Isaiah 33

KJV_Strongs(i)
H1945 Woe H7703 to thee that spoilest [H8802]   H7703 , and thou wast not spoiled [H8803]   H898 ; and dealest treacherously [H8802]   H898 , and they dealt not treacherously [H8804]   H8552 with thee! when thou shalt cease [H8687]   H7703 to spoil [H8802]   H7703 , thou shalt be spoiled [H8714]   H5239 ; and when thou shalt make an end [H8687]   H898 to deal treacherously [H8800]   H898 , they shall deal treacherously [H8799]   with thee.
H3068 O LORD H2603 , be gracious [H8798]   H6960 unto us; we have waited [H8765]   H2220 for thee: be thou their arm H1242 every morning H3444 , our salvation H6256 also in the time H6869 of trouble.
H6963 At the noise H1995 of the tumult H5971 the people H5074 fled [H8804]   H7427 ; at the lifting up H1471 of thyself the nations H5310 were scattered [H8804]  .
H7998 And your spoil H622 shall be gathered [H8795]   H625 like the gathering H2625 of the caterpiller H4944 : as the running to and fro H1357 of locusts H8264 shall he run [H8802]   upon them.
H3068 The LORD H7682 is exalted [H8737]   H7931 ; for he dwelleth [H8802]   H4791 on high H4390 : he hath filled [H8765]   H6726 Zion H4941 with judgment H6666 and righteousness.
H2451 And wisdom H1847 and knowledge H530 shall be the stability H6256 of thy times H2633 , and strength H3444 of salvation H3374 : the fear H3068 of the LORD H214 is his treasure.
H691 Behold, their valiant ones H6817 shall cry [H8804]   H2351 without H4397 : the ambassadors H7965 of peace H1058 shall weep [H8799]   H4751 bitterly.
H4546 The highways H8074 lie waste [H8738]   H5674 , the wayfaring man [H8802]   H734   H7673 ceaseth [H8804]   H6565 : he hath broken [H8689]   H1285 the covenant H3988 , he hath despised [H8804]   H5892 the cities H2803 , he regardeth [H8804]   H582 no man.
H776 The earth H56 mourneth [H8804]   H535 and languisheth [H8797]   H3844 : Lebanon H2659 is ashamed [H8689]   H7060 and hewn down [H8804]   H8289 : Sharon H6160 is like a wilderness H1316 ; and Bashan H3760 and Carmel H5287 shake off [H8802]   their fruits .
H6965 Now will I rise [H8799]   H559 , saith [H8799]   H3068 the LORD H7426 ; now will I be exalted [H8735]   H5375 ; now will I lift up [H8735]   myself.
H2029 Ye shall conceive [H8799]   H2842 chaff H3205 , ye shall bring forth [H8799]   H7179 stubble H7307 : your breath H784 , as fire H398 , shall devour [H8799]   you.
H5971 And the people H4955 shall be as the burnings H7875 of lime H6975 : as thorns H3683 cut up [H8803]   H3341 shall they be burned [H8799]   H784 in the fire.
H8085 Hear [H8798]   H7350 , ye that are far off H6213 , what I have done [H8804]   H7138 ; and, ye that are near H3045 , acknowledge [H8798]   H1369 my might.
H2400 The sinners H6726 in Zion H6342 are afraid [H8804]   H7461 ; fearfulness H270 hath surprised [H8804]   H2611 the hypocrites H1481 . Who among us shall dwell [H8799]   H398 with the devouring [H8802]   H784 fire H1481 ? who among us shall dwell [H8799]   H5769 with everlasting H4168 burnings?
H1980 He that walketh [H8802]   H6666 righteously H1696 , and speaketh [H8802]   H4339 uprightly H3988 ; he that despiseth [H8802]   H1215 the gain H4642 of oppressions H5287 , that shaketh [H8802]   H3709 his hands H8551 from holding [H8800]   H7810 of bribes H331 , that stoppeth [H8801]   H241 his ears H8085 from hearing [H8800]   H1818 of blood H6105 , and shutteth [H8802]   H5869 his eyes H7200 from seeing [H8800]   H7451 evil;
H7931 He shall dwell [H8799]   H4791 on high H4869 : his place of defence H4679 shall be the munitions H5553 of rocks H3899 : bread H5414 shall be given [H8737]   H4325 him; his waters H539 shall be sure [H8737]  .
H5869 Thine eyes H2372 shall see [H8799]   H4428 the king H3308 in his beauty H7200 : they shall behold [H8799]   H776 the land H4801 that is very far off.
H3820 Thine heart H1897 shall meditate [H8799]   H367 terror H5608 . Where is the scribe [H8802]   H8254 ? where is the receiver [H8802]   H5608 ? where is he that counted [H8802]   H4026 the towers?
H7200 Thou shalt not see [H8799]   H3267 a fierce [H8737]   H5971 people H5971 , a people H6012 of a deeper H8193 speech H8085 than thou canst perceive [H8800]   H3932 ; of a stammering [H8737]   H3956 tongue H998 , that thou canst not understand.
H2372 Look [H8798]   H6726 upon Zion H7151 , the city H4150 of our solemnities H5869 : thine eyes H7200 shall see [H8799]   H3389 Jerusalem H7600 a quiet H5116 habitation H168 , a tabernacle H6813 that shall not be taken down [H8799]   H3489 ; not one of the stakes H5331 thereof shall ever H5265 be removed [H8799]   H2256 , neither shall any of the cords H5423 thereof be broken [H8735]  .
H117 But there the glorious H3068 LORD H4725 will be unto us a place H7342 of broad H3027   H5104 rivers H2975 and streams H3212 ; wherein shall go [H8799]   H1077 no H590 galley H7885 with oars H117 , neither shall gallant H6716 ship H5674 pass [H8799]   thereby.
H3068 For the LORD H8199 is our judge [H8802]   H3068 , the LORD H2710 is our lawgiver [H8781]   H3068 , the LORD H4428 is our king H3467 ; he will save [H8686]   us.
H2256 Thy tacklings H5203 are loosed [H8738]   H3653 ; they could not well H2388 strengthen [H8762]   H8650 their mast H6566 , they could not spread [H8804]   H5251 the sail H5706 : then is the prey H4766 of a great H7998 spoil H2505 divided [H8795]   H6455 ; the lame H962 take [H8804]   H957 the prey.
H7934 And the inhabitant H559 shall not say [H8799]   H2470 , I am sick [H8804]   H5971 : the people H3427 that dwell [H8802]   H5375 therein shall be forgiven [H8803]   H5771 their iniquity.
ERV(i) 1 Woe to thee that spoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest treacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! When thou hast ceased to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou hast made an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee. 2 O LORD, be gracious unto us; we have waited for thee: be thou their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble. 3 At the noise of the tumult the peoples are fled; at the lifting up of thyself the nations are scattered. 4 And your spoil shall be gathered as the caterpiller gathereth: as locusts leap shall they leap upon it. 5 The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness. 6 And there shall be stability in thy times, abundance of salvation, wisdom and knowledge: the fear of the LORD is his treasure. 7 Behold, their valiant ones cry without: the ambassadors of peace weep bitterly. 8 The highways lie waste, the wayfaring man ceaseth: he hath broken the covenant, he hath despised the cities, he regardeth not man. 9 The land mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and withereth away: Sharon is like a desert; and Bashan and Carmel shake off [their leaves]. 10 How will I arise, saith the LORD; now will I lift up myself; now will I be exalted. 11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath is a fire that shall devour you. 12 And the peoples shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut down, that are burned in the fire. 13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might. 14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling hath surprised the godless ones. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? 15 He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes from looking upon evil; 16 He shall dwell on high: his place of defence shall be the munitions of rocks: his bread shall be given [him]; his waters shall be sure. 17 Thine eyes shall see the king in his beauty: they shall behold a far stretching land. 18 Thine heart shall muse on the terror: where is he that counted, where is he that weighed [the tribute]? where is he that counted the towers? 19 Thou shalt not see the fierce people, a people of a deep speech that thou canst not perceive; of a strange tongue that thou canst not understand. 20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation, a tent that shall not be removed, the stakes whereof shall never be plucked up, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken. 21 But there the LORD will be with us in majesty, a place of broad rivers and streams; wherein shall go no galley with oars, neither shall gallant ship pass thereby. 22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us. 23 Thy tacklings are loosed; they could not strengthen the foot of their mast, they could not spread the sail: then was the prey of a great spoil divided; the lame took the prey. 24 And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.
