  2 H8199 And he judged [H8799]   H3478 Israel H6242 twenty H7969 and three H8141 years H4191 , and died [H8799]   H6912 , and was buried [H8735]   H8069 in Shamir.
  3 H310 And after H6965 him arose [H8799]   H2971 Jair H1569 , a Gileadite H8199 , and judged [H8799]   H3478 Israel H6242 twenty H8147 and two H8141 years.
  4 H7970 And he had thirty H1121 sons H7392 that rode [H8802]   H7970 on thirty H5895 ass colts H7970 , and they had thirty H5892 cities H7121 , which are called [H8799]   H2334 Havothjair H3117 unto this day H776 , which are in the land H1568 of Gilead.
  5 H2971 And Jair H4191 died [H8799]   H6912 , and was buried [H8735]   H7056 in Camon.

  11 H3068 And the LORD H559 said [H8799]   H1121 unto the children H3478 of Israel H4714 , Did not I deliver you from the Egyptians H567 , and from the Amorites H1121 , from the children H5983 of Ammon H6430 , and from the Philistines?
  12 H6722 The Zidonians H6002 also, and the Amalekites H4584 , and the Maonites H3905 , did oppress [H8804]   H6817 you; and ye cried [H8799]   H3467 to me, and I delivered [H8686]   H3027 you out of their hand.
  13 H5800 Yet ye have forsaken [H8804]   H5647 me, and served [H8799]   H312 other H430 gods H3467 : wherefore I will deliver [H8687]   H3254 you no more [H8686]  .

  16 H5493 And they put away [H8686]   H5236 the strange H430 gods H7130 from among H5647 them, and served [H8799]   H3068 the LORD H5315 : and his soul H7114 was grieved [H8799]   H5999 for the misery H3478 of Israel.
  17 H1121 Then the children H5983 of Ammon H6817 were gathered together [H8735]   H2583 , and encamped [H8799]   H1568 in Gilead H1121 . And the children H3478 of Israel H622 assembled themselves together [H8735]   H2583 , and encamped [H8799]   H4709 in Mizpeh.
  18 H5971 And the people H8269 and princes H1568 of Gilead H559 said [H8799]   H376 one H7453 to another H376 , What man H2490 is he that will begin [H8686]   H3898 to fight [H8736]   H1121 against the children H5983 of Ammon H7218 ? he shall be head H3427 over all the inhabitants [H8802]   H1568 of Gilead.

  3 H6965 ויקם him arose H310 אחריו And after H2971 יאיר Jair, H1569 הגלעדי a Gileadite, H8199 וישׁפט and judged H853 את   H3478 ישׂראל Israel H6242 עשׂרים twenty H8147 ושׁתים and two H8141 שׁנה׃ years.
  4 H1961 ויהי And he had H7970 לו שׁלשׁים thirty H1121 בנים sons H7392 רכבים that rode H5921 על on H7970 שׁלשׁים thirty H5895 עירים ass colts, H7970 ושׁלשׁים and they had thirty H5895 עירים   H1992 להם   H1992 להם   H7121 יקראו which are called H2334 חות יאיר Havoth-jair H5704 עד unto H3117 היום day, H2088 הזה this H834 אשׁר which H776 בארץ in the land H1568 הגלעד׃ of Gilead.

  8 H7492 וירעצו they vexed H7533 וירצצו and oppressed H853 את   H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel: H8141 בשׁנה year H1931 ההיא And that H8083 שׁמנה eighteen H6240 עשׂרה eighteen H8141 שׁנה years, H853 את   H3605 כל all H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H834 אשׁר that H5676 בעבר on the other side H3383 הירדן Jordan H776 בארץ in the land H567 האמרי of the Amorites, H834 אשׁר which H1568 בגלעד׃ in Gilead.
  9 H5674 ויעברו passed over H1121 בני Moreover the children H5983 עמון of Ammon H853 את   H3383 הירדן Jordan H3898 להלחם to fight H1571 גם also H3063 ביהודה against Judah, H1144 ובבנימין and against Benjamin, H1004 ובבית and against the house H669 אפרים of Ephraim; H3334 ותצר distressed. H3478 לישׂראל so that Israel H3966 מאד׃ was sore
  10 H2199 ויזעקו cried H1121 בני And the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה the LORD, H559 לאמר saying, H2398 חטאנו We have sinned H3588 לך וכי against thee, both because H5800 עזבנו we have forsaken H853 את   H430 אלהינו our God, H5647 ונעבד and also served H853 את   H1168 הבעלים׃ Baalim.
  11 H559 ויאמר said H3068 יהוה And the LORD H413 אל   H1121 בני the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel, H3808 הלא not H4714 ממצרים   H4480 ומן and from H567 האמרי the Amorites, H4480 ומן from H1121 בני the children H5983 עמון of Ammon, H4480 ומן and from H6430 פלשׁתים׃ the Philistines?
  12 H6722 וצידונים The Zidonians H6002 ועמלק also, and the Amalekites, H4584 ומעון and the Maonites, H3905 לחצו did oppress H853 אתכם   H6817 ותצעקו you; and ye cried H413 אלי to H3467 ואושׁיעה me, and I delivered H853 אתכם   H3027 מידם׃ you out of their hand.
  13 H859 ואתם Yet ye H5800 עזבתם have forsaken H853 אותי   H5647 ותעבדו me, and served H430 אלהים gods: H312 אחרים other H3651 לכן wherefore H3808 לא you no H3254 אוסיף more. H3467 להושׁיע I will deliver H853 אתכם׃  
  14 H1980 לכו Go H2199 וזעקו and cry H413 אל unto H430 האלהים the gods H834 אשׁר which H977 בחרתם ye have chosen; H1992 בם המה let them H3467 יושׁיעו deliver H6256 לכם בעת you in the time H6869 צרתכם׃ of your tribulation.
  15 H559 ויאמרו said H1121 בני And the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H413 אל unto H3068 יהוה the LORD, H2398 חטאנו We have sinned: H6213 עשׂה do H859 אתה thou H3605 לנו ככל unto us whatsoever H2896 הטוב seemeth good H5869 בעיניך unto H389 אך us only, H5337 הצילנו thee; deliver H4994 נא we pray thee, H3117 היום day. H2088 הזה׃ this
  16 H5493 ויסירו And they put away H853 את   H430 אלהי gods H5236 הנכר the strange H7130 מקרבם from among H5647 ויעבדו them, and served H853 את   H3068 יהוה the LORD: H7114 ותקצר was grieved H5315 נפשׁו and his soul H5999 בעמל for the misery H3478 ישׂראל׃ of Israel.
  17 H6817 ויצעקו were gathered together, H1121 בני Then the children H5983 עמון of Ammon H2583 ויחנו and encamped H1568 בגלעד in Gilead. H622 ויאספו assembled themselves together, H1121 בני And the children H3478 ישׂראל of Israel H2583 ויחנו and encamped H4709 במצפה׃ in Mizpeh.
  18 H559 ויאמרו said H5971 העם And the people H8269 שׂרי princes H1568 גלעד of Gilead H376 אישׁ one H413 אל to H7453 רעהו another, H4310 מי What H376 האישׁ man H834 אשׁר that H2490 יחל will begin H3898 להלחם to fight H1121 בבני against the children H5983 עמון of Ammon? H1961 יהיה he shall be H7218 לראשׁ head H3605 לכל over all H3427 ישׁבי the inhabitants H1568 גלעד׃ of Gilead.
