  6 G1161 And G3753 when G2264 Herod G3195 [G5707] would G4254 0 have brought G846 him G4254 [G5721] forth, G1565 the same G3571 night G4074 Peter G2258 [G5713] was G2837 [G5746] sleeping G3342 between G1417 two G4757 soldiers, G1210 [G5772] bound G1417 with two G254 chains: G5037 and G5441 the keepers G4253 before G2374 the door G5083 [G5707] kept G5438 the prison.
  7 G2532 And, G2400 [G5628] behold, G32 a messenger G2962 of the Lord G2186 [G5627] stood by G2532 him, and G5457 a light G2989 [G5656] shone G1722 in G3612 the prison: G1161 and G3960 [G5660] he smote G4074 Peter G4125 on the side, G1453 0 and raised G846 him G1453 [G5656] up, G3004 [G5723] saying, G450 [G5628] Arise G1722 G5034 quickly. G2532 And G846 his G254 chains G1601 [G5627] fell off G1537 from G5495 his hands.
  8 G5037 And G32 the messenger G2036 [G5627] said G4314 to G846 him, G4024 [G5669] Gird thyself, G2532 and G5265 [G5669] bind on G4675 thy G4547 sandals. G1161 And G3779 so G4160 [G5656] he did. G2532 And G3004 [G5719] he saith G846 to him, G4016 0 Cast G2440 thy garment G4016 [G5640] about G4675 thee, G2532 and G190 [G5720] follow G3427 me.
  9 G2532 And G1831 [G5631] he went out, G190 [G5707] and followed G846 him; G2532 and G1492 [G5715] knew G3756 not G3754 that G2076 [G5748] it was G227 true G3588 which G1096 [G5740] was done G1223 by G32 the messenger; G1161 but G1380 [G5707] thought G991 [G5721] he saw G3705 a vision.
  10 G1161 When G1330 [G5631] they were past G4413 the first G2532 and G1208 the second G5438 guard, G2064 [G5627] they came G1909 to G4603 the iron G4439 gate G5342 [G5723] that leadeth G1519 to G4172 the city; G3748 which G455 [G5681] opened G846 to them G844 automatically: G2532 and G1831 [G5631] they went out, G4281 [G5627] and passed on through G3391 one G4505 street; G2532 and G2112 immediately G32 the messenger G868 [G5627] departed G575 from G846 him.
  11 G2532 And G4074 Peter G1096 [G5637] having come G1722 to G1438 himself, G2036 [G5627] said, G3568 Now G1492 [G5758] I know G230 truly, G3754 that G2962 the Lord G1821 [G5656] hath sent G846 his G32 messenger, G2532 and G1807 [G5639] hath delivered G3165 me G1537 out of G5495 the hand G2264 of Herod, G2532 and G3956 from all G3588 the G4329 apprehension G3588 of the G2992 people G3588 of the G2453 Judeans.

Mace(i) 6 now the very night preceding the day which Herod design'd for his execution, Peter bound with two chains, was sleeping between two soldiers, while the other guards secured the prison door; when an angel of 7 the Lord suddenly appear'd and fill'd the room with light, and touching Peter on the side, awak'd him, saying, rise, be quick. and immediately his chains fell from his hands. 8 put on your girdle, continu'd the angel, and bind on your sandals: which he did. throw your cloak over you, said the angel, and follow me. 9 so he went out after the angel without knowing that what the angel had done, was real; but thinking it was all a vision. 10 when they had pass'd the first and second guard, they came to the iron-gate that leads to the city, which open'd to them of itself: so they went out and pass'd together thro' one street: when all of a sudden the angel quitted Peter. Then coming to himself; now, 11 said he, I know for certain, that the Lord has sent his angel, and has deliver'd me from the hands of Herod, and from what the Jews were in expectation of.
Whiston(i) 6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains; But the keepers before the door kept the prison. 7 And behold, an angel of the Lord came upon Peter, and a light shined in the prison-house, and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 But the angel said unto him, Gird thy self, and bind on thy sandals: and so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me. 9 And he went out and followed, and knew not that it was true which was done by theangel: for he thought he saw a vision. 10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of its own accord: and they went out, and descended the seven steps, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him. 11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know that the Lord hath surely sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and [from] all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
Wesley(i) 6 And when Herod was about to bring him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. 7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood over him, and light shined in the house: and smiting Peter on the side he waked him, saying, Rise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals; and he did so. Worsley(i) 6 And when Herod was about to bring him forth, that very night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the guards at the door watched the prison. 7 And behold an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the room; and smiting Peter on the side, he waked him, and said, Rise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself and tie on thy sandals: and he did so. And he saith unto him, Throw thy garment round thee, and follow me. 9 So he went out and followed him; and he did not know, that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision. 10 And passing through the first and second guard, they came to the iron gate, that leadeth into the city, which of its own accord opened to them: and they went out and passed on through one street; and then the angel departed from him. 11 And Peter being come to himself said, Now I know truly, that the Lord hath sent his angel and hath delivered me from the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
Haweis(i) 6 Now when Herod was going to bring him forth, the same night was Peter fast asleep between the two soldiers, fastened to them with two chains: and the guards before the door kept the prison. 7 And, lo! an angel of the Lord stood there, and light glared through the apartment: then with a stroke on Peter's side, he roused him up, and said, Arise quickly. And his chains fell from his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, Gird thyself up, and bind on thy sandals. And he did so. And he said unto him, Wrap thyself in thy mantle, and follow me. 9 And going out, he followed him; and knew not that it was a reality which was done by the angel; but he supposed he saw a vision. 10 So passing through the first ward and the second, they came to the iron door which leads into the city, which opened to them spontaneously: and being come out, they walked forward through one street; and immediately the angel departed from him. 11 And Peter coming to himself, said, Now I know assuredly, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me from the hand of Herod, and all the eager expectation of the people of the Jews.

And touching Peter's side he roused him up, saying, Arise quickly. Upon which his chains dropped from his hands. 8 Then the angel said to him, Gird thyself and put on thy sandals; and when he had done so, then he saith to him, Throw thy mantle around thee and follow me. 9 So going out, he followed him, but did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he saw a vision. 10 And having passed the first and second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city, which opened to them of its own accord. So, going out, they proceeded on through one street, and suddenly the angel left him. 11 Then Peter coming to himself, said, Now I know certainly that the Lord hath sent his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the Jews.

And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And he did so. Rotherham(i) 6 And, when Herod was about to bring him forth, on that night, was Peter sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, guards, also, before the door, were keeping the prison. 7 And lo! a messenger of the Lord stood over him, and a light shone in the cell; and, smiting the side of Peter, he roused him up, saying––Rise up quickly! And his chains fell off out of his hands. 8 And the messenger said unto him––Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And he did so. And he saith unto him––Throw around thee thy mantle, and be following me. 9 And, coming out, he began following, and knew not that it was true which was coming about through means of the messenger; but supposed that, a vision, he was beholding. 10 And, passing through the first ward and the second, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth into the city, the which, of its own accord, opened unto them; and, coming out, they went on through one street, and, straightway, the messenger was parted from him. 11 And, Peter, coming to himself said––Now, know I, of a truth, that the Lord hath sent forth his messenger, and taken me out of the hand of Herod, and all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
Twentieth_Century(i) 6 Just when Herod was intending to bring him before the people, on that very night Peter was asleep between two soldiers, chained to them both, while there were sentries in front of the door, guarding the prison. 7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell. The angel struck Peter on the side, and roused him with the words: "Get up quickly." 8 The chains dropped from his wrists, and then the angel said: "Put on your girdle and sandals." When Peter had done so, the angel added: "Throw your cloak round you and follow me." 9 Peter followed him out, not knowing that what was happening under the angel's guidance was real, but thinking that he was seeing a vision. 10 Passing the first Guard, and then the second, they came to the iron gate leading into the city, which opened to them of itself; and, when they had passed through that, and had walked along one street, all at once the angel left him. 11 Then Peter came to himself and said: "Now I know beyond all doubt that the Lord has sent his angel, and has rescued me from Herod's hands and from all that the Jewish people have been expecting."
Godbey(i) 6 But when Herod was about to lead him forth, and Peter was sleeping that night between two soldiers, and bound with two chains; and the guards were keeping guard before the door. 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord stood over him, and a light shone in the house; and having touched the side of Peter, he raised him up, saying; Rise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, Gird thyself, and put on thy sandals. And he thus did. And he says to him, Throw thy cloak about thee, and follow me. 9 And having come out, he was following; and did not know that it is true which was done by the angel; but he was thinking that he saw a vision. 10 And having come through the first guard and the second, they came to the iron gate leading into the city; which opened to them of its own accord: and having come out, they came on to the first street; and the angel immediately departed from him. 11 And Peter coming to himself, said, Now I know truly, that the Lord sent his angel, and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, out of all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
WNT(i) 6 Now when Herod was on the point of taking him out of prison, that very night Peter was asleep between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and guards were on duty outside the door. 7 Suddenly an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the cell; and, striking Peter on the side, he woke him and said, "Rise quickly." Instantly the chains dropped off his wrists. 8 "Fasten your girdle," said the angel, "and tie on your sandals." He did so. Then the angel said, "Throw your cloak round you, and follow me." 9 So Peter went out, following him, yet could not believe that what the angel was doing was real, but supposed that he saw a vision. 10 And passing through the first ward and the second, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. This opened to them of itself; and, going out, they passed on through one of the streets, and then suddenly the angel left him. 11 Peter coming to himself said, "Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel and has rescued me from the power of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were anticipating."
Worrell(i) 6 And, when Herod was about to bring him forth, in that night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains; and guards before the door were keeping the prison. 7 And, behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shined in the cell; and, smiting the side of Peter, he raised him up, saying, "Rise up quickly!" And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, "Gird yourself, and bind on your sandals." And he did so. And he says to him, "Cast your garment around you, and follow me." 9 And, going forth, he was following him; and he knew not that it was true, which was being done by the angel, but was thinking that he saw a vision. 10 And, having passed the first and second watch; they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and, going out, they passed on through one street, and straightway the angel departed from him. 11 And Peter, having come to himself, said, "Now I know truly that the Lord sent forth His angel, and delivered me out of Herod's hand, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.
Moffatt(i) 6 The very night before Herod meant to have him produced, Peter lay asleep between two soldiers; he was fastened by two chains, and sentries in front of the door guarded the prison. 7 But an angel of the Lord flashed on him, and a light shone in the cell; striking Peter on the side he woke him, saying, "Quick, get up!" The fetters dropped from his hands, 8 and the angel said to him, "Gird yourself and put on your sandals." He did so. Then said the angel, "Put on your coat and follow me." 9 And he followed him out, not realizing that what the angel did was real, but imagining that he saw a vision. 10 When they had passed the first guard and the second they came to the iron gate leading into the city, which opened to them of its own accord; they passed out, and after they had gone through one street, the angel immediately left him. 11 Then Peter came to his senses and said, "Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were anticipating."

It opened to them of itself, and they passed out and went along one street, when suddenly the angel left him. 11 Then Peter came to himself, and he said, "Now I am certain that the Lord sent his angel and rescued me from the power of Herod and all that the Jewish people were expecting."

11 G4074 And when Peter G1096 was come G1438 to himself, G2036 he said, G3568 Now G1492 I know G230 of a surety, G2962 that the LORD G1821 has sent G32 his angel, G1807 and has delivered G5495 me out of the hand G2264 of Herod, G3956 and from all G4329 the expectation G2992 of the people G2453 of the Jews.

RYLT(i) 6 and when Herod was about to bring him forth, the same night was Peter sleeping between two soldiers, having been bound with two chains, guards also before the door were keeping the prison, 7 and lo, a messenger of the Lord stood by, and a light shone in the buildings, and having smitten Peter on the side, he raised him up, saying, 'Rise in haste,' and his chains fell from off his hands. 8 The messenger also said to him, 'Gird yourself, and bind on your sandals;' and he did so; and he said to him, 'Put your garment round and be following me;' 9 and having gone forth, he was following him, and he knew not that it is true that which is done through the messenger, and was thinking he saw a vision, 10 and having passed through a first ward, and a second, they came unto the iron gate that is leading to the city, which of its own accord did open to them, and having gone forth, they went on through one street, and immediately the messenger departed from him. 11 And Peter having come to himself, said, 'Now I have known of a truth that the Lord did sent forth His messenger, and did deliver me out of the hand of Herod, and all the expectation of the people of the Jews;'
EJ2000(i) 6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and the guards before the door that kept the prison. 7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shone in the prison, and he smote Peter on the side and woke him up, saying, Arise quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands. 8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he said unto him, Cast thy garment about thee and follow me. 9 And he went out and followed him and knew not that it was true which was done by the angel, but thought he saw a vision. 10 When they were past the first and the second guard, they came unto the iron gate that leads unto the city, which opened to them of its own accord, and they went out and passed on through one street, and then the angel departed from him. 11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety that the Lord has sent his angel and has delivered me out of the hand of Herod and from all the people of the Jews who waited for me.
CAB(i) 6 But when Herod was about to bring him forth, on that night Peter was sleeping, between two soldiers, having been bound with two chains; and guards before the door were keeping the prison. 7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood there, and a light shined in the prison room; and striking the side of Peter, he roused him saying, "Arise quickly!" And his chains fell away from his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, "Gird yourself and put on your sandals"; and he did so. And he said to him, "Put on your cloak and follow me." 9 And going out, he was following him, and did not know that the thing taking place by the angel was true, but he was thinking that he was seeing a vision. 10 And going though the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate which leads into the city, which was opened to them of its own accord; and going out, they went forward one street, and immediately the angel withdrew from him. 11 And Peter, having come to himself, said, "Now I know truly that the Lord has sent forth His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jews."
WPNT(i) 6 So when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, with guards protecting the prison in front of the doors. 7 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord was there, and a light shone in the cell; striking Peter on the side he roused him saying, “Quick, get up!”, and the chains fell away from his wrists. 8 Then the angel said to him, “Fasten your belt and put on your sandals”. So he did. Then he said to him, “Put on your cloak and follow me”. 9 So he went out and started following him, not realizing that what the angel was doing was real; he supposed he was seeing a vision. 10 Passing through the first and second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city, that opened for them by itself; upon exiting they advanced one block, and suddenly the angel left him. 11 When Peter had come to himself he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord sent His angel and delivered me out of Herod’s hand and from all the expectation of the Jewish people”.
JMNT(i) 6 So when Herod was being about to bring him forth (or: produce him [to them]), during that night Peter – being bound with two chains – continued sleeping between two soldiers, besides [the] guards before the door [who] continued watching over and guarding the prison (or: jail). 7 And yet, look, and consider this! An agent of and from [the] Lord (or: [Christ's or Yahweh's] messenger) made a stand upon [the scene; D reads: stood by Peter], and light shown (or: a light shines) within the midst of the room (= prison cell). Now tapping Peter's side, he (she; it) raised him up, while saying, "Get up quickly!" Then his chains at once fell off from [his] hands. 8 Now the agent (messenger) said to him, "Gird yourself (= Fasten your garments with your belt, so as to be ready to walk) and bind on your sandals." So he did so. Then he (she; it) says to him, "Throw your outer garment (robe; cloak) around [you] and keep following me." 9 And thus, after going out, he continued following, and yet he had not seen or perceived so as to know that the [incident] presently happening by means of the agent (messenger) is real, so he continued thinking (imagining; supposing) [himself] to be seeing a vision (effect of something seen). 10 Now, after passing through [the] first guard station, and then a second one, they came upon the iron gate, [which] now is leading into the city – which automatically (spontaneously; by self-acting) was opened up to (or: for) them. And so, having gone out, they proceeded [along] one narrow street (lane; alley) – then suddenly the agent (messenger) stood away (or: withdrew; departed) from him. 11 Next, Peter, suddenly coming to be within (= coming to) himself, said, "Now I have truly seen, and thus am really aware, that the Lord [= Yahweh or Christ] sent forth His agent (messenger) out on a mission, and he extricated me (plucked me out) from the midst of Herod's hand (= power and authority), and from the entire anticipation of the Judean people (or: from everything the people of Judea were focusing their thinking to and looking toward)."
NSB(i) 6 It was the night before Herod was to bring him to trial. Peter was sleeping between two soldiers. He was bound with two chains. Sentries stood guard at the prison door. 7 Suddenly God’s angel came to him. A light shined in the prison. He struck Peter on the side, and woke him up saying: »Get up quickly.« And his chains fell off of his hands. 8 The angel said: »Dress yourself and put on sandals. Put on your coat and follow me.« So Peter did as he was told. 9 Peter followed him out of the prison. He did not know what the angel was doing was really happening. He thought he saw a vision. 10 They went past the first and second guard to the Iron Gate that leads to the city. The gate opened and went out on the street. The angel then departed from him. 11 Peter came to himself and he said: »Now I know for sure that God sent his angel and delivered me out of the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jews.«
ISV(i) 6 That very night, before Herod was going to bring him out, Peter, bound with two chains, was sleeping between two soldiers, and guards in front of the door were watching the prisoners. 7 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He tapped Peter on his side, woke him up, and said, “Get up quickly!” His chains fell from his wrists. 8 Then the angel told him, “Tuck in your shirt and put on your sandals!” He did this. Then the angel told him, “Put on your coat and follow me!” 9 So Peter went out and began to follow him, not realizing that what was being done by the angel was real; he thought he was seeing a vision. 10 They passed the first guard, then the second, and came to the iron gate that led into the city. It opened by itself for them, and they went outside and proceeded one block when the angel suddenly left him.
11 Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I’m sure that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod and from everything the Jewish people were expecting!”

When they had gone outside and walked the length of one block, the angel suddenly left him. 11 Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know for sure that the Lord has sent His angel and rescued me from Herod’s grasp and from everything the Jewish people were anticipating.”

Anđeo udari Petra u rebra, probudi ga i reče: "Ustaj brzo!" I spadoše mu verige s ruku. 8 Anđeo mu reče: "Opaši se i priveži obuću!" On učini tako.
10 A prošedše skrze první i druhou stráž, přišli k bráně železné, kteráž vede do města, a ta se jim hned sama otevřela. A všedše skrze ni, přešli ulici jednu, a hned odšel anděl od něho.

Kaj li faris tion.

Viņš sita Pēterim sānos, uzmodināja to un sacīja: Celies žigli! Tie atvērās paši no sevis.
Lithuanian(i) 6 Paskutinę naktį prieš Erodui išvedant Petrą, tas, supančiotas dviem grandinėmis, miegojo tarp dviejų kareivių.
PBG(i) 6 A gdy go już miał wywieść Herod, onejże nocy spał Piotr między dwoma żołnierzami, związany dwoma łańcuchami, a stróże przed drzwiami strzegli więzienia. 7 A oto Anioł Pański przystąpił, a światłość się rozświeciła w gmachu; a trąciwszy w bok Piotra, obudził go, mówiąc: Wstań rychło! 11 Tedy Piotr przyszedłszy do siebie rzekł: Teraz znam prawdziwie, iż posłał Pan Anioła swego i wyrwał mię z ręki Herodowej i ze wszystkiego oczekiwania ludu żydowskiego.
8 Apoi îngerul i -a zis:,,Încinge-te, şi leagă-ţi încălţămintele.`` Şi el a făcut aşa. I se părea că are o vedenie.
