Isaiah 7 And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it.

2 H5046 And it was told H1004 the house H1732 of David, H559 saying, H758 Syria H5117 is confederate H669 with Ephraim. H3824 And his heart H5128 was moved, H3824 and the heart H5971 of his people, H6086 as the trees H3293 of the wood H5128 are moved H7307 with the wind.

3 H559 Then said H3068 the LORD H3470 to Isaiah, H3318 Go H3318 forth H4994 now H7125 to meet H271 Ahaz, H7610 you, and Shearjashub H1121 your son, H413 at H7097 the end H8585 of the conduit H5945 of the upper H1295 pool H4546 in the highway H3526 of the fuller’s H7704 field;

4 H559 And say H8104 to him, Take heed, H8252 and be quiet; H3372 fear H408 not, neither H3824 be fainthearted H7401 H8147 for the two H2180 tails H428 of these H6226 smoking H181 firebrands, H2750 for the fierce H639 anger H7526 of Rezin H758 with Syria, H1121 and of the son H7425 of Remaliah.

5 H3282 Because H3588 H758 Syria, H669 Ephraim, H1121 and the son H7425 of Remaliah, H7451 have taken evil H3289 counsel H5921 against H559 you, saying,

6 H5927 Let us go H3063 up against Judah, H6973 and vex H1234 it, and let us make a breach H4428 therein for us, and set a king H8432 in the middle H1121 of it, even the son H2870 of Tabeal:

7 H3541 Thus H559 said H136 the Lord H3069 GOD, H6965 It shall not stand, H3808 neither H1961 shall it come to pass.

8 H7218 For the head H758 of Syria H1834 is Damascus, H7218 and the head H1834 of Damascus H7526 is Rezin; H7657 and within three score H2568 and five H8141 years H669 shall Ephraim H2844 be broken, H5971 that it be not a people.

9 H7218 And the head H669 of Ephraim H8111 is Samaria, H7218 and the head H8111 of Samaria H7425 is Remaliah’s H1121 son. H518 If H539 you will not believe, H3588 surely H539 you shall not be established.

10 H3068 Moreover the LORD H1696 spoke H3254 again H271 to Ahaz, H559 saying,

11 H7592 Ask H226 you a sign H3068 of the LORD H430 your God; H7592 ask H6009 it either in the depth, H176 or H1361 in the height H4605 above.

12 H271 But Ahaz H559 said, H7592 I will not ask, H3808 neither H5254 will I tempt H3068 the LORD.

13 H559 And he said, H8085 Hear H4994 you now, H1004 O house H1732 of David; H4592 Is it a small H3811 thing for you to weary H582 men, H3811 but will you weary H430 my God H1571 also?

14 H3651 Therefore H136 the Lord H1931 himself H5414 shall give H226 you a sign; H2009 Behold, H5959 a virgin H2030 shall conceive, H3205 and bear H1121 a son, H7121 and shall call H8034 his name H6005 Immanuel.

21 H1961 And it shall come H3117 to pass in that day, H376 that a man H2421 shall nourish H1241 a young H5697 cow, H8147 and two H6629 sheep;

22 H1961 And it shall come H7230 to pass, for the abundance H2461 of milk H6213 that they shall give H398 he shall eat H2529 butter: H2529 for butter H1706 and honey H3605 shall every H398 one eat H3498 that is left H776 in the land.

23 H1961 And it shall come H3117 to pass in that day, H3605 that every H4725 place H834 shall be, where H505 there were a thousand H1612 vines H505 at a thousand H3701 silver coins, H8068 it shall even be for briers H7898 and thorns.

24 H2671 With arrows H7198 and with bows H935 shall men come H8033 thither; H3588 because H3605 all H776 the land H1961 shall become H8068 briers H7898 and thorns.
