  2 H7311 Forasmuch as I exalted [H8689]   H6083 thee out of the dust H5414 , and made [H8799]   H5057 thee prince H5971 over my people H3478 Israel H3212 ; and thou hast walked [H8799]   H1870 in the way H3379 of Jeroboam H5971 , and hast made my people H3478 Israel H2398 to sin [H8686]   H3707 , to provoke me to anger [H8687]   H2403 with their sins;
  3 H1197 Behold, I will take away [H8686]   H310 the posterity H1201 of Baasha H310 , and the posterity H1004 of his house H5414 ; and will make [H8804]   H1004 thy house H1004 like the house H3379 of Jeroboam H1121 the son H5028 of Nebat.
  4 H4191 Him that dieth [H8801]   H1201 of Baasha H5892 in the city H3611 shall the dogs H398 eat [H8799]   H4191 ; and him that dieth [H8801]   H7704 of his in the fields H5775 shall the fowls H8064 of the air H398 eat [H8799]  .
  5 H3499 Now the rest H1697 of the acts H1201 of Baasha H6213 , and what he did [H8804]   H1369 , and his might H3789 , are they not written [H8803]   H5612 in the book H1697 of the chronicles H3117   H4428 of the kings H3478 of Israel?
  6 H1201 So Baasha H7901 slept [H8799]   H1 with his fathers H6912 , and was buried [H8735]   H8656 in Tirzah H425 : and Elah H1121 his son H4427 reigned [H8799]   in his stead.
  7 H3027 And also by the hand H5030 of the prophet H3058 Jehu H1121 the son H2607 of Hanani H1697 came the word H3068 of the LORD H1201 against Baasha H1004 , and against his house H7451 , even for all the evil H6213 that he did [H8804]   H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H3707 , in provoking him to anger [H8687]   H4639 with the work H3027 of his hands H1004 , in being like the house H3379 of Jeroboam H5221 ; and because he killed [H8689]   him.
  8 H6242 In the twenty H8141   H8337 and sixth H8141 year H609 of Asa H4428 king H3063 of Judah H425 began Elah H1121 the son H1201 of Baasha H4427 to reign [H8804]   H3478 over Israel H8656 in Tirzah H8141 , two years.
  9 H5650 And his servant H2174 Zimri H8269 , captain H4276 of half H7393 his chariots H7194 , conspired [H8799]   H8656 against him, as he was in Tirzah H8354 , drinking [H8802]   H7910 himself drunk H1004 in the house H777 of Arza H1004 steward of his house H8656 in Tirzah.
  10 H2174 And Zimri H935 went in [H8799]   H5221 and smote [H8686]   H4191 him, and killed [H8686]   H6242 him, in the twenty H7651 and seventh H8141 year H609 of Asa H4428 king H3063 of Judah H4427 , and reigned [H8799]   in his stead.
  11 H4427 And it came to pass, when he began to reign [H8800]   H3427 , as soon as he sat [H8800]   H3678 on his throne H5221 , that he slew [H8689]   H1004 all the house H1201 of Baasha H7604 : he left [H8689]   H8366 him not one that pisseth [H8688]   H7023 against a wall H1350 , neither of his kinsfolks [H8802]   H7453 , nor of his friends.
  12 H2174 Thus did Zimri H8045 destroy [H8686]   H1004 all the house H1201 of Baasha H1697 , according to the word H3068 of the LORD H1696 , which he spake [H8765]   H1201 against Baasha H3027 by H3058 Jehu H5030 the prophet,
  13 H2403 For all the sins H1201 of Baasha H2403 , and the sins H425 of Elah H1121 his son H2398 , by which they sinned [H8804]   H3478 , and by which they made Israel H2398 to sin [H8689]   H3068 , in provoking the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H3707 to anger [H8687]   H1892 with their vanities.
  14 H3499 Now the rest H1697 of the acts H425 of Elah H6213 , and all that he did [H8804]   H3789 , are they not written [H8803]   H5612 in the book H1697 of the chronicles H3117   H4428 of the kings H3478 of Israel?
  15 H6242 In the twenty H8141   H7651 and seventh H8141 year H609 of Asa H4428 king H3063 of Judah H2174 did Zimri H4427 reign [H8804]   H7651 seven H3117 days H8656 in Tirzah H5971 . And the people H2583 were encamped [H8802]   H1405 against Gibbethon H6430 , which belonged to the Philistines.
  16 H5971 And the people H2583 that were encamped [H8802]   H8085 heard [H8799]   H559 say [H8800]   H2174 , Zimri H7194 hath conspired [H8804]   H5221 , and hath also slain [H8689]   H4428 the king H3478 : wherefore all Israel H6018 made Omri H8269 , the captain H6635 of the host H4427 , king [H8686]   H3478 over Israel H3117 that day H4264 in the camp.
  17 H6018 And Omri H5927 went up [H8799]   H1405 from Gibbethon H3478 , and all Israel H6696 with him, and they besieged [H8799]   H8656 Tirzah.
  18 H2174 And it came to pass, when Zimri H7200 saw [H8800]   H5892 that the city H3920 was taken [H8738]   H935 , that he went [H8799]   H759 into the palace H4428 of the king's H1004 house H8313 , and burnt [H8799]   H4428 the king's H1004 house H784 over him with fire H4191 , and died [H8799]  ,
  19 H2403 For his sins H2398 which he sinned [H8804]   H6213 in doing [H8800]   H7451 evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H3212 , in walking [H8800]   H1870 in the way H3379 of Jeroboam H2403 , and in his sin H6213 which he did [H8804]   H3478 , to make Israel H2398 to sin [H8687]  .
  20 H3499 Now the rest H1697 of the acts H2174 of Zimri H7195 , and his treason H7194 that he wrought [H8804]   H3789 , are they not written [H8803]   H5612 in the book H1697 of the chronicles H3117   H4428 of the kings H3478 of Israel?
  21 H5971 Then were the people H3478 of Israel H2505 divided [H8735]   H2677 into two parts H2677 : half H5971 of the people H1961 followed [H8804]   H310   H8402 Tibni H1121 the son H1527 of Ginath H4427 , to make him king [H8687]   H2677 ; and half H310 followed H6018 Omri.
  22 H5971 But the people H310 that followed H6018 Omri H2388 prevailed [H8799]   H854 against H5971 the people H310 that followed H8402 Tibni H1121 the son H1527 of Ginath H8402 : so Tibni H4191 died [H8799]   H6018 , and Omri H4427 reigned [H8799]  .
  23 H7970 In the thirty H8141   H259 and first H8141 year H609 of Asa H4428 king H3063 of Judah H6018 began Omri H4427 to reign [H8804]   H3478 over Israel H8147 , twelve H6240   H8141 years H8337 : six H8141 years H4427 reigned [H8804]   H8656 he in Tirzah.
  24 H7069 And he bought [H8799]   H2022 the hill H8111 Samaria H8106 of Shemer H3603 for two talents H3701 of silver H1129 , and built [H8799]   H2022 on the hill H7121 , and called [H8799]   H8034 the name H5892 of the city H1129 which he built [H8804]   H8034 , after the name H8106 of Shemer H113 , owner H2022 of the hill H8111 , Samaria.
  25 H6018 But Omri H6213 wrought [H8799]   H7451 evil H5869 in the eyes H3068 of the LORD H7489 , and did worse [H8686]   H6440 than all that were before him.
  26 H3212 For he walked [H8799]   H1870 in all the way H3379 of Jeroboam H1121 the son H5028 of Nebat H2403 , and in his sin H3478 wherewith he made Israel H2398 to sin [H8689]   H3068 , to provoke the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H3707 to anger [H8687]   H1892 with their vanities.
  27 H3499 Now the rest H1697 of the acts H6018 of Omri H6213 which he did [H8804]   H1369 , and his might H6213 that he shewed [H8804]   H3789 , are they not written [H8803]   H5612 in the book H1697 of the chronicles H3117   H4428 of the kings H3478 of Israel?
  28 H6018 So Omri H7901 slept [H8799]   H1 with his fathers H6912 , and was buried [H8735]   H8111 in Samaria H256 : and Ahab H1121 his son H4427 reigned [H8799]   in his stead.
  29 H7970 And in the thirty H8141   H8083 and eighth H8141 year H609 of Asa H4428 king H3063 of Judah H256 began Ahab H1121 the son H6018 of Omri H4427 to reign [H8804]   H3478 over Israel H256 : and Ahab H1121 the son H6018 of Omri H4427 reigned [H8799]   H3478 over Israel H8111 in Samaria H6242 twenty H8147 and two H8141 years.
  30 H256 And Ahab H1121 the son H6018 of Omri H6213 did [H8799]   H7451 evil H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD H6440 above all that were before him.
  31 H7043 And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing [H8738]   H3212 for him to walk [H8800]   H2403 in the sins H3379 of Jeroboam H1121 the son H5028 of Nebat H3947 , that he took [H8799]   H802 to wife H348 Jezebel H1323 the daughter H856 of Ethbaal H4428 king H6722 of the Zidonians H3212 , and went [H8799]   H5647 and served [H8799]   H1168 Baal H7812 , and worshipped [H8691]   him.
  32 H6965 And he reared up [H8686]   H4196 an altar H1168 for Baal H1004 in the house H1168 of Baal H1129 , which he had built [H8804]   H8111 in Samaria.
  33 H256 And Ahab H6213 made [H8799]   H842 a grove H256 ; and Ahab H6213 did [H8800]   H3254 more [H8686]   H3068 to provoke the LORD H430 God H3478 of Israel H3707 to anger [H8687]   H4428 than all the kings H3478 of Israel H6440 that were before him.
  34 H3117 In his days H2419 did Hiel H1017 the Bethelite H1129 build [H8804]   H3405 Jericho H3245 : he laid the foundation [H8765]   H48 thereof in Abiram H1060 his firstborn H5324 , and set up [H8689]   H1817 the gates H6810 thereof in his youngest H7687 son Segub H1697 , according to the word H3068 of the LORD H1696 , which he spake [H8765]   H3027 by H3091 Joshua H1121 the son H5126 of Nun.
