Genesis 17 And when Abram was ninety and nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said to him, I am the Almighty God; walk before the face of me, and be thou perfect.

1 H87 And when Abram H8673 H8141 was ninety H8672 and nine H8141 years H1121 old, H3068 the LORD H7200 [H8735] appeared H87 to Abram, H559 [H8799] and said H7706 to him, I am the Almighty H410 God; H1980 [H8690] walk H6440 before the face of me, H8549 and be thou perfect.

2 H5414 [H8799] And I will make H1285 my covenant H7235 [H8686] between me and thee, and will multiply H3966 thee exceedingly.

3 H87 And Abram H5307 [H8799] fell H6440 on his face: H430 and God H1696 [H8762] talked H559 [H8800] with him, saying,

4 H589 As for me, H1285 behold, my covenant H1 is with thee, and thou shalt be a father H1995 of many H1471 nations.

5 H8034 Neither shall thy name H7121 [H8735] any more be called H87 Abram, H8034 but thy name H85 shall be Abraham; H1 for a father H1995 of many H1471 nations H5414 [H8804] have I made thee.

6 H6509 0 And I will make H3966 thee exceedingly H6509 [H8689] fruitful, H5414 [H8804] and I will make H1471 nations H4428 of thee, and kings H3318 [H8799] shall come forth from thee.

7 H6965 [H8689] And I will raise H1285 my covenant H2233 between me and thee and thy seed H310 after thee H1755 in their generations H5769 for an everlasting H1285 covenant, H430 to be a God H2233 to thee, and to thy seed H310 after thee.

8 H5414 [H8804] And I will give H2233 to thee, and to thy seed H310 after thee, H776 the land H4033 of they sojournings, H776 all the land H3667 of Canaan, H5769 for an everlasting H272 possession; H430 and I will be their God.

9 H430 And God H559 [H8799] said H85 to Abraham, H8104 [H8799] Thou shalt keep H1285 my covenant H2233 therefore, thou, and thy seed H310 after thee H1755 in their generations.

10 H1285 This is my covenant, H8104 [H8799] which ye shall keep, H2233 between me and you and thy seed H310 after thee; H2145 Every male H4135 [H8736] among you shall be circumcised.

11 H5243 [H8804] And ye shall circumcise H1320 the flesh H6190 of your foreskin; H226 and it shall be a sign H1285 of the covenant between me and you.

12 H8083 And he that is eight H3117 days H1121 old H4135 [H8735] shall be circumcised H2145 among you, every male H1755 in your generations, H3211 he that is born H1004 in the house, H4736 or bought H3701 with money H1121 from any son H5236 of a foreigner, H2233 who is not of thy seed.

13 H3211 He that is born H1004 in thy house, H4736 and he that is bought H3701 with thy money, H4135 [H8736] must needs H4135 [H8735] be circumcised: H1285 and my covenant H1320 shall be in your flesh H5769 for an everlasting H1285 covenant.

14 H6189 And the uncircumcised H2145 male H834 whose H1320 flesh H6190 of his foreskin H4135 [H8735] is not circumcised, H5315 that breath H3772 [H8738] shall be cut off H5971 from his people; H6565 [H8689] he hath broken H1285 my covenant.

15 H430 And God H559 [H8799] said H85 to Abraham, H8297 As for Sarai H802 thy wife, H7121 [H8799] thou shalt not call H8034 her name H8297 Sarai, H3588 but H8283 Sarah H8034 shall her name be.

16 H1288 [H8765] And I will bless H5414 [H8804] her, and give H1121 thee a son H1288 [H8765] also by her: yea, I will bless H1471 her, and she shall be a mother of nations; H4428 kings H5971 of people shall come from her.

17 H85 Then Abraham H5307 [H8799] fell H6440 upon his face, H6711 [H8799] and laughed, H559 [H8799] and said H3820 in his heart, H3205 [H8735] Shall a child be born H3967 to him that is an hundred H8141 years H1121 old? H8283 and shall Sarah, H8673 who is ninety H8141 years H1323 old, H3205 [H8799] bear?

18 H85 And Abraham H559 [H8799] said H430 to God, H3863 O that H3458 Ishmael H2421 [H8799] might live H6440 before thee!

19 H430 And God H559 [H8799] said, H8283 Sarah H802 thy wife H3205 [H8802] shall bear H1121 thee a son H61 indeed; H7121 [H8804] and thou shalt call H8034 his name H3327 Isaac: H6965 [H8689] and I will raise H1285 my covenant H5769 with him for an everlasting H1285 covenant, H2233 and with his seed H310 after him.

20 H3458 And as for Ishmael, H8085 [H8804] I have heard thee: H1288 [H8765] Behold, I have blessed H6509 [H8689] him, and will make him fruitful, H7235 [H8689] and will multiply H3966 him exceedingly; H6240 H8147 twelve H5387 princes H3205 [H8686] shall he beget, H5414 [H8804] and I will make him H1419 a great H1471 nation.

21 H1285 But my covenant H6965 [H8686] will I raise H3327 with Isaac, H8283 whom Sarah H3205 [H8799] shall bear H4150 to thee at this set time H312 in the next H8141 year.

22 H3615 [H8762] And he finished H1696 [H8763] talking H430 with him, and God H5927 [H8799] went up H85 from Abraham.

23 H85 And Abraham H3947 [H8799] took H3458 Ishmael H1121 his son, H3211 and all that were born H1004 in his house, H4736 and all that were bought H3701 with his money, H2145 every male H582 among the men H85 of Abraham's H1004 house; H4135 [H8799] and circumcised H1320 the flesh H6190 of their foreskin H6106 in the same H3117 day, H430 as God H1696 [H8765] had said to him.

24 H85 And Abraham H8673 was ninety H8672 and nine H8141 years H1121 old, H4135 [H8736] when he was circumcised H1320 in the flesh H6190 of his foreskin.

25 H3458 And Ishmael H1121 his son H6240 H7969 was thirteen H8141 years H1121 old, H4135 [H8736] when he was circumcised H1320 in the flesh H6190 of his foreskin.

26 H6106 In the same H3117 day H85 was Abraham H4135 [H8738] circumcised, H3458 and Ishmael H1121 his son.

27 H582 And all the men H1004 of his house, H3211 born H1004 in the house, H4736 and bought H3701 with money H1121 from the son H5236 of a foreigner, H4135 [H8738] were circumcised with him.
