KJV_Strongs(i)
H1961 And it came to pass [H8799]   H3327 , that when Isaac H2204 was old [H8804]   H5869 , and his eyes H3543 were dim [H8799]   H7200 , so that he could not see [H8800]   H7121 , he called [H8799]   H6215 Esau H1419 his eldest H1121 son H559 , and said [H8799]   H1121 unto him, My son H559 : and he said [H8799]   unto him, Behold, here am I.
H559 And he said [H8799]   H2204 , Behold now, I am old [H8804]   H3045 , I know [H8804]   H3117 not the day H4194 of my death:
H5375 Now therefore take [H8798]   H3627 , I pray thee, thy weapons H8522 , thy quiver H7198 and thy bow H3318 , and go out [H8798]   H7704 to the field H6679 , and take [H8798]   H6718 me some venison [H8675]   H6720  ;
H6213 And make [H8798]   H4303 me savoury meat H834 , such as H157 I love [H8804]   H935 , and bring [H8685]   H398 it to me, that I may eat [H8799]   H5315 ; that my soul H1288 may bless [H8762]   H2962 thee before H4191 I die [H8799]  .
H7259 And Rebekah H8085 heard [H8802]   H3327 when Isaac H1696 spake [H8763]   H6215 to Esau H1121 his son H6215 . And Esau H3212 went [H8799]   H7704 to the field H6679 to hunt [H8800]   H6718 for venison H935 , and to bring [H8687]   it .
H7259 And Rebekah H559 spake [H8804]   H3290 unto Jacob H1121 her son H559 , saying [H8800]   H8085 , Behold, I heard [H8804]   H1 thy father H1696 speak [H8764]   H6215 unto Esau H251 thy brother H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
H935 Bring [H8685]   H6718 me venison H6213 , and make [H8798]   H4303 me savoury meat H398 , that I may eat [H8799]   H1288 , and bless [H8762]   H6440 thee before H3068 the LORD H6440 before H4194 my death.
H1121 Now therefore, my son H8085 , obey [H8798]   H6963 my voice H834 according to that which H6680 I command [H8764]   thee.
H3212 Go [H8798]   H6629 now to the flock H3947 , and fetch [H8798]   H8147 me from thence two H2896 good H1423 kids H5795 of the goats H6213 ; and I will make [H8799]   H4303 them savoury meat H1 for thy father H157 , such as he loveth [H8804]  :
H935 And thou shalt bring [H8689]   H1 it to thy father H398 , that he may eat [H8804]   H834 , and that H1288 he may bless [H8762]   H6440 thee before H4194 his death.
H3290 And Jacob H559 said [H8799]   H7259 to Rebekah H517 his mother H6215 , Behold, Esau H251 my brother H8163 is a hairy H376 man H2509 , and I am a smooth H376 man:
H1 My father H4959 peradventure will feel [H8799]   H5869 me, and I shall seem H8591 to him as a deceiver [H8772]   H935 ; and I shall bring [H8689]   H7045 a curse H1293 upon me, and not a blessing.
H517 And his mother H559 said [H8799]   H7045 unto him, Upon me be thy curse H1121 , my son H8085 : only obey [H8798]   H6963 my voice H3212 , and go [H8798]   H3947 fetch [H8798]   me them .
H3212 And he went [H8799]   H3947 , and fetched [H8799]   H935 , and brought [H8686]   H517 them to his mother H517 : and his mother H6213 made [H8799]   H4303 savoury meat H1 , such as his father H157 loved [H8804]  .
H7259 And Rebekah H3947 took [H8799]   H2532 goodly H899 raiment H1419 of her eldest H1121 son H6215 Esau H1004 , which were with her in the house H3847 , and put them upon [H8686]   H3290 Jacob H6996 her younger H1121 son:
H3847 And she put [H8689]   H5785 the skins H1423 of the kids H5795 of the goats H3027 upon his hands H2513 , and upon the smooth H6677 of his neck:
H5414 And she gave [H8799]   H4303 the savoury meat H3899 and the bread H6213 , which she had prepared [H8804]   H3027 , into the hand H1121 of her son H3290 Jacob.
H935 And he came [H8799]   H1 unto his father H559 , and said [H8799]   H1 , My father H559 : and he said [H8799]   H1121 , Here am I; who art thou, my son?
H3290 And Jacob H559 said [H8799]   H1 unto his father H6215 , I am Esau H1060 thy firstborn H6213 ; I have done [H8804]   H1696 according as thou badest [H8765]   H6965 me: arise [H8798]   H3427 , I pray thee, sit [H8798]   H398 and eat [H8798]   H6718 of my venison H5315 , that thy soul H1288 may bless [H8762]   me.
H3327 And Isaac H559 said [H8799]   H1121 unto his son H4672 , How is it that thou hast found [H8800]   H4116 it so quickly [H8765]   H1121 , my son H559 ? And he said [H8799]   H3068 , Because the LORD H430 thy God H7136 brought [H8689]   H6440 it to me.
H3327 And Isaac H559 said [H8799]   H3290 unto Jacob H5066 , Come near [H8798]   H4184 , I pray thee, that I may feel [H8799]   H1121 thee, my son H2088 , whether thou be my very H1121 son H6215 Esau or not.
H3290 And Jacob H5066 went near [H8799]   H3327 unto Isaac H1 his father H4959 ; and he felt [H8799]   H559 him, and said [H8799]   H6963 , The voice H3290 is Jacob's H6963 voice H3027 , but the hands H3027 are the hands H6215 of Esau.
H5234 And he discerned [H8689]   H3027 him not, because his hands H8163 were hairy H251 , as his brother H6215 Esau's H3027 hands H1288 : so he blessed [H8762]   him.
H559 And he said [H8799]   H1121 , Art thou my very son H6215 Esau H559 ? And he said [H8799]  , I am .
H559 And he said [H8799]   H5066 , Bring it near [H8685]   H398 to me, and I will eat [H8799]   H1121 of my son's H6718 venison H5315 , that my soul H1288 may bless [H8762]   H5066 thee. And he brought it near [H8686]   H398 to him, and he did eat [H8799]   H935 : and he brought [H8686]   H3196 him wine H8354 , and he drank [H8799]  .
H1 And his father H3327 Isaac H559 said [H8799]   H5066 unto him, Come near [H8798]   H5401 now, and kiss [H8798]   H1121 me, my son.
H5066 And he came near [H8799]   H5401 , and kissed [H8799]   H7306 him: and he smelled [H8686]   H7381 the smell H899 of his raiment H1288 , and blessed [H8762]   H559 him, and said [H8799]   H7200 , See [H8798]   H7381 , the smell H1121 of my son H7381 is as the smell H7704 of a field H3068 which the LORD H1288 hath blessed [H8765]  :
H430 Therefore God H5414 give [H8799]   H2919 thee of the dew H8064 of heaven H4924 , and the fatness H776 of the earth H7230 , and plenty H1715 of corn H8492 and wine:
H5971 Let people H5647 serve [H8799]   H3816 thee, and nations H7812 bow down [H8691]   H1933 to thee: be [H8798]   H1376 lord H251 over thy brethren H517 , and let thy mother's H1121 sons H7812 bow down [H8691]   H779 to thee: cursed [H8803]   H779 be every one that curseth [H8802]   H1288 thee, and blessed [H8803]   H1288 be he that blesseth [H8764]   thee.
H3327 And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac H3615 had made an end [H8765]   H1288 of blessing [H8763]   H3290 Jacob H3290 , and Jacob H389 was yet H3318 scarce [H8800]   H3318 gone out [H8804]   H6440 from the presence H3327 of Isaac H1 his father H6215 , that Esau H251 his brother H935 came in [H8804]   H6718 from his hunting.
H6213 And he also had made [H8799]   H4303 savoury meat H935 , and brought it [H8686]   H1 unto his father H559 , and said [H8799]   H1 unto his father H1 , Let my father H6965 arise [H8799]   H398 , and eat [H8799]   H1121 of his son's H6718 venison H5315 , that thy soul H1288 may bless [H8762]   me.
H3327 And Isaac H1 his father H559 said [H8799]   H559 unto him, Who art thou? And he said [H8799]   H1121 , I am thy son H1060 , thy firstborn H6215 Esau.
H3327 And Isaac H2729 trembled [H8799]   H1419 very H3966 exceedingly H2731   H559 , and said [H8799]   H645 , Who? where H6679 is he that hath taken [H8801]   H6718 venison H935 , and brought [H8686]   H398 it me, and I have eaten [H8799]   H935 of all before thou camest [H8799]   H1288 , and have blessed [H8762]   H1288 him? yea, and he shall be blessed [H8803]  .
H6215 And when Esau H8085 heard [H8800]   H1697 the words H1 of his father H6817 , he cried [H8799]   H1419 with a great H3966 and exceeding H4751 bitter H6818 cry H559 , and said [H8799]   H1 unto his father H1288 , Bless [H8761]   H1 me, even me also, O my father.
H559 And he said [H8799]   H251 , Thy brother H935 came [H8804]   H4820 with subtilty H3947 , and hath taken away [H8799]   H1293 thy blessing.
H559 And he said [H8799]   H3588 , Is not he rightly H7121 named [H8804]   H8034   H3290 Jacob H6117 ? for he hath supplanted me [H8799]   H2088 these H6471 two times H3947 : he took away [H8804]   H1062 my birthright H3947 ; and, behold, now he hath taken away [H8804]   H1293 my blessing H559 . And he said [H8799]   H680 , Hast thou not reserved [H8804]   H1293 a blessing for me?
H3327 And Isaac H6030 answered [H8799]   H559 and said [H8799]   H6215 unto Esau H7760 , Behold, I have made [H8804]   H1376 him thy lord H251 , and all his brethren H5414 have I given [H8804]   H5650 to him for servants H1715 ; and with corn H8492 and wine H5564 have I sustained [H8804]   H6213 him: and what shall I do [H8799]   H645 now H1121 unto thee, my son?
H6215 And Esau H559 said [H8799]   H1 unto his father H259 , Hast thou but one H1293 blessing H1 , my father H1288 ? bless [H8761]   H1 me, even me also, O my father H6215 . And Esau H5375 lifted up [H8799]   H6963 his voice H1058 , and wept [H8799]  .
H3327 And Isaac H1 his father H6030 answered [H8799]   H559 and said [H8799]   H4186 unto him, Behold, thy dwelling H4924 shall be the fatness H776 of the earth H2919 , and of the dew H8064 of heaven H5920 from above;
H2719 And by thy sword H2421 shalt thou live [H8799]   H5647 , and shalt serve [H8799]   H251 thy brother H7300 ; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion [H8686]   H6561 , that thou shalt break [H8804]   H5923 his yoke H6677 from off thy neck.
H6215 And Esau H7852 hated [H8799]   H3290 Jacob H5921 because H1293 of the blessing H834 wherewith H1 his father H1288 blessed him [H8765]   H6215 : and Esau H559 said [H8799]   H3820 in his heart H3117 , The days H60 of mourning H1 for my father H7126 are at hand [H8799]   H2026 ; then will I slay [H8799]   H251 my brother H3290 Jacob.
H1697 And these words H6215 of Esau H1419 her elder H1121 son H5046 were told [H8714]   H7259 to Rebekah H7971 : and she sent [H8799]   H7121 and called [H8799]   H3290 Jacob H6996 her younger H1121 son H559 , and said [H8799]   H251 unto him, Behold, thy brother H6215 Esau H5162 , as touching thee, doth comfort [H8693]   H2026 himself, purposing to kill [H8800]   thee.
H1121 Now therefore, my son H8085 , obey [H8798]   H6963 my voice H6965 ; and arise [H8798]   H1272 , flee [H8798]   H3837 thou to Laban H251 my brother H2771 to Haran;
H3427 And tarry [H8804]   H259 with him a few H3117 days H834 , until H251 thy brother's H2534 fury H7725 turn away [H8799]  ;
H251 Until thy brother's H639 anger H7725 turn away [H8800]   H7911 from thee, and he forget [H8804]   H6213 that which thou hast done [H8804]   H7971 to him: then I will send [H8804]   H3947 , and fetch [H8804]   H4100 thee from thence: why H7921 should I be deprived [H8799]   H8147 also of you both H259 in one H3117 day?
H7259 And Rebekah H559 said [H8799]   H3327 to Isaac H6973 , I am weary [H8804]   H2416 of my life H6440 because H1323 of the daughters H2845 of Heth H3290 : if Jacob H3947 take [H8802]   H802 a wife H1323 of the daughters H2845 of Heth H1323 , such as these which are of the daughters H776 of the land H4100 , what good H2416 shall my life do me?
KJV(i) 1 And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I. 2 And he said, Behold now, I am old, I know not the day of my death: 3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison; 4 And make me savory meat, such as I love, and bring it to me, that I may eat; that my soul may bless thee before I die. 5 And Rebekah heard when Isaac spake to Esau his son. And Esau went to the field to hunt for venison, and to bring it. 6 And Rebekah spake unto Jacob her son, saying, Behold, I heard thy father speak unto Esau thy brother, saying, 7 Bring me venison, and make me savory meat, that I may eat, and bless thee before the LORD before my death. 8 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice according to that which I command thee. 9 Go now to the flock, and fetch me from thence two good kids of the goats; and I will make them savory meat for thy father, such as he loveth: 10 And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death. 11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man, and I am a smooth man: 12 My father peradventure will feel me, and I shall seem to him as a deceiver; and I shall bring a curse upon me, and not a blessing. 13 And his mother said unto him, Upon me be thy curse, my son: only obey my voice, and go fetch me them. 14 And he went, and fetched, and brought them to his mother: and his mother made savory meat, such as his father loved. 15 And Rebekah took goodly raiment of her eldest son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them upon Jacob her younger son: 16 And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck: 17 And she gave the savory meat and the bread, which she had prepared, into the hand of her son Jacob. 18 And he came unto his father, and said, My father: and he said, Here am I; who art thou, my son? 19 And Jacob said unto his father, I am Esau thy first born; I have done according as thou badest me: arise, I pray thee, sit and eat of my venison, that thy soul may bless me. 20 And Isaac said unto his son, How is it that thou hast found it so quickly, my son? And he said, Because the LORD thy God brought it to me. 21 And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not. 22 And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau. 23 And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him. 24 And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am. 25 And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine and he drank. 26 And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son. 27 And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed: 28 Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine: 29 Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee. 30 And it came to pass, as soon as Isaac had made an end of blessing Jacob, and Jacob was yet scarce gone out from the presence of Isaac his father, that Esau his brother came in from his hunting. 31 And he also had made savory meat, and brought it unto his father, and said unto his father, Let my father arise, and eat of his son's venison, that thy soul may bless me. 32 And Isaac his father said unto him, Who art thou? And he said, I am thy son, thy firstborn Esau. 33 And Isaac trembled very exceedingly, and said, Who? where is he that hath taken venison, and brought it me, and I have eaten of all before thou camest, and have blessed him? yea, and he shall be blessed. 34 And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father. 35 And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty, and hath taken away thy blessing. 36 And he said, Is not he rightly named Jacob? for he hath supplanted me these two times: he took away my birthright; and, behold, now he hath taken away my blessing. And he said, Hast thou not reserved a blessing for me? 37 And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son? 38 And Esau said unto his father, Hast thou but one blessing, my father? bless me, even me also, O my father. And Esau lifted up his voice, and wept. 39 And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above; 40 And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck. 41 And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob. 42 And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself, purposing to kill thee. 43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran; 44 And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother's fury turn away; 45 Until thy brother's anger turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day? 46 And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: if Jacob take a wife of the daughters of Heth, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?
