2 Kings 21 Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign , and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem . And his mother's name was Hephzibah.

2 H6213 And he did [H8799] H7451 that which was evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H8441 , after the abominations H1471 of the heathen H3068 , whom the LORD H3423 cast out [H8689] H6440 before H1121 the children H3478 of Israel.

3 H1129 For he built up [H8799] H7725 again [H8799] H1116 the high places H2396 which Hezekiah H1 his father H6 had destroyed [H8765] H6965 ; and he reared up [H8686] H4196 altars H1168 for Baal H6213 , and made [H8799] H842 a grove H6213 , as did [H8804] H256 Ahab H4428 king H3478 of Israel H7812 ; and worshipped [H8691] H6635 all the host H8064 of heaven H5647 , and served [H8799] them.

5 H1129 And he built [H8799] H4196 altars H6635 for all the host H8064 of heaven H8147 in the two H2691 courts H1004 of the house H3068 of the LORD.

6 H1121 And he made his son H5674 pass [H8689] H784 through the fire H6049 , and observed times [H8782] H5172 , and used enchantments [H8765] H6213 , and dealt [H8804] H178 with familiar spirits H3049 and wizards H6213 : he wrought [H8800] H7235 much [H8689] H7451 wickedness H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H3707 , to provoke him to anger [H8687] .

10 H3068 And the LORD H1696 spake [H8762] H3027 by H5650 his servants H5030 the prophets H559 , saying [H8800] ,

11 H4519 Because Manasseh H4428 king H3063 of Judah H6213 hath done [H8804] H8441 these abominations H7489 , and hath done wickedly [H8689] H567 above all that the Amorites H6213 did [H8804] H6440 , which were before H3063 him, and hath made Judah H2398 also to sin [H8686] H1544 with his idols:

12 H559 Therefore thus saith [H8804] H3068 the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H935 , Behold, I am bringing [H8688] H7451 such evil H3389 upon Jerusalem H3063 and Judah H8085 , that whosoever heareth [H8802] H8147 of it, both H241 his ears H6750 shall tingle [H8799] .

13 H5186 And I will stretch [H8804] H3389 over Jerusalem H6957 the line H8111 of Samaria H4949 , and the plummet H1004 of the house H256 of Ahab H4229 : and I will wipe [H8804] H3389 Jerusalem H4229 as a man wipeth [H8799] H6747 a dish H4229 , wiping [H8804] H2015 it, and turning [H8804] H6440 it upside down.

14 H5203 And I will forsake [H8804] H7611 the remnant H5159 of mine inheritance H5414 , and deliver [H8804] H3027 them into the hand H341 of their enemies [H8802] H957 ; and they shall become a prey H4933 and a spoil H341 to all their enemies [H8802] ;

18 H4519 And Manasseh H7901 slept [H8799] H1 with his fathers H6912 , and was buried [H8735] H1588 in the garden H1004 of his own house H1588 , in the garden H5798 of Uzza H526 : and Amon H1121 his son H4427 reigned [H8799] in his stead.

19 H526 Amon H6242 was twenty H8147 and two H8141 years H1121 old H4427 when he began to reign [H8800] H4427 , and he reigned [H8804] H8147 two H8141 years H3389 in Jerusalem H517 . And his mother's H8034 name H4922 was Meshullemeth H1323 , the daughter H2743 of Haruz H3192 of Jotbah.

20 H6213 And he did [H8799] H7451 that which was evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H1 , as his father H4519 Manasseh H6213 did [H8804] .

21 H3212 And he walked [H8799] H1870 in all the way H1 that his father H1980 walked in [H8804] H5647 , and served [H8799] H1544 the idols H1 that his father H5647 served [H8804] H7812 , and worshipped [H8691] them:

22 H5800 And he forsook [H8799] H3068 the LORD H430 God H1 of his fathers H1980 , and walked [H8804] H1870 not in the way H3068 of the LORD.

23 H5650 And the servants H526 of Amon H7194 conspired [H8799] H4191 against him, and slew [H8686] H4428 the king H1004 in his own house.

24 H5971 And the people H776 of the land H5221 slew [H8686] H7194 all them that had conspired [H8802] H4428 against king H526 Amon H5971 ; and the people H776 of the land H2977 made Josiah H1121 his son H4427 king [H8686] in his stead.
