Jeremiah 11 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

2 H8085 [H8798] Hear H1697 ye the words H1285 of this covenant, H1696 [H8765] and speak H376 to the men H3063 of Judah, H3427 [H8802] and to the inhabitants H3389 of Jerusalem;

3 H559 [H8804] And say H559 [H8804] thou to them, Thus saith H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel; H779 [H8803] Cursed H376 be the man H8085 [H8799] that obeyeth H1697 not the words H1285 of this covenant,

4 H6680 [H8765] Which I commanded H1 your fathers H3117 in the day H3318 [H8687] that I brought them forth H776 from the land H4714 of Egypt, H1270 from the iron H3564 furnace, H559 [H8800] saying, H8085 [H8798] Obey H6963 my voice, H6213 [H8804] and do H6680 [H8762] them, according to all which I command H5971 you: so shall ye be my people, H430 and I will be your God:

5 H6965 [H8687] That I may raise H7621 the oath H7650 [H8738] which I have sworn H1 to your fathers, H5414 [H8800] to give H776 them a land H2100 [H8802] flowing H2461 with milk H1706 and honey, H3117 as it is this day. H6030 [H8799] Then answered H559 [H8799] I, and said, H543 So be it, H3068 O LORD.

6 H3068 Then the LORD H559 [H8799] said H7121 [H8798] to me, Call H1697 all these words H5892 in the cities H3063 of Judah, H2351 and in the streets H3389 of Jerusalem, H559 [H8800] saying, H8085 [H8798] Hear H1697 ye the words H1285 of this covenant, H6213 [H8804] and do them.

7 H5749 [H8687] For I earnestly H5749 [H8689] protested H1 to your fathers H3117 in the day H5927 [H8687] that I brought them H776 out of the land H4714 of Egypt, H3117 even to this day, H7925 [H8687] rising early H5749 [H8687] and protesting, H559 [H8800] saying, H8085 [H8798] Obey H6963 my voice.

8 H8085 [H8804] Yet they obeyed H5186 [H8689] not, nor inclined H241 their ear, H3212 [H8799] but walked H376 every one H8307 in the imagination H7451 of their evil H3820 heart: H935 [H8686] therefore I will bring H1697 upon them all the words H1285 of this covenant, H6680 [H8765] which I commanded H6213 [H8800] them to do; H6213 [H8804] but they did them not.

9 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H7195 to me, A conspiracy H4672 [H8738] is found H376 among the men H3063 of Judah, H3427 [H8802] and among the inhabitants H3389 of Jerusalem.

10 H7725 [H8804] They have turned back H5771 to the perversities H7223 H1 of their forefathers, H3985 [H8765] who refused H8085 [H8800] to hear H1697 my words; H1980 [H8804] and they went H310 after H312 other H430 gods H5647 [H8800] to serve H1004 them: the house H3478 of Israel H1004 and the house H3063 of Judah H6565 [H8689] have broken H1285 my covenant H3772 [H8804] which I made H1 with their fathers.

11 H559 [H8804] Therefore thus saith H3068 the LORD, H935 [H8688] Behold, I will bring H7451 evil H3201 [H8799] upon them, which they shall not be able H3318 [H8800] to escape; H2199 [H8804] and though they shall cry H8085 [H8799] to me, I will not hearken to them.

12 H5892 Then shall the cities H3063 of Judah H3427 [H8802] and inhabitants H3389 of Jerusalem H1980 [H8804] go, H2199 [H8804] and cry H430 to the gods H6999 [H8764] to which they offer incense: H3467 [H8686] but they shall not liberate H3467 [H8687] them at all H6256 in the time H7451 of their trouble.

13 H4557 For according to the number H5892 of thy cities H430 were thy gods, H3063 O Judah; H4557 and according to the number H2351 of the streets H3389 of Jerusalem H7760 [H8804] have ye set up H4196 altars H1322 to that shameful thing, H4196 even altars H6999 [H8763] to burn incense H1168 to Baal.

14 H6419 [H8691] Therefore pray H5971 not thou for this people, H5375 [H8799] neither lift up H7440 a cry H8605 or prayer H8085 [H8802] for them: for I will not hear H6256 them in the time H7121 [H8800] when they call H7451 to me for their trouble.

15 H3039 What hath my beloved H1004 to do in my house, H6213 [H8800] seeing she hath wrought H4209 lewdness H7227 with many, H6944 and the holy H1320 flesh H5674 [H8799] is passed H7451 from thee? when thou doest evil, H5937 [H8799] then thou rejoicest.

16 H3068 The LORD H7121 [H8804] called H8034 thy name, H7488 A green H2132 olive tree, H3303 fair, H8389 and of goodly H6529 fruit: H6963 with the noise H1419 of a great H1999 tumult H3341 [H8689] he hath kindled H784 fire H1808 upon it, and the branches H7489 [H8804] of it are broken.

17 H3068 For the LORD H6635 of hosts, H5193 [H8802] that planted H1696 [H8765] thee, hath pronounced H7451 evil H1558 against thee, for H7451 the evil H1004 of the house H3478 of Israel H1004 and of the house H3063 of Judah, H6213 [H8804] which they have done H3707 [H8687] against themselves to provoke me to anger H6999 [H8763] in offering incense H1168 to Baal.

18 H3068 And the LORD H3045 [H8799] hath given me knowledge H3045 [H8689] of it, and I know H7200 [H8689] it: then thou didst show H4611 me their doings.

19 H3532 But I was like a lamb H441 or an ox H2986 [H8714] that is brought H2873 [H8800] to the slaughter; H3045 [H8804] and I knew H2803 [H8804] not that they had devised H4284 devices H7843 [H8686] against me, saying, Let us decay H6086 the tree H3899 with its fruit, H3772 [H8799] and let us cut him off H776 from the land H2416 of the living, H8034 that his name H2142 [H8735] may be no more remembered.

20 H3068 But, O LORD H6635 of hosts, H8199 [H8802] that judgest H6664 righteously, H974 [H8802] that triest H3629 the kidneys H3820 and the heart, H7200 [H8799] let me see H5360 thy vengeance H1540 [H8765] on them: for to thee have I revealed H7379 my cause.

21 H559 [H8804] Therefore thus saith H3068 the LORD H582 concerning the men H6068 of Anathoth, H1245 [H8764] that seek H5315 thy life, H559 [H8800] saying, H5012 [H8735] Prophesy H8034 not in the name H3068 of the LORD, H4191 [H8799] that thou die H3027 not by our hand:

22 H559 [H8804] Therefore thus saith H3068 the LORD H6635 of hosts, H6485 [H8802] Behold, I will punish H970 them: the young men H4191 [H8799] shall die H2719 by the sword; H1121 their sons H1323 and their daughters H4191 [H8799] shall die H7458 by famine:

23 H7611 And there shall be no remnant H935 [H8686] of them: for I will bring H7451 evil H582 upon the men H6068 of Anathoth, H8141 even the year H6486 of their punishment.
