Leeser(i) 1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried aloud; and the people wept that night. 2 And all the people murmured against Moses and against Aaron; and the whole congregation said unto them, Oh who would grant that we had died in the land of Egypt! or that we might but die in this wilderness! 3 And wherefore doth the Lord bring us unto yonder land, to fall by the sword? that our wives and our children may become a prey? is it not better for us to return to Egypt? 4 And they said one to another, Let us appoint a chief, and let us return to Egypt. 5 Then fell Moses and Aaron on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Israel. 6 And Joshua, the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Yephunneh, of those that had spied out the land, rent their garments. 7 And they said unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, as followeth, The land, through which we have passed to spy it out, this land is exceedingly good. 8 If the Lord have delight in us, then will he bring us into this land, and give it to us: a land which is flowing with milk and honey. 9 Only against the Lord do ye not rebel; and then ye need not fear the people of the land; for they are our bread: their shadow is departed from them, while the Lord is with us; fear them not. 10 But all the congregation said to stone them with stones: when the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation unto all the children of Israel.
YLT(i) 1 And all the company lifteth up and give forth their voice, and the people weep during that night; 2 and all the sons of Israel murmur against Moses, and against Aaron, and all the company say unto them, `O that we had died in the land of Egypt, or in this wilderness, O that we had died! 3 and why is Jehovah bringing us in unto this land to fall by the sword? our wives and our infants are become a prey; is it not good for us to turn back to Egypt?' 4 And they say one unto another, `Let us appoint a head, and turn back to Egypt.'

Is it not good for us to return to Egypt? 4 And they said each to his brother, Let us appoint a leader and return to Egypt. 5 And Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the sons of Israel. 6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, of those who spied out the land, tore their garments. 7 And they spoke to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, The land into which we passed, to spy it out, is an exceedingly good land. 8 If Jehovah has delighted in us, then He will bring us into this land and will give it to us, a land which is flowing with milk and honey. 9 Only, do not rebel against Jehovah. And you, do not fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their defense has turned away from them; and Jehovah is with us; do not be afraid of them. 10 And all the congregation said to stone them with stones. And the glory of Jehovah appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation, to all the sons of Israel.

THE SONS OF YISRA EL MURMUR
And all the witness lift and give their voice and cry; and the people weep that night. 2 And all the sons of Yisra El murmur against Mosheh and against Aharon: and all the witness say to them, O that we had died in the land of Misrayim! O that we had died in this wilderness! 3 And why brings Yah Veh us to this land, to fall by the sword? And our women and our children become a plunder? Were it not better for us to return into Misrayim? 4 And they say man to brother, We give us a head and return to Misrayim. 5 Then Mosheh and Aharon fall at the face of all the congregation of the witness of the sons of Yisra El: 6 and Yah Shua the son of Nun and Kaleb the son of Yephunneh, being of them who explored the land, rip their clothes: 7 and they say to all the witness of the sons of Yisra El, saying, The land, we passed through to explore, is a mighty mighty good land: 8 if Yah Veh delights in us, he brings us into this land and gives it us - a land flowing with milk and honey: 9 only neither rebel against Yah Veh, nor awe the people of the land; for they are bread for us: their defence turns aside from them and Yah Veh is with us: - awe them not. 10 And all the witness say to stone them with stones. And the honor of Yah Veh is seen in the tent of the congregation at the face of all the sons of Yisra El:

Is it just to have us die in battle? Our wives and children will be taken as prisoners of war! Would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt?« 4 They said to each other: »Let us choose a leader and go back to Egypt.« 5 Immediately, Moses and Aaron bowed with their faces touching the ground in front of the whole congregation of Israel assembled there. 6 At the same time, two of those who had explored the land, Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, tore their clothes in despair. 7 They said to the entire congregation of Israel: »The land we explored is very good. 8 »If Jehovah is pleased with us, he will take us there and give us that rich and fertile land. 9 »Do not rebel against Jehovah. Do not be afraid of the people who live there. We will conquer them easily. Jehovah is with us and has defeated the gods who protected them. Do not be afraid.« 10 The whole congregation threatened to stone them to death. Then suddenly the people saw the dazzling light of Jehovah’s presence (glory) (splendor) appear over the tent.

4 Then they told each other, “Let’s assign a leader and go back to Egypt.”
5 Moses and Aaron fell on their faces in front of the entire assembly of the congregation of Israel. 6 Nun’s son Joshua and Jephunneh’s son Caleb, who had accompanied the others who also had explored the land, tore their clothes 7 and attempted to reason with the entire congregation of Israel. They told them, “The land that we went through and explored is very, very good. 8 If the LORD is pleased with us, he’ll bring us into this land and give it to us. It flows with milk and honey. 9 However, don’t rebel against the LORD or be afraid of the people who live in the land, because we’ll gobble them right up. Their defenses will collapse, because the LORD is with us. You are not to be afraid of them.”

Would it not be better for us to go back to Egypt?” 4 So they said to one another, “Let us appoint a leader and return to Egypt.” 5 Then Moses and Aaron fell facedown before the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel. 6 Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land, tore their clothes 7 and said to the whole congregation of Israel, “The land we passed through and explored is an exceedingly good land. 8 If the LORD delights in us, He will bring us into this land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and He will give it to us. 9 Only do not rebel against the LORD, and do not be afraid of the people of the land, for they will be like bread for us. Their protection has been removed, and the LORD is with us. Do not be afraid of them!” 10 But the whole congregation threatened to stone Joshua and Caleb. Then the glory of the LORD appeared to all the Israelites at the Tent of Meeting.
MLV(i) 1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice and cried and the people wept that night. 2 And all the sons of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron. And the whole congregation said to them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt, or would that we had died in this wilderness! 3 And why does Jehovah bring us to this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be a prey. Were it not better for us to return into Egypt?
4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain and let us return into Egypt.
5 Then Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the sons of Israel.
6 And Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were of those who spied out the land, tore their clothes. 7 And they spoke to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, saying, The land, which we passed through to spy it out, is an exceedingly good land. 8 If Jehovah delights in us, then he will bring us into this land and give it to us, a land which flows with milk and honey. 9 Only do not rebel against Jehovah, neither fear the people of the land, for they are bread for us. Their defense is removed from over them and Jehovah is with us. Fear them not. 10 But all the congregation commanded, stone them with stones. And the glory of Jehovah appeared in the tent of meeting to all the sons of Israel.
VIN(i) 1 Upon this, all the congregation, raising their voices, shouted aloud, and 2 All the Israelites murmured against Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly said to them: Oh that we had died in Egypt or in this wilderness. 3 Why is the LORD bringing us to this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones shall be taken as plunder. Is it not better for us to return to Egypt? 4 They said to each other: "Let us choose a leader and go back to Egypt." 5 Then Moses and Aaron went down on their faces before the meeting of the people. 6 Joshua, the son of Nun and Caleb, the son of Jephunneh, who were with those who explored the land, tore their clothes. 7 They reasoned with the entire congregation of Israel saying: The land, which we've passed through to explore is exceedingly good. 8 If the LORD delight in us, he will bring us into this land, and give it us, a land that flows with milk and honey; 9 Only, do not rebel against the LORD. And you, do not fear the people of the land, for they are our bread; their defense has turned away from them; and the LORD is with us; do not be afraid of them. 10 But the whole congregation desired to stone them to death. Suddenly, the glory of the LORD appeared at the tent of meeting, to all the Israelites.

Croatian(i) 1 Tada zagraja sva zajednica i poče vikati.
2 A reptali proti Mojžíšovi i proti Aronovi všickni synové Izraelští, a řeklo k nim všecko množství: Ó bychom byli zemřeli v zemi Egyptské, aneb na této poušti, ó bychom byli zemřeli! 3 A proč Hospodin vede nás do země té, abychom padli od meče, ženy naše i dítky naše aby byly v loupež? Není-liž nám lépe navrátiti se zase do Egypta? 4 I řekli jeden druhému: Ustanovme sobě vůdci, a navraťme se do Egypta. 5 Tedy padli Mojžíš a Aron na tváři své přede vším množstvím shromáždění synů Izraelských. 6 Jozue pak, syn Nun, a Kálef, syn Jefonův, z těch, kteříž byli shlédli zemi, roztrhli roucha svá, 7 A mluvili ke všemu množství synů Izraelských, řkouce: Země, kterouž jsme prošli a vyšetřili, jest země velmi velice dobrá. 8 Bude-li Hospodin laskav na nás, uvedeť nás do země té, a dá ji nám, a to zemi takovou, kteráž oplývá mlékem a strdí.

Indonesian(i) 1 Sepanjang malam umat Israel berteriak-teriak dan menangis-nangis.

Lithuanian(i) 1 Visa tauta pakėlė balsus ir raudojo tą naktį.

Portuguese(i) 1 Então toda a congregação levantou a voz e gritou; e o povo chorou naquela noite.
