Romanian⁽ⁱ⁾ ² Şi împăratul a zis lui Ioab, căpetenia oştirii, care se afla lîngă el:,,Străbate toate seminţiile lui Israel, dela Dan pînă la Beer-Şeba; să se facă numărătoarea poporului, şi să ştiu la cît se ridică numărul lor.`` ³ Ioab a zis împăratului:,,Domnul, Dumnezeul tău, să făcă poporul de o sută de ori mai mare, şi împăratul, domnul meu, să vadă cu ochii lui lucrul acesta! Dar pentru ce vrea împăratul, domnul meu, să facă lucrul acesta?`` ⁴ Împăratul a stăruit în porunca pe care o dădea lui Ioab şi căpeteniilor oştirii; şi Ioab şi căpeteniile oştirii au plecat dela împărat, ca să facă numărătoarea poporului Israel.

Ukrainian⁽ⁱ⁾ ² І сказав цар до Йоава, вождя війська, що з ним: Перемандруй серед усіх Ізраїлевих племен від Дану аж до Беер-Шеви, і перелічіть народ, і я пізнаю число цього народу. ³ І сказав Йоав до царя: Нехай же Господь, Бог твій, додасть до народу в сто раз стільки, скільки є, а очі мого пана, царя, бачать. Та нащо пан мій, цар, уподобав собі таку річ? ⁴ Та цареве слово до Йоава та на військових провідників перемогло. І вийшов Йоав та військові провідники від царя, щоб перелічити Ізраїлів народ.
