Şi copiii lui Israel s'au spăimîntat foarte tare, şi au strigat către Domnul după ajutor. ¹¹ Ei au zis lui Moise:,,Nu erau oare morminte în Egipt, ca să nu mai fi fost nevoie să ne aduci să murim în pustie? Ce ne-ai făcut de ne-ai scos din Egipt? ¹² Nu-ţi spuneam noi în Egipt:,Lasă-ne să slujim ca robi Egiptenilor, căci vrem mai bine să slujim ca robi Egiptenilor decît să murim în pustie?``

Ukrainian⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁸ І Господь учинив запеклим серце фараона, єгипетського царя, і він погнався за Ізраїлевими синами. Але Ізраїлеві сини виходили сильною рукою! ⁹ І гналися єгиптяни за ними, уся кіннота, колесниці фараонові, і комонники його та військо його, і догнали їх, як вони отаборилися були над морем, під Пі-Гахіротом, перед Баал-Цефоном. ¹⁰ А фараон наближався. І звели Ізраїлеві сини свої очі, аж ось єгиптяни женуться за ними! І дуже злякались вони... І кликали Ізраїлеві сини до Господа, ¹¹ а Мойсеєві дорікали: Чи через те, що не було гробів в Єгипті, ти забрав нас умирати в пустині? Що це вчинив ти нам, щоб вивести нас із Єгипту? ¹² Чи це не те саме ми говорили до тебе в Єгипті, кажучи: Позостав нас, і нехай ми робимо Єгиптові! Бо ліпше нам рабство Єгиптові, аніж помирати нам у пустині!
