John 5:17-43

  5:17   3588 ο   1161 δε But * Ιησούς Jesus 611 απεκρίνατο answered 1473 αυτοίς to them, 3588 ο   3962-1473 πατήρ μου My father 2193 έως [²until 737 άρτι ³now 2038 εργάζεται ¹works], 2504 καγώ and I 2038 εργάζομαι work.   5:18   1223 διά On account of 3778 τούτο this 3767 ούν then 3123 μάλλον more 2212 εζήτουν [³sought 1473 αυτόν ⁵him 3588 οι ¹the * Ιουδαίοι ²Jews 615 αποκτείναι ⁴to kill], 3754 ότι for 3756 ου not 3440 μόνον only 3089 έλυε he untied 3588 το the 4521 σάββατον Sabbath, 235 αλλά but 2532 και also 3962 πατέρα [⁴father 2398 ίδιον ³his own 3004 έλεγεν ¹called 3588 τον   2316 θεόν ²God], 2470 ίσον [³equal 1438 εαυτόν ²himself 4160 ποιών ¹making] 3588 τω to 2316 θεώ God.   5:19   611-3767 απεκρίνατο ουν Then answered 3588 ο   * Ιησούς Jesus, 2532 και and 2036 είπεν he said 1473 αυτοίς to them, 281 αμήν Amen, 281 αμήν amen, 3004 λέγω I say 1473 υμίν to you, 3756-1410 ου δύναται [³is not able 3588 ο ¹The 5207 υιός ²son] 4160 ποιείν to do 575 αφ΄ of 1438 εαυτού himself 3762 ουδέν anything, 1437-3361 εάν μη unless 5100 τι what 991 βλέπη he should see 3588 τον the 3962 πατέρα father 4160 ποιούντα doing; 3739-1063 α γαρ for what 302 αν ever 1565 εκείνος that one 4160 ποιή should do, 3778 ταύτα these 2532 και also 3588 ο the 5207 υιός son 3668 ομοίως in like manner 4160 ποιεί does.   5:20   3588-1063 ο γαρ For 3962 πατήρ the father 5368 φιλεί is fond of 3588 τον the 5207 υιόν son, 2532 και and 3956 πάντα [³all things 1166 δείκνυσιν ¹shows 1473 αυτώ ²to him] 3739 α which 1473 αυτός he 4160 ποιεί does; 2532 και and 3173 μείζονα greater 3778 τούτων [²than these 1166 δείξει ³he will show 1473 αυτώ ⁴to him 2041 έργα ¹works], 2443 ίνα that 1473 υμείς you 2296 θαυμάζητε should marvel.   5:21   5618-1063 ώσπερ γαρ For as 3588 ο the 3962 πατήρ father 1453 εγείρει raises 3588 τους the 3498 νεκρούς dead, 2532 και and 2227 ζωοποιεί restores to life; 3779 ούτως so 2532 και also 3588 ο the 5207 υιός son, 3739 ους whom 2309 θέλει he wants, 2227 ζωοποιεί he restores to life.   5:22   3761-1063 ουδέ γαρ For neither 3588 ο the 3962 πατήρ father 2919 κρίνει judges 3762 ουδένα any one, 235 αλλά but 3588 την   2920-3956 κρίσιν πάσαν all judgment 1325 δέδωκε he has given 3588 τω to the 5207 υιώ son;   5:23   2443 ίνα that 3956 πάντες all 5091 τιμώσι should esteem 3588 τον the 5207 υιόν son, 2531 καθώς as 5091 τιμώσι they esteem 3588 τον the 3962 πατέρα father. 3588 ο The one 3361 μη not 5091 τιμών esteeming 3588 τον the 5207 υιόν son, 3756-5091 ου τιμά esteems not 3588 τον the 3962 πατέρα father 3588 τον   3992 πέμψαντα sending 1473 αυτόν him.   5:24   281 αμήν Amen, 281 αμήν amen, 3004 λέγω I say 1473 υμίν to you, 3754 ότι that 3588 ο the 3588 τον one 3056-1473 λόγον μου [²my word 191 ακούων ¹hearing], 2532 και and 4100 πιστεύων trusting 3588 τω in the one 3992 πέμψαντί sending 1473 με me, 2192 έχει has 2222 ζωήν [²life 166 αιώνιον ¹eternal], 2532 και and 1519 εις [²into 2920 κρίσιν ³judgment 3756-2064 ουκ έρχεται ¹comes not], 235 αλλά but 3327 μεταβέβηκαν has crossed over 1537 εκ from 3588 του   2288 θανάτου death 1519 εις unto 3588 την   2222 ζωήν life.   5:25   281 αμήν Amen, 281 αμήν amen, 3004 λέγω I say 1473 υμίν to you, 3754 ότι that 2064 έρχεται there comes 5610 ώρα an hour, 2532 και and 3568 νυν now 1510.2.3 εστιν is, 3753 ότε when 3588 οι the 3498 νεκροί dead 191 ακούσονται shall hear 3588 της the 5456 φωνής voice 3588 του of the 5207 υιού son 3588 του   2316 θεού of God, 2532 και and 3588 οι the ones 191 ακούσαντες hearing 2198 ζήσονται shall live.   5:26   5618-1063 ώσπερ γαρ For as 3588 ο the 3962 πατήρ father 2192 έχει has 2222 ζωήν life 1722 εν in 1438 εαυτώ himself, 3779 ούτως so 1325 έδωκε he gave 2532 και also 3588 τω to the 5207 υιώ son 2222 ζωήν [²life 2192 έχειν ¹to have] 1722 εν in 1438 εαυτώ himself;   5:27   2532 και and 1849 εξουσίαν [²authority 1325 έδωκεν ¹he gave] 1473 αυτώ to him 2532 και even 2920 κρίσιν [²judgment 4160 ποιείν ¹to execute], 3754 ότι for 5207 υιός [²son 444 ανθρώπου ³of man 1510.2.3 εστί ¹he is].   5:28   3361 μη Do not 2296 θαυμάζετε wonder 3778 τούτο at this! 3754 ότι For 2064 έρχεται comes 5610 ώρα an hour 1722 εν in 3739 η which 3956 πάντες all 3588 οι the ones 1722 εν in 3588 τοις the 3419 μνημείοις tombs 191 ακούσονται shall hear 3588 της   5456-1473 φωνής αυτού his voice,   5:29   2532 και and 1607 εκπορεύσονται they shall exit; 3588 οι the ones 3588 τα   18 αγαθά [²good things 4160 ποιήσαντες ¹doing] 1519 εις unto 386 ανάστασιν a resurrection 2222 ζωής of life; 3588-1161 οι δε but the ones 3588 τα   5337 φαύλα [²heedlessly 4238 πράξαντες ¹acting] 1519 εις unto 386 ανάστασιν a resurrection 2920 κρίσεως of judgment.   5:30   3756 ου Not 1410-1473 δύναμαι εγώ am I able 4160 ποιείν to do 575 απ΄ of 1683 εμαυτού myself 3762 ουδέν anything. 2531 καθώς As 191 ακούω I hear 2919 κρίνω I judge; 2532 και and 3588 η   2920 κρίσις [²judgment 3588 η   1699 εμή ¹my] 1342-1510.2.3 δικαία εστίν is just, 3754 ότι for 3756 ου I do not 2212 ζητώ seek 3588 το   2307 θέλημα [²will 3588 το   1699 εμόν ¹my], 235 αλλά but 3588 το the 2307 θέλημα will 3588 του of the 3992-1473 πέμψαντός με [²sending me forth 3962 πατρός ¹father].   5:31   1437 εάν If 1473 εγώ I 3140 μαρτυρώ testify 4012 περί concerning 1683 εμαυτού myself, 3588 η   3141-1473 μαρτυρία μου my testimony 3756-1510.2.3 ουκ έστιν is not 227 αληθής true.   5:32   243-1510.2.3 άλλος εστίν There is another - 3588 ο the one 3140 μαρτυρών testifying 4012 περί concerning 1473 εμού me. 2532 και And 1492 οίδα I know 3754 ότι that 227-1510.2.3 αληθής εστιν [³is true 3588 η ¹the 3141 μαρτυρία ²testimony] 3739 ην which 3140 μαρτυρεί he testifies 4012 περί concerning 1473 εμού me.   5:33   1473 υμείς You 649 απεστάλκατε have sent 4314 προς to * Ιωάννην John, 2532 και and 3140 μεμαρτύρηκε he testifies 3588 τη the 225 αληθεία truth.   5:34   1473-1161 εγώ δε But I 3756 ου do not 3844 παρά [⁴from 444 ανθρώπου ⁵man 3588 την ²the 3141 μαρτυρίαν ³testimony 2983 λαμβάνω ¹receive], 235 αλλ΄ and 3778 ταύτα these things 3004 λέγω I say, 2443 ίνα that 1473 υμείς you 4982 σωθήτε should be delivered.   5:35   1565 εκείνος That one 1510.7.3 ην was 3588 ο the 3088 λύχνος lamp 3588 ο   2545 καιόμενος burning 2532 και and 5316 φαίνων shining, 1473-1161 υμείς δε and you 2309 ηθελήσατε wanted 21 αγαλλιασθήναι to exult 4314 προς for 5610 ώραν an hour 1722 εν in 3588 τω   5457-1473 φωτί αυτού his light.   5:36   1473-1161 εγώ δε But I 2192 έχω have 3588 την the 3141 μαρτυρίαν testimony 3173 μείζω greater 3588 του than * Ιωάννου John; 3588-1063 τα γαρ for the 2041 έργα works 3739 α which 1325 έδωκέ [³gave 1473 μοι ⁴me 3588 ο ¹the 3962 πατήρ ²father] 2443 ίνα that 5048 τελειώσω I should perfect 1473 αυτά them, 1473 αυτά [³themselves 3588 τα ¹the 2041 έργα ²works] 3739 α which 1473 εγώ I 4160 ποιώ do 3140 μαρτυρεί testify 4012 περί concerning 1473 εμού me, 3754 ότι that 3588 ο the 3962 πατήρ father 1473-649 με απέσταλκε has sent me.   5:37   2532 και And 3588 ο the 3992-1473 πέμψας με [²sending me forth 3962 πατήρ ¹father], 1473 αυτός he 3140 μεμαρτύρηκεν has testified 4012 περί concerning 1473 εμού me. 3777 ούτε Neither 5456-1473 φωνήν αυτού his voice 191 ακηκόατε have you heard 4455 πώποτε at any time, 3777 ούτε nor 1491-1473 είδος αυτού his appearance 3708 εωράκατε have you seen.   5:38   2532 και And 3588 τον   3056-1473 λόγον αυτού his word 3756-2192 ουκ έχετε you have not 3306 μένοντα abiding 1722 εν in 1473 υμίν you. 3754 ότι For 3739 ον the one whom 649-1565 απέστειλεν εκείνος that one sent, 3778 τούτω in this one 1473 υμείς you 3756 ου do not 4100 πιστεύετε believe.   5:39   2045 ερευνάτε You search 3588 τας the 1124 γραφάς scriptures 3754 ότι that 1473 υμείς you 1380 δοκείτε think 1722 εν in 1473 αυταίς them 2222 ζωήν [³life 166 αιώνιον ²eternal 2192 έχειν ¹to have], 2532 και and 1565 εκείναί these 1510.2.6 εισιν are 3588 αι the ones 3140 μαρτυρούσαι testifying 4012 περί concerning 1473 εμού me.   5:40   2532 και And 3756 ου you do not 2309 θέλετε want 2064 ελθείν to come 4314 προς to 1473 με me, 2443 ίνα that 2222 ζωήν [²life 2192 έχητε ¹you should have].   5:41   1391 δόξαν Glory 3844 παρά from 444 ανθρώπων men 3756-2983 ου λαμβάνω I receive not.   5:42   235 αλλ΄ But 1097 έγνωκα I have known 1473 υμάς you, 3754 ότι that 3588 την the 26 αγάπην love 3588 του   2316 θεού of God 3756-2192 ουκ έχετε you have not 1722 εν in 1438 εαυτοίς yourselves.   5:43   1473 εγώ I 2064 ελήλυθα have come 1722 εν in 3588 τω the 3686 ονόματι name 3588 του   3962-1473 πατρός μου of my father, 2532 και and 3756 ου you did not 2983 λαμβάνετέ receive 1473 με me. 1437 εάν If 243 άλλος another 2064 έλθη should come 1722 εν in 3588 τω   3686 ονόματι [²name 3588 τω   2398 ιδίω ¹his own], 1565 εκείνον that one 2983 λήψεσθε you will receive.
