Deuteronomy 7 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites , and the Girgashites , and the Amorites , and the Canaanites , and the Perizzites , and the Hivites , and the Jebusites , seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

1 H3068 When the LORD H430 thy God H935 shall bring [H8686] H776 thee into the land H935 whither thou goest [H8802] H3423 to possess [H8800] H5394 it, and hath cast out [H8804] H7227 many H1471 nations H6440 before H2850 thee, the Hittites H1622 , and the Girgashites H567 , and the Amorites H3669 , and the Canaanites H6522 , and the Perizzites H2340 , and the Hivites H2983 , and the Jebusites H7651 , seven H1471 nations H7227 greater H6099 and mightier than thou;

2 H3068 And when the LORD H430 thy God H5414 shall deliver [H8804] H6440 them before H5221 thee; thou shalt smite [H8689] H2763 them, and utterly [H8687] H2763 destroy [H8686] H3772 them; thou shalt make [H8799] H1285 no covenant H2603 with them, nor shew mercy [H8799] unto them:

3 H2859 Neither shalt thou make marriages [H8691] H1323 with them; thy daughter H5414 thou shalt not give [H8799] H1121 unto his son H1323 , nor his daughter H3947 shalt thou take [H8799] H1121 unto thy son.

4 H5493 For they will turn away [H8686] H1121 thy son H310 from following H5647 me, that they may serve [H8804] H312 other H430 gods H639 : so will the anger H3068 of the LORD H2734 be kindled [H8804] H8045 against you, and destroy [H8689] H4118 thee suddenly.

5 H6213 But thus shall ye deal [H8799] H5422 with them; ye shall destroy [H8799] H4196 their altars H7665 , and break down [H8762] H4676 their images H1438 , and cut down [H8762] H842 their groves H8313 , and burn [H8799] H6456 their graven images H784 with fire.

6 H6918 For thou art an holy H5971 people H3068 unto the LORD H430 thy God H3068 : the LORD H430 thy God H977 hath chosen [H8804] H5459 thee to be a special H5971 people H5971 unto himself, above all people H6440 that are upon the face H127 of the earth.

7 H3068 The LORD H2836 did not set his love [H8804] H977 upon you, nor choose [H8799] H7230 you, because ye were more H5971 in number than any people H4592 ; for ye were the fewest H5971 of all people:

8 H3068 But because the LORD H160 loved H8104 you, and because he would keep [H8800] H7621 the oath H7650 which he had sworn [H8738] H1 unto your fathers H3068 , hath the LORD H3318 brought you out [H8689] H2389 with a mighty H3027 hand H6299 , and redeemed [H8799] H1004 you out of the house H5650 of bondmen H3027 , from the hand H6547 of Pharaoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt.

9 H3045 Know [H8804] H3068 therefore that the LORD H430 thy God H430 , he is God H539 , the faithful [H8737] H410 God H8104 , which keepeth [H8802] H1285 covenant H2617 and mercy H157 with them that love [H8802] H8104 him and keep [H8802] H4687 his commandments H505 to a thousand H1755 generations;

10 H7999 And repayeth [H8764] H8130 them that hate [H8802] H6440 him to their face H6 , to destroy [H8687] H309 them: he will not be slack [H8762] H8130 to him that hateth [H8802] H7999 him, he will repay [H8762] H6440 him to his face.

11 H8104 Thou shalt therefore keep [H8804] H4687 the commandments H2706 , and the statutes H4941 , and the judgments H6680 , which I command [H8764] H3117 thee this day H6213 , to do [H8800] them.

12 H6118 Wherefore it shall come to pass, if H8085 ye hearken [H8799] H4941 to these judgments H8104 , and keep [H8804] H6213 , and do [H8804] H3068 them, that the LORD H430 thy God H8104 shall keep [H8804] H1285 unto thee the covenant H2617 and the mercy H7650 which he sware [H8738] H1 unto thy fathers:

13 H157 And he will love [H8804] H1288 thee, and bless [H8765] H7235 thee, and multiply [H8689] H1288 thee: he will also bless [H8765] H6529 the fruit H990 of thy womb H6529 , and the fruit H127 of thy land H1715 , thy corn H8492 , and thy wine H3323 , and thine oil H7698 , the increase H504 of thy kine H6251 , and the flocks H6629 of thy sheep H127 , in the land H7650 which he sware [H8738] H1 unto thy fathers H5414 to give [H8800] thee.

14 H1288 Thou shalt be blessed [H8803] H5971 above all people H6135 : there shall not be male H6135 or female barren H929 among you, or among your cattle.

15 H3068 And the LORD H5493 will take away [H8689] H2483 from thee all sickness H7760 , and will put [H8799] H7451 none of the evil H4064 diseases H4714 of Egypt H3045 , which thou knowest [H8804] H5414 , upon thee; but will lay [H8804] H8130 them upon all them that hate [H8802] thee.

16 H398 And thou shalt consume [H8804] H5971 all the people H3068 which the LORD H430 thy God H5414 shall deliver [H8802] H5869 thee; thine eye H2347 shall have no pity [H8799] H5647 upon them: neither shalt thou serve [H8799] H430 their gods H4170 ; for that will be a snare unto thee.

17 H559 If thou shalt say [H8799] H3824 in thine heart H1471 , These nations H7227 are more H349 than I; how H3201 can [H8799] H3423 I dispossess [H8687] them?

18 H3372 Thou shalt not be afraid [H8799] H2142 of them: but shalt well [H8800] H2142 remember [H8799] H3068 what the LORD H430 thy God H6213 did [H8804] H6547 unto Pharaoh H4714 , and unto all Egypt;

19 H1419 The great H4531 temptations H5869 which thine eyes H7200 saw [H8804] H226 , and the signs H4159 , and the wonders H2389 , and the mighty H3027 hand H5186 , and the stretched out [H8803] H2220 arm H3068 , whereby the LORD H430 thy God H3318 brought thee out [H8689] H3068 : so shall the LORD H430 thy God H6213 do [H8799] H5971 unto all the people H3373 of whom thou art afraid H6440 .

20 H3068 Moreover the LORD H430 thy God H7971 will send [H8762] H6880 the hornet H7604 among them, until they that are left [H8737] H5641 , and hide [H8737] H6440 themselves from H6 thee, be destroyed [H8800] .

21 H6206 Thou shalt not be affrighted [H8799] H6440 at H3068 them: for the LORD H430 thy God H7130 is among H1419 you, a mighty H410 God H3372 and terrible [H8737] .

22 H3068 And the LORD H430 thy God H5394 will put out [H8804] H411 those H1471 nations H6440 before H4592 thee by little H4592 and little H3201 : thou mayest [H8799] H3615 not consume [H8763] H4118 them at once H2416 , lest the beasts H7704 of the field H7235 increase [H8799] upon thee.

23 H3068 But the LORD H430 thy God H5414 shall deliver [H8804] H6440 them unto thee H1949 , and shall destroy [H8804] H1419 them with a mighty H4103 destruction H8045 , until they be destroyed [H8736] .

24 H5414 And he shall deliver [H8804] H4428 their kings H3027 into thine hand H6 , and thou shalt destroy [H8689] H8034 their name H8064 from under heaven H376 : there shall no man H3320 be able to stand [H8691] H6440 before H8045 thee, until thou have destroyed [H8687] them.

25 H6456 The graven images H430 of their gods H8313 shall ye burn [H8799] H784 with fire H2530 : thou shalt not desire [H8799] H3701 the silver H2091 or gold H3947 that is on them, nor take [H8804] H3369 it unto thee, lest thou be snared [H8735] H8441 therein: for it is an abomination H3068 to the LORD H430 thy God.

26 H935 Neither shalt thou bring [H8686] H8441 an abomination H1004 into thine house H2764 , lest thou be a cursed thing H8262 like it: but thou shalt utterly [H8763] H8262 detest [H8762] H8581 it, and thou shalt utterly [H8763] H8581 abhor [H8762] H2764 it; for it is a cursed thing.
