  2 G2532 And G2112 immediately G4183 many G4863 [G5681] were gathered together, G5620 so that G5562 0 there was G3371 no G5562 [G5721] room to receive G3366 them, no, not so much G4314 as about G2374 the door: G2532 and G2980 [G5707] he spoke G3056 the word G846 to them.
  3 G2532 And G2064 [G5736] they come G4314 to G846 him, G5342 [G5723] bringing G3885 one sick with the palsy, G142 [G5746] who was borne G5259 by G5064 four.
  4 G2532 And G1410 [G5740] when they could G3361 not G4331 [G5658] come near G846 to him G1223 by reason of G3793 the crowd, G648 [G5656] they uncovered G4721 the roof G3699 where G2258 [G5713] he was: G2532 and G1846 [G5660] when they had broken it up, G5465 [G5719] they let down G2895 the bed G1909 on G3739 which G3885 the sick with the palsy G2621 [G5711] lay.
  5 G1161 When G2424 Jesus G1492 [G5631] saw G846 their G4102 faith, G3004 [G5719] he said G3885 to the sick with the palsy, G5043 { Child, G4675 thy G266 sins G863 [G5769] are forgiven G4671 thee.}
  6 G1161 But G2258 [G5713] there were G5100 certain G1122 of the scribes G2521 [G5740] sitting G1563 there, G2532 and G1260 [G5740] reasoning G1722 in G846 their G2588 hearts,
  7 G5101 Why G2980 0 doth G3778 this G3779 man thus G2980 [G5719] speak G988 blasphemies? G5101 who G1410 [G5736] can G863 [G5721] forgive G266 sins G1508 but G2316 God G1520 only?
  8 G2532 And G2112 immediately G2424 when Jesus G1921 [G5631] perceived G846 in his G4151 spirit G3754 that G3779 they so G1260 [G5736] reasoned G1722 within G1438 themselves, G2036 [G5627] he said G846 to them, G5101 { Why G1260 [G5736] reason ye G5023 these things G1722 in G5216 your G2588 hearts?}
  9 G5101 { Which G2076 [G5748] is G2123 easier G2036 [G5629] to say G3885 to the sick with the palsy, G266 Thy sins G863 [G5769] are forgiven G4671 thee; G2228 or G2036 [G5629] to say, G1453 [G5669] Arise, G2532 and G142 [G5657] take up G4675 thy G2895 bed, G2532 and G4043 [G5720] walk?}
  10 G1161 { But G2443 that G1492 [G5762] ye may know G3754 that G5207 the Son G444 of man G2192 [G5719] hath G1849 authority G1909 on G1093 earth G863 [G5721] to forgive G266 sins, G3004 [G5719] } (he saith G3885 to the sick with the palsy,)
  11 G3004 [G5719] { I say G4671 to thee, G1453 [G5669] Arise, G2532 and G142 [G5657] take up G4675 thy G2895 bed, G2532 and G5217 [G5720] go G1519 into G4675 thy G3624 house.}
  12 G2532 And G2112 immediately G1453 [G5681] he arose, G142 [G5660] took up G2895 the bed, G2532 and G1831 [G5627] went forth G1726 before G3956 them all; G5620 so that G1839 0 they were G3956 all G1839 [G5733] amazed, G2532 and G1392 [G5721] glorified G2316 God, G3004 [G5723] saying, G3754   G1492 0 We G3763 never G1492 [G5627] saw G3779 it on this fashion.

  14 G2532 And G3855 [G5723] as he passed by, G1492 [G5627] he saw G3018 Levi G256 the son of Alphaeus G2521 [G5740] sitting G1909 at G5058 the tax office, G2532 and G3004 [G5719] said G846 to him, G190 [G5720] { Follow G3427 me. G2532 } And G450 [G5631] he arose G190 [G5656] and followed G846 him.
  15 G2532 And G1096 [G5633] it came to pass, G1722 that, G846 as Jesus G2621 [G5738] was eating G1722 in G846 his G3614 house, G4183 many G5057 tax collectors G2532 and G268 sinners G4873 0 sat G2532 also G4873 [G5711] together with G2424 Jesus G2532 and G846 his G3101 disciples: G1063 for G2258 [G5713] there were G4183 many, G2532 and G190 [G5656] they followed G846 him.
  16 G2532 And G1122 when the scribes G2532 and G5330 Pharisees G1492 [G5631] saw G846 him G2068 [G5723] eating G3326 with G5057 tax collectors G2532 and G268 sinners, G3004 [G5707] they said G846 to his G3101 disciples, G5101 How G3754 is it that G2068 [G5719] he eateth G2532 and G4095 [G5719] drinketh G3326 with G5057 tax collectors G2532 and G268 sinners?
  17 G2532 When G2424 Jesus G191 [G5660] heard G3004 [G5719] it, he saith G846 to them, G2480 [G5723] { They that are well G2192 [G5719] have G3756 no G5532 need G2395 of a physician, G235 but G2192 [G5723] they that are G2560 badly ill: G2064 [G5627] I came G3756 not G2564 [G5658] to call G1342 the righteous, G235 but G268 sinners G1519 to G3341 a change of mind.}
  18 G2532 And G3101 the disciples G2491 of John G2532 and G5330 of the Pharisees G2258 [G5713] used G3522 [G5723] to fast: G2532 and G2064 [G5736] they come G2532 and G3004 [G5719] say G846 to him, G1302 G3522 0 Why do G3101 the disciples G2491 of John G2532 and G5330 of the Pharisees G3522 [G5719] fast, G1161 but G4674 thy G3101 disciples G3522 [G5719] fast G3756 not?
  19 G2532 And G2424 Jesus G2036 [G5627] said G846 to them, G3361   G1410 [G5736] { Can G5207 the sons G3567 of the bridechamber G3522 [G5721] fast, G1722 G3739 while G3566 the bridegroom G2076 [G5748] is G3326 with G846 them? G3745 as long G5550 a time G2192 [G5719] as they have G3566 the bridegroom G3326 with G1438 them, G3756 G1410 [G5736] they cannot G3522 [G5721] fast.}
  20 G1161 { But G2250 the days G2064 [G5695] will come, G3752 when G3566 the bridegroom G522 [G5686] shall be taken G575 from G846 them, G2532 and G5119 then G3522 [G5692] they shall fast G1722 in G1565 those G2250 days.}
  21 G3762 { No man G2532 also G1976 [G5719] seweth G1915 a piece G46 of uncarded G4470 cloth G1909 on G3820 an old G2440 garment: G1490 else G2537 the new piece G4138 that filled it up G142 [G5719] taketh away G846 from G3820 the old, G2532 and G4978 the tear G1096 [G5736] is made G5501 worse.}
  22 G2532 { And G3762 no man G906 [G5719] putteth G3501 new G3631 wine G1519 into G3820 old G779 bottles: G1490 else G3501 the new G3631 wine G4486 [G5719] doth burst G779 the bottles, G2532 and G3631 the wine G1632 [G5743] is spilled, G2532 and G779 the bottles G622 [G5698] will be lost: G235 but G3501 new G3631 wine G992 must be put G1519 into G2537 new G779 bottles.}
  23 G2532 And G1096 [G5633] it came to pass, G846 that he G3899 [G5738] went G1223 through G4702 the sown fields G1722 on G4521 the sabbath; G2532 and G846 his G3101 disciples G756 [G5662] began, G3598 G4160 [G5721] as they went, G5089 [G5723] to pluck G4719 the ears of corn.
  24 G2532 And G5330 the Pharisees G3004 [G5707] said G846 to him, G2396 Behold, G5101 why G4160 [G5719] do they G1722 on G4521 the sabbath G3739 that which G1832 0 is G3756 not G1832 [G5748] allowed?
  25 G2532 And G846 he G3004 [G5707] said G846 to them, G3763 { Have ye never G314 [G5627] read G5101 what G1138 David G4160 [G5656] did, G3753 when G2192 [G5627] he had G5532 need, G2532 and G3983 [G5656] was hungry, G846 he, G2532 and G3326 they that were with G846 him?}
  26 G4459 { How G1525 [G5627] he went G1519 into G3624 the house G2316 of God G1909 in the days G8 of Abiathar G749 the high priest, G2532 and G5315 [G5627] ate G740 G4286 the showbread, G3739 which G1832 0 it is G3756 not G1832 [G5748] allowed G5315 [G5629] to eat G1508 but for G2409 the priests, G2532 and G1325 [G5656] gave G2532 also G5607 [G5752] to them who were G4862 with G846 him?}
  27 G2532 And G3004 [G5707] he said G846 to them, G4521 { The sabbath G1096 [G5633] was made G1223 for G444 man, G3756 and not G444 man G1223 for G4521 the sabbath:}
  28 G5620 { Therefore G5207 the Son G444 of man G2076 [G5748] is G2962 Lord G2532 also G4521 of the sabbath.}
