Leviticus 22 And the LORD spake unto Moses , saying ,

1 H3068 And the LORD H1696 spake [H8762] H4872 unto Moses H559 , saying [H8800] ,

2 H1696 Speak [H8761] H175 unto Aaron H1121 and to his sons H5144 , that they separate [H8735] H6944 themselves from the holy things H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H2490 , and that they profane [H8762] H6944 not my holy H8034 name H6942 in those things which they hallow [H8688] H3068 unto me: I am the LORD.

3 H559 Say [H8798] H376 unto them, Whosoever H2233 he be of all your seed H1755 among your generations H7126 , that goeth [H8799] H6944 unto the holy things H1121 , which the children H3478 of Israel H6942 hallow [H8686] H3068 unto the LORD H2932 , having his uncleanness H5315 upon him, that soul H3772 shall be cut off [H8738] H6440 from my presence H3068 : I am the LORD.

4 H376 What man soever H2233 of the seed H175 of Aaron H6879 is a leper [H8803] H2100 , or hath a running issue [H8802] H398 ; he shall not eat [H8799] H6944 of the holy things H2891 , until he be clean [H8799] H5060 . And whoso toucheth [H8802] H2931 any thing that is unclean H5315 by the dead H376 , or a man H2233 whose seed H7902 H3318 goeth [H8799] from him;

5 H376 Or whosoever H5060 toucheth [H8799] H8318 any creeping thing H2930 , whereby he may be made unclean [H8799] H120 , or a man H2930 of whom he may take uncleanness [H8799] H2932 , whatsoever uncleanness he hath;

6 H5315 The soul H5060 which hath touched [H8799] H2930 any such shall be unclean [H8804] H6153 until even H398 , and shall not eat [H8799] H6944 of the holy things H518 , unless H7364 he wash [H8804] H1320 his flesh H4325 with water.

7 H8121 And when the sun H935 is down [H8804] H2891 , he shall be clean [H8804] H310 , and shall afterward H398 eat [H8799] H6944 of the holy things H3899 ; because it is his food.

8 H5038 That which dieth of itself H2966 , or is torn H398 with beasts, he shall not eat [H8799] H2930 to defile [H8800] H3068 himself therewith: I am the LORD.

9 H8104 They shall therefore keep [H8804] H4931 mine ordinance H5375 , lest they bear [H8799] H2399 sin H4191 for it, and die [H8804] H2490 therefore, if they profane [H8762] H3068 it: I the LORD H6942 do sanctify [H8764] them.

10 H2114 There shall no stranger [H8801] H398 eat [H8799] H6944 of the holy thing H8453 : a sojourner H3548 of the priest H7916 , or an hired servant H398 , shall not eat [H8799] H6944 of the holy thing.

11 H3548 But if the priest H7069 buy [H8799] H5315 any soul H7075 with H3701 his money H398 , he shall eat [H8799] H3211 of it, and he that is born H1004 in his house H398 : they shall eat [H8799] H3899 of his meat.

12 H3548 If the priest's H1323 daughter H376 also be married unto a stranger H2114 [H8801] H398 , she may not eat [H8799] H8641 of an offering H6944 of the holy things.

13 H3548 But if the priest's H1323 daughter H490 be a widow H1644 , or divorced [H8803] H2233 , and have no child H7725 , and is returned [H8804] H1 unto her father's H1004 house H5271 , as in her youth H398 , she shall eat [H8799] H1 of her father's H3899 meat H2114 : but there shall no stranger [H8801] H398 eat [H8799] thereof.

14 H376 And if a man H398 eat [H8799] H6944 of the holy thing H7684 unwittingly H3254 , then he shall put [H8804] H2549 the fifth H5414 part thereof unto it, and shall give [H8804] H3548 it unto the priest H6944 with the holy thing.

15 H2490 And they shall not profane [H8762] H6944 the holy things H1121 of the children H3478 of Israel H7311 , which they offer [H8686] H3068 unto the LORD;

16 H5375 Or suffer them to bear [H8689] H5771 the iniquity H819 of trespass H398 , when they eat [H8800] H6944 their holy things H3068 : for I the LORD H6942 do sanctify [H8764] them.

17 H3068 And the LORD H1696 spake [H8762] H4872 unto Moses H559 , saying [H8800] ,

18 H1696 Speak [H8761] H175 unto Aaron H1121 , and to his sons H1121 , and unto all the children H3478 of Israel H559 , and say [H8804] H376 unto them, Whatsoever H1004 he be of the house H3478 of Israel H1616 , or of the strangers H3478 in Israel H7126 , that will offer [H8686] H7133 his oblation H5088 for all his vows H5071 , and for all his freewill offerings H7126 , which they will offer [H8686] H3068 unto the LORD H5930 for a burnt offering;

19 H7522 Ye shall offer at your own will H2145 a male H8549 without blemish H1241 , of the beeves H3775 , of the sheep H5795 , or of the goats.

20 H3971 But whatsoever hath a blemish H7126 , that shall ye not offer [H8686] H7522 : for it shall not be acceptable for you.

21 H376 And whosoever H7126 offereth [H8686] H2077 a sacrifice H8002 of peace offerings H3068 unto the LORD H6381 to accomplish [H8763] H5088 his vow H5071 , or a freewill offering H1241 in beeves H6629 or sheep H8549 , it shall be perfect H7522 to be accepted H3971 ; there shall be no blemish therein.

22 H5788 Blind H7665 , or broken [H8803] H2782 , or maimed [H8803] H2990 , or having a wen H1618 , or scurvy H3217 , or scabbed H7126 , ye shall not offer [H8686] H3068 these unto the LORD H5414 , nor make [H8799] H801 an offering by fire H4196 of them upon the altar H3068 unto the LORD.

23 H7794 Either a bullock H7716 or a lamb H8311 that hath any thing superfluous [H8803] H7038 or lacking in his parts [H8803] H6213 , that mayest thou offer [H8799] H5071 for a freewill offering H5088 ; but for a vow H7521 it shall not be accepted [H8735] .

24 H7126 Ye shall not offer [H8686] H3068 unto the LORD H4600 that which is bruised [H8803] H3807 , or crushed [H8803] H5423 , or broken [H8803] H3772 , or cut [H8803] H6213 ; neither shall ye make [H8799] H776 any offering thereof in your land.

25 H5236 Neither from a stranger's H3027 hand H1121 H7126 shall ye offer [H8686] H3899 the bread H430 of your God H4893 of any of these; because their corruption H3971 is in them, and blemishes H7521 be in them: they shall not be accepted [H8735] for you.

26 H3068 And the LORD H1696 spake [H8762] H4872 unto Moses H559 , saying [H8800] ,

27 H7794 When a bullock H3775 , or a sheep H5795 , or a goat H3205 , is brought forth [H8735] H7651 , then it shall be seven H3117 days H517 under the dam H8066 ; and from the eighth H3117 day H1973 and thenceforth H7521 it shall be accepted [H8735] H7133 for an offering H801 made by fire H3068 unto the LORD.

28 H7794 And whether it be cow H7716 or ewe H7819 , ye shall not kill [H8799] H1121 it and her young H259 both in one H3117 day.

29 H2076 And when ye will offer [H8799] H2077 a sacrifice H8426 of thanksgiving H3068 unto the LORD H2076 , offer [H8799] H7522 it at your own will.

30 H3117 On the same day H398 it shall be eaten up [H8735] H3498 ; ye shall leave [H8686] H1242 none of it until the morrow H3068 : I am the LORD.

31 H8104 Therefore shall ye keep [H8804] H4687 my commandments H6213 , and do [H8804] H3068 them: I am the LORD.

32 H2490 Neither shall ye profane [H8762] H6944 my holy H8034 name H6942 ; but I will be hallowed [H8738] H8432 among H1121 the children H3478 of Israel H3068 : I am the LORD H6942 which hallow [H8762] you,

33 H3318 That brought you out [H8688] H776 of the land H4714 of Egypt H430 , to be your God H3068 : I am the LORD.

ERV⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, ² Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, which they hallow unto me, and that they profane not my holy name: I am the LORD. ³ Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed throughout your generations, that approacheth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from before me: I am the LORD. ⁴ What man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath an issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him; ⁵ or whosoever toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath; ⁶ the soul which toucheth any such shall be unclean until the even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he bathe his flesh in water. ⁷ And when the sun is down, he shall be clean; and afterward he shall eat of the holy things, because it is his bread. ⁸ That which dieth of itself, or is torn of beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am the LORD. ⁹ They shall therefore keep my charge, lest they bear sin for it, and die therein, if they profane it: I am the LORD which sanctify them. ¹⁰ There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest’s, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing. ¹¹ But if a priest buy any soul, the purchase of his money, he shall eat of it; and such as are born in his house, they shall eat of his bread. ¹² And if a priest’s daughter be married unto a stranger, she shall not eat of the heave offering of the holy things. ¹³ But if a priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s bread: but there shall no stranger eat thereof. ¹⁴ And if a man eat of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give unto the priest the holy thing. ¹⁵ And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto the LORD; ¹⁶ and [so] cause them to bear the iniquity that bringeth guilt, when they eat their holy things: for I am the LORD which sanctify them. ¹⁷ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, ¹⁸ Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whosoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that offereth his oblation, whether it be any of their vows, or any of their freewill offerings, which they offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering; ¹⁹ that ye may be accepted, [ye shall offer] a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats. ²⁰ But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you. ²¹ And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish a vow, or for a freewill offering, of the herd or of the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein. ²² Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD. ²³ Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted. ²⁴ That which hath its stones bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut, ye shall not offer unto the LORD; neither shall ye do [thus] in your land. ²⁵ Neither from the hand of a foreigner shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, there is a blemish in them: they shall not be accepted for you. ²⁶ And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, ²⁷ When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for the oblation of an offering made by fire unto the LORD. ²⁸ And whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day. ²⁹ And when ye sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, ye shall sacrifice it that ye may be accepted. ³⁰ On the same day it shall be eaten; ye shall leave none of it until the morning: I am the LORD. ³¹ Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD. ³² And ye shall not profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you, ³³ that brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD.
