Exodus 16 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the company of the sons of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departure from the land of Egypt.

1 H5265 [H8799] And they took their journey H362 from Elim, H9001 and H3605 all H5712 the company H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel H935 [H8799] came H4057 to the wilderness H5512 of Sin, H362 which is between Elim H5514 and Sinai, H2568 H6240 on the fifteenth H3117 day H8145 of the second H2320 month H3318 [H8800] after their departure H776 from the land H4714 of Egypt.

2 H9001 And H3605 the whole H5712 company H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel H3885 [H8735] murmured H4872 against Moses H175 and Aaron H4057 in the wilderness:

3 H1121 And the sons H3478 of Israel H559 [H8799] said H4310 H5414 [H8799] to them, O that H4191 [H8800] we had died H3027 by the hand H3068 of the LORD H776 in the land H4714 of Egypt, H3427 [H8800] when we sat H1320 by the flesh H5518 pots, H398 [H8800] and when we ate H3899 bread H7648 to the full; H3318 [H8689] for ye have brought us forth H4057 into this wilderness, H4191 [H8687] to kill H3605 this whole H6951 congregation H7458 with hunger.

4 H559 [H8799] Then said H3068 the LORD H4872 to Moses, H4305 [H8688] Behold, I will rain H3899 bread H8064 from heaven H5971 for you; and the people H3318 [H8804] shall go out H3950 [H8804] and gather H1697 a certain rate H3117 every day, H5254 [H8762] that I may test H3212 [H8799] them, whether they will walk H8451 in my law, or not.

5 H8345 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth H3117 day H3559 [H8689] they shall prepare H834 that which H935 [H8686] they bring in; H4932 and it shall be twice H3950 [H8799] as much as they gather H3117 daily.

6 H4872 And Moses H175 and Aaron H559 [H8799] said H1121 to all the sons H3478 of Israel, H6153 At evening, H3045 [H8804] then ye shall know H3068 that the LORD H3318 [H8689] hath brought you out H776 from the land H4714 of Egypt:

7 H1242 And in the morning, H7200 [H8804] then ye shall see H3519 the glory H3068 of the LORD; H8085 [H8800] for that he heareth H8519 your murmurings H3068 against the LORD: H5168 and what are we, H3885 H3885 [H8686] that ye murmur against us?

8 H4872 And Moses H559 [H8799] said, H3068 This shall be, when the LORD H5414 [H8800] shall give H6153 you in the evening H1320 flesh H398 [H8800] to eat, H1242 and in the morning H3899 bread H7646 [H8800] to the full; H3068 for that the LORD H8085 [H8800] heareth H8519 your murmurings H3885 [H8688] which ye murmur H5168 against him: and what are we? H8519 your murmurings H3068 are not against us, but against the LORD.

9 H4872 And Moses H559 [H8799] spoke H175 to Aaron, H559 [H8798] Say H3605 to all H5712 the company H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel, H7126 [H8798] Come near H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD: H8085 [H8804] for he hath heard H8519 your murmurings.

10 H9001 And H1961 it came to pass, H9004 as H175 Aaron H1696 [H8763] spoke H413 to H3605 the whole H5712 company H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel, H6437 [H8799] that they looked H4057 toward the wilderness, H3519 and, behold, the glory H3068 of the LORD H7200 [H8738] appeared H6051 in the cloud.

11 H3068 And the LORD H1696 [H8762] spoke H4872 to Moses, H559 [H8800] saying,

12 H8085 [H8804] I have heard H8519 the murmurings H1121 of the sons H3478 of Israel: H1696 [H8761] speak H559 [H8800] to them, saying, H996 H6153 At evening H398 [H8799] ye shall eat H1320 flesh, H1242 and in the morning H7646 [H8799] ye shall be filled H3899 with bread; H3045 [H8804] and ye shall know H3068 that I am the LORD H430 your God.

13 H6153 And it came to pass, that at evening H7958 the quails H5927 [H8799] came up, H3680 [H8762] and covered H4264 the camp: H1242 and in the morning H2919 the dew H7902 lay H5439 around H4264 the host.

14 H2919 And when the dew H7902 that lay H5927 [H8799] was gone up, H6440 behold, upon the face H4057 of the wilderness H1851 there lay a small H2636 [H8794] round thing, H1851 as small H3713 as the hoar frost H776 on the earth.

15 H1121 And when the sons H3478 of Israel H7200 [H8799] saw H559 [H8799] it, they said H376 one H251 to another, H4478 It is manna: H3045 [H8804] for they knew H4872 not what it was. And Moses H559 [H8799] said H3899 to them, This is the bread H3068 which the LORD H5414 [H8804] hath given H402 you to eat.

16 H1697 This is the thing H834 which H3068 the LORD H6680 [H8765] hath commanded, H3950 [H8798] Gather H376 of it every man H6310 according H400 to his eating, H6016 an omer H1538 for every man, H4557 according to the number H5315 of your persons; H3947 [H8799] take H376 ye every man H168 for them who are in his tents.

17 H1121 And the sons H3478 of Israel H6213 [H8799] did H3950 [H8799] so, and gathered, H7235 [H8688] some more, H4591 [H8688] some less.

18 H4058 [H8799] And when they measured H6016 it with an omer, H7235 [H8688] he that gathered much H5736 [H8689] had nothing over, H4591 [H8688] and he that gathered little H2637 [H8689] had no lack; H3950 [H8804] they gathered H376 every man H6310 according H400 to his eating.

19 H4872 And Moses H559 [H8799] said, H376 Let no man H3498 [H8686] leave H1242 of it till the morning.

20 H8085 [H8804] However they hearkened H4872 not to Moses; H582 but some H3498 [H8686] of them left H1242 of it until the morning, H7311 [H8799] and it bred H8438 worms, H887 [H8799] and stank: H4872 and Moses H7107 [H8799] burst out in rage with them.

21 H3950 [H8799] And they gathered H1242 it every morning, H376 every man H6310 according H400 to his eating: H8121 and when the sun H2552 [H8804] became hot, H4549 [H8738] it melted.

22 H8345 And it came to pass, that on the sixth H3117 day H3950 [H8804] they gathered H4932 twice H3899 as much bread, H8147 two H6016 omers H259 for one H5387 man: and all the rulers H5712 of the company H935 [H8799] came H5046 [H8686] and told H4872 Moses.

23 H559 [H8799] And he said H3068 to them, This is that which the LORD H1696 [H8765] hath said, H4279 To morrow H7677 is the rest H6944 of the holy H7676 sabbath H3068 to the LORD: H644 [H8798] bake H644 [H8799] that which ye will bake H1310 [H8761] to day, and boil H1310 [H8762] that ye will boil; H3605 and that which H5736 [H8802] remaineth over H3240 [H8685] lay up H4931 for you to be kept H1242 until the morning.

24 H3240 [H8686] And they laid it up H1242 till the morning, H4872 as Moses H6680 [H8765] ordered: H887 [H8689] and it did not stink, H7415 neither was there any worm in it.

25 H4872 And Moses H559 [H8799] said, H398 [H8798] Eat H3117 that to day; H3117 for to day H7676 is a sabbath H3068 to the LORD: H3117 to day H4672 [H8799] ye shall not find H7704 it in the field.

26 H8337 Six H3117 days H3950 [H8799] ye shall gather H7637 it; but on the seventh H3117 day, H7676 which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.

27 H5971 And it came to pass, that some of the people H3318 [H8804] went out H7637 on the seventh H3117 day H3950 [H8800] to gather, H4672 [H8804] and they found none.

28 H3068 And the LORD H559 [H8799] said H4872 to Moses, H3985 [H8765] How long refuse H8104 [H8800] ye to keep H4687 my commandments H8451 and my laws?

29 H7200 [H8798] See, H3068 for that the LORD H5414 [H8804] hath given H7676 you the sabbath, H5414 [H8802] therefore he giveth H8345 you on the sixth H3117 day H3899 the bread H3117 of two days; H3427 [H8798] abide H376 ye every man H376 in his place, let no man H3318 [H8799] go out H4725 of his place H7637 on the seventh H3117 day.

30 H5971 So the people H7673 [H8799] rested H7637 on the seventh H3117 day.

31 H1004 And the house H3478 of Israel H7121 [H8799] called H8034 its name H4478 Manna: H1407 and it was like coriander H2233 seed, H3836 white; H2940 and the taste H6838 of it was like wafers H1706 made with honey.

32 H4872 And Moses H559 [H8799] said, H1697 This is the thing H3068 which the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded, H4393 Fill H6016 an omer H4931 of it to be kept H1755 for your generations; H7200 [H8799] that they may see H3899 the bread H398 [H8689] that I fed H4057 you in the wilderness, H3318 [H8687] when I brought you forth H776 from the land H4714 of Egypt.

33 H4872 And Moses H559 [H8799] said H175 to Aaron, H3947 [H8798] Take H259 a H6803 pot, H5414 [H8798] and put H6016 an omer H4393 full H4478 of manna H3240 [H8685] in it, and lay it up H6440 at the face of H3068 the LORD, H4931 to be kept H1755 for your generations.

34 H3068 As the LORD H6680 [H8765] commanded H4872 Moses, H175 so Aaron H3240 [H8686] laid it up H6440 at the face of H5715 the Testimony, H4931 to be kept.

35 H1121 And the sons H3478 of Israel H398 [H8804] ate H4478 manna H705 forty H8141 years, H935 [H8800] until they came H776 to a land H3427 [H8737] inhabited; H398 [H8804] they ate H4478 manna, H935 [H8800] until they came H7097 to the borders H776 of the land H3667 of Canaan.

36 H6016 Now an omer H6224 is the tenth H374 part of an ephah.
