1 Samuel 12 And Samuel said to all Israel, Behold, I have listened to your voice in all that you said to me, and have made a king over you.

1 H8050 And Samuel H559 said H3605 to all H3478 Israel, H2009 Behold, H8085 I have listened H6963 to your voice H3605 in all H559 that you said H4428 to me, and have made a king H5921 over you.

2 H6258 And now, H2009 behold, H4428 the king H1980 walks H6440 before H2204 you: and I am old H7867 and gray headed; H2009 and, behold, H1121 my sons H1980 are with you: and I have walked H6440 before H5271 you from my childhood H2088 to this H3117 day.

3 H2009 Behold, H6030 here I am: witness H5048 against me before H3068 the LORD, H5048 and before H4899 his anointed: H4310 whose H7794 ox H3947 have I taken? H4310 or whose H2543 ass H3947 have I taken? H4310 or whom H6231 have I defrauded? H7533 whom have I oppressed? H4310 or of whose H3027 hand H3947 have I received H3724 any bribe H5956 to blind H5869 my eyes H7725 therewith? and I will restore it you.

4 H559 And they said, H6231 You have not defrauded H3808 us, nor H7533 oppressed H3808 us, neither H3947 have you taken H3972 ought H376 of any man’s H3027 hand.

5 H559 And he said H3068 to them, The LORD H5707 is witness H4899 against you, and his anointed H5707 is witness H2088 this H3117 day, H4672 that you have not found H3972 ought H3027 in my hand. H559 And they answered, H5707 He is witness.

6 H8050 And Samuel H559 said H5971 to the people, H3068 It is the LORD H6213 that advanced H4872 Moses H175 and Aaron, H5927 and that brought H1 your fathers H776 up out of the land H4714 of Egypt.

7 H6258 Now H3320 therefore stand H8199 still, that I may reason H6440 with you before H3068 the LORD H3605 of all H6666 the righteous H3068 acts of the LORD, H834 which H6213 he did H1 to you and to your fathers.

8 H834 When H3290 Jacob H935 was come H4714 into Egypt, H1 and your fathers H2199 cried H3068 to the LORD, H3068 then the LORD H7971 sent H4872 Moses H175 and Aaron, H3318 which brought H3318 forth H1 your fathers H4714 out of Egypt, H3427 and made them dwell H2088 in this H4725 place.

9 H7911 And when they forgot H3068 the LORD H430 their God, H4376 he sold H3027 them into the hand H5516 of Sisera, H8269 captain H6635 of the host H2674 of Hazor, H3027 and into the hand H6430 of the Philistines, H3027 and into the hand H4428 of the king H4124 of Moab, H3898 and they fought against them.

10 H2199 And they cried H3068 to the LORD, H559 and said, H2398 We have sinned, H3588 because H5800 we have forsaken H3068 the LORD, H5647 and have served H1168 Baalim H6252 and Ashtaroth: H6258 but now H5337 deliver H3027 us out of the hand H341 of our enemies, H5647 and we will serve you.

11 H3068 And the LORD H7971 sent H3378 Jerubbaal, H917 and Bedan, H3316 and Jephthah, H8050 and Samuel, H5337 and delivered H3027 you out of the hand H341 of your enemies H5437 on every H5439 side, H3427 and you dwelled H983 safe.

12 H7200 And when you saw H5176 that Nahash H4428 the king H1121 of the children H5983 of Ammon H935 came H5921 against H559 you, you said H3808 to me, No; H4428 but a king H4427 shall reign H5921 over H3068 us: when the LORD H430 your God H4428 was your king.

13 H6258 Now H2009 therefore behold H4428 the king H4310 whom H977 you have chosen, H4310 and whom H7592 you have desired! H2009 and, behold, H3068 the LORD H5414 has set H4428 a king H5921 over you.

14 H518 If H3372 you will fear H3068 the LORD, H5647 and serve H8085 him, and obey H6963 his voice, H4784 and not rebel H6310 against the commandment H3068 of the LORD, H1571 then shall both H1571 you and also H4428 the king H4427 that reigns H5921 over H1961 you continue H310 following H3068 the LORD H430 your God:

15 H518 But if H8085 you will not obey H6963 the voice H3068 of the LORD, H4784 but rebel H6310 against the commandment H3068 of the LORD, H3027 then shall the hand H3068 of the LORD H1 be against you, as it was against your fathers.

16 H6258 Now H1571 therefore H3320 stand H7200 and see H2088 this H1419 great H1697 thing, H834 which H3068 the LORD H6213 will do H5869 before your eyes.

17 H2406 Is it not wheat H7105 harvest H3117 to day? H7121 I will call H3068 to the LORD, H5414 and he shall send H6963 thunder H4306 and rain; H3045 that you may perceive H7200 and see H7451 that your wickedness H7227 is great, H834 which H6213 you have done H5869 in the sight H3068 of the LORD, H7592 in asking H4428 you a king.

18 H8050 So Samuel H7121 called H3068 to the LORD; H3068 and the LORD H5414 sent H6963 thunder H4306 and rain H3117 that day: H3605 and all H5971 the people H3966 greatly H3372 feared H3068 the LORD H8050 and Samuel.

19 H3605 And all H5971 the people H559 said H8050 to Samuel, H6419 Pray H5650 for your servants H3068 to the LORD H430 your God, H4191 that we die H3254 not: for we have added H3605 to all H2403 our sins H7451 this evil, H7592 to ask H4428 us a king.

20 H8050 And Samuel H559 said H5971 to the people, H3372 Fear H6213 not: you have done H3605 all H2063 this H7451 wickedness: H389 yet H5493 turn H310 not aside from following H3068 the LORD, H5647 but serve H3068 the LORD H3605 with all H3824 your heart;

21 H5493 And turn H310 you not aside: for then should you go after H8414 vain H834 things, which H3308 cannot H3276 profit H3808 nor H5337 deliver; H8414 for they are vain.

22 H3068 For the LORD H5203 will not forsake H5971 his people H1419 for his great H8034 name’s H5668 sake: H3588 because H2974 it has pleased H3068 the LORD H6213 to make H5971 you his people.

23 H1571 Moreover H2486 as for me, God forbid H2398 that I should sin H3068 against the LORD H2308 in ceasing H6419 to pray H3384 for you: but I will teach H2896 you the good H3477 and the right H1870 way:

24 H389 Only H3372 fear H3068 the LORD, H5647 and serve H571 him in truth H3605 with all H3824 your heart: H7200 for consider H834 how H1431 great things he has done for you.

25 H518 But if H7489 you shall still do wickedly, H5595 you shall be consumed, H1571 both H4428 you and your king.
