ABP_Strongs(i)
  1 G103 I will sing G1211 indeed G3588 to the one G25 being loved G1473 of me G779.1 a song G3588   G27 of my beloved G1473   G3588 concerning G290 his vineyard. G1473   G290 A vineyard G1096 became G3588 to the one G25 being loved G1722 on G2768 a horn G1722 in G5117 [2place G4104.2 1a plentiful].
  2 G2532 And G5418 [2a barrier G4060 1I put] around it, G2532 and G5480.3 I built a palisade, G2532 and G5452 planted G288 a grapevine, G4987.1 a choice vine; G2532 and G3618 I built G4444 a tower G1722 in G3319 the midst G1473 of it; G2532 and G4302.1 [2a wine press G3736 1I dug] G1722 in G1473 it; G2532 and G3306 I waited G3588   G4160 for it to produce G4718 the grape, G2532 and G4160 it produced G173 thorn-bushes.
  3 G2532 And G3568 now, G3588 O ones G1774 dwelling G1722 in G* Jerusalem, G2532 and G444 O man G3588   G* of Judah, G2919 judge G1211 then G1722   G1473 [2me G2532 3and G303.1 1between] G3588   G290 my vineyard! G1473
  4 G5100 What G4160 shall I do G2089 still G3588 to G290 my vineyard G1473   G2532 that G3756 I did not do G4160   G1473 to it? G1360 For G3306 I waited G3588   G4160 for it to produce G4718 a grape, G4160 but it produced G1161   G173 thorn-bushes.
  5 G3568 Now then G3767   G312 I will announce G1473 to you G5100 what G1473 I G4160 will do G3588 to G290 my vineyard. G1473   G851 I will remove G3588   G5418 its barrier, G1473   G2532 and G1510.8.3 it will be G1519 for G1282.2 ravaging. G2532 And G2507 I will demolish G3588   G5109 its wall, G1473   G2532 and G1510.8.3 it will be G1519 for G2662.1 trampling.
  6 G2532 And G447 I will forsake G3588   G290 my vineyard; G1473   G2532 for G3766.2 in no way G5058.2 should it be pruned, G3762.1 neither G4626 shall it be dug. G2532 And G305 [2shall ascend G1519 3into G1473 4it G5613 5as G1519 6in G5502.2 7an uncultivated land G173 1 the thorn-bush]. G2532 And G3588 [2to the G3507 3clouds G1781 1I will give charge] G3588   G3361 to not G1026 rain G1519 [2upon G1473 3it G5205 1 any rain].
  7 G3588 For the G1063   G290 vineyard G2962 of the lord G4519 of Hosts G3624 [2 the house G3588   G* 3of Israel G1510.2.3 1is], G2532 and G444 the man G3588   G* of Judah G3504 is the newly planted G25 one being loved. G3306 I waited G3588   G4160 for it to produce G2920 equity, G4160 but it produced G1161   G458 lawlessness; G2532 and G3756 not G1343 righteousness, G235 but G2906 a cry.
  8 G3759 Woe G3588 to the G4882.1 ones joining together G3614 house G4314 to G3614 house, G2532 and G68 [2field G4314 3to G68 4field G1448 1nearing], G2443 that G3588   G4139 [3of their neighbor G851 1they should remove G5100 2anything]; G3361 will you not G3611 live G3441 alone G1909 upon G3588 the G1093 land?
  9 G191 For it was heard G1063   G1519 in G3588 the G3775 ears G2962 of the lord G4519 of Hosts G3778 about these things . G1437 For even if G1063   G1096 there should become G3614 [2residences G4183 1many] G1519 in G2048 desolation, G1510.8.6 and they shall be G3173 great G2532 and G2570 good, G2532 but G3756 there will not G1510.8.6 be G3588   G1774 ones dwelling G1722 in G1473 them.
  10 G3739 For where G1063   G2038 [4work G1176 1ten G2201 2teams G1016 3of oxen] G4160 the land will produce G2765 [2clay vessel G1520 1one]; G2532 and G3588 the G4687 one sowing G733.2 [2 large measures G1803 1six] G4160 shall produce G3358 [2measures G5140 1three].

2 H5823 [H8762] And he dug H5619 [H8762] it, and removed its stones, H5193 [H8799] and planted H8321 it with the choicest vine, H1129 [H8799] and built H4026 a tower H8432 in the midst H2672 [H8804] of it, and also made H3342 a winepress H6960 [H8762] in it: and he expected H6213 [H8800] that it should bring forth H6025 grapes, H6213 [H8799] and it brought forth H891 wild grapes.
3 H3427 [H8802] And now, O inhabitants H3389 of Jerusalem, H376 and men H3063 of Judah, H8199 [H8798] judge, H3754 I pray you, between me and my vineyard.
4 H6213 [H8800] What more could have been done H3754 to my vineyard, H6213 [H8804] that I have not done H4069 in it? Why, H6960 [H8765] when I expected H6213 [H8800] that it should bring forth H6025 grapes, H6213 [H8799] brought it forth H891 wild grapes?
5 H3045 [H8686] And now come; I will tell H6213 [H8802] you what I will do H3754 to my vineyard: H5493 [H8687] I will take away H4881 its hedge, H1197 [H8763] and it shall be eaten up; H6555 [H8800] and break down H1447 the wall H4823 of it, and it shall be trodden down:
6 H7896 [H8799] And I will lay H1326 it waste: H2168 [H8735] it shall not be pruned, H5737 [H8735] nor dug; H5927 [H8804] but there shall come up H8068 briers H7898 and thorns: H6680 [H8762] I will also command H5645 the clouds H4305 [H8687] that they rain H4306 no rain upon it.
7 H3754 For the vineyard H3068 of the LORD H6635 of hosts H1004 is the house H3478 of Israel, H376 and the men H3063 of Judah H8191 his pleasant H5194 plant: H6960 [H8762] and he looked H4941 for judgment, H4939 but behold oppression; H6666 for righteousness, H6818 but behold a shriek.
8 H1945 Woe H5060 [H8688] to them that join H1004 house H1004 to house, H7126 [H8686] that lay H7704 field H7704 to field, H657 till there is no H4725 place, H3427 [H8717] that they may be placed H7130 alone in the midst H776 of the earth!
9 H241 In my ears H3068 said the LORD H6635 of hosts, H3808 Of a truth H7227 many H1004 houses H8047 shall be desolate, H1419 even great H2896 and fair, H3427 [H8802] without inhabitant.
  10 H3588 Yea, H6235 ten H6776 acres H3754 of vineyard H6213 [H8799] shall yield H259 one H1324 bath, H2233 and the seed H2563 of an homer H6213 [H8799] shall yield H374 an ephah.

Wycliffe(i) 1 I schal synge for my derlyng the song of myn vnclis sone, of his vyner. A vyner was maad to my derlyng, in the horne in the sone of oile. 2 And he heggide it, and chees stoonys therof, and plauntide a chosun vyner; and he bildide a tour in the myddis therof, and rerede a presse ther ynne; and he abood, that it schulde bere grapis, and it bare wielde grapis. 3 Now therfor, ye dwelleris of Jerusalem, and ye men of Juda, deme bitwixe me and my viner. 4 What is it that Y ouyt to do more to my vyner, and Y dide not to it? whether that Y abood, that it schulde bere grapis, and it bare wielde grapis? 5 And now Y schal schewe to you, what Y schal do to my vyner. Y schal take awei the hegge therof, and it schal be in to rauyschyng; Y schal caste doun the wal therof, and it schal be in to defoulyng; and Y schal sette it desert, 6 ether forsakun. It schal not be kit, and it schal not be diggid, and breris and thornes schulen `growe vp on it; and Y schal comaunde to cloudis, that tho reyne not reyn on it. 7 Forsothe the vyner of the Lord of oostis is the hous of Israel, and the men of Juda ben the delitable buriownyng of hym. Y abood, that it schal make doom, and lo! wickidnesse; and that it schulde do riytfulnesse, and lo! cry. 8 Wo to you that ioynen hows to hous, and couplen feeld to feeld, `til to the ende of place. Whether ye aloone schulen dwelle in the myddis of the lond? 9 These thingis ben in the eeris of me, the Lord of oostis; if many housis ben not forsakun, grete housis and faire, with outen dwellere, bileue ye not to me. 10 For whi ten acris of vynes schulen make a potel, and thretti buschels of seed schulen make thre buschels.
Coverdale(i) 1 Now well than, I will synge my beloued frende a songe of his vynyearde. My beloued frende hath a vyneyearde in a very frutefull plenteous grounde. 2 This he hedged, this he walled rounde aboute, and planted it with goodly grapes. In the myddest of it buylded he a towre, and made a wyne presse therin And afterwarde when he loked yt it shulde bringe him grapes, it brought forth thornes. 3 I shewe you now my cause (o ye Citysens of Ierusalem and whole Iuda:) Iudge I praye you betwixte me: and my wynegardinge. 4 What more coude haue bene done for it, that I haue not done? Wherfore then hath it geuen thornes, where I loked to haue had grapes of it? 5 Well, I shall tell you how I will do wt my vynyarde: I will take the hedge from it, that it maye perish, and breake downe ye wall, that it maye be troden vnder fote. 6 I will laye it waist, that it shall nether be twysted nor cut, but beare thornes and breares. I wil also forbyd ye cloudes, that they shal not rayne vpon it. 7 As for the vynyarde of the LORDE of hoostes it is the house of Israel, and whole Iuda his fayre plantinge. Of these he loked for equyte, but se there is wronge: for rightuousnesse, lo, It is but misery. 8 Wo to you that ioyne one house to another, and bringe one londe so nigh vnto another, till ye can get no more grounde. Wil ye dwell vpon the earth alone? 9 The LORDE of hoostes rowneth me thus i myne eare: shal not many greater and more gorgions houses be so waist, that no man shall dwell in the? 10 And ten akers of vynes shal geue but a Quarte, and xxx. bushels of sede shal geue but thre.
MSTC(i) 1 Now will I sing my beloved friend a song of his vineyard. My beloved friend hath a vineyard in a very fruitful plenteous ground. 2 This he hedged, this he walled round about, and planted it with goodly grapes. In the midst of it builded he a tower, and made a wine press therein. And afterward when he looked that it should bring him grapes, it brought forth thorns. 3 I show you now my cause, O ye Citizens of Jerusalem and whole Judah: Judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard. 4 What more could have been done for it, that I have not done? Wherefore than hath it given thorns, where I looked to have had grapes of it? 5 Well, now I shall tell you how I will do with my vineyard: I will take the hedge from it, that it may perish, and break down the wall, that it may be trodden under foot. 6 I will lay it waste, that it shall neither be twisted nor cut, but bear thorns and briers. I will also forbid the clouds, that they shall not rain upon it. 7 As for the vineyard of the LORD of Hosts, it is the house of Israel, and whole Judah his fair planting. Of these he looked for equity, but see there is wrong; for righteousness, lo, it is but misery. 8 Woe be unto you that join one house to another, and bring one land so nigh unto another, that the poor can get no more ground. Will ye dwell upon the earth alone? 9 The LORD of Hosts roundeth me thus in mine ear: Shall not many greater and more gorgeous houses be so waste, that no man shall dwell in them? 10 And ten acres of vines shall give but a quart, and thirty bushels of seed shall give but an ephah.
Matthew(i) 1 Nowe wel then, I wyl syng my beloued frende a songe of hys vyneyarde. My beloued frende hath a vyneyard in a very frutefull plenteous grounde. 2 This he hedged, this he walled rounde about, & planted with goodly grapes. In the myddest of it buylded he a toure, & made a wyne presse therein. And afterwarde when he loked that it shulde bringe him grapes, it broughte forthe thornes. 3 I shewe you nowe my cause (O ye Cytesens of Ierusalem & whole Iuda:) Iudge I praye you betwixte me, & my vyneyarde. 4 What more coulde haue bene done for it, that I haue not done? Wherfore then hath it geuen thornes, where I loked to haue had grapes of it? 5 Well, I shall tell you how I wyl do with my vineyarde: I will take the hedge from it, that it maye perishe, & breake doune the wall, that it maye be troden vnder fote. 6 I wyl laye it waste, that it shall neyther be twisted nor cut, but beare thornes and breares. I wil also forbydde the cloudes, that they shall not raine vpon it. 7 As for the vyneyarde of the Lorde of Hostes it is the house of Israel, & whole Iuda hys fayre plantynge. Of these he loked for equyte, but se there is wronge: for rightuousnesse, lo, It is but miserye. 8 Wo be vnto you that ioyne one house to another, & bring one land so nyghe vnto another, tyll ye can get no more grounde. Wyll ye dwel vpon the earth alone? 9 The Lorde of Hostes roundeth me thus in myne eare: shall not many greater and more gorgyous houses be so waste, that no man shall dwell in them? 10 And ten akers of vynes shal geue but a Quarte, & .xxx. bushels of sede shall geue but thre.
Great(i) 1 Now will I syng my beloued frende a songe of my frendes, because of hys vyneyarde. My beloued frende hath a vyneyarde in a very frutefull plenteous grounde. 2 This he hedged, thys he walled rounde aboute, and planted it with goodly grapes. In the myddest of it buylded he a towre, and made a wyne presse therin. And afterwarde when he loked that it shulde brynge him grapes, it brought forth thornes. 3 Now therfore (O ye Cytysens of Ierusalem and whole Iuda:) Iudge I praye you betwixte me, and my vyneyard. 4 What more could haue bene done for it that I haue not done? Wherfore then hath it geuen thornes, where I loked to haue had grapes of it? 5 Well, now I shall tell you how I wyll do with my vyneyarde: I will take the hedge from it, that it maye perysh, and breake downe the wall, that it maye be troden vnder fote. 6 I will laye it waste, that it shall nether be digged nor cut, but beare thornes and brears. I will also forbyd the cloudes that they shall not rayne vpon it. 7 As for the vyneyarde of the Lord of hostes it is the house of Israel, and whole Iuda hys fayre planting. Of these he loked for equite, but se there is wrong: for ryghteousnesse, lo, It is but mysery. 8 Wo vnto them that ioyne one house to another, & bring one lande so nygh vnto another, that the poore can get no more grounde, & that ye maye dwel vpon the earth alone. 9 These thynges are in the ears of the Lorde of Hostes: shall not many greater & more gorgyous houses be so waste, that no man shall dwell in them? 10 And ten akers of vynes shal geue but a Quarte, and .xxx. bushels of sede shall geue but an Epha.
Geneva(i) 1 Now will I sing to my beloued a song of my beloued to his vineyarde, My beloued had a vineyarde in a very fruitefull hill, 2 And hee hedged it, and gathered out the stones of it, and he planted it with the best plants, and hee builte a towre in the middes thereof, and made a wine presse therein: then hee looked that it should bring foorth grapes: but it brought foorth wilde grapes. 3 Now therefore, O inhabitants of Ierusalem and men of Iudah, iudge, I pray you, betweene me, and my vineyarde. 4 What coulde I haue done any more to my vineyard that I haue not done vnto it? why haue I looked that it should bring foorth grapes, and it bringeth foorth wilde grapes? 5 And nowe I will tell you what I will do to my vineyarde: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten vp: I will breake the wall thereof, and it shall be troden downe: 6 And I will laye it waste: it shall not be cut, nor digged, but briers, and thornes shall growe vp: I will also commande the cloudes that they raine no raine vpon it. 7 Surely the vineyard of the Lord of hostes is the house of Israel, and the men of Iudah are his pleasant plant, and hee looked for iudgement, but beholde oppression: for righteousnesse, but beholde a crying. 8 Woe vnto them that ioyne house to house, and laye fielde to fielde, till there bee no place, that ye may be placed by your selues in the mids of the earth. 9 This is in mine cares, saith the Lord of hostes. Surely many houses shall be desolate, euen great, and faire without inhabitant. 10 For ten acres of vines shall yelde one bath, and the seede of an homer shall yelde an ephah.
Bishops(i) 1 Nowe wyll I syng my beloued friende, a song of my friende touching his vineyard: My beloued friende hath a vineyarde in a very fruiteful plenteous grounde 2 This he hedged, and gathered out the stones from it, and planted it with the choysest vine: In the middest of it builded he a towre, also made a wine presse therin: and he loked that it shoulde bring him grapes, and it brought foorth wylde grapes 3 Nowe O citezen of Hierusalem, and man of Iuda, iudge I pray thee betwixt me and my vineyarde 4 What more coulde haue ben done for it, that I haue not done? Wherfore then hath it geuen wylde grapes, where I loked to haue had grapes of it 5 Well, nowe I shall tell you howe I will do with my vineyarde: I will take the hedge from it, that it may perishe, and breake downe the wall therof, that it may be troden vnder foote 6 I wyll lay it waste, it shall neither be digged nor cut, but beare thornes and briers: I wyll also forbyd the cloudes that they shall not rayne vpon it 7 As for the vineyarde of the Lorde of hoastes, it is the house of Israel: and the man of Iuda, the plant of his pleasure: Of these he loked for equitie, but see there is oppression for ryghteousnesse, and lo it is a crying 8 Wo vnto them that ioyne one house to another, and bring one lande so nigh vnto another, that there is no more place: Wyll ye be placed alone in the myddest of the earth 9 These thynges are in the eares of the Lorde of hoastes: of a trueth great and faire houses shalbe without any dweller in them 10 And tenne acres of vines shall geue but a quart, and thirtie busshels of seede shall geue but an Epha
DouayRheims(i) 1 I will sing to my beloved the canticle of my cousin concerning his vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a hill in a fruitful place. 2 And he fenced it in, and picked the stones out of it, and planted it with the choicest vines, and built a tower in the midst thereof, and set up a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. 3 And now, O ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and ye men of Juda, judge between me and my vineyard. 4 What is there that I ought to do more to my vineyard, that I have not done to it? was it that I looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it hath brought forth wild grapes? 5 And now I will shew you what I will do to my vineyard. I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be wasted: I will break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down. 6 And I will make it desolate: it shall not be pruned, and it shall not be digged: but briers and thorns shall come up: and I will command the clouds to rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel: and the man of Juda, his pleasant plant: and I looked that he should do judgment, and behold iniquity: and do justice, and behold a cry. 8 Woe to you that join house to house and lay field to field, even to the end of the place: shall you alone dwell in the midst of the earth? 9 These things are in my ears, saith the Lord of hosts: Unless many great and fair houses shall become desolate, without an inhabitant. 10 For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one little measure, and thirty bushels of seed shall yield three bushels.

Thomson(i) 1 Let me sing for the Beloved, a song of my Beloved to His vineyard. The beloved had a vineyard on a mountain in a rich soil, 2 and I hedged it around and trenched it; and planted it with the vine of Sorek; and in the midst of it built a tower, and hewed out therein a wine lake; and waited for its producing grapes, and it produced poisonous berries. 3 Now therefore, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Juda, judge between me and my vineyard. 4 What more could I do for my vineyard that I have not done for it? Because I expected that it would produce grapes, and it hath produced poisonous berries; 5 now therefore I will tell you, what I purpose to do with my vineyard; I take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be exposed to plunder; and I will demolish its wall, and it shall be for a common walk; 6 and I will abandon my vineyard that it may neither be pruned nor digged; and brambles shall overrun it as a waste; and I will give a charge to the clouds not to shed rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the Lord of Hosts is the house of Israel; and the men of Juda his beloved plant. I waited for their executing justice, but they committed injustice, and promoted not righteousness, but an outcry. 8 Woe unto them who join house to house, and who are bringing field nearer to field, that they may take something from their neighbour. Are you alone to dwell in the land? 9 For these things have come to the ears of the Lord of Hosts. For though there be many houses they shall be for desolation; though great and fair, there shall be no inhabitants therein. 10 For the ground Worked by ten yoke of oxen will not yield a bath of wine; and he who soweth six measures shall not raise three.
Webster(i) 1 Now will I sing to my well-beloved a song of my beloved concerning his vineyard. My well-beloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: 2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones of it, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a wine-press therein: and he expected that it would bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. 3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard. 4 What more could have been done to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I expected that it would bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? 5 And now come; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall of it, and it shall be trodden down: 6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry. 8 Woe to them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there is no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth! 9 In my ears said the LORD of hosts, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant. 10 Yes, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of a homer shall yield an ephah.

Brenton(i) 1 Now I will sing to my beloved a song of my beloved concerning my vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a high hill in a fertile place. 2 And I made a hedge round it, and dug a trench, and planted a choice vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and dug a place for the wine-vat in it: and I waited for it to bring forth grapes, and it brought forth thorns. 3 And now, ye dwellers in Jerusalem, and every man of Juda, judge between me and my vineyard. 4 What shall I do any more to my vineyard, that I have not done to it? Whereas I expected it to bring forth grapes, but it has brought forth thorns. 5 And now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be for a spoil; and I will pull down its walls, and it shall be left to be trodden down. 6 And I will forsake my vineyard; and it shall not be pruned, nor dug, and thorns shall come up upon it as on barren land; and I will command the clouds to rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Juda his beloved plant: I expected it to bring forth judgement, and it brought forth iniquity; and not righteousness, but a cry. 8 Woe to them that join house to house, and add field to field, that they may take away something of their neighbor's: will ye dwell alone upon the land? 9 For these things have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts: for though many houses should be built, many and fair houses shall be desolate, and there shall be no inhabitants in them. 10 For where ten yoke of oxen plough the land shall yield one jar-full, and he that sows six homers shall produce three measures.

Leeser(i) 1 I will sing now for my beloved, the song of my dear one touching his vineyard. A vineyard had my beloved on a rich hill-top; 2 And he fenced it in, and cleared it of stones, and planted it with the choicest vines, and built a tower in its midst, and also a winepress he hewed out therein: and he hoped that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth worthless fruit. 3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard. 4 What more was to be done to my vineyard, that I had not done in it? Why then did I hope that it should bring forth grapes, while it brought forth worthless fruit? 5 And now I will let you know also what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten off; I will break down its wall, and it shall be trodden down; 6 And I will lay it quite waste; it shall not be pruned, nor hoed around; and it shall be overgrown with briers and thorns; and the clouds will I command that they send down no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are the plant of his delight: and he hoped for justice, but behold injustice; for equity, but behold iniquity. 8 Woe unto those that cause house to join on house, bring field near to field, till there is no more room, so that ye may be left alone as the inhabitants in the midst of the land! 9 In my ears spoke the Lord of hosts, Truly many houses shall become desolate, yea, great and beautiful ones without an inhabitant. 10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield but one bath, and a chomer-seed shall yield but an ephah.
YLT(i) 1 Let me sing, I pray you, for my beloved, A song of my beloved as to his vineyard: My beloved hath a vineyard in a fruitful hill, 2 And he fenceth it, and casteth out its stones, And planteth it with a choice vine, And buildeth a tower in its midst, And also a wine press hath hewn out in it, And he waiteth for the yielding of grapes, And it yieldeth bad ones! 3 And now, O inhabitant of Jerusalem, and man of Judah, Judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard. 4 What—to do still to my vineyard, That I have not done in it! Wherefore, I waited to the yielding of grapes, And it yieldeth bad ones! 5 And now, pray, let me cause you to know, That which I am doing to my vineyard, To turn aside its hedge, And it hath been for consumption, To break down its wall, And it hath been for a treading-place. 6 And I make it a waste, It is not pruned, nor arranged, And gone up have brier and thorn, And on the thick clouds I lay a charge, From raining upon it rain. 7 Because the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts Is the house of Israel, And the man of Judah His pleasant plant, And He waiteth for judgment, and lo, oppression, For righteousness, and lo, a cry.
8 Woe to those joining house to house, Field to field they bring near, till there is no place, And ye have been settled by yourselves In the midst of the land! 9 By the weapons of Jehovah of Hosts Do not many houses a desolation become? Great and good without inhabitant! 10 For ten acres of vineyard do yield one bath, And an homer of seed yieldeth an ephah.
JuliaSmith(i) 1 I will sing now to my beloved a song of my love for his vineyard. There was a vineyard to my beloved in the horn of the son of oil: 2 And he will dig it up, and he will free it from stones, and he will plant it with a vine of purple grapes, and build a tower in its midst, and he will also hew out a wine-vat in it: and he will wait for grapes to be made, and it will make wild grapes. 3 And now, ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge ye now, between me and between my vineyard 4 What to do more to my vineyard, and did I not in it? wherefore I waited for grapes to be made, and it will make wild grapes. 5 And now I will make known to you now what I do to my vineyard, taking away its hedge, and it was for consuming, breaking down its wall, and it was for a treading down. 6 And I will make it a desolation; it shall not be pruned and it shall not be dressed, and there came up sharp points and thorns: and upon the clouds I will command from raining rain upon it 7 For the vineyard of Jehovah of armies is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah the plant of his pleasures: and he will wait for judgment, and behold bloodshed; for justice, and behold a cry. 8 Wo to those touching house upon house, they will bring near field upon field, till no more place, and ye dwelt yourselves alone in the midst of the earth. 9 In the ears of Jehovah of armies, If not many houses shall be for desolation, great and good from none dwelling. 10 For ten measures of a vineyard shall make one bath, and the seed of an omer shall make an ephah.
Darby(i) 1 I will sing to my well-beloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard: My well-beloved had a vineyard upon a fruitful hill. 2 And he dug it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine; and he built a tower in the midst of it, and also hewed out a winepress therein; and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, but it brought forth wild grapes. 3 And now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard. 4 What was there yet to do to my vineyard that I have not done in it? Wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? -- 5 And now, let me tell you what I am about to do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; I will break down its wall, and it shall be trodden under foot; 6 and I will make it a waste -- it shall not be pruned nor cultivated, but there shall come up briars and thorns; and I will command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of Jehovah of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah the plant of his delight: and he looked for justice, and behold, blood-shedding; for righteousness, and behold, a cry. 8 Woe unto them that add house to house, that join field to field, until there is no more room, and that ye dwell yourselves alone in the midst of the land! 9 In mine ears Jehovah of hosts [hath said], Many houses shall assuredly become a desolation, great and excellent ones, without inhabitant. 10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield an ephah.

5 H3045 And now I will tell H6213 you what I will do H3754 to my vineyard: H5493 I will take away H4881 the hedge H1197 thereof, and it shall be eaten up; H6555 I will break down H1447 the wall H4823 thereof, and it shall be trodden down:
6 H7896 and I will lay H1326 it waste; H2168 it shall not be pruned H5737 nor hoed; H5927 but there shall come up H8068 briers H7898 and thorns: H6680 I will also command H5645 the clouds H4305 that they rain H4306 no rain upon it.
7 H3754 For the vineyard H3068 of Jehovah H6635 of hosts H1004 is the house H3478 of Israel, H376 and the men H3063 of Judah H8191 his pleasant H5194 plant: H6960 and he looked H4941 for justice, H4939 but, behold, oppression; H6666 for righteousness, H6818 but, behold, a cry.
8 H1945 Woe H5060 unto them that join H1004 house H1004 to house, H7126 that lay H7704 field H7704 to field, H657 till there be no H4725 room, H3427 and ye be made to dwell H7130 alone in the midst H776 of the land!
9 H241 In mine ears H3068 saith Jehovah H6635 of hosts, H3808 Of a truth H7227 many H1004 houses H8047 shall be desolate, H1419 even great H2896 and fair, H3427 without inhabitant.
  10 H3588 For H6235 ten H6776 acres H3754 of vineyard H6213 shall yield H259 one H1324 bath, H2563 and a homer H2233 of seed H6213 shall yield H374 but an ephah.
JPS_ASV_Byz(i) 1 Let me sing of my well-beloved, a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My well-beloved had a vineyard in a very fruitful hill; 2 And he digged it, and cleared it of stones, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also hewed out a vat therein; and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. 3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard. 4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? 5 And now come, I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; I will break down the fence thereof, and it shall be trodden down; 6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned nor hoed, but there shall come up briers and thorns; I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah the plant of His delight; and He looked for justice, but behold violence; for righteousness, but behold a cry. 8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no room, and ye be made to dwell alone in the midst of the land! 9 In mine ears said the LORD of hosts: of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant. 10 For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of a homer shall yield an ephah.
Rotherham(i) 1 Let me sing, I pray you, for a well–beloved of mine, The song of my beloved, concerning his vineyard:––A vineyard, had my well–beloved, on a very fruitful hill; 2 And he thoroughly digged it, And gathered out the stones thereof, And planted it with a precious vine, And built a tower in the midst thereof, Moreover also, a wine–press, hewed he therein,––Then waited he, that it should bring forth grapes. And it brought forth wild, grapes: 3 Now, therefore, O inhabitant of Jerusalem, And men of Judah,––Judge, I pray you, betwixt me, and my vineyard:–– 4 What could have been done further, to my vineyard, That I had not done in it? Why then––When I had waited that it should bring forth grapes, Brought it forth wild, grapes? 5 Now, therefore, I pray you, let me tell, you, what I, am about to do to my vineyard,––To take away the fence thereof, And it shall be eaten up, To destroy the wall thereof, And it shall be trodden down; 6 And I will make it a waste; ––It shall be neither pruned nor hoed, But there shall come up briars and thorns,––And, upon the clouds, will I lay a charge, That they rain thereon no rain. 7 Surely, the vineyard of Yahweh of hosts, is the house of Israel, And, the men of Judah, are the plantation in which he dearly delighted,––And he waited, For, equity, but lo! murderous iniquity, For the rule of right, but lo! the cry of the wronged.
8 Alas! for them who join house to house, Field to field, bring they near,––Until there is no room, But ye are left to dwell alone, in the midst of the land. 9 In mine ears, [said] Yahweh of hosts,––Verily, houses in abundance, shall become, a desolation, Large and fair, without inhabitant; 10 For, ten yokes of vineyard, shall yield, one bath,––And, the seed of a homer, shall yield an ephah.
Ottley(i) 1 Now will I sing for my beloved a song of my loved one for my vineyard. My beloved hath a vineyard on a hill-top, in a fertile place; 2 And I set a hedge around it, and fenced it, and planted a vine of Sorek, and built a tower in the midst of it, and digged a wine-fat therein; and I waited for it to bring forth a cluster of grapes, and it brought forth thorns. 3 And now, man of Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, judge ye betwixt me and my vineyard. 4 What shall I do yet for my vineyard, that I have not done for it? because I waited for it to bring forth a cluster of grapes, but it brought forth thorns. 5 But now I will declare to you what I will do to my vineyard; I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be plundered; and destroy the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down; 6 And I will abandon my vineyard, and it shall not be pruned, nor digged; and there shall come up into it thorns, as into a waste place; and I will command the clouds, to shower no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the Lord of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the man of Judah a beloved young plant; I waited for (him) to bring forth judgment, but he brought forth transgression, and not righteousness, but a cry. 8 Woe, they that join house to house, and set field next to field, that they may rob somewhat from their neighbour; will ye dwell alone upon the earth? 9 For this was heard in the ears of the Lord of Hosts; For if houses become many, they shall be a desolation; great ones and fair, and there shall be none that inhabit them. 10 For where ten yoke of oxen plough, it shall yield one jar, and he that soweth six bushels shall get three measures.
CLV(i) 1 Singing, pray, to My darling am I, a song of My affection for My vineyard:A vineyard becomes My darling's on a horn-like fertile hill, a stone dike am I placing around it, and a rampart I make, 2 and it is being cultivated and its stones thrown out. And it is being planted with a yellow muscat. And I am building a tower in its midst, and, moreover, a wine vat I hew in it, and I am expecting it to yield grapes, yet it is yielding stinking fruit? 3 And now, dweller of Jerusalem, and man of Judah, judge, pray, between Me and My vineyard, 4 what is there to do further for My vineyard, that I have not done for it? For what reason, when I expect it to yield grapes, yet it is yielding stinking fruit? 5 And now, pray, I shall make known to you what I will do to My vineyard:I will take away its hedge, and it comes to be consumed. I breach its stone dike, and it comes to be tramped." 6 And I am making My vineyard into a chaos, and it is not being pruned. And not being hoed, and up come buckthorn and spines. And I am instructing the thick clouds over it to keep from raining rain on it." 7 For the vineyard of Yahweh of hosts is the house of Israel, and each man of Judah His plant delectable. And He is expecting judgment, and behold! Transgression! Righteousness, and behold! A cry!" 8 Woe to those touching house to house, bringing field near to field unto the limits of a place! That from an associate they may withdraw it, and it causes you to dwell all alone within the land!" 9 For it is heard in the ears of Yahweh of hosts:"Would not many houses great and good come to desolation from having no dweller? 10 For ten acres of vineyard are yielding one bath, and a homer's seed is yielding an ephah."
BBE(i) 1 Let me make a song about my loved one, a song of love for his vine-garden. My loved one had a vine-garden on a fertile hill: 2 And after working the earth of it with a spade, he took away its stones, and put in it a very special vine; and he put up a watchtower in the middle of it, hollowing out in the rock a place for the grape-crushing; and he was hoping that it would give the best grapes, but it gave common grapes. 3 And now, you people of Jerusalem and you men of Judah, be the judges between me and my vine-garden. 4 Is there anything which might have been done for my vine-garden which I have not done? why then, when I was hoping for the best grapes did it give me common grapes? 5 And now, this is what I will do to my vine-garden: I will take away the circle of thorns round it, and it will be burned up; its wall will be broken down and the beasts of the field will go through it; 6 And I will make it waste; its branches will not be touched with the knife, or the earth worked with the spade; but blackberries and thorns will come up in it: and I will give orders to the clouds not to send rain on it. 7 For the vine-garden of the Lord of armies is the people of Israel, and the men of Judah are the plant of his delight: and he was looking for upright judging, and there was blood; for righteousness, and there was a cry for help. 8 Cursed are those who are joining house to house, and putting field to field, till there is no more living-space for any but themselves in all the land! 9 The Lord of armies has said to me secretly, Truly, numbers of great and fair houses will be waste, with no one living in them. 10 For ten fields of vines will only give one measure of wine, and a great amount of seed will only give a small measure of grain.
MKJV(i) 1 Now I will sing to my Beloved a song of my Beloved concerning His vineyard. My Beloved has a vineyard in a very fruitful hill. 2 And He fenced it, and gathered out the stones of it, and planted it with choice vines, and built a tower in its midst, and hewed out a wine vat in it; and He looked for it to produce grapes. And it produced wild grapes. 3 And now, O people of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, please judge between Me and My vineyard. 4 What more could have been done to my vineyard that I have not done in it? Who knows? I looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded rotten grapes. 5 And now I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard; I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; and break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down; 6 and I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor dug; but briers and thorns shall come up. And I will command the clouds that they rain no rain on it. 7 For the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah His pleasant plant; and He looked for justice, but behold bloody iniquity; for righteousness, but behold a cry! 8 Woe to those who join house to house, laying field to field, until the end of space, and you are made to dwell alone in the middle of the land! 9 Jehovah of Hosts swore in my ears, Truly many houses shall be deserted, big and fair, without inhabitant. 10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of a homer shall yield an ephah.
LITV(i) 1 Now I will sing to my Beloved a song of my Beloved concerning His vineyard: My Beloved has a vineyard in a fruitful horn. 2 And He dug it, and cleared it of stones, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in its midst, and also hewed out a wine vat in it. And He waited for it to produce grapes, but it produced rotten grapes. 3 And now, O people of Jerusalem and men of Judah, I ask you, judge between Me and My vineyard. 4 What more could have been done to My vineyard that I have not done in it? Who knows? I waited for it to yield grapes, but it yielded rotten grapes. 5 And now I will make known to you what I will do then to My vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be burned. I will breach its wall, and it will become a trampling ground. 6 And I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned nor hoed; but briers and thorns shall come up. And I will command the clouds from raining rain on it. 7 For the vineyard of Jehovah of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the man of Judah is His delightful plant. And He waited for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, a cry! 8 Woe to those touching house to house, bringing near field to field until the end of space, and you are made to dwell alone in the middle of the land! 9 Jehovah of Hosts has sworn in my ears, If not, many houses shall be a waste, big and beautiful ones without inhabitant. 10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of a homer shall yield an ephah.

SONG OF THE VINEYARD
I beseech, that I sing to my beloved - a song of my beloved touching his vineyard - my beloved has a vineyard in the horn of the son of oil: 2 and he walls it and stones the stones; and plants with the choice, and builds a tower in the midst; and also makes a trough therein: and he awaits it to work grapes and it works stinkweeds. 3 And now, O settlers of Yeru Shalem and men of Yah Hudah, judge, I beseech you, between me and my vineyard. 4 What more work I to my vineyard that I worked not therein? Why, when I awaited it to work grapes, worked it stinkweeds? 5 And now go to; I have you know what I work to my vineyard: I turn aside the hedge and burn it; and breach the wall to trample on: 6 and I place it desolate - neither plucked nor hoed; and briers and thorns ascend: and I misvah the thick clouds to rain no rain thereon. 7 For the vineyard of Yah Veh Sabaoth is the house of Yisra El, and the men of Yah Hudah his plant of delights: and he awaits judgment; and behold, oppression: for justness; and behold, a cry. 8
HO AND JUDGMENT
Ho to them who touch house to house, who approach field to field, until the final place, to settle alone midst the earth! 9 In my ears, Yah Veh Sabaoth, surely many houses become desolate - great and good, without settler. 10 For ten acres of vineyard work one bath, and the seed of an chomer works an ephah.

My beloved has a vineyard in a very fruitful hill: 2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the best vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. 3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard. 4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes? 5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down: 6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor dug; but there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry. 8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth! 9 In mine ears said the LORD of hosts, Truthfully many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant. 10 Yea, ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.

EJ2000(i) 1 ¶ Now will I sing to my well-beloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My well-beloved had a vineyard in the horn of the sons of oil; 2 and he had fenced it and gathered out the stones thereof and planted it with the choicest vine and built a tower in the midst of it and also made a winepress therein; and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes. 3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, between me and my vineyard. 4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Therefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, did it bring forth wild grapes? 5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be eaten up; and break down its wall, and it shall be trodden down: 6 And I will lay it waste; it shall not be pruned, nor hoed; but briers and thorns shall come up there; I will even command the clouds that they rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the LORD of the hosts is the house of Israel and every man of Judah his pleasant plant; and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry. 8 ¶ Woe unto those that join house to house, that lay field to field, until they have done away with the borders! Will ye dwell alone in the midst of the earth? 9 In my ears, the LORD of the hosts said, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant. 10 For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.
CAB(i) 1 Now I will sing to my Beloved a song of my Beloved concerning His vineyard. My Beloved had a vineyard on a high hill in a fertile place. 2 And I made a hedge round it, and dug a trench, and planted a choice vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and dug a place for the wine vat in it; and I waited for it to bring forth grapes, and it brought forth thorns. 3 And now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and every man of Judah, judge between Me and My vineyard. 4 What shall I do anymore to My vineyard, that I have not done to it? Whereas I expected it to bring forth grapes, but it has brought forth thorns. 5 And now I will tell you what I will do to My vineyard; I will take away its hedge, and it shall be for a spoil; and I will pull down its walls, and it shall be left to be trodden down. 6 And I will forsake My vineyard; and it shall not be pruned, nor dug, and thorns shall come up upon it as on barren land; and I will command the clouds to rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah His beloved plant; I expected it to bring forth judgment, and it brought forth iniquity; and not righteousness, but a cry. 8 Woe to them that join house to house, and add field to field, that they may take away something of their neighbor's; will you dwell alone upon the land? 9 For these things have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts; for though many houses should be built, many and fair houses shall be desolate, and there shall be no inhabitants in them. 10 For where ten yoke of oxen plow the land shall yield one jar full, and he that sows six homers shall produce three measures.
LXX2012(i) 1 Now I will sing to [my] beloved a song of my beloved concerning my vineyard. [My] beloved had a vineyard on a high hill in a fertile place. 2 And I made a hedge round it, and dug a trench, and planted a choice vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and dug a place for the wine-vat in it: and I waited [for it] to bring forth grapes, and it brought forth thorns. 3 And now, you⌃ dwellers in Jerusalem, and [every] man of Juda, judge between me and my vineyard. 4 What shall I do any more to my vineyard, that I have not done to it? Whereas I expected [it] to bring forth grapes, but it has brought forth thorns. 5 And now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it shall be for a spoil; and I will pull down its walls, and it shall be [left] to be trodden down. 6 And I will forsake my vineyard; and it shall not be pruned, nor dug, and thorns shall come up upon it as on barren land; and I will command the clouds to rain no rain upon it. 7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Juda [his] beloved plant: I expected [it] to bring forth judgment, and it brought forth iniquity; and not righteousness, but a cry. 8 Woe [to them] that join house to house, and add field to field, that they may take away something of their neighbor's: will you⌃ dwell alone upon the land? 9 For these things have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts: for though many houses should be built, many and fair houses shall be desolate, and there shall be no inhabitants in them. 10 For where ten yoke of oxen plow [the land] shall yield one, and he that sows six homers shall produce three measures.
NSB(i) 1 Let me sing to my loved one a song of my beloved concerning his vineyard: My loved one had a vineyard on a fertile hill. 2 He dug the soil all around and removed its stones. He planted it with the choicest vine. And he built a tower in the middle of it and also hewed out a wine vat in it. Then he expected it to produce good grapes, but it only produced worthless ones. 3 »Now then, you inhabitants of Jerusalem and Judah, judge between my vineyard and me! 4 »What more could have been done for my vineyard than what I have already done for it? When I waited for it to produce good grapes, why did it produce only sour, wild grapes? 5 »Here is what I am going to do to my vineyard: I will take away the hedge and break down the wall that protects it. I will let wild animals eat it and trample it down. 6 »It will turn into a desert, neither pruned nor cultivated. It will be covered with thorns and briars. I will command the clouds not to send rain.« 7 I am Jehovah of Hosts (All Powerful)! Israel is the vineyard, and Judah is the garden I tended with care. I had hoped for honesty and for justice, but dishonesty and cries for mercy were all I found. 8 Cursed are those who are joining house to house, and putting field to field, till there is no more living-space for any but themselves in all the land! 9 With my own ears I heard Jehovah of Hosts say: »Many houses will become empty. Large, beautiful houses will be without people to live in them. 10 »A ten-acre vineyard will produce only six gallons of wine, and two quarts of seed will produce only four quarts of grain.«
ISV(i) 1 The LORD’s Vineyard I will sing for my beloved my love-song concerning his vineyard: “The one I love had a vineyard on a very fertile hill. 2 He plowed its land and cleared it of stones. Then he planted it with the choicest vines, built a watchtower in the middle of it, and dug a wine vat in it; He expected it to produce good grapes, but it produced only wild ones.” 3 “So now, you inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, judge, won’t you please, between me and my vineyard. 4 What more could I do in my vineyard, that I haven’t already done? When I expected it to produce good grapes, why did it yield wild ones? 5 “Now, let me tell you, won’t you please, what I’m going to do to my vineyard. “I’m going to take away its protective hedge, and it will be devoured; I’ll break down its wall, and it will be trampled. 6 I’ll make it a wasteland, and it won’t be pruned or cultivated. Instead, briers and thorns will grow up. I’ll also issue commands to the clouds, that they drop no rain upon it.” 7 For the vineyard of the LORD of the Heavenly Armies is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are the garden in which he delights. He looked for justice, but saw only bloodshed; he searched for righteousness, but heard only an outcry!
8 Judgment on Land Barons“How terrible it will be for you who join house to house, who add field to field, until there is no more room, and you have settled yourselves alone in the middle of the land!” 9 The LORD of the Heavenly Armies has declared this so I could hear it: “Surely many houses will become desolate, great and beautiful houses, without occupants. 10 For ten acres of vineyard will produce only one bath, and one omer of seed will produce only one ephah.”
LEB(i) 1 Let me sing for my beloved a song of my love concerning his vineyard: My beloved had a vineyard* on a fertile hill.* 2 And he dug it and cleared it of stones, and he planted it with choice vines,* and he built a watchtower in the middle of it, and he even hewed out a wine vat in it, and he waited for it to yield grapes— but it yielded wild grapes. 3 And now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men* of Judah, judge between me and my vineyard. 4 What more was there to do for my vineyard that I have not done in it? Why did I hope for it to yield grapes, and it yielded wild grapes? 5 And now let me tell you what I myself am about to do to my vineyard.
I will remove its hedge, and it shall become a devastation. I will break down its wall, and it shall become a trampling. 6 And I will make it a wasteland; it shall not be pruned and hoed, and it shall be overgrown with briers* and thornbushes.* And concerning the clouds, I will command them not to send* rain down upon it. 7 For the vineyard of Yahweh of hosts is the house of Israel, and the man* of Judah is the plantation of his delight. And he waited for justice,* but look! Bloodshed!* For righteousness,* but look! A cry of distress!* 8 Ah! Surely* many houses shall become a desolation, large and beautiful ones without inhabitant. 10 For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath,* and the seed of a homer will yield an ephah.*
BSB(i) 1 I will sing for my beloved a song of his vineyard: My beloved had a vineyard on a very fertile hill. 2 He dug it up and cleared the stones and planted the finest vines. He built a watchtower in the middle and dug out a winepress as well. He waited for the vineyard to yield good grapes, but the fruit it produced was sour! 3 “And now, O dwellers of Jerusalem and men of Judah, I exhort you to judge between Me and My vineyard. 4 What more could I have done for My vineyard than I already did for it? Why, when I expected sweet grapes, did it bring forth sour fruit? 5 Now I will tell you what I am about to do to My vineyard: I will take away its hedge, and it will be consumed; I will tear down its wall, and it will be trampled. 6 I will make it a wasteland, neither pruned nor cultivated, and thorns and briers will grow up. I will command the clouds that rain shall not fall on it.” 7 For the vineyard of the LORD of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah are the plant of His delight. He looked for justice, but saw bloodshed; for righteousness, but heard a cry of distress. 8 Woe to you who add house to house and join field to field until no place is left and you live alone in the land. 9 I heard the LORD of Hosts declare: “Surely many houses will become desolate, great mansions left unoccupied. 10 For ten acres of vineyard will yield but a bath of wine, and a homer of seed only an ephah of grain.”

5 Wohlan, ich will euch zeigen, was ich meinem Weinberge tun will.

5 H3045 Wohlan, ich will euch zeigen H3754 , was ich meinem Weinberge H6213 tun H4881 will.

DarbyFR(i) 1

Esperaba juicio, y he aquí opresión; justicia, y he aquí clamor.

Esperaba juicio, y he aquí vileza; justicia, y he aquí clamor.
Esperaba juicio, y he aquí opresión; justicia, y he aquí clamor.

Croatian(i) 1 Zapjevat ću svojemu dragome, pjesmu svog ljubljenog njegovu vinogradu. 2 Okopa ga, iskrči kamenje, posadi ga lozom plemenitom. Posred njega kulu on podiže i u nj tijesak metnu. Nadaše se da će uroditi grožđem, a on izrodi vinjagu. 3 Sad, žitelji jeruzalemski i ljudi Judejci, presudite izmeđ' mene i vinograda mojega. 6 U pustoš ću ga obratiti, ni obrezana ni okopana, nek' u drač i trnje sav zaraste; zabranit ću oblacima da dažde nad njime.
7 Vinice zajisté Hospodina zástupů dům Izraelský jest, a muži Judští révové milí jemu. 9 V uši mé řekl Hospodin zástupů: Jistě žeť domové mnozí zpustnou, velicí a krásní bez obyvatele budou. 10 Nadto deset dílců viničných vydá láhvici jednu, a semena chomer vydá efi.

Finnish(i) 1 Minä veisaan ystävästä, ystäväni veisun hänen viinamäestänsä. Ystävälläni on viinamäki lihavassa paikassa.

Haitian(i) 1 Mwen pral chante yon chante pou nou, yon chante sou zanmi m' ak jaden rezen l' lan. Zanmi m' lan te gen yon jaden rezen, sou tèt yon ti mòn ki te gen yon bon venn tè. 2 Li bat tout tè a, li wete tout wòch ladan l'. Li plante pi bon kalite pye rezen ladan l'. Apre sa, li bati yon ti kay tou won nan mitan jaden an pou veye l'. Li fè yon basen pou kraze rezen yo. Li te kwè jaden an tapral ba li bon rezen. Men, se vye rezen si ase li bay. 3 Lè sa a, zanmi mwen an di: -Nou menm moun lavil Jerizalèm ak moun peyi Jida yo, nou pral di m' kilès nan nou de a, jaden rezen an ak mwen menm, ki antò. 4 Kisa pou m' te fè pou jaden rezen an mwen pa t' fè? Mwen t'ap tann li ban m' bon jan rezen. 5 Enben! M'ap fè nou konnen sa mapral fè jaden rezen mwen an. Mwen pral kraze tout lantiray li a pou bèt antre vin manje l', pou yo kraze l' anba pye yo. 6 M'ap fè l' tounen yon jaden yo piye. Yo p'ap netwaye branch li yo, yo p'ap sekle l' ankò. Zèb pikan ak raje ap fin anvayi l'. Mwen p'ap kite lapli tonbe sou li. 7 Pèp Izrayèl la, se li ki jaden rezen Seyè a, Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a. Moun peyi Jida yo, se yo ki bon plan li te plante a. Li t'ap tann yo mache dwat: Yo lage kò yo nan fè lenjistis. Li t'ap tann yo fè sa ki dwat devan je l', men, nan tout peyi a, se rèl malere ase ou tande. 8 Madichon pou moun k'ap bati kay sou kay, pou moun k'ap achte tè pou mete sou sa yo genyen deja! Talè konsa, p'ap gen plas pou lòt moun nan peyi a. Yo vle se yo menm ase ki pou rete nan peyi a. 9 Men sèman mwen tande Seyè a, Bondye ki gen tout pouvwa a, fè: Tout kay sa yo gen pou yo tounen mazi. Yo te mèt bèl kou yo bèl, yo te mèt gwo kou yo gwo, p'ap gen moun pou rete ladan yo. 10 Jaden rezen ki sou dis kawo tè ap bay yon sèl barik diven. Pou chak dis mamit grenn yo plante, y'a rekòlte yon sèl mamit.
Hungarian(i) 1 Hadd énekelek kedvesemrõl, szerelmesemnek énekét az Õ szõlõjérõl!
Indonesian(i) 1 Dengarlah nyanyianku tentang kebun anggur sahabatku. Seratus liter bibit cuma menghasilkan sepuluh liter gandum."

Lithuanian(i) 1 Aš giedosiu apie savo mylimojo draugo vynuogyną. 9 Kareivijų Viešpats kalbėjo man: “Daugybė didelių ir gražių namų bus tušti ir be gyventojų.
5 A przetoż oznajmię wam, co ja uczynię winnicy mojej: Rozbiorę płot jej, a będzie spustoszona; rozwalę ogrodzenie jej, a będzie podeptana. Oczekiwał sądu, a oto uciśnienie; oczekiwał sprawiedliwości, a oto krzyk. 9 Pan zastępów rzekł w uszy moje: Zaiste wiele domów spustoszeje, a wielkie i piękne domy będą bez obywatela. 10 Do tego dziesięć stajan winnicy przyniosą jednę baryłę wina, a jeden chomer nasienia wyda efa.
Norwegian(i) 1 Jeg vil synge om min elskede, synge min venns sang om hans vingård. Min venn hadde en vingård på en fruktbar haug. 2 Og han gravde den om og renset den for sten og plantet edle vintrær i den og bygget et tårn i dens midte og hugg også ut en perse i den; og han ventet at den skulde bære gode druer, men den bar ville. 3 Og nu, I Jerusalems innbyggere og Judas menn, døm mellem mig og min vingård! 4 Hvad var det mere å gjøre med min vingård, som jeg ikke har gjort med den? Hvorfor bar den ville druer når jeg ventet at den skulde bære gode? 5 Så vil jeg nu la eder vite hvad jeg vil gjøre med min vingård: Jeg vil ta bort dens gjerde, så den blir avgnaget; jeg vil rive ned dens mur, så den blir nedtrådt. 6 Og jeg vil la den ligge øde; den skal ikke skjæres og ikke hakkes, så den skyter op i torn og tistel, og skyene vil jeg byde at de ikke skal la regn falle på den. 7 For Herrens, hærskarenes Guds vingård er Israels hus, og Judas menn hans kjæreste plantning; og han ventet rett, men se, der er blodsutgydelse; han ventet rettferdighet, men se, der er skrik. 8 Ve eder som legger hus til hus og mark til mark, inntil det ikke er mere rum tilbake, så I blir boende alene i landet. 9 I mine ører lyder det fra Herren, hærskarenes Gud: Sannelig, mange hus skal bli øde, store og gode hus skal stå tomme; 10 for en vingård på ti dagers plogland skal gi en bat*, og en homers utsæd skal gi en efa**. / {* omkring 36 liter.} / {** en homer var ti efa, og en efa lik en bat.}
Romanian(i) 1 Voi cînta Prea Iubitului meu, cîntarea Prea Iubitului meu despre via Lui.
