KJV_Strongs(i)
H3068 Moreover the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H3947 unto me, Take [H8798]   H1419 thee a great H1549 roll H3789 , and write [H8798]   H582 in it with a man's H2747 pen H4122 concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.
H5749 And I took H539 unto me faithful [H8737]   H5707 witnesses H5749 to record [H8686]   H223 , Uriah H3548 the priest H2148 , and Zechariah H1121 the son H3000 of Jeberechiah.
H7126 And I went [H8799]   H5031 unto the prophetess H2029 ; and she conceived [H8799]   H3205 , and bare [H8799]   H1121 a son H559 . Then said [H8799]   H3068 the LORD H7121 to me, Call [H8798]   H8034 his name H4122 Mahershalalhashbaz.
H5288 For before the child H3045 shall have knowledge [H8799]   H7121 to cry [H8800]   H1 , My father H517 , and my mother H2428 , the riches H1834 of Damascus H7998 and the spoil H8111 of Samaria H5375 shall be taken away [H8799]   H6440 before H4428 the king H804 of Assyria.
H3068 The LORD H1696 spake [H8763]   H3254 also unto me again [H8686]   H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
H3282 Forasmuch H5971 as this people H3988 refuseth [H8804]   H4325 the waters H7975 of Shiloah H1980 that go [H8802]   H328 softly H4885 , and rejoice H7526 in Rezin H7425 and Remaliah's H1121 son;
H136 Now therefore, behold, the Lord H5927 bringeth up [H8688]   H4325 upon them the waters H5104 of the river H6099 , strong H7227 and many H4428 , even the king H804 of Assyria H3519 , and all his glory H5927 : and he shall come up [H8804]   H650 over all his channels H1980 , and go over [H8804]   H1415 all his banks:
H2498 And he shall pass [H8804]   H3063 through Judah H7857 ; he shall overflow [H8804]   H5674 and go over [H8804]   H5060 , he shall reach [H8686]   H6677 even to the neck H4298 ; and the stretching out H3671 of his wings H4393 shall fill H7341 the breadth H776 of thy land H6005 , O Immanuel H410  .
H7489 Associate [H8798]   H5971 yourselves, O ye people H2865 , and ye shall be broken in pieces [H8798]   H238 ; and give ear [H8685]   H3605 , all H4801 ye of far H776 countries H247 : gird [H8690]   H2865 yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces [H8798]   H247 ; gird [H8690]   H2865 yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces [H8798]  .
H5779 Take H6098 counsel H5779 together [H8798]   H6565 , and it shall come to nought [H8714]   H1696 ; speak [H8761]   H1697 the word H6965 , and it shall not stand [H8799]   H410 : for God is with us.
H3068 For the LORD H559 spake [H8804]   H2393 thus to me with a strong H3027 hand H3256 , and instructed [H8765]   H3212 me that I should not walk [H8800]   H1870 in the way H5971 of this people H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
H559 Say [H8799]   H7195 ye not, A confederacy H5971 , to all them to whom this people H559 shall say [H8799]   H7195 , A confederacy H3372 ; neither fear [H8799]   H4172 ye their fear H6206 , nor be afraid [H8686]  .
H6942 Sanctify [H8686]   H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts H4172 himself; and let him be your fear H6206 , and let him be your dread [H8688]  .
H4720 And he shall be for a sanctuary H68 ; but for a stone H5063 of stumbling H6697 and for a rock H4383 of offence H8147 to both H1004 the houses H3478 of Israel H6341 , for a gin H4170 and for a snare H3427 to the inhabitants [H8802]   H3389 of Jerusalem.
H7227 And many H3782 among them shall stumble [H8804]   H5307 , and fall [H8804]   H7665 , and be broken [H8738]   H3369 , and be snared [H8738]   H3920 , and be taken [H8738]  .
H6887 Bind up [H8798]   H8584 the testimony H2856 , seal [H8798]   H8451 the law H3928 among my disciples.
H2442 And I will wait [H8765]   H3068 upon the LORD H5641 , that hideth [H8688]   H6440 his face H1004 from the house H3290 of Jacob H6960 , and I will look [H8765]   for him.
H3206 Behold, I and the children H3068 whom the LORD H5414 hath given [H8804]   H226 me are for signs H4159 and for wonders H3478 in Israel H3068 from the LORD H6635 of hosts H7931 , which dwelleth [H8802]   H2022 in mount H6726 Zion.
H559 And when they shall say [H8799]   H1875 unto you, Seek [H8798]   H178 unto them that have familiar spirits H3049 , and unto wizards H6850 that peep [H8772]   H1897 , and that mutter [H8688]   H5971 : should not a people H1875 seek [H8799]   H430 unto their God H2416 ? for the living H4191 to the dead [H8801]  ?
H8451 To the law H8584 and to the testimony H559 : if they speak [H8799]   H1697 not according to this word H7837 , it is because there is no light in them.
H5674 And they shall pass [H8804]   H7185 through it, hardly bestead [H8737]   H7457 and hungry H7456 : and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry [H8799]   H7107 , they shall fret [H8694]   H7043 themselves, and curse [H8765]   H4428 their king H430 and their God H6437 , and look [H8804]   H4605 upward.
H5027 And they shall look [H8686]   H776 unto the earth H6869 ; and behold trouble H2825 and darkness H4588 , dimness H6695 of anguish H5080 ; and they shall be driven [H8794]   H653 to darkness.
ERV(i) 1 And the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great tablet, and write upon it with the pen of a man, For Maher-shalal-hash-baz; 2 and I will take unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah. 3 And I went unto the prophetess; and she conceived, and bare a son. Then said the LORD unto me, Call his name Maher-shalal-hash-baz. 4 For before the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and, My mother, the riches of Damascus and the spoil of Samaria shall be carried away before the king of Assyria. 5 And the LORD spake unto me yet again, saying, 6 Forasmuch as this people hath refused the waters of Shiloah that go softly, and rejoice in Rezin and Remaliah’s son; 7 now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the River, strong and many, [even] the king of Assyria and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks: 8 and he shall sweep onward into Judah; he shall overflow and pass through; he shall reach even to the neck; and the stretching out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel. 9 Make an uproar; O ye peoples, and ye shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces: gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. 10 Take counsel together, and it shall be brought to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God is with us. 11 For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand, and instructed me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, 12 Say ye not, A conspiracy, concerning all whereof this people shall say, A conspiracy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be in dread [thereof]. 13 The LORD of hosts, him shall ye sanctify; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. 14 And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 15 And many shall stumble thereon, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. 16 Bind thou up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples. 17 And I will wait for the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. 18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion. 19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits and unto the wizards, that chirp and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? on behalf of the living [should they seek] unto the dead? 20 To the law and to the testimony! if they speak not according to this word, surely there is no morning for them. 21 And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass that, when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse by their king and by their God, and turn their faces upward. 22 and they shall look unto the earth, and behold, distress and darkness, the gloom of anguish; and into thick darkness [they shall be] driven away.
