JMNT⁽ⁱ⁾ ³² Now they had been in the road, on the way progressively walking up into Jerusalem – and Jesus had been steadily leading the way ahead of them – and they began being filled with awe and continued being amazed, yet the folks who were still following along began fearing. Jesus Predicts His Death and Resurrection a Third Time

³⁵ The Request of James and John
James and John, the sons of Zebedee, went to Jesus and told him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask you.”

³⁷ They asked him, “Let us sit in your glory, one on your right and one on your left.”
³⁸ But Jesus told them, “You don’t realize what you’re asking. Can you drink from the cup that I’m going to drink from or be baptized with the baptism with which I’m going to be baptized?”

Arabic⁽ⁱ⁾ ³² وكانوا في الطريق صاعدين الى اورشليم ويتقدمهم يسوع. وكانوا يتحيّرون وفيما هم يتبعون كانوا يخافون. فاخذ الاثني عشر ايضا وابتدأ يقول لهم عما سيحدث له. ³³ ها نحن صاعدون الى اورشليم وابن الانسان يسلم الى رؤساء الكهنة والكتبة فيحكمون عليه بالموت ويسلمونه الى الامم ³⁴ فيهزأون به ويجلدونه ويتفلون عليه ويقتلونه وفي اليوم الثالث يقوم ³⁵ وتقدم اليه يعقوب ويوحنا ابنا زبدي قائلين يا معلّم نريد ان تفعل لنا كل ما طلبنا. ³⁶ فقال لهما ماذا تريدان ان افعل لكما. ³⁷ فقالا له اعطنا ان نجلس واحد عن يمينك والآخر عن يسارك في مجدك. ³⁸ فقال لهما يسوع لستما تعلمان ما تطلبان. أتستطيعان ان تشربا الكاس التي اشربها انا وان تصطبغا بالصبغة التي اصطبغ بها انا.
