Lamentations 1:2-9

ABP_Strongs(i)
  2 G2799 In weeping, G2799 she wept G1722 in G3571 the night, G2532 and G3588   G1144 her tears G1473   G1909 are upon G3588   G4600 her cheeks, G1473   G2532 and G3756 no one G5224 existed G3588   G3870 comforting G1473 her G575 from G3956 all G3588 of the ones G25 loving G1473 her. G3956 All G3588 the ones G5368 being fond of G1473 her G114 discarded G1722   G1473 her, G1096 they became G1473 to her G1519 for G2190 enemies.
3 G3351 Judea was displaced G*   G575 because of G5014 her humiliation, G1473   G2532 and G575 because of G4128 the multitude G1397 of her servitude. G1473   G2523 She stays G1722 among G1484 the nations, G3756 she did not G2147 find G372 rest. G3956 All G3588 the ones G2614 pursuing G1473 her G2638 overtook G1473 her G303.1 in the midst G3588 of the ones G2346 afflicting.
  4 G3598 The ways G* of Zion G3996 mourn G3844 by reason of G3588   G3361 there not being G1510.1   G2064 ones coming G1722 to G1859 the holiday feast . G3956 All G3588   G4439 her gates G1473   G853 have been obliterated. G3588   G2409 Her priests G1473   G389 are groaning, G3588   G3933 her virgins G1473   G71 are being led captive, G2532 and G1473 she G4087 is being embittered G1722 in G1438 herself.
  5 G1096 [4became G3588 1The ones G2346 2afflicting G1473 3her] G1519   G2776 the head, G2532 and G3588   G2190 her enemies G1473   G2112.1 are straightened; G3754 for G2962 the lord G5013 humbled G1473 her G1909 over G3588 the G4128 multitude G3588   G763 of her impieties. G1473   G3588   G3516 Her infants G1473   G4198 went G1722 into G161 captivity G2596 in front G4383   G2346 of the one afflicting.
  6 G2532 And G1831 went forth G1537 from G2364 the daughter G* of Zion G3956 all G3588   G2143 her beauty. G1473   G1096 [2became G3588   G758 1Her rulers] G1473   G5613 as G2919.1 rams G3756 not G2147 finding G3542 pasture, G2532 and G4198 going G1722 with G3756 no G2479 strength G2596 in front G4383   G1377 of the one pursuing.
  7 G3403 Jerusalem remembered G*   G2250 the days G5014 of her humiliation, G1473   G2532 and G684.2 her repulsions. G1473   G3956 All G3588   G1937.1 her desirable things, G1473   G3745 as many as G1510.7.3 were G1537 from G2250 [2days G744 1ancient] G1722 during G3588 the G4098 falling G3588   G2992 of her people G1473   G1519 into G5495 the hands G2346 of the one afflicting, G2532 and G3756 there was no one G1510.7.3   G3588   G997 helping G1473 her. G1492 Seeing, G3588   G2190 her enemies G1473   G1070 laughed G1909 upon G2532   G3350 her displacement. G1473
  8 G266 [3a sin G264 2sinned G* 1Jerusalem]; G1223 on account of G3778 this G1519 [2for G4535 3tossing about G1096 1she became]. G3956 All G3588 the ones G1392 glorifying G1473 her G5013 humbled G1473 her, G1492 for they beheld G1063   G3588   G808 her indecency. G1473   G2532 And G1065 indeed G1473 she G4727 is moaning herself G2532 and G654 turns G1519 to the rear. G3588   G3694
  9 G167 Her uncleanness G1473   G4314 is before G4228 her feet, G1473   G3756 she did not G3403 remember G2078 her end, G1473   G2532 and G2601 she brought down G5246 enormously. G3756 There is no G1510.2.3   G3588   G3870 comforting G1473 her. G1492 Behold G2962 O lord G3588   G5014 my humiliation, G1473   G3754 for G3170 [3was magnified G3588 1the G2190 2enemy]!

3 H3063 Judah H1540 [H8804] is gone into captivity H6040 because of affliction, H7230 and because of abundant H5656 servitude: H3427 [H8804] she dwelleth H1471 among the nations, H4672 [H8804] she findeth H4494 no rest: H7291 [H8802] all her persecutors H5381 [H8689] overtook H4712 her in the midst of distress.
4 H1870 The ways H6726 of Zion H57 do mourn, H935 [H8802] because none come H4150 to the solemn feasts: H8179 all her gates H8074 [H8802] are desolate: H3548 her priests H584 [H8737] sigh, H1330 her virgins H3013 [H8737] are grieved, H4843 [H8804] and she is in bitterness.
5 H6862 Her constricters H7218 are the head, H341 [H8802] her enemies H7951 [H8804] prosper; H3068 for the LORD H3013 [H8689] hath caused her to grieve H7230 for the abundance H6588 of her revolts: H5768 her children H1980 [H8804] are gone H7628 into captivity H6440 at the face of H6862 the constricter.
6 H1323 And from the daughter H6726 of Zion H1926 all her beauty H3318 [H8799] hath departed: H8269 her princes H354 are become like harts H4672 [H8804] that find H4829 no pasture, H3212 [H8799] and they are gone H3581 without strength H6440 at the face of H7291 [H8802] the pursuer.
7 H3389 Jerusalem H2142 [H8804] remembered H3117 in the days H6040 of her affliction H4788 and of her miseries H4262 all her pleasant things H3117 that she had in the days H6924 of old, H5971 when her people H5307 [H8800] fell H3027 into the hand H6862 of the constricter, H5826 [H8802] and none helped H6862 her: the constricters H7200 [H8804] saw H7832 [H8804] her, and mocked H4868 at her sabbaths.
  8 H3389 Jerusalem H2399 hath grievously H2398 [H8804] sinned; H5206 therefore she is removed: H3513 [H8764] all that honoured H2107 [H8689] her despise H7200 [H8804] her, because they have seen H6172 her nakedness: H584 [H8738] yea, she sigheth, H7725 [H8799] and turneth H268 backward.
9 H2932 Her filthiness H7757 is in her skirts; H2142 [H8804] she remembereth H319 not her latter end; H6382 therefore she hath been marvellously H3381 [H8799] abased: H5162 [H8764] she had no comforter. H3068 O LORD, H7200 [H8798] behold H6040 my affliction: H341 [H8802] for the enemy H1431 [H8689] hath magnified himself.

All they that had her in honour, despise her: for they have seen her filthiness. O LORD, consider my trouble, for my enemy hath the upper hand.

Thomson(i) 2 She wept sore by night and her tears are on her cheeks: and of all her lovers there is none to comfort her. All her friends dealt treacherously with her. They became her enemies. 3 Judea is forced to emigrate. On account of her humiliation and because of her great servitude, she sat down among the nations; she found no rest. All her persecutors found her among them who were afflicting her. 4 The highways of Sion mourn; because none attend her festivals. All her gates are desolate. Her priests groan bitterly. Her virgins are carried away; and she is by herself in bitterness. 5 They who afflict her are become her head; and her enemies prosper. Because the Lord hath humbled her for the multitude of her transgressions; her children are gone into captivity before the oppressor. 6 From the daughter of Sion all her comeliness is taken away. Her chiefs were like rams which could find no pasture; and they came without strength in view of the pursuer. 7 In the days of her humiliation and rejection, Jerusalem remembered all the good things which she had in days of old. When her people fell into the hands of the oppressor, and there was none to help her; her enemies seeing this, laughed at her festivals held in commemoration of her settlement. 8 Jerusalem sinned grievously, therefore she became unstable as a wave. By all that honoured her she hath been humbled, for they saw her nakedness, while she sighing turned away her face. 9 Her unclean ness was before her feet. She was insensible to her extreme distress. He hath indeed lowered her haughtiness; there is none who comforteth her. Lord, behold my affliction because the enemy is magnified.

Leeser(i) 2 She weepeth sorely in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks; she hath none to comfort her among all her lovers; all her friends have dealt treacherously toward her, they are become her enemies. 3 Exiled is Judah because of affliction, and because of the greatness of servitude she dwelleth indeed among the nations, she findeth no rest: all her pursuers have overtaken her between the narrow passes. 4 The ways to Zion are in mourning, because none come to the solemn feasts; all her gates are desolate; her priests sigh; her virgins moan, and she suffereth herself from bitter grief. 5 Her adversaries are become chiefs, her enemies prosper; for the Lord hath caused her to grieve because of the multitude of her transgressions: her babes are gone into captivity before the adversary. 6 And there is gone forth from the daughter of Zion all her splendor: her princes are become like harts that have found no pasture, and they flee without strength before the pursuer. 7 Jerusalem remembereth in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her magnificent things which have been in the days of old: when her people fell into the hand of the adversary, with none to help her, the adversaries looked at her, they laughed at the cessation of her glory. 8 A grievous sin did Jerusalem commit, therefore is she become a wanderer: all that honored her hold her in contempt, because they have seen her nakedness; she also sigheth, and turneth ashamed backward. 9 With her uncleanness on her skirts, she thought not of her latter end: therefore is she come down wonderfully, without one to comfort her. Behold, O Lord, my affliction; for the enemy hath become great above me.
YLT(i) 2 She weepeth sore in the night, And her tear is on her cheeks, There is no comforter for her out of all her lovers, All her friends dealt treacherously by her, They have been to her for enemies. 3 Removed hath Judah because of affliction, And because of the abundance of her service; She hath dwelt among nations, She hath not found rest, All her pursuers have overtaken her between the straits. 4 The ways of Zion are mourning, Without any coming at the appointed time, All her gates are desolate, her priests sigh, Her virgins are afflicted—and she hath bitterness. 5 Her adversaries have become chief, Her enemies have been at ease, For Jehovah hath afflicted her, For the abundance of her transgressions, Her infants have gone captive before the adversary. 6 And go out from the daughter of Zion doth all her honour, Her princes have been as harts—They have not found pasture, And they go powerless before a pursuer. 7 Remembered hath Jerusalem In the days of her affliction and her mournings, all her desirable things that were from the days of old, In the falling of her people into the hand of an adversary, And she hath no helper; Seen her have adversaries, They have laughed at her cessation. 8 A sin hath Jerusalem sinned, Therefore impure she hath become, All who honoured her have esteemed her lightly, For they have seen her nakedness, Yea, she herself hath sighed and turneth backward. 9 Her uncleanness is in her skirts, She hath not remembered her latter end, And she cometh down wonderfully, There is no comforter for her. See, O Jehovah, mine affliction, For exerted himself hath an enemy.
JuliaSmith(i) 2 Weeping, she will weep in the night, and her tears upon her cheeks: no comfort to her from all loving her: all her friends dealt faithlessly with her, they were to her for enemies. 3 Judah was carried away captive from affliction, and from the greatness of her serving: she dwelt in the nations, she found no rest: all pursuing her overtook her between straitnesses. 4 The ways of Zion mourn from none coming to the appointment: all her gates being desolated: her priests groaning, her virgins grieved, and it is bitterness to her. 5 Her adversaries were for head, her enemies were secure; for Jehovah afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children went into captivity before the face of him pressing. 6 From the daughter of Zion all her decoration went forth: her chiefs were as rams; they found not feed, and they went without strength before him pursuing. 7 Jerusalem remembered the days of her affliction and her wanderings, all her delights which were from the days of old in the falling of her people into the hand of the enemy, and none helping for her: the adversaries saw her; they laughed at her calamities. 8 Jerusalem sinned a sin; for this she was for a removing: all honoring her despised her, for they saw her nakedness: also she sighed, and she will turn away behind. 9 Her uncleanness is in her train; she remembered not her latter state; and she will come down wonderfully: none comforting for her. See, O Jehovah, my affliction: for the enemy magnified.

Rotherham(i) 2 She, weepeth sore, in the night, and, her tear, is on her cheek, She hath none to comfort her, of all her lovers,––All her friends, have betrayed her, have become her foes. 3 Carried away captive is Judah––because of oppression, and because of great servitude, She, hath remained among the nations, hath found no place of rest,––All her pursuers, have overtaken her, between straits. 4 The ways to Zion, are mourning, because none come to her appointed feasts, All her gates, are desolate, her priests, are sighing,––her virgins, are grieved, and, she, it is bitter for her. 5 Her adversaries have become chief, her foes, are at ease, for, Yahweh, hath grieved her, because of the multitude of her transgressions,––Her children, have gone into captivity, before the adversary. 6 Thus hath gone forth from the daughter of Zion, all that adorned her,––Her princes have become like harts that have found no pasture, and have gone strengthless before the pursuer. 7 Jerusalem hath remembered in the days of her humiliation and her fleeings––all her precious things, which have existed from the days of old,––Now that her people have been falling into the hand of the adversary, with none to help her, the adversaries have seen her, have mocked over her sabbath–keepings. 8 Jerusalem, hath grievously sinned, For this cause, unto exile, hath she been delivered,––All who used to honour her, have despised her, for they have descried her unseemliness, yea, she herself, hath sighed, and turned back. 9 Her impurity, is in her skirts, She hath not remembered her hereafter, Therefore hath she come down wonderfully, none to comfort her,––Behold, O Yahweh, my humiliation, that the foe, hath made himself great.
CLV(i) 2 She is lamenting, yea lamenting in the night, her tears on her cheeks; There is no one to comfort her of all her lovers; All her associates have dealt treacherously with her; they have become her enemies." 3 Deported is Judah after humiliation and much servitude; She dwells among the nations but finds no rest; All her pursuers have overtaken her in the narrow places. 4 The roads to Zion are mournful without anyone coming to the appointed festivals; All her gateways are desolate; her priests are sighing; Her virgins are afflicted, and to herself it has brought bitterness." 5 Her foes have become the head; her enemies are at ease; For Yahweh Himself has afflicted her because of her many transgressions; Her infants have gone into captivity before the foe. 6 Gone forth from the daughter of Zion is all her effulgence; Her chiefs have become like stags that find no pasture; They go without vigor before the pursuer. 7 Jerusalem remembers in the days of her humiliation and her homelessness, all her coveted things that were from days of long ago, When her people fell into the hand of the foe, and there was no help for her. The foes saw her; they made sport of her dissolution." 8 A sin has Jerusalem sinned; therefore she has become an isolated woman; All who glorified her count her abject, for they have seen her nakedness; Indeed she herself sighs and turns away back." 9 Her uncleanness is in her skirts, she was not mindful of her future; So she has come down most marvelously; there was no one to comfort her. See, O Yahweh, my humiliation, for the enemy magnified himself."
BBE(i) 2 She is sorrowing bitterly in the night, and her face is wet with weeping; among all her lovers she has no comforter: all her friends have been false to her, they have become her haters. 3 Judah has been taken away as a prisoner because of trouble and hard work; her living-place is among the nations, there is no rest for her: all her attackers have overtaken her in a narrow place. 4 The ways of Zion are sad, because no one comes to the holy meeting; all her doorways are made waste, her priests are breathing out sorrow: her virgins are troubled, and it is bitter for her. 5 Those who are against her have become the head, everything goes well for her haters; for the Lord has sent sorrow on her because of the great number of her sins: her young children have gone away as prisoners before the attacker. 6 And all her glory has gone from the daughter of Zion: her rulers have become like harts with no place for food, and they have gone in flight without strength before the attacker. 7 Jerusalem keeps in mind, in the days of her sorrow and of her wanderings, all the desired things which were hers in days gone by; when her people came into the power of her hater and she had no helper, her attackers saw their desire effected on her and made sport of her destruction. 8 Great is the sin of Jerusalem; for this cause she has become an unclean thing: all those who gave her honour are looking down on her, because they have seen her shame: now truly, breathing out grief, she is turned back. 9 In her skirts were her unclean ways; she gave no thought to her end; and her fall has been a wonder; she has no comforter: see her sorrow, O Lord; for the attacker is lifted up.

NSB(i) 2 She weeps bitterly in the night. Her cheeks are wet from crying. Her lovers offer no comfort. Her friends have been false to her. They have become her enemies. 3 Judah has been taken away as a prisoner because of trouble and hard work. She dwells among the nations. There is no rest for her. Her attackers have overtaken her in the midst of her distress. 4 The roads to Zion are sad. No one comes to the holy meeting. All her doorways are desolate. Her priests are sighing out of sorrow. Her virgins are troubled, and it is bitter for her. 5 Her enemies are at ease and her foes have become her masters. Jehovah (YHWH) sends her sorrow because of the great number of her sins. Young children have gone away as prisoners before the attacker. 6 Glory has gone from the daughter of Zion! Her rulers are like stags with no place to eat. They flee without strength from their attacker. 7 Jerusalem remembers in her days of sorrow and of her wanderings, all the desired things that were hers in the past. When her people were captive to the power of her adversary she had no helper. Her attackers desired her and made fun of her in her destruction. 8 Great is the sin of Jerusalem! For this cause she has become an unclean thing. Those who gave her honor are looking down on her. They see her shame. Now truly, sighing out grief, she turns back. 9 In her skirts were her unclean ways. She did not think of the future. Her fall has been a wonder. She has no comforter: »See her sorrow, O Jehovah, for the enemy is lifted up.«
ISV(i) 2 Bitterly she cries in the night, as tears stream down her cheeks. No one consoles her of all her friends. All her neighbors have betrayed her; they have become her enemies. 3 Judah has gone into exile to escape affliction and servitude. She that sat among the nations, has found no rest. All her pursuers overtook her amid narrow passes. 4 The roads that lead to Zion are in mourning, because no one travels to the festivals. All her gates are desolate; her priests are moaning. Her young women are grieving, and she is bitter. 5 Her adversaries dominate her, her enemies prosper. For the LORD has made her suffer because of her many transgressions. Her children have gone away, taken into captivity in the presence of the enemy. 6 Fled from cherished Zion are all that were her splendor. Her princes have become like deer that cannot find their feeding grounds. They flee with strength exhausted from their pursuers. 7 Jerusalem remembers her time of affliction and misery; all her valued belongings of days gone by, when her people fell into enemy hands, with no one to help her, and her enemies stared at her, mocking her downfall. 8 Jerusalem sinned greatly, and she became unclean. All who honored her now despise her, because they saw her naked. She herself groans and turns her face away. 9 Uncleanness has soiled her skirts, and she gave no thought to what would follow. She fell in such a startling way, with no one to comfort her. Look, LORD, upon my affliction, because my enemy is boasting.

DSV(i) 2 Beth. 5 He.

Giguet(i) 2 Beth.

Croatian(i) 2 Noći provodi gorko plačući, suzama pokriva obraze.

5 Hänen vihollisensa voitti, hänen vihollisillensa käy hyvästi; sillä Herra on hänen surkeudella täyttänyt hänen pahain tekoinsa paljouden tähden; hänen lapsensa ovat vankina menneet pois vihollisten edellä.
FinnishPR(i) 2 Se katkerasti itkee yössä, ja sillä on kyyneleet poskillansa. 6 Mennyt on tytär Siionilta kaikki hänen kauneutensa.

Indonesian(i) 2 Sepanjang malam ia menangis sedih, air mata berderai di pipi.

Lithuanian(i) 2 Ji verkia graudžiai nakties metu, skruostai pasruvę ašaromis.
Romanian(i) 2 Plînge amarnic noaptea, şi -i curg lacrămi pe obraji.
