Jeremiah 44 The word coming to Jeremiah to all the Jews dwelling in the land of Egypt, and to the ones settling in Migdol, and in Tahpanhes, and in Memphis, and in the land of Pathros, saying,

2 G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord G3588 of the G1411 forces, G3588 the G2316 God G* of Israel, G1473 You G3708 have seen G3956 all G3588 the G2556 evils G3739 which G1863 I brought G1909 upon G* Jerusalem, G2532 and G1909 upon G3588 the G4172 cities G* of Judah. G2532 And G2400 behold, G1510.2.6 they are G2048 desolate G4594 today G575 of G1774 ones dwelling,

3 G575 because of G4383 the face G4189 of their wickedness G1473 G3739 of which G4160 they did G3893 to greatly embitter G1473 me; G4198 going G2370 to burn incense G2316 [²gods G2087 ¹to other] G3739 which G3756 [²knew not G1097 G1473 ¹they], G2532 even G1473 you, G2532 and G3588 G3962 your fathers. G1473

4 G2532 And G649 I sent G4314 to G1473 you G3588 G3816 my servants G1473 G3588 the G4396 prophets G3722 early. G2532 And G649 I sent G3004 saying, G3361 You shall not G4160 do G3588 this G4229 thing, G3588 G3434.2 this contamination G3778 G3739 of which G3404 I detested.

5 G2532 And G3756 they did not G191 hearken to G1473 me, G2532 and G3756 they did not G2827 lean G3588 G3775 their ear G1473 G654 to turn G575 from G3588 G2556 their evils G1473 G4314 to G3588 G3361 not G2370 burn incense G2316 [²gods G2087 ¹to other].

6 G2532 And G4712.1 [²dripped upon them G3588 G3709 ¹my anger], G1473 G2532 and G3588 G2372 my rage, G1473 G2532 and G1572 it was kindled G1722 in G4172 the cities G* of Judah, G2532 and G1855 outside G* Jerusalem. G2532 And G1096 they became G1519 for G2050 desolation G2532 and G1519 for G4.2 an untrodden place, G5613 as G2250 this day. G3778

7 G2532 And G3568 now G3779 thus G2036 said G2962 the lord G3841 almighty, G3588 the G2316 God G* of Israel, G2444 Why G1473 do you G4160 do G2556 [²evils G3173 ¹great] G1909 against G5590 your souls? G1473 G1581 to cut off G1473 from you, G435 man G2532 and G1135 woman, G3516 infant G2532 and G2337 one nursing, G1537 from G3319 the midst G* of Judah, G4314 to G3588 G3361 not G2641 leave behind G1473 for yourselves G3367 not one person;

8 G3893 to embitter me greatly G1473 G1722 in G3588 the G2041 works G3588 G5495 of your hands, G1473 G2370 to burn incense G2316 to other gods G2087 G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Egypt, G1519 into G3739 which G1525 you entered G2730 to dwell G1563 there, G2443 that G1581 you should be cut off, G2532 and G2443 that G1096 you should become G1519 as G2671 a curse G2532 and G1519 for G3680 scorning G1722 among G3956 all G3588 the G1484 nations G3588 of the G1093 earth.

9 G3361 Have you G1950 yourselves forgotten G1473 G3588 the G2556 evils G3588 G3962 of your fathers, G1473 G2532 and G3588 the G2556 evils G3588 of the G935 kings G* of Judah, G2532 and G3588 the G2556 evils G3588 G758 of your rulers, G1473 G2532 and G3588 the G2556 evils G3588 G1135 of your wives, G1473 G3739 which G4160 they did G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Judah, G2532 and G1855 outside G* of Jerusalem?

10 G2532 And G3756 they did not G3973 cease G2193 unto G3588 G2250 this day. G3778 G2532 And G3756 they feared not, G5399 G2532 and G3756 held not to G472 G3588 G4366.2 my orders G1473 G3739 which G1325 I put G2596 in front G4383 G1473 of them, G2532 and G2596 in front G4383 G3588 G3962 of their fathers. 11 G1223 On account of G3778 this, G3779 thus G2036 said G2962 the lord G3588 of the G1411 forces, G3588 the G2316 God G* of Israel; G2400 Behold, G1473 I G2186 set G3588 G4383 my face G1473 G1909 against G1473 you G1519 for G2556 evil, G3588 G622 to destroy G3956 all G* Judah.

12 G2532 And G2983 I shall take G3588 the G2645 remnant G* of Judah, G3588 the ones G5087 that established G3588 G4383 their face G1473 G3588 G1525 to enter G1519 into G1093 the land G* of Egypt G3588 G2730 to dwell G1563 there, G2532 and G1587 they shall fail G3956 all G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Egypt. G2532 And G4098 they shall fall G1722 by G4501 broadsword, G2532 and G1722 [²by G3042 ³famine G1587 ¹they shall fail], G575 from G3397 small G2193 unto G3173 great. G2532 And G1510.8.6 they will be G1519 for G3680 scorning, G2532 and G1519 for G684 destruction, G2532 and G1519 for G2671 a curse.

13 G2532 And G1980 I will visit G1909 against G3588 the ones G2521 settling G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Egypt, G5613 as G1980 I visited G1909 against G* Jerusalem G1722 by G4501 broadsword, G2532 and G1722 by G3042 famine, G2532 and G1722 by G2288 plague.

14 G2532 And G3756 there shall not G1510.8.3 be G4982 one escaping, G3762 not one G3588 of the ones G1954 remaining G* of Judah, G3588 of the ones G3939 sojourning G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Egypt, G3588 G1994 to return G1519 into G1093 the land G* of Judah G1909 upon G3739 which G1473 they G1679 hope G3588 in G5590 their souls G1473 G3588 G1994 to return G1563 there. G3766.2 In no way G1994 shall they return, G1508 except G3588 the ones G391.2 escaping.

15 G2532 And G611 they answered G3588 to G* Jeremiah -- G3956 all G3588 the G435 men G3588 G1097 knowing G3754 that G2370 [²burned incense G3588 G1135 ¹their wives G1473 G2316 ⁴gods G2087 ³to other], G2532 and G3956 all G3588 the G1135 women, G4864 [²gathering G3173 ¹a great], G2532 and G3956 all G3588 the G2992 people G3588 G2521 settling down G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Egypt G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Pathros, G3004 saying,

16 G3588 The G3056 word G3739 which G2980 you spoke G4314 to G1473 us G3588 in the G3686 name G2962 of the lord, G3756 we will not G191 hearken to G1473 you.

17 G3754 For G4160 in doing G4160 we will do G3956 all G3588 the G3056 matter G3739 which G1831 shall come forth G1537 out of G3588 G4750 our mouth G1473 G2370 to burn incense G3588 to the G938 queen G3588 G3772 of heaven, G2532 and G4689 to offer G1473 to her G4700.2 libations, G2505 as G4160 we did G1473 ourselves, G2532 and G3588 G3962 our fathers, G1473 G2532 and G3588 G935 our kings, G1473 G2532 and G3588 G758 our rulers G1473 G1722 in G4172 the cities G* of Judah, G2532 and G1855 outside G* Jerusalem. G2532 And G4130 we were filled G740 of bread loaves, G2532 and G1096 we were G5543 better off, G2532 and G2556 [³bad things G3756 ¹we did not G1492 ²see].

18 G2532 And G5613 as G1257 we stopped G2370 burning incense G3588 to the G938 queen G3588 of the G3772 heaven, G2532 and G4689 offering a libation G1473 to her G4700.2 of a libation, G1639.2 [²were ⁴made less G3956 G3956 ³all G1473 ¹we], G2532 and G1722 by G4501 broadsword G2532 and G1722 by G3042 famine G1587 we failed.

19 G2532 And G3754 seeing that G1473 we G2370 burned incense G3588 to the G938 queen G3588 G3772 of heaven, G2532 and G4689 offered G1473 to her G4700.2 libations, G3361 did we G427 without G3588 G435 our husbands G1473 G4160 make G1473 to her G5490.1 cakes, G2532 and G4689 offer G4700.2 libations G1473 to her?

20 G2532 And G2036 Jeremiah said G* G3956 to all G3588 the G2992 people, G3588 to the G1415 mighty men, G2532 and G3588 to the G1135 women, G2532 and G3956 to all G3588 the G2992 people G3588 G611 responding G1473 to him G3056 with words, G3004 saying,

21 G3780 Did not, G3588 concerning the G2368 incense G3739 of which G2370 you burned G1722 in G3588 the G4172 cities G* of Judah, G2532 and G1855 outside G* Jerusalem, G1473 you G2532 and G3588 G3962 your fathers, G1473 G2532 and G3588 G935 your kings, G1473 G2532 and G3588 G758 your rulers, G1473 G2532 and G3588 the G2992 people G3588 of the G1093 land, G3403 the lord remember? G2962 G2532 even G305 it ascended G1909 unto G3588 G2588 his heart. G1473

22 G2532 And G3756 [²was not G1410 ³able G2962 ¹ the lord] G2089 still G5342 to bear up G575 from G4383 in front G4189 of the wickedness G4229 of your deeds, G1473 G2532 and G575 from G3588 G946 your abominations G1473 G3739 which G4160 you did; G2532 and G1096 [²became G3588 G1093 ¹your land] G1473 G1519 for G2050 desolation, G2532 and G1519 for G4.2 an untrodden place, G2532 and G1519 for G685 a curse, G5613 as G3588 G2250 this day; G1473

23 G575 from G4383 in front of G3739 which G2370 you burned incense, G2532 and G3739 which G264 you sinned G3588 against the G2962 lord, G2532 and G3756 hearkened not to G1522 G3588 the G5456 voice G2962 of the lord, G2532 and G1722 to G3588 G4366.2 his orders, G1473 G2532 and G1722 to G3588 G3551 his law; G1473 G2532 and G1722 by G3588 G3142 his testimonies G1473 G3756 you did not G4198 go; G2532 and G1949 [²took hold of G1473 ³you G3588 G2556 ¹these evils] G1473 G5613 as G3588 G2250 this day. G3778

24 G2532 And G2036 Jeremiah said G* G3588 to the G2992 people, G2532 and G3588 to the G1135 women, G191 Hear G3588 the G3056 the word G2962 of the lord G3956 all G* Judah, G3588 the ones G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Egypt!

25 G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord G3588 G2316 God G* of Israel, G1473 You G2532 and G3588 G1135 your women G3588 [² with G4750 ³your mouth G1473 G2980 ¹spoke], G2532 and G3588 G5495 [²by your hands G1473 G4137 ¹fulfilled], G3004 saying, G4160 In offering, G4160 we shall offer G3588 G3671 our acknowledgment offerings G1473 G3739 which G3670 we acknowledged, G2370 to burn incense G3588 to the G938 queen G3588 G3772 of heaven, G2532 and G4689 to offer G1473 to her G4700.2 libations. G1696 In adhering G1696 you adhered to G3588 G3671 your acknowledgment offerings, G1473 G2532 and G4160 the offerings G4160 which you offered.

26 G1223 On account of G3778 this, G191 hear G3056 the word G2962 of the lord G3956 all G* Judah G3588 G2521 settling down G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Egypt! G2400 Behold, G3660 I swore by an oath G3588 to G3686 [³name G1473 ¹my G3588 G3173 ²great], G2036 said G2962 the lord . G1437 [²shall G1096 ⁴be G2089 ³no longer G3686 ¹My name] G1473 G1722 in G3588 the G4750 mouth G3956 of all G* Judah G2036 to say, G2198 Live G2962 O Lord G2962 the lord, G1722 in G3956 all G1093 the land G* of Egypt.

27 G3754 For G2400 behold, G1473 I G1453 have been vigilant G1909 against G1473 them, G3588 G2559 to inflict hurt G1473 on them, G2532 and G3756 to not G18.1 do good. G2532 And G1587 [⁷shall fail G3956 ¹all G* ²Judah G3588 G2730 ³dwelling G1722 ⁴in G1093 ⁵ the land G* ⁶of Egypt] G1722 by G4501 broadsword, G2532 and G1722 by G3042 famine, G2193 until G302 whenever G1587 they shall cease.

28 G2532 And G3588 the ones G4982 escaping G575 from G4501 the broadsword G1994 shall return G1519 into G1093 the land G* of Judah G3641 being few G706 in number. G2532 And G1097 [⁵shall know G3956 ¹all G3588 ²the G2645 ³remnant G* ⁴of Judah], G3588 the ones G3939 sojourning G1722 in G1093 the land G* of Egypt G3939 to sojourn G1563 there, G3056 whose word G5100 G1696 will adhere, G3588 G1699 mine G2228 or G3588 G1473 theirs.

29 G2532 And G3778 this G3588 is the G4592 sign, G3004 says G2962 the lord, G1473 to you, G3754 That G1980 I myself will visit G1473 G1909 upon G1473 you G1722 in G3588 G5117 this place, G3778 G2443 that G1097 you should know G3754 that G1696 [²shall adhere G3588 G3056 ¹my words] G1473 G1909 unto G1473 you G1519 for G2556 evils.

30 G3779 Thus G2036 said G2962 the lord, G2400 Behold, G1473 I G1325 give G3588 G* Pharaoh G* Hophra G935 king G* of Egypt G1519 into G5495 the hands G2190 of his enemy, G1473 G2532 and G1519 into G5495 the hands G2212 of ones seeking G3588 G5590 his life; G1473 G2505 as G1325 I have given G3588 G* Zedekiah G935 king G* of Judah G1519 into G5495 the hands G* of Nebuchadnezzar G935 king G* of Babylon, G2190 his enemy, G1473 G2532 and G2212 the one seeking G3588 G5590 his life.
