Isaiah 58

KJV_Strongs(i)
H7121 Cry [H8798]   H1627 aloud H2820 , spare [H8799]   H7311 not, lift [H8685]   H6963 up thy voice H7782 like a trumpet H5046 , and shew [H8685]   H5971 my people H6588 their transgression H1004 , and the house H3290 of Jacob H2403 their sins.
H1875 Yet they seek [H8799]   H3117 me daily H3117   H2654 , and delight [H8799]   H1847 to know H1870 my ways H1471 , as a nation H6213 that did [H8804]   H6666 righteousness H5800 , and forsook [H8804]   H4941 not the ordinance H430 of their God H7592 : they ask [H8799]   H4941 of me the ordinances H6664 of justice H2654 ; they take delight [H8799]   H7132 in approaching H430 to God.
H6684 Wherefore have we fasted [H8804]   H7200 , say they, and thou seest [H8804]   H6031 not? wherefore have we afflicted [H8765]   H5315 our soul H3045 , and thou takest no knowledge [H8799]   H3117 ? Behold, in the day H6685 of your fast H4672 ye find [H8799]   H2656 pleasure H5065 , and exact [H8799]   H6092 all your labours.
H6684 Behold, ye fast [H8799]   H7379 for strife H4683 and debate H5221 , and to smite [H8687]   H106 with the fist H7562 of wickedness H6684 : ye shall not fast [H8799]   H3117 as ye do this day H6963 , to make your voice H8085 to be heard [H8687]   H4791 on high.
H6685 Is it such a fast H977 that I have chosen [H8799]   H3117 ? a day H120 for a man H6031 to afflict [H8763]   H5315 his soul H3721 ? is it to bow down [H8800]   H7218 his head H100 as a bulrush H3331 , and to spread [H8686]   H8242 sackcloth H665 and ashes H7121 under him ? wilt thou call [H8799]   H2088 this H6685 a fast H7522 , and an acceptable H3117 day H3068 to the LORD?
H6685 Is not this the fast H977 that I have chosen [H8799]   H6605 ? to loose [H8763]   H2784 the bands H7562 of wickedness H5425 , to undo [H8687]   H4133 the heavy H92 burdens H7533 , and to let the oppressed [H8803]   H7971 go [H8763]   H2670 free H5423 , and that ye break [H8762]   H4133 every yoke?
H6536 Is it not to deal [H8800]   H3899 thy bread H7457 to the hungry H935 , and that thou bring [H8686]   H6041 the poor H4788 that are cast out H1004 to thy house H7200 ? when thou seest [H8799]   H6174 the naked H3680 , that thou cover [H8765]   H5956 him; and that thou hide [H8691]   H1320 not thyself from thine own flesh?
H216 Then shall thy light H1234 break forth [H8735]   H7837 as the morning H724 , and thine health H6779 shall spring forth [H8799]   H4120 speedily H6664 : and thy righteousness H1980 shall go [H8804]   H6440 before H3519 thee; the glory H3068 of the LORD H622 shall be thy rereward [H8799]  .
H7121 Then shalt thou call [H8799]   H3068 , and the LORD H6030 shall answer [H8799]   H7768 ; thou shalt cry [H8762]   H559 , and he shall say [H8799]   H5493 , Here I am . If thou take away [H8686]   H8432 from the midst H4133 of thee the yoke H7971 , the putting forth [H8800]   H676 of the finger H1696 , and speaking [H8763]   H205 vanity;
H6329 And if thou draw out [H8686]   H5315 thy soul H7457 to the hungry H7646 , and satisfy [H8686]   H6031 the afflicted [H8737]   H5315 soul H216 ; then shall thy light H2224 rise [H8804]   H2822 in obscurity H653 , and thy darkness H6672 be as the noonday:
H3068 And the LORD H5148 shall guide [H8804]   H8548 thee continually H7646 , and satisfy [H8689]   H5315 thy soul H6710 in drought H2502 , and make fat [H8686]   H6106 thy bones H7302 : and thou shalt be like a watered H1588 garden H4161 , and like a spring H4325 of water H4325 , whose waters H3576 fail [H8762]   not.
H1129 And they that shall be of thee shall build [H8804]   H5769 the old H2723 waste places H6965 : thou shalt raise up [H8787]   H4146 the foundations H1755 of many H1755 generations H7121 ; and thou shalt be called [H8795]   H1443 , The repairer [H8802]   H6556 of the breach H7725 , The restorer [H8789]   H5410 of paths H3427 to dwell in [H8800]  .
H7725 If thou turn away [H8686]   H7272 thy foot H7676 from the sabbath H6213 , from doing [H8800]   H2656 thy pleasure H6944 on my holy H3117 day H7121 ; and call [H8804]   H7676 the sabbath H6027 a delight H6918 , the holy H3068 of the LORD H3513 , honourable [H8794]   H3513 ; and shalt honour [H8765]   H6213 him, not doing [H8800]   H1870 thine own ways H4672 , nor finding [H8800]   H2656 thine own pleasure H1696 , nor speaking [H8763]   H1697 thine own words:
H6026 Then shalt thou delight [H8691]   H3068 thyself in the LORD H7392 ; and I will cause thee to ride [H8689]   H1116 upon the high places H776 of the earth H398 , and feed [H8689]   H5159 thee with the heritage H3290 of Jacob H1 thy father H6310 : for the mouth H3068 of the LORD H1696 hath spoken [H8765]   it .
KJV(i) 1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. 3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours. 4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high. 5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the LORD? 6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? 7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? 8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward. 9 Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; 10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day: 11 And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. 12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in. 13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: 14 Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
