Isaiah 7 And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up to Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.

2 H5046 And it was told H1004 the house H1732 of David, H559 saying, H758 Syria H5117 is confederate H669 with Ephraim. H3824 And his heart H5128 trembled, H3824 and the heart H5971 of his people, H6086 as the trees H3293 of the forest H5128 tremble H6440 with H7307 the wind.

3 H559 Then said H3068 Jehovah H3470 unto Isaiah, H3318 Go forth H7125 now to meet H271 Ahaz, H7610 thou, and Shear-jashub H1121 thy son, H7097 at the end H8585 of the conduit H5945 of the upper H1295 pool, H4546 in the highway H3526 of the fuller's H7704 field;

4 H559 and say H8104 unto him, Take heed, H8252 and be quiet; H3372 fear H7401 not, neither let thy heart be faint, H8147 because of these two H2180 tails H6226 of smoking H181 firebrands, H2750 for the fierce H639 anger H7526 of Rezin H758 and Syria, H1121 and of the son H7425 of Remaliah.

5 H758 Because Syria, H669 Ephraim, H1121 and the son H7425 of Remaliah, H3289 have purposed H7451 evil H559 against thee, saying,

6 H5927 Let us go up H3063 against Judah, H6973 and vex H1234 it, and let us make a breach H4427 therein for us, and set H4428 up a king H8432 in the midst H1121 of it, even the son H2870 of Tabeel;

7 H3541 thus H559 saith H136 the Lord H3069 Jehovah, H6965 It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.

8 H7218 For the head H758 of Syria H1834 is Damascus, H7218 and the head H1834 of Damascus H7526 is Rezin; H8346 and within threescore H2568 and five H8141 years H669 shall Ephraim H2865 be broken H5971 in pieces, so that it shall not be a people:

9 H7218 and the head H669 of Ephraim H8111 is Samaria, H7218 and the head H8111 of Samaria H7425 is Remaliah's H1121 son. H539 If ye will not believe, H539 surely ye shall not be established.

10 H3068 And Jehovah H1696 spake H3254 again H271 unto Ahaz, H559 saying,

11 H7592 Ask H226 thee a sign H3068 of Jehovah H430 thy God; H7592 ask H6009 it either in the depth, H1361 or in the height H4605 above.

12 H271 But Ahaz H559 said, H7592 I will not ask, H5254 neither will I tempt H3068 Jehovah.

13 H559 And he said, H8085 Hear H1004 ye now, O house H1732 of David: H4592 Is it a small thing H3811 for you to weary H582 men, H3811 that ye will weary H430 my God also?

14 H136 Therefore the Lord H5414 himself will give H226 you a sign: H5959 behold, a virgin H2030 shall conceive, H3205 and bear H1121 a son, H7121 and shall call H8034 his name H6005 Immanuel.

15 H2529 Butter H1706 and honey H398 shall he eat, H3045 when he knoweth H3988 to refuse H7451 the evil, H977 and choose H2896 the good.

17 H3068 Jehovah H935 will bring H5971 upon thee, and upon thy people, H1 and upon thy father's H1004 house, H3117 days H935 that have not come, H3117 from the day H669 that Ephraim H5493 departed H3063 from Judah— H4428 even the king H804 of Assyria.

18 H3117 And it shall come to pass in that day, H3068 that Jehovah H8319 will hiss H2070 for the fly H7097 that is in the uttermost part H2975 of the rivers H4714 of Egypt, H1682 and for the bee H776 that is in the land H804 of Assyria.

19 H935 And they shall come, H5117 and shall rest H1327 all of them in the desolate H5158 valleys, H5357 and in the clefts H5553 of the rocks, H5285 and upon all thorn-hedges, H5097 and upon all pastures.

20 H3117 In that day H136 will the Lord H1548 shave H8593 with a razor H7917 that is hired H5676 in the parts beyond H5104 the River, H4428 even with the king H804 of Assyria, H7218 the head H8181 and the hair H7272 of the feet; H5595 and it shall also consume H2206 the beard.

21 H3117 And it shall come to pass in that day, H376 that a man H2421 shall keep alive H1241 a young H5697 cow, H8147 and two H6629 sheep;

22 H7230 and it shall come to pass, that because of the abundance H2461 of milk H6213 which they shall give H398 he shall eat H2529 butter: H2529 for butter H1706 and honey H398 shall every one eat H3498 that is left H7130 in H776 the midst of the land.

23 H3117 And it shall come to pass in that day, H4725 that every place, H505 where there were a thousand H1612 vines H505 at a thousand H3701 silverlings, H8068 shall be for briers H7898 and thorns.

24 H2671 With arrows H7198 and with bow H935 shall one come H776 thither, because all the land H8068 shall be briers H7898 and thorns.

25 H2022 And all the hills H5737 that were digged H4576 with the mattock, H935 thou shalt not come thither H3374 for fear H8068 of briers H7898 and thorns; H4916 but it shall be for the sending forth H7794 of oxen, H4823 and for the treading H7716 of sheep.
