HOT⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹³ ויענו בני יעקב את שׁכם ואת חמור אביו במרמה וידברו אשׁר טמא את דינה אחתם׃ ¹⁴ ויאמרו אליהם לא נוכל לעשׂות הדבר הזה לתת את אחתנו לאישׁ אשׁר לו ערלה כי חרפה הוא׃ ¹⁵ אך בזאת נאות לכם אם תהיו כמנו להמל לכם כל זכר׃ ¹⁶ ונתנו את בנתינו לכם ואת בנתיכם נקח לנו וישׁבנו אתכם והיינו לעם אחד׃ ¹⁷ ואם לא תשׁמעו אלינו להמול ולקחנו את בתנו והלכנו׃

16 H5414 ונתנו Then will we give H853 את H1323 בנתינו our daughters H853 לכם ואת H1323 בנתיכם your daughters H3947 נקח unto you, and we will take H3427 לנו וישׁבנו to us, and we will dwell H854 אתכם with H1961 והיינו you, and we will become H5971 לעם people. H259 אחד׃ one

17 H518 ואם But if H3808 לא ye will not H8085 תשׁמעו hearken H413 אלינו unto H4135 להמול us, to be circumcised; H3947 ולקחנו then will we take H853 את H1323 בתנו our daughter, H1980 והלכנו׃ and we will be gone.
