Genesis 17 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine , the LORD appeared to Abram , and said unto him, I am the Almighty God ; walk before me , and be thou perfect.

2 H5414 And I will make [H8799] H1285 my covenant H7235 between me and thee, and will multiply [H8686] H3966 thee exceedingly H3966 .

3 H87 And Abram H5307 fell [H8799] H6440 on his face H430 : and God H1696 talked [H8762] H559 with him, saying [H8800] ,

4 H589 As for me H1285 , behold, my covenant H1 is with thee, and thou shalt be a father H1995 of many H1471 nations.

5 H8034 Neither shall thy name H7121 any more be called [H8735] H87 Abram H8034 , but thy name H85 shall be Abraham H1 ; for a father H1995 of many H1471 nations H5414 have I made thee [H8804] .

6 H6509 And I will make H3966 thee exceeding H3966 H6509 fruitful [H8689] H5414 , and I will make [H8804] H1471 nations H4428 of thee, and kings H3318 shall come out [H8799] of thee.

7 H6965 And I will establish [H8689] H1285 my covenant H2233 between me and thee and thy seed H310 after thee H1755 in their generations H5769 for an everlasting H1285 covenant H430 , to be a God H2233 unto thee, and to thy seed H310 after thee.

8 H5414 And I will give [H8804] H2233 unto thee, and to thy seed H310 after thee H776 , the land H4033 wherein thou art a stranger H776 , all the land H3667 of Canaan H5769 , for an everlasting H272 possession H430 ; and I will be their God.

9 H430 And God H559 said [H8799] H85 unto Abraham H8104 , Thou shalt keep [H8799] H1285 my covenant H2233 therefore, thou, and thy seed H310 after thee H1755 in their generations.

10 H1285 This is my covenant H8104 , which ye shall keep [H8799] H2233 , between me and you and thy seed H310 after thee H2145 ; Every man child H4135 among you shall be circumcised [H8736] .

11 H5243 And ye shall circumcise [H8804] H1320 the flesh H6190 of your foreskin H226 ; and it shall be a token H1285 of the covenant betwixt me and you.

12 H8083 And he that is eight H3117 days H1121 old H4135 shall be circumcised [H8735] H2145 among you, every man child H1755 in your generations H3211 , he that is born H1004 in the house H4736 , or bought H3701 with money H1121 of any stranger H5236 H2233 , which is not of thy seed.

13 H3211 He that is born H1004 in thy house H4736 , and he that is bought H3701 with thy money H4135 , must needs [H8736] H4135 be circumcised [H8735] H1285 : and my covenant H1320 shall be in your flesh H5769 for an everlasting H1285 covenant.

14 H6189 And the uncircumcised H2145 man child H834 whose H1320 flesh H6190 of his foreskin H4135 is not circumcised [H8735] H5315 , that soul H3772 shall be cut off [H8738] H5971 from his people H6565 ; he hath broken [H8689] H1285 my covenant.

15 H430 And God H559 said [H8799] H85 unto Abraham H8297 , As for Sarai H802 thy wife H7121 , thou shalt not call [H8799] H8034 her name H8297 Sarai H3588 , but H8283 Sarah H8034 shall her name be .

16 H1288 And I will bless [H8765] H5414 her, and give [H8804] H1121 thee a son H1288 also of her: yea, I will bless [H8765] H1471 her, and she shall be a mother of nations H4428 ; kings H5971 of people shall be of her.

17 H85 Then Abraham H5307 fell [H8799] H6440 upon his face H6711 , and laughed [H8799] H559 , and said [H8799] H3820 in his heart H3205 , Shall a child be born [H8735] H3967 unto him that is an hundred H8141 years H1121 old H8283 ? and shall Sarah H8673 , that is ninety H8141 years H1323 old H3205 , bear [H8799] ?

18 H85 And Abraham H559 said [H8799] H430 unto God H3863 , O that H3458 Ishmael H2421 might live [H8799] H6440 before thee!

19 H430 And God H559 said [H8799] H8283 , Sarah H802 thy wife H3205 shall bear [H8802] H1121 thee a son H61 indeed H7121 ; and thou shalt call [H8804] H8034 his name H3327 Isaac H6965 : and I will establish [H8689] H1285 my covenant H5769 with him for an everlasting H1285 covenant H2233 , and with his seed H310 after him.

20 H3458 And as for Ishmael H8085 , I have heard thee [H8804] H1288 : Behold, I have blessed [H8765] H6509 him, and will make him fruitful [H8689] H7235 , and will multiply [H8689] H3966 him exceedingly H3966 H6240 ; twelve H8147 H5387 princes H3205 shall he beget [H8686] H5414 , and I will make him [H8804] H1419 a great H1471 nation.

21 H1285 But my covenant H6965 will I establish [H8686] H3327 with Isaac H8283 , which Sarah H3205 shall bear [H8799] H4150 unto thee at this set time H312 in the next H8141 year.

22 H3615 And he left off [H8762] H1696 talking [H8763] H430 with him, and God H5927 went up [H8799] H85 from Abraham.

23 H85 And Abraham H3947 took [H8799] H3458 Ishmael H1121 his son H3211 , and all that were born H1004 in his house H4736 , and all that were bought H3701 with his money H2145 , every male H582 among the men H85 of Abraham's H1004 house H4135 ; and circumcised [H8799] H1320 the flesh H6190 of their foreskin H6106 in the selfsame H3117 day H430 , as God H1696 had said [H8765] unto him.

24 H85 And Abraham H8673 was ninety H8141 years H1121 old H8672 and nine H4135 , when he was circumcised [H8736] H1320 in the flesh H6190 of his foreskin.

25 H3458 And Ishmael H1121 his son H6240 was thirteen H7969 H8141 years H1121 old H4135 , when he was circumcised [H8736] H1320 in the flesh H6190 of his foreskin.

26 H6106 In the selfsame H3117 day H85 was Abraham H4135 circumcised [H8738] H3458 , and Ishmael H1121 his son.

27 H582 And all the men H1004 of his house H3211 , born H1004 in the house H4736 , and bought H3701 with money H1121 of the stranger H5236 H4135 , were circumcised [H8738] with him.
