KJV_Strongs(i)
H7725 If thou wilt return [H8799]   H3478 , O Israel H5002 , saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD H7725 , return [H8799]   H5493 unto me: and if thou wilt put away [H8686]   H8251 thine abominations H6440 out of my sight H5110 , then shalt thou not remove [H8799]  .
H7650 And thou shalt swear [H8738]   H3068 , The LORD H2416 liveth H571 , in truth H4941 , in judgment H6666 , and in righteousness H1471 ; and the nations H1288 shall bless [H8694]   H1984 themselves in him, and in him shall they glory [H8691]  .
H559 For thus saith [H8804]   H3068 the LORD H376 to the men H3063 of Judah H3389 and Jerusalem H5214 , Break up [H8798]   H5215 your fallow ground H2232 , and sow [H8799]   H6975 not among thorns.
H4135 Circumcise [H8734]   H3068 yourselves to the LORD H5493 , and take away [H8685]   H6190 the foreskins H3824 of your heart H376 , ye men H3063 of Judah H3427 and inhabitants [H8802]   H3389 of Jerusalem H2534 : lest my fury H3318 come forth [H8799]   H784 like fire H1197 , and burn [H8804]   H3518 that none can quench [H8764]   H6440 it, because H7455 of the evil H4611 of your doings.
H5046 Declare [H8685]   H3063 ye in Judah H8085 , and publish [H8685]   H3389 in Jerusalem H559 ; and say [H8798]   H8628 , Blow [H8798]   H7782 ye the trumpet H776 in the land H7121 : cry [H8798]   H4390 , gather together [H8761]   H559 , and say [H8798]   H622 , Assemble [H8734]   H935 yourselves, and let us go [H8799]   H4013 into the defenced H5892 cities.
H5375 Set up [H8798]   H5251 the standard H6726 toward Zion H5756 : retire [H8685]   H5975 , stay [H8799]   H935 not: for I will bring [H8688]   H7451 evil H6828 from the north H1419 , and a great H7667 destruction.
H738 The lion H5927 is come up [H8804]   H5441 from his thicket H7843 , and the destroyer [H8688]   H1471 of the Gentiles H5265 is on his way [H8804]   H3318 ; he is gone forth [H8804]   H4725 from his place H7760 to make [H8800]   H776 thy land H8047 desolate H5892 ; and thy cities H5327 shall be laid waste [H8799]   H3427 , without an inhabitant [H8802]  .
H2296 For this gird [H8798]   H8242 you with sackcloth H5594 , lament [H8798]   H3213 and howl [H8685]   H2740 : for the fierce H639 anger H3068 of the LORD H7725 is not turned back [H8804]   from us.
H3117 And it shall come to pass at that day H5002 , saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD H3820 , that the heart H4428 of the king H6 shall perish [H8799]   H3820 , and the heart H8269 of the princes H3548 ; and the priests H8074 shall be astonished [H8738]   H5030 , and the prophets H8539 shall wonder [H8799]  .
H559 Then said [H8799]   H162 I, Ah H136 , Lord H3069 GOD H403 ! surely H5377 thou hast greatly [H8687]   H5377 deceived [H8689]   H5971 this people H3389 and Jerusalem H559 , saying [H8800]   H7965 , Ye shall have peace H2719 ; whereas the sword H5060 reacheth [H8804]   H5315 unto the soul.
H6256 At that time H559 shall it be said [H8735]   H5971 to this people H3389 and to Jerusalem H6703 , A dry H7307 wind H8205 of the high places H4057 in the wilderness H1870 toward H1323 the daughter H5971 of my people H2219 , not to fan [H8800]   H1305 , nor to cleanse [H8687]  ,
H4392 Even a full H7307 wind H935 from those places shall come [H8799]   H1696 unto me: now also will I give [H8762]   H4941 sentence against them.
H5927 Behold, he shall come up [H8799]   H6051 as clouds H4818 , and his chariots H5492 shall be as a whirlwind H5483 : his horses H7043 are swifter [H8804]   H5404 than eagles H188 . Woe H7703 unto us! for we are spoiled [H8795]  .
H3389 O Jerusalem H3526 , wash [H8761]   H3820 thine heart H7451 from wickedness H3467 , that thou mayest be saved [H8735]   H205 . How long shall thy vain H4284 thoughts H3885 lodge [H8686]   H7130 within thee?
H6963 For a voice H5046 declareth [H8688]   H1835 from Dan H8085 , and publisheth [H8688]   H205 affliction H2022 from mount H669 Ephraim.
H2142 Make ye mention [H8685]   H1471 to the nations H8085 ; behold, publish [H8685]   H3389 against Jerusalem H5341 , that watchers [H8802]   H935 come [H8802]   H4801 from a far H776 country H5414 , and give out [H8799]   H6963 their voice H5892 against the cities H3063 of Judah.
H8104 As keepers [H8802]   H7704 of a field H5439 , are they against her round about H4784 ; because she hath been rebellious [H8804]   H5002 against me, saith [H8803]   H3068 the LORD.
H1870 Thy way H4611 and thy doings H6213 have procured [H8804]   H7451 these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness H4751 , because it is bitter H5060 , because it reacheth [H8804]   H3820 unto thine heart.
H4578 My bowels H4578 , my bowels H2342 ! I am pained [H8799]   [H8675]   H3176   [H8686]   H7023 at my very H3820 heart H3820 ; my heart H1993 maketh a noise [H8802]   H2790 in me; I cannot hold my peace [H8686]   H8085 , because thou hast heard [H8804]   H5315 , O my soul H6963 , the sound H7782 of the trumpet H8643 , the alarm H4421 of war.
H7667 Destruction H7667 upon destruction H7121 is cried [H8738]   H776 ; for the whole land H7703 is spoiled [H8795]   H6597 : suddenly H168 are my tents H7703 spoiled [H8795]   H3407 , and my curtains H7281 in a moment.
H7200 How long shall I see [H8799]   H5251 the standard H8085 , and hear [H8799]   H6963 the sound H7782 of the trumpet?
H5971 For my people H191 is foolish H3045 , they have not known [H8804]   H5530 me; they are sottish H1121 children H995 , and they have none understanding [H8737]   H2450 : they are wise H7489 to do evil [H8687]   H3190 , but to do good [H8687]   H3045 they have no knowledge [H8804]  .
H7200 I beheld [H8804]   H776 the earth H8414 , and, lo, it was without form H922 , and void H8064 ; and the heavens H216 , and they had no light.
H7200 I beheld [H8804]   H2022 the mountains H7493 , and, lo, they trembled [H8801]   H1389 , and all the hills H7043 moved lightly [H8701]  .
H7200 I beheld [H8804]   H120 , and, lo, there was no man H5775 , and all the birds H8064 of the heavens H5074 were fled [H8804]  .
H7200 I beheld [H8804]   H3759 , and, lo, the fruitful place H4057 was a wilderness H5892 , and all the cities H5422 thereof were broken down [H8738]   H6440 at the presence H3068 of the LORD H2740 , and by his fierce H639 anger.
H3068 For thus hath the LORD H559 said [H8804]   H776 , The whole land H8077 shall be desolate H6213 ; yet will I not make [H8799]   H3617 a full end.
H776 For this shall the earth H56 mourn [H8799]   H8064 , and the heavens H4605 above H6937 be black [H8804]   H1696 : because I have spoken [H8765]   H2161 it, I have purposed [H8804]   H5162 it, and will not repent [H8738]   H7725 , neither will I turn back [H8799]   from it.
H5892 The whole city H1272 shall flee [H8802]   H6963 for the noise H6571 of the horsemen H7198 and bowmen H7411   [H8802]   H935 ; they shall go [H8804]   H5645 into thickets H5927 , and climb up [H8804]   H3710 upon the rocks H5892 : every city H5800 shall be forsaken [H8803]   H376 , and not a man H3427 dwell [H8802]   H2004 therein.
H7703 And when thou art spoiled [H8803]   H6213 , what wilt thou do [H8799]   H3847 ? Though thou clothest [H8799]   H8144 thyself with crimson H5710 , though thou deckest [H8799]   H5716 thee with ornaments H2091 of gold H7167 , though thou rentest [H8799]   H5869 thy face H6320 with painting H7723 , in vain H3302 shalt thou make thyself fair [H8691]   H5689 ; thy lovers [H8802]   H3988 will despise [H8804]   H1245 thee, they will seek [H8762]   H5315 thy life.
H8085 For I have heard [H8804]   H6963 a voice H2470 as of a woman in travail [H8802]   H6869 , and the anguish H1069 as of her that bringeth forth her first child [H8688]   H6963 , the voice H1323 of the daughter H6726 of Zion H3306 , that bewaileth [H8691]   H6566 herself, that spreadeth [H8762]   H3709 her hands H188 , saying, Woe H5315 is me now! for my soul H5888 is wearied [H8804]   H2026 because of murderers [H8802]  .
ERV(i) 1 If thou wilt return, O Israel, saith the LORD, unto me shalt thou return: and if thou wilt put away thine abominations out of my sight, then shalt thou not be removed; 2 and thou shalt swear, As the LORD liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory. 3 For thus saith the LORD to the men of Judah and to Jerusalem, Break up your fallow ground, and sow not among thorns. 4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury go forth like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the evil of your doings. 5 Declare ye in Judah, and publish in Jerusalem; and say, Blow ye the trumpet in the land: cry aloud and say? Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the fenced cities. 6 Set up a standard toward Zion: flee for safety, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction. 7 A lion is gone up from his thicket, and a destroyer of nations; he is on his way, he is gone forth from his place; to make thy land desolate, that thy cities be laid waste, without inhabitant. 8 For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us. 9 And it shall come to pass at that day, saith the LORD, that the heart of the king shall perish, and the heart of the princes; and the priests shall be astonished, and the prophets shall wonder. 10 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the sword reacheth unto the soul. 11 At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A hot wind from the bare heights in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse; 12 a full wind from these shall come for me: now will I also utter judgments against them. 13 Behold, he shall come up as clouds, and his chariots [shall be] as the whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled. 14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thine evil thoughts lodge within thee? 15 For a voice declareth from Dan, and publisheth evil from the hills of Ephraim: 16 make ye mention to the nations; behold, publish against Jerusalem, [that] watchers come from a far country, and give out their voice against the cities of Judah. 17 As keepers of a field are they against her round about; because she hath been rebellious against me, saith the LORD. 18 Thy way and thy doings have procured these things unto thee; this is thy wickedness; for it is bitter, for it reacheth unto thine heart. 19 My bowels, my bowels! I am pained at my very heart; my heart is disquieted in me; I cannot hold my peace; because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war. 20 Destruction upon destruction is cried; for the whole land is spoiled: suddenly are my tents spoiled, [and] my curtains in a moment. 21 How long shall I see the standard, and hear the sound of the trumpet? 22 For my people is foolish, they know me not; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge. 23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was waste and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved to and fro. 25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful field was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, [and] before his fierce anger. 27 For thus saith the LORD, The whole land shall be a desolation; yet will I not make a full end. 28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and I have not repented, neither will I turn back from it. 29 The whole city fleeth for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they go into the thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city is forsaken, and not a man dwelleth therein. 30 And thou, when thou art spoiled, what wilt thou do? Though thou clothest thyself with scarlet, though thou deckest thee with ornaments of gold, though thou enlargest thine eyes with paint, in vain dost thou make thyself fair; [thy] lovers despise thee, they seek thy life. 31 For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, the anguish as of her that bringeth forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that gaspeth for breath, that spreadeth her hands, [saying], Woe is me now! for my soul fainteth before the murderers.
