H3068 And the LORD H1696 spake [H8762]   H4872 unto Moses H559 , saying [H8800]  ,
H1696 Speak [H8761]   H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel H7725 , that they turn [H8799]   H2583 and encamp [H8799]   H6440 before H6367 Pihahiroth H4024 , between Migdol H3220 and the sea H6440 , over against H1189 Baalzephon H5226 : before H2583 it shall ye encamp [H8799]   H3220 by the sea.
H6547 For Pharaoh H559 will say [H8804]   H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H943 , They are entangled [H8737]   H776 in the land H4057 , the wilderness H5462 hath shut them in [H8804]  .
H2388 And I will harden [H8765]   H6547 Pharaoh's H3820 heart H7291 , that he shall follow [H8804]   H310 after H3513 them; and I will be honoured [H8735]   H6547 upon Pharaoh H2428 , and upon all his host H4714 ; that the Egyptians H3045 may know [H8804]   H3068 that I am the LORD H6213 . And they did [H8799]   so.
H5046 And it was told [H8714]   H4428 the king H4714 of Egypt H5971 that the people H1272 fled [H8804]   H3824 : and the heart H6547 of Pharaoh H5650 and of his servants H2015 was turned [H8735]   H5971 against the people H559 , and they said [H8799]   H6213 , Why have we done [H8804]   H3478 this, that we have let Israel H7971 go [H8765]   H5647 from serving [H8800]   us?
H631 And he made ready [H8799]   H7393 his chariot H3947 , and took [H8804]   H5971 his people with him:
H3947 And he took [H8799]   H8337 six H3967 hundred H977 chosen [H8803]   H7393 chariots H7393 , and all the chariots H4714 of Egypt H7991 , and captains over every one of them.
H3068 And the LORD H2388 hardened [H8762]   H3820 the heart H6547 of Pharaoh H4428 king H4714 of Egypt H7291 , and he pursued [H8799]   H310 after H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H1121 : and the children H3478 of Israel H3318 went out [H8802]   H7311 with an high [H8802]   H3027 hand.
H4714 But the Egyptians H7291 pursued [H8799]   H310 after H5483 them, all the horses H7393 and chariots H6547 of Pharaoh H6571 , and his horsemen H2428 , and his army H5381 , and overtook [H8686]   H2583 them encamping [H8802]   H3220 by the sea H6367 , beside Pihahiroth H6440 , before H1189 Baalzephon.
H6547 And when Pharaoh H7126 drew nigh [H8689]   H1121 , the children H3478 of Israel H5375 lifted up [H8799]   H5869 their eyes H4714 , and, behold, the Egyptians H5265 marched [H8802]   H310 after H3966 them; and they were sore H3372 afraid [H8799]   H1121 : and the children H3478 of Israel H6817 cried out [H8799]   H3068 unto the LORD.
H559 And they said [H8799]   H4872 unto Moses H6913 , Because there were no graves H4714 in Egypt H3947 , hast thou taken us away [H8804]   H4191 to die [H8800]   H4057 in the wilderness H2063 ? wherefore H6213 hast thou dealt [H8804]   H3318 thus with us, to carry us forth [H8687]   H4714 out of Egypt?
H1697 Is not this the word H1696 that we did tell [H8765]   H4714 thee in Egypt H559 , saying [H8800]   H2308 , Let us alone [H8798]   H5647 , that we may serve [H8799]   H4714 the Egyptians H2896 ? For it had been better H5647 for us to serve [H8800]   H4714 the Egyptians H4191 , than that we should die [H8800]   H4057 in the wilderness.
H4872 And Moses H559 said [H8799]   H5971 unto the people H3372 , Fear [H8799]   H3320 ye not, stand still [H8690]   H7200 , and see [H8798]   H3444 the salvation H3068 of the LORD H6213 , which he will shew [H8799]   H3117 to you to day H4714 : for the Egyptians H7200 whom ye have seen [H8804]   H3117 to day H7200 , ye shall see [H8800]   H3254 them again [H8686]   H5704 no more for H5769 ever.
H3068 The LORD H3898 shall fight [H8735]   H2790 for you, and ye shall hold your peace [H8686]  .
H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H4872 unto Moses H6817 , Wherefore criest [H8799]   H1696 thou unto me? speak [H8761]   H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel H5265 , that they go forward [H8799]  :
H7311 But lift thou up [H8685]   H4294 thy rod H5186 , and stretch out [H8798]   H3027 thine hand H3220 over the sea H1234 , and divide [H8798]   H1121 it: and the children H3478 of Israel H935 shall go [H8799]   H3004 on dry H8432 ground through the midst H3220 of the sea.
H2388 And I, behold, I will harden [H8764]   H3820 the hearts H4714 of the Egyptians H935 , and they shall follow [H8799]   H310 them H3513 : and I will get me honour [H8735]   H6547 upon Pharaoh H2428 , and upon all his host H7393 , upon his chariots H6571 , and upon his horsemen.
H4714 And the Egyptians H3045 shall know [H8804]   H3068 that I am the LORD H3513 , when I have gotten me honour [H8736]   H6547 upon Pharaoh H7393 , upon his chariots H6571 , and upon his horsemen.
H4397 And the angel H430 of God H1980 , which went [H8802]   H6440 before H4264 the camp H3478 of Israel H5265 , removed [H8799]   H3212 and went [H8799]   H310 behind H5982 them; and the pillar H6051 of the cloud H5265 went [H8799]   H6440 from before their face H5975 , and stood [H8799]   H310 behind them:
H935 And it came [H8799]   H4264 between the camp H4714 of the Egyptians H4264 and the camp H3478 of Israel H6051 ; and it was a cloud H2822 and darkness H215 to them, but it gave light [H8686]   H3915 by night H7126 to these : so that the one came not near [H8804]   H2088 the other H3915 all the night.
H4872 And Moses H5186 stretched out [H8799]   H3027 his hand H3220 over the sea H3068 ; and the LORD H3220 caused the sea H3212 to go [H8686]   H5794 back by a strong H6921 east H7307 wind H3915 all that night H7760 , and made [H8799]   H3220 the sea H2724 dry H4325 land, and the waters H1234 were divided [H8735]  .
H1121 And the children H3478 of Israel H935 went [H8799]   H8432 into the midst H3220 of the sea H3004 upon the dry H4325 ground : and the waters H2346 were a wall H3225 unto them on their right hand H8040 , and on their left.
H4714 And the Egyptians H7291 pursued [H8799]   H935 , and went in [H8799]   H310 after H8432 them to the midst H3220 of the sea H6547 , even all Pharaoh's H5483 horses H7393 , his chariots H6571 , and his horsemen.
H1242 And it came to pass, that in the morning H821 watch H3068 the LORD H8259 looked [H8686]   H4264 unto the host H4714 of the Egyptians H5982 through the pillar H784 of fire H6051 and of the cloud H2000 , and troubled [H8799]   H4264 the host H4714 of the Egyptians,
H5493 And took off [H8686]   H4818 their chariot H212 wheels H5090 , that they drave [H8762]   H3517 them heavily H4714 : so that the Egyptians H559 said [H8799]   H5127 , Let us flee [H8799]   H6440 from the face H3478 of Israel H3068 ; for the LORD H3898 fighteth [H8737]   H4714 for them against the Egyptians.
H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H4872 unto Moses H5186 , Stretch out [H8798]   H3027 thine hand H3220 over the sea H4325 , that the waters H7725 may come again [H8799]   H4714 upon the Egyptians H7393 , upon their chariots H6571 , and upon their horsemen.
H4872 And Moses H5186 stretched forth [H8799]   H3027 his hand H3220 over the sea H3220 , and the sea H7725 returned [H8799]   H386 to his strength H1242 when the morning H6437 appeared [H8800]   H4714 ; and the Egyptians H5127 fled [H8801]   H7125 against [H8800]   H3068 it; and the LORD H5287 overthrew [H8762]   H4714 the Egyptians H8432 in the midst H3220 of the sea.
H4325 And the waters H7725 returned [H8799]   H3680 , and covered [H8762]   H7393 the chariots H6571 , and the horsemen H2428 , and all the host H6547 of Pharaoh H935 that came [H8802]   H3220 into the sea H310 after H7604 them; there remained [H8738]   H5704 not so much as H259 one of them.
H1121 But the children H3478 of Israel H1980 walked [H8804]   H3004 upon dry H8432 land in the midst H3220 of the sea H4325 ; and the waters H2346 were a wall H3225 unto them on their right hand H8040 , and on their left.
H3068 Thus the LORD H3467 saved [H8686]   H3478 Israel H3117 that day H3027 out of the hand H4714 of the Egyptians H3478 ; and Israel H7200 saw [H8799]   H4714 the Egyptians H4191 dead [H8801]   H3220 upon the sea H8193 shore.
H3478 And Israel H7200 saw [H8799]   H1419 that great H3027 work H3068 which the LORD H6213 did [H8804]   H4714 upon the Egyptians H5971 : and the people H3372 feared [H8799]   H3068 the LORD H539 , and believed [H8686]   H3068 the LORD H5650 , and his servant H4872 Moses.
ERV(i) 1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, that they turn back and encamp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal-zephon: over against it shall ye encamp by the sea. 3 And Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, They are entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in. 4 And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he shall follow after them; and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host; and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD. And they did so. 5 And it was told the king of Egypt that the people were fled: and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was changed towards the people, and they said, What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us? 6 And he made ready his chariot, and took his people with him: 7 and he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over all of them. 8 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel, for the children of Israel went out with an high hand. 9 And the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses [and] chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, before Baal-zephon. 10 And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD. 11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to bring us forth out of Egypt? 12 Is not this the word that we spake unto thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it were better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. 13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14 The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. 15 And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward. 16 And lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go into the midst of the sea on dry ground. 17 And I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall go in after them: and I will get me honour upon Pharaoh, and upon all his host, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. 18 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen. 19 And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud removed from before them, and stood behind them: 20 and it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness, yet gave it light by night: and the one came not near the other all the night. 21 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go [back] by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. 22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. 23 And the Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. 24 And it came to pass in the morning watch, that the LORD looked forth upon the host of the Egyptians through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and discomfited the host of the Egyptians. 25 And he took off their chariot wheels, that they drave them heavily: so that the Egyptians said, Let us flee from the face of Israel; for the LORD fighteth for them against the Egyptians. 26 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. 27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. 28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, even all the host of Pharaoh that went in after them into the sea; there remained not so much as one of them. 29 But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left. 30 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians; and Israel saw the Egyptians dead upon the sea shore. 31 And Israel saw the great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians, and the people feared the LORD: and they believed in the LORD, and in his servant Moses.
