Numbers 8:1-26 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

1 H3068 And the LORD H1696 [H8762] spoke H4872 to Moses, H559 [H8800] saying,

2 H1696 [H8761] Speak H175 to Aaron, H559 [H8804] and say H5927 [H8687] to him, When thou lightest H5216 the lamps, H7651 the seven H5216 lamps H215 [H8686] shall give light H6440 H4136 opposite H4501 the lampstand.

3 H175 And Aaron H6213 [H8799] did H5927 [H8689] so; he lighted H5216 its lamps H4136 H6440 opposite H4501 the lampstand, H3068 as the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H4872 Moses.

4 H4639 And this work H4501 of the lampstand H4749 was of beaten H2091 gold, H3409 to its shaft, H6525 to the flowers H4749 of it, was beaten work: H4758 according to the pattern H3068 which the LORD H7200 [H8689] had showed H4872 Moses, H6213 [H8804] so he made H4501 the lampstand.

5 H3068 And the LORD H1696 [H8762] spoke H4872 to Moses, H559 [H8800] saying,

6 H3947 [H8798] Take H3881 the Levites H8432 from among H1121 the sons H3478 of Israel, H2891 [H8765] and cleanse them.

7 H6213 [H8799] And thus shalt thou do H2891 [H8763] to them, to cleanse H5137 [H8685] them: Sprinkle H4325 water H2403 of purifying H8593 H5674 [H8689] upon them, and let them shave H1320 all their flesh, H3526 [H8765] and let them wash H899 their clothes, H2891 [H8694] and so make themselves clean.

8 H3947 [H8804] Then let them take H1121 H1241 a young H6499 bull H4503 with its meat offering, H5560 even fine flour H1101 [H8803] mixed H8081 with oil, H8145 and another H1121 H1241 young H6499 bull H3947 [H8799] shalt thou take H2403 for a sin offering.

9 H7126 [H8689] And thou shalt bring H3881 the Levites H6440 at the face of H168 the tent H4150 of meeting: H6950 [H8689] and thou shalt congregate H3605 the whole H5712 company H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel:

10 H7126 [H8689] And thou shalt bring H3881 the Levites H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD: H1121 and the sons H3478 of Israel H5564 [H8804] shall put H3027 their hands H3881 upon the Levites:

11 H175 And Aaron H5130 [H8689] shall offer H3881 the Levites H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD H8573 for an offering H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel, H5647 [H8800] that they may execute H5656 the service H3068 of the LORD.

12 H3881 And the Levites H5564 [H8799] shall lay H3027 their hands H7218 upon the heads H6499 of the bulls: H6213 [H8798] and thou shalt offer H259 the one H2403 for a sin offering, H259 and the other H5930 for a burnt offering, H3068 to the LORD, H3722 [H8763] to make an atonement H3881 for the Levites.

13 H5975 [H8689] And thou shalt set H3881 the Levites H6440 at the face of H175 Aaron, H6440 and at the face of H1121 his sons, H5130 [H8689] and offer H8573 them for an offering H3068 to the LORD.

14 H914 [H8689] Thus shalt thou separate H3881 the Levites H8432 from among H1121 the sons H3478 of Israel: H3881 and the Levites shall be mine.

15 H310 And after H3881 that shall the Levites H935 [H8799] go in H5647 [H8800] to perform the service H168 of the tent H4150 of meeting H2891 [H8765] and thou shalt cleanse H5130 [H8689] them, and offer H8573 them for an offering.

16 H5414 [H8803] For they are wholly given H8432 to me from among H1121 the sons H3478 of Israel; H6363 instead of such as open H7358 every womb, H1060 even instead of the firstborn H1121 of all the sons H3478 of Israel, H3947 [H8804] have I taken them to me.

17 H1060 For all the firstborn H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel H120 are mine, both man H929 and beast: H3117 on the day H5221 [H8687] that I smote H1060 every firstborn H776 in the land H4714 of Egypt H6942 [H8689] I sanctified them for myself.

18 H3947 [H8799] And I have taken H3881 the Levites H1060 for all the firstborn H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel.

19 H5414 [H8799] And I have given H3881 the Levites H5414 [H8803] as a gift H175 to Aaron H1121 and to his sons H8432 from among H1121 the sons H3478 of Israel, H5647 [H8800] to do H5656 the service H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel H168 in the tent H4150 of meeting H3722 [H8763] and to make an atonement H1121 for the sons H3478 of Israel: H5063 that there may be no plague H1121 among the sons H3478 of Israel, H1121 when the sons H3478 of Israel H5066 [H8800] come near H6944 to the sanctuary.

20 H4872 And Moses, H175 and Aaron, H9002 and H3605 all H5712 the company H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel, H6213 [H8799] did H3881 to the Levites H3068 according to all that the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H4872 Moses H3881 concerning the Levites, H6213 [H8804] so did H1121 the sons H3478 of Israel to them.

21 H3881 And the Levites H2398 [H8691] were purified, H3526 [H8762] and they washed H899 their clothes; H175 and Aaron H5130 [H8686] offered H8573 them as an offering H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD; H175 and Aaron H3722 [H8762] made an atonement H2891 [H8763] for them to cleanse them.

22 H310 And after H935 [H8804] that went H3881 the Levites H5647 [H8800] in to perform H5656 their service H168 in the tent H4150 of meeting H6440 at the face of H175 Aaron, H6440 and at the face of H1121 his sons: H3068 as the LORD H6680 [H8765] had commanded H4872 Moses H3881 concerning the Levites, H6213 [H8804] so did they to them.

23 H3068 And the LORD H1696 [H8762] spoke H4872 to Moses, H559 [H8800] saying,

24 H3881 This is it that which pertaineth to the Levites: H6242 from twenty H2568 and five H8141 years H1121 old H4605 and upward H935 [H8799] they shall go in H6633 H6635 [H8800] to wait H5656 upon the service H168 of the tent H4150 of meeting

25 H1121 And from the age H2572 of fifty H8141 years H7725 [H8799] they shall cease H6635 waiting H5656 upon the service H5647 [H8799] of it, and shall serve no more:

26 H8334 [H8765] But shall minister H251 with their brethren H168 in the tent H4150 of meeting H8104 [H8800] to keep H4931 the charge, H5647 [H8799] and shall do H5656 no service. H6213 [H8799] Thus shalt thou do H3881 to the Levites H4931 concerning their charge.
