 ארצה I will accept H853 אתכם H3318 בהוציאי H853 אתכם H4480 מן from H5971 העמים the people, H6908 וקבצתי and gather H853 אתכם H4480 מן you out of H776 הארצות the countries H834 אשׁר wherein H6327 נפצתם ye have been scattered; H6942 בם ונקדשׁתי and I will be sanctified H5869 בכם לעיני in you before H1471 הגוים׃ the heathen.

42 H3045 וידעתם And ye shall know H3588 כי that H589 אני I H3068 יהוה the LORD, H935 בהביאי when I shall bring H853 אתכם H413 אל you into H127 אדמת the land H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H413 אל into H776 הארץ the country H834 אשׁר the which H5375 נשׂאתי I lifted up H853 את H3027 ידי mine hand H5414 לתת to give H853 אותה H1 לאבותיכם׃ it to your fathers.

43 H2142 וזכרתם shall ye remember H8033 שׁם And there H853 את H1870 דרכיכם your ways, H853 ואת H3605 כל and all H5949 עלילותיכם your doings, H834 אשׁר wherein H2930 נטמאתם ye have been defiled; H6962 בם ונקטתם and ye shall loathe yourselves H6440 בפניכם in your own sight H3605 בכל for all H7451 רעותיכם your evils H834 אשׁר that H6213 עשׂיתם׃ ye have committed.

44 H3045 וידעתם And ye shall know H3588 כי that H589 אני I H3068 יהוה the LORD, H6213 בעשׂותי when I have wrought H854 אתכם with H4616 למען H8034 שׁמי H3808 לא not H1870 כדרכיכם ways, H7451 הרעים according to your wicked H5949 וכעלילותיכם doings, H7843 הנשׁחתות nor according to your corrupt H1004 בית O ye house H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H5002 נאם saith H136 אדני the Lord H3069 יהוה׃ GOD.
